Beekman Ale House Sleepy Hollow Reviews
This is hands down my favorite pizza place and my favorite bar. The rotating selection of drafts is always amazing, and the food is delicious. I would spend every day here if I could. Do yourself a favor and give it a try. Get yourself a piece of tiramisu if you can!
The food is great, expect it to be busy on the weekend or Fridays. Watch excellent bartending from the bar, or enjoy some space away from the crazy at a table (you just might wait) but it’s worth it. 11/10 - it’s not NY style but great pizza. Always a rotating beer list, about 20 beers and a full bar.
I stumbled upon Beekman Ale House during a trip to Sleepy Hollow, and it was one of those rare "random stops" that turns into a highlight of the trip. The atmosphere is wonderful—warm and welcoming, yet quiet enough to actually have a conversation, which is a breath of fresh air compared to some of the rowdier spots in town. The food here is the real star, specifically the pizza. I had heard rumors about their Detroit-style pizza, and it lived up to every bit of the hype. The crust was the most fabulous crispy texture I’ve ever tasted, with just the right balance of toppings. My only regret is that the Detroit-style is currently a Tuesday-only special, though it definitely deserves a permanent spot on the menu! Even if you miss the Tuesday window, the regular pies are easily some of the best I've ever had. Don't skip the garlic knots either; they are an absolute 10/10 and perfect for sharing. To round out the meal, the Espresso Martini was mixed to perfection. I noticed the Guinness pour could have been a bit more precise, but the excellent service more than made up for it. The staff is consistently attentive, making the whole experience feel seamless. I’ll definitely be dreaming of that crispy crust until my next visit!
It’s always a great experience at Beekman Ale House—wonderful atmosphere, excellent service, and consistently great food—but they have truly outdone themselves with their Detroit-style pizzas! Perfect in every way: just the right amount of everything, atop the most fabulous crispy crust we've ever tasted. We dined in and loved it so much that we brought a couple of pies home to share with the family, and they were a huge hit. I’ll be dreaming about that Detroit-style pizza until I’m back for it again…and again!!! **Edit- Detroit-style pizzas are currently only a Tuedsay special- hopefully they make it a staple menu item🤞🤞🤞
This place gets busy so be prepared for a wait for a table. I sat at the bar and had a beer before our table was ready (about 15 minutes). The bartender and the server were efficient and pleasant. We ordered the meatballs, wings, and garlic knots. The meatballs and wings were good, the garlic knots were okay. The vodka burrata pie was a nice refreshing slice. The hot honey pie definitely has some kick, so if your spice tolerance is low or you are prone to heart burn, the mix of tomato sauce and spice from this slice might not be a great idea. Fantastic beer selection if you like IPAs. Each of us tried something different and we all found something we liked. There are also plenty of non-alcoholic beer selections too, for those that appreciate the flavor, but don’t want ABV.
I have tried 9.0+ onebite rated pizzas and surprised to see this place at 7.3. it's much better than 7.3 (easy 9.0+) Pizza was good, good crust, good sauce. The draft beers were very good and they go very well with the vibe of the place. Easy to recommend to anyone.
Pedro (Peter) was super chill and a kind server. The Beekmam Ave pizza slapped and the drinks were solid. Ask about the local cider options. Their pepperoni is extremely good! You'll feel full without being bloated. Get a pie for two. Oh,. and the bbq wings are very good as well 😋
great spot for pizza and beer in sleepy hollow! we tried out this underrated restaurant and honestly it was a great! the atmosphere was amazing and wasn’t hard to get tables. the pizza was lowkey one of the best i’ve had for such a good price. the have draft beer which paired well with pizza. great for groups and couples for lunch/dinner.
Who’da thought a tavern would have terrific pizza and lots of great toppings and pizza options! We were pleasantly surprised after hiking to find this gem. Not to mention meeting a like minded couple at the bar and becoming friends!!! The salads, the prices and the portions along with back yard space, this is our new hotspot!
Honestly, probably the best wings I’ve had in quite some time because I don’t like super breaded wings I like baked wings that are flash fried and that’s exactly what these are. I asked for them to mix their buffalo sauce with honey to give it like a hot and honey sauce, and it was amazing. My friends had the pizza and they said it was also incredible. We came here before a concert at the state theatre and would 1000% come back if the opportunity presents itself. Parking was on the street and very easy to navigate. I wish these wings were in my neighborhood because I’d be having them every Friday night for take out!!!
The food was delicious. Went in to grab a quick lunch. So happy I got their garlic knots, it's the way I like mine with loads of garlic! The wings were cooked well and had a good flavor. The pizza was really delicious and if you like a very thin, crispy crust then you'll love this one. Got the Hot Honey Pizza, white pizza with Fresno peppers, Franks Red Hot, chicken cutlet and Mike's Hot Honey which brought this to another level. It was super busy during lunch and the wait time for food was a little long. The food was good though and our servers were busy but still stopped by often to give us updates. Nice quaint, cozy spot. On street parking if you can find a spot. Very busy for a Monday.
Very cozy little bar, and restaurant. Came here on a Monday 12:30 pm before heading back home I seen this place on Instagram and had to stop by. Best choice I made! ☺️ The waitress we had was super amazing. Her name was Cat.🐱and loved her cat tattoo. She recommended the garlic knots and the garlic chicken wings. They were to die for also had cheese and meatball pizza that was delicious as well. Will be definitely stopping by when visiting the area. Thank you for the good experience. 🎃🐾🐱
It's an okay place to grab a bite. Indoor seating is rather cramped and it was chilly so the outside seating was not popular. Staff super friendly. First time trying it since we were exploring sleepy hallow. Reasonably priced. A bit dark. Pizza was okay. The fried mozzarella is a must-have with the spicy marinara.
Creative bar-style pizza's with simple salads and app's to pair. Great craft beer tap list with brews from Hill Farmstead, Trillium, and Other Half. Unfortunately, the bartender taking table orders wasn't the most helpful...
Delicious pizza flavors, wonderful service, great atmosphere. A great spot to meet up with friends for a small bite and have a few drinks. Cash and credit are both accepted. Street parking only, which is very limited. The pizza is about a personal 12' bar-style pie. One to three people could share a pie easily. Highly recommend the pepperoni, hot honey, BBQ chicken, and the Beekman Ave pizzas. Each has great flavor and variety for everyone to try. 05/2024
The atmosphere was actually really nice — cozy and welcoming, and the staff were kind and attentive. However, our pizza came out completely cold. The servers offered to take it back or remake it, but that would’ve taken another 30 minutes, which was disappointing. So while I appreciated the people and the vibe, the food itself was honestly cold, crusty, and not enjoyable at all.
