Tried this spot for the first time, and their breakfast sandwiches easily compete with some of the best I had. I tried the Western on a plain bagel and it was truly delectable. Nice crispy bacon with the egg and cheese, paired well with the red onions and chipotle mayo. Can’t wait to try their other sandwiches soon. Will be coming back!!!

All around an amazing spot to stop, grab a good bagel and relax for a minute. The staff is quick and hasn’t messed up an order once since I’ve been coming here once a week for just about a year. I will be coming here every Sunday (if not more frequently) for as long as they open their doors.

Have you ever gone to a restaurant and it felt like home? Every time I walk in the door at Bagels, Alaina and her staff greet me (and everyone else) with a smile and a kind word. They do their best to remember people’s names and orders, and always go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. Not to mention the bagels are always fresh and delicious! If I could give this place more than five stars I would!

These are the absolute best bagels I have ever had! I am a huge Bagel fan and I definitely have tried many different Bagels from different locations. I was a little surprised by the price which was a little higher than expected. Once I took my first bite I was absolutely in love! Nice texture, dense chewy inside with a slightly crisp outside. I ate mine playing so I could really enjoy the flavor. Despite being a little higher price they are definitely worth it and I will be back every time that I am in Syracuse!

This has been by far my favorite bagel shop for the past five years. The bagels are always so fresh and so fluffy. I recently have gone gluten-free and let me just say their gluten-free bagels are even delicious. I love getting a bacon egg and cheese on a gluten-free bagel and the eggs are always cooked so perfectly you can tell they’re fresh

Easily the top spot for bagels in the CNY area, worth a drive even, and one of the best bagels I've ever had. It's quintessential aesthetic, wood fire vibes, and absolutely delicious bagels make for a wonderful experience every time. The staff is kind, diligent, and fast with orders even in their busiest times. Their rosemary salt bagels are divine!

These bagels are so freaking good. I’m not from Syracuse but a family member always picks up bagels from here whenever we’re in town! Most recently I tried the western on a spicy everything bagel and man I can’t stop thinking about it three weeks later. Can’t wait to try this place again!

Water Street is often our go-to for lunch. I love their ability to web order, making it quick and easy. Last week, they did have to remake our order because someone stole it from the shelf. Nothing they could've done about that. They remade it for us quickly!

Delicious. We were recommended here and it didn’t miss. This place doesn’t have a ton of seating, but their sandwiches are big and tasty. The coffee was very good as well. Definitely would visit again.

We are traveling through Syracuse but stop to do a tour of Syracuse University. We need breakfast and wanted bagels. We found Water St Bagels on Google and we are so glad we did! The bagels are made on site in a wood fired oven ! The food is fresh and made to order! We even bought extra bagels for our roadtrip! If you don’t go here for your bagels… you’re failing as an adult. So pull it together and make the right choice 😂😁😁 anyway it’s awesome! Go get some!

Your bonus bagels will not go Un noticed!! Thank you so much. This is the most addictive breakfast sandwich joint in Cuse. N yes I said joint, cuz that’s what I’m blowing down before I go here. My order is the western and I add ham to it. Spicy everything bagels or bust! Always get a couple on the side. 15$. You cannot beat it anywhere.

What can I not say about this fantastic place? The atmosphere the staff, the food and the coffee was just an absolute pleasure. I stopped in on a snowy day in April out of the whim, I mean really it was not a hard choice because he doesn’t like coffee and bagels. But boy am I glad that I did. The coffee was fantastic. The bagel with jalapeño cream cheese was even better, the staff and atmosphere was just amazing. You add that by window seating while snowing was just a perfect experience well out by myself. Thank you.

Ordered from the website, very fast! Estimated time was 10-15 but ready in 5min. Great atmosphere and delicious bagels. I got bacon egg and cheese with 2 eggs on an english muffin bagel- so good!!

Absolutely delicious and will definitely be back. Only complaint is my wife and I were ignored for a few minutes while waiting at the register and when the young lady finally walked over, we had to repeat our order multiple times because she kept staring off into space. Aside that, we ordered two Maples with French toast bagels and they were absolutely amazing.

A clean, well organized and accommodating food option for bagels and sandwiches. The menu offers a wide selection of bagels and sandwiches, both breakfast and lunch. The prices are reasonable with quality ingredients used. The wood fired baking produces a slight crunch on the outside with a soft and slightly chewy inside. The result is a good bagel. The English Muffin bagel is good with a balanced and recognizable flavor. Online orders are accepted and handled efficiently. I chose to order in the store. The staff member taking the order was patient and helpful as I asked for modifications for dietary reasons. The order was prepared correctly and quickly. This is a great small business with quality bagel items, a customer focused staff and good prices. Well worth a visit.

Finally found a good spot for a egg and cheese on a bagel. The bagels were delicious, not as soft as I normally like, but just as good! It gets very busy on the weekends. When you walk in, have to push to the back past people waiting for their food to get to the order location. Wait was about 15 minutes for 1 breakfast sandwich and a plain bagel with cream cheese on Saturday.

Great place for breakfast . We tried the Egg and cheese bagel and it was fresh and delicious. We also tried the coffee which was decent but nothing fancy . They were very much customer focused and the team seem to build a connection with the customers. Definitely a good place for breakfast. They have limited seating also. Highly recommended

I have to say i had a great first experience getting breakfast with my niece for a quick bite before starting our day. I heard about the place And had to give it a try. The staff was really nice and everything. I had that bacon 🥓 and 🍳 on a poppy seed bagel 🥯 she had the same. I have to say this was delicious i like how they cooked the eggs. it wasn't scrambled like other places make em. New favorite spot for bacon and eggs bagels. It almost Reminds me of NYC bacon and eggs bagel but this isy opinion. It does get busy and it takes a little long to get it but i enjoyed the food.

If I could afford to eat bagels from here every single day, I would. I’ve never had bagels this delicious in my life. The Albuquerque bagel is my go-to. It’s incredibly savory and perfectly made each time. The staff seem very friendly as well. 11/10, highly recommend.

Busy spot and respectable food. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area; however there is limited seating so if it’s a cold day and you want to eat in perhaps find a time when it is slower. Recommend the rosemary bagel!

Such good bagels and sandwiches! OMG, strawberry chocolate cream cheese was so good and especially on a cinnamon raisin bagel! It really gave you that mix of nice bakery and cabin feels!

Stopped into grab a breakfast sandwich to go. Even with a line almost out the door they have a great system that moved us all through quickly. Our breakfast sandwichs didn't have toasted bagels and maybe that was on us for not knowing we needed to ask for that. Just a heads up if you are looking for a toasted or warm bagel to ask for that. We will definitely be going back!

**editing review because of Meg’s timely feedback and the information about storing the bagels. I appreciate her attention to this review. Original review I’ve given their gluten free bagel sandwiches two chances now. From both experiences it is clear that they do not store them properly. They are dry and almost inedible. Today I was excited to try the Hot Honey Egg sandwich. To my disappointment they left of the scallion cream cheese that it comes with, leaving the bagel even more dry. The rest of the ingredients had great flavor, but if they properly stored and prepared the gf bagels, they would be great. Probably won’t go back.

My boyfriend and I stopped at Water Street Bagel for breakfast. Many of our friends had recommended it to us, and we were excited to taste their many bagel options. I ordered the Super Veggie on a sesame bagel, and my boyfriend got a sesame bagel with scallion cream cheese. The bagels were alright, a bit stale and not as warm or toasted as I would have wished. The place was packed and we waited a bit before getting a place to sit. I would recommend ordering online, picking the bagels of, and eating them at home.
