Tarry Tavern was a wonderful place. Had a nice dinner in this cozy and nice restaurant. Staff was very attentive. Food was great. Real surprise was the polenta which out shined the braised beef short ribs I got. I did not see that coming. It is on the pricer side but the quality is great (you get what you pay for). Overall, very happy I tried this place, definitely would go back again!

We arrived in Tarrytown and needed to get some lunch and we just randomly picked the Tarry Tavern. SO glad we did! Everything we ordered was fantastic - even the complimentary bread they brought out was amazing. Service was great, and super friendly. Would definitely return. We had the pork cheek appetizer, the sea scallops, the halibut, and then for dessert the pear almond tart and the tiramisu. Just really great.

The food was good not sure i can justify the price though for what it was. A lil cramped inside and dimly lit but i guess its what gives it its rustic charm. Definitely not a casual dining experience so be prepared to spend money. Personally it wasn’t for me.

Came here on a friend's recommendation that has visited this place a couple of times before. Wait was a little long, staff was friendly. Started with the calamari that was perfectly cooked and very tasty. Entree was the beef short rib that was fall apart and just perfect. Overall the meal was great and will definitely be back when in the area!

We stopped here for lunch after a hike at Bear Mountain. A bit pricey for what we got, but hey it's Westchester. The burger was decent, and I liked my Cobb salad, which I substituted goat cheese for blue cheese and they were happy to oblige. The mussels and the stuffed calamari were also tasty. I would come here again for a dinner, some of the main dishes looked really great.

Great lunch spot with outdoor seating. Had the chilled pea soup, chicken molasses, steak salad, and wagyu burger. Everything was cooked to perfection.

I stopped by here with my Dad for a quick breakfast. It was completely empty and we were helped as soon as we walked in. Although it was pretty small, it was a comfortable environment. I ordered a turkey bacon, egg and cheese sandwich and it came with a side of fries/chips. The bread that was used for this sandwich was spectacular, it was the perfect combination of softness and crispness. The side of fries/chips were delicious and I am almost positive they were homemade. Overall, this was a pleasant restaurant with above average food in a quaint town.

The staff was nice but they don’t ask for how would we like the meat to be cook. This was too much raw for a duck. We pay cash and still were charge taxes almost 10 dollar

I was visiting the area on business and was searching for a place to have a small meeting with some colleagues about business and with these reviews and pictures I thought it would be perfect! When I arrived, everything seemed to go smoothly. Colleagues arrived and we ordered - which is where everything started going south. Drinks took forever to arrive and the food ? Not even what we were expecting and even more time waiting on food than we did for our drinks. Had to ask our waiter and even spoke to a manager named Ana and her face was very plastered and unauthentic in the matter. Not only was this disorganized but in 2024 customers value diversity and there was one minority black server who we’ve seen Ana make racial passes at. There was a small commotion but it was noticeable. The black waiter left and Ana could be heard coaching the other staff members. It was really wasn’t our business but it could be heard by the patrons and that is so unprofessional and one could say the Waiter that left was being bullied. For the prices on their menu I would expect the staff to be treated better and for the service to be impeccable. Both which are not what we expected Wildly uncomfortable and will never recommend anyone to come here. Please do better. And hire more minority staff.
