Pita Dream Syracuse Reviews
New to this establishment, I’ve ordered from here a few times, I’ve never been inside yet.. but I called today about my order & the gentleman that I spoke to prompted me to write this review… he was very upbeat, happy to help me with no problem, he was very friendly & inviting! I definitely recommend pita dream! The food is amazing thus far & I will continue to order here! -Lilly
Such good food and very friendly staff. The two of us shared a chicken platter and a loaded dream fries. The loaded dream fries were SO good!!! Also very reasonable prices. Highly recommend it!
Food is amazing, people are great nice in the area is convenient. Nice big window to sit at and look out. Bathrooms are clean and everything’s made fresh. Every time I come to Syracuse, I’m coming here to eat!
I had a wonderful experience at Pita Dream. It is by far the best Mediterranean food in Syracuse. They have excellent homemade lemonade. Make sure you try the “amazing” falafel. Give it a try; you will not be disappointed.
I was visiting downtown and casually entered because it was the nearest place to eat. Excellent choice. The person who served me was very kind and helped me with the menu. The food was quickly served and very tasty, good quality, the pita was soft, the ingredients tasted fresh. They gave me their homemade Iced-T to try and it is very good and refreshing also some fries with a great tasting sauce. Will be back to town in two weeks and will definitely come back.
Oh man, dare I say the best.. gyro I've ever had? Shawarma was great, sauce was great, and the cucumber tomato mystery mix was IT. That cucumber, tomato, spice and sauce mix really brought everything home, A++. The man who took my order was very helpful and kind. Everything was clean, so I ate in. Definitely a great spot with a peaceful atmosphere for eating in. I'll be back! A++
Just went today for the first time and was so impressed. To start the owner was so nice and friendly. Next the food was AMAZING. I've had shawarma in alot of different places and the food here is at the top of my list. I always order extra garlic sauce and this time I didn't even use it. The sauce they had was so good. Next the dream fries don't skip them they are crispy fries with a chipotle ranch like sauce. And last was the falafel. I'm not usually a falafel girl but the falafel was so flavorful and bright green and when dipped in the nightmare sauce it was amazing. Definitely go here you won't regret it.
We randomly found this place while walking around. Overall great experience. I had the kafta platter. So good. I had a side of falafel too that was very flavorful and cooked just right. Three of us walked in 10 minutes before closing. We didn’t realize they were about to close. You never would have known by the employees reactions. They were super friendly and helpful. If I lived here, this would for sure be one of my regular places to eat.
After being recommended by friends, our family tried Pita Dream for dinner. We enjoy authentic middle eastern and Mediterranean cuisine, and Pita Dream was excellent. While the menu was not as robust as other area restaurants, the platters are perfect portions and tasted fantastic. We all agreed that we will be ordering Pita Dream again. Highly recommended.
First time here, the food was really tasty and the portions were good. I had their dream platter and a side of hummus. Hummus was super smooth, and the platter was great. The garlic sauce was a little bland, and I ordered $2 worth of side sauces to try the different ones they had, and they forgot to include them.
I bought one chicken platter and two dream platters, one of the dream platters was supposed be WITHOUT tahini sauce. Of course I didn't find this out until I was already home. This was ordered without the tahini sauce due to a sensitivity. After having trouble finding a place to park, and having to walk two blocks to get my food, I'm not happy with my first visit here. I'm thinking that I probably won't be back here again. I can get better food elsewhere for about the same price and be able to park within 100 feet of the front door.
The meats and rice was dry. The lamb didn't taste like lamb and it wasn't enough sauce. I don't believe the reviews how is their food good it was awful and not fresh at all. The meat was overcooked and it didn't taste like lamb or chicken. I will never order from their again and it's sad I can get better tasting food from a truck in the city. I give it a 1.
Today I bought 3 mixed platter for my guests. I paid $14.50 each, so almost $50 total... and I had the worst rice bowl I've ever had! and I still have half of it left, I couldn't even finish it! The problem is that there was very little meat and chicken... we paid 50 dollars just to eat rice... and the salad was also very little... the taste was absolutely mediocre... a total disappointment... Any food truck in NYC tastes better than here. I will never choose again!
