Vecchia Sizzano Sizzano Reviews
Very nice location, impeccable service, kindness and professionalism, two details that make the difference. Very good and carefully prepared food. Highly recommended.
Very beautiful and welcoming. The cuisine is truly excellent, the dishes are prepared with care and attention to detail, and the service is impeccable. Highly recommended!
Very nice and welcoming place, the owner, Cina, immediately made us feel at ease. The dishes were very good and the quality/price ratio was excellent, there is a good selection of local wines. The waiter was a little awkward but that's okay... he was a very young guy, he was endearing. We will definitely be back.
A place with meticulous attention to detail, the dishes are delicious. You can tell the owners put a lot of effort into serving their customers in a welcoming setting with wonderful aromas. Kudos to the owners.
I've been to Vecchia Sizzano several times, an excellent restaurant where you can sample traditional dishes in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I have a weakness for the agnolotti with roast beef sauce, which I consider among the best I can remember. Highly recommended.
Almost every Sunday evening, I go to dinner with my wife at this lovely restaurant. Charming location Friendly and competent owners Excellent service High-quality, perfectly cooked dishes Good value for money 100% recommended! Thank goodness there are places like this...
Superb restaurant with an excellent menu at a truly reasonable price. The mixed antipasti are delicious (they even made a gluten-free version for me, as I'm celiac) and the risottos are fabulous. The setting is rustic but very charming, creating a welcoming and family-like atmosphere. Recommended for anyone looking for a good meal in a genuine place!
Simply fantastic, we felt like family, truly special and appreciated. The wine recommendation was spot on! The food was delicious, from appetizer to dessert, and the location was original and well-maintained, with that personal touch that makes it simply unique. Thanks and greetings from the couple from Como who were celebrating their anniversary. See you next time! 🥰
A great place with authentic and good quality food! With professional and welcoming service! Amazing atmosphere! Thank you for this beautiful evening! Highly recommended!
An excellent restaurant in its simplicity. Perfect if you're looking for something traditional yet delicious. Furthermore, everything is adapted with great imagination and creativity. The trio of panna cottas was very good. The prices were more than fair for what we ate. The staff were friendly, the place was welcoming, and it's located next to a public parking lot.
The adjective "old" perhaps refers to the location, a renovated old tenement house. The restaurant, however, is run by a young staff who offers a traditional menu revisited with a modern twist. I had the excellent appetizer of cured meats, veal with tuna sauce, peppers with bagna cauda and tomino cheese, wonderful tagliolini with wild boar ragù, and a roast beef with plums and potatoes. I also had an interesting dessert of apples cooked in passito wine and cinnamon with vanilla ice cream, all washed down with an excellent Sizzano DOC. The service was impeccable and the bill was reasonable.
Excellent restaurant with typical local dishes and wines! The restaurant is quaint, furnished with modern touches that contrast beautifully with local antiques. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. The price is absolutely right for the quality and quantity of food offered. I will definitely be back!
Great place to try Piemontese food
Super
I really liked the place overall (from the service to the wines and the food). The wine is really good, a great selection, as is the excellent wine list. I also really enjoyed the food (excellent pairings and excellent quality of the ingredients). I'm giving it 4 stars because of my (subjective) personal preference: I expected the trio of first courses to be more generous, but, again, that's my personal preference. Otherwise, I can only recommend this place; it's worth trying at least once in your life. Congratulations to everyone!
On my fifth try, I managed to book a table at this restaurant just outside Sizzano. Located on the ground floor of what's known as an "open keep," a structure with load-bearing structures, a roof, and a lack of walls on one side where hay was once stored, the restaurant is well-maintained with heraldic-style decorations on the wall to the side of the entrance overlooking a small square that also serves as a parking lot for diners. The staff, though limited, is courteous and reasonably knowledgeable. We were served a glass of prosecco as an aperitif and an appetizer as an entrée. The menu is moderate and balanced. The caserecce with mushrooms and the braised beef with polenta are off-menu and offered due to the temporary availability of mushrooms and suitable beef. Everything is well prepared, if a bit conventional. The chocolate and pear cake is delicious. Anti-Covid regulations are adhered to: cheese, salt, bread, and breadsticks are in individual bags, and the menu is laminated. The restrooms are clean and tidy. Overall, a decent restaurant with attentive food preparation; perhaps a little conventional, with dishes prepared with standard ingredients. Prices, including those for wines, are reasonable.
Had an excellent meal here with great service. Highlights were the antipasto and primi (first courses). Great selection of local wines from Ghemme/Gattinara area. Definitely coming back...
Il locale ha ampi spazi, lo stile e’ piuttosto rustico. Buone le proposte del menù. Abbiamo provato i vari tipi di carne: anatra, coniglio, brasato e vitello, buona. L’antipasto misto mi è piaciuto. …
