Taco Samich

Taco Samich is the greatest place to eat on this Earth. I've been eating bean and cheese burritos from this place growing up and I'll always get them when I go back. Highly recommend.

This place has the best burritos, and carne asada tacos hands down. (And salsa Verde!!) Soooo good! My favorite place to get a burrito. I go out of my way, about 28 miles to go there. Delicious. And very friendly.

Awesome burritos. They take me two sittings to finish, so it's a great value! Good for to go or quick in and out, too. No table service.

Authentic Mexican, delicious salsa. Liked the chile Verde the best. Tacos were generous size, only needed two to feel full.

Delicious! They made me off menu vegan bean tacos, so good. Quick service. This is a fast casual place where you walk up to the counter to order and they bring the food to you. It wasn't busy, but for the price and taste, it should be.

We never have a bad meal here! I always order the chicken tostada and it’s loaded with chicken. I add my own sour cream and cheese, bc it doesn’t come with it, but you can ask to have it added. They put mustard on their tostadas which I thought was so weird for the longest time, so I’d order it without, but now I let them put it on and it’s seriously so good! Add the “sweet” salsa and you have an explosion of flavor. Husband always gets the crunchy carne asada tacos! Always chips and salsa. The green salsa tends to be a bit inconsistent as far as heat level but it’s so tasty! For a while the food was inconsistent in flavor and quality but now they are always great! It’s the only Mexican food in town that we will eat! Give it a try!

I haven't been to this place in three years because I moved out of state and it's still the best place in tehachapi. The service great, the food is so flavorful and good. Love this place so much. The portion ate so big! I git the nachos with carnitas and I left full and happy and I can't wait for my next visit here!

The restaurant was clean, cozy and inviting. The lady at the counter was very friendly. The food was fresh and delicious. We stopped here on the way from northern California to Las Vegas, nv for a bite to eat. We ordered enchiladas, with rice and beans and 2 bottles of coke. I highly recommend Taco Samich if you get the chance. I wanted a breakfast burrito but it was past breakfast time and the lady at the counter was willing to make it anyway. I didnt want to put her out, so I ordered the enchiladas.

I ordered a beef torta today. The bun, lettuce, tomato, and beef were fresh! I asked for the 'hot' salsa and it was warm and fresh. Not super hot. I also had a large horchata. It was very refreshing! It was take out only. I highly recommend eating at Taco Samich!

We Get An Absurd Amount Of Food For Cheap, Its Like Indian Street Venders We give Them A Penny And They Give Us There Whole Stock Basically, Yummy Food Although I Would put Some Seasoning On It, also the place needs Just A Little More Cleaning.

Good burrito. The breakfast burrito is better than the lunch/dinner ones. Daughter really like a the ride and quesadilla here. Right next to the park in a good location for takeout.

The chips and guacamole are worth the stop by themselves. And the carne asada is quite tasty too. It's authentic Mexican and usually busy which is one of those signs you take for positive and realize you were right to assume

Visiting tehachapi this past weekend while attending a wedding. I had a craving for a quesadilla and headed over to del taco. Sadly DEL TACO was proudly displaying a "B" 🤮 that was given to them by the health department. Did a quick Google search, and discovered Taco Samich ( they proudly display an "A" 😀 ). Restaurant appeared clean, prices were reasonable, and although overcooked my quesadilla was tasty. There was a limitation on the amount of salsa that you are allowed to consume. One small side cup for a taco, 2 for a burrito. I'm not one to waste food including salsa, but I like a lot of salsa/hot sauce on my food. I found this kind of odd and the first time I've ever noticed it in a Mexican restaurant. I could have forked out another 50 cents for another small side cup, but chose to use the one that came with my order sparingly....

This is an excellent Taco shop, on par with what you would find at your local 'Berto's in San Diego. If you ask, they will even make you a California burrito. Prices aren't crazy, though it is more expensive than Taco Bell.

Tried the fish taco and it was good.we tried beef burrito and taco. Both were good. Food was fresh and tasty. Prep time was quick and there are tables and booths. Sauces were good and fairly spicy, but not hot. We would be back, if we lived locally.

Decent food at reasonable prices. The fish burrito was good but a bit dry. The beans were tasty and everything tasted like it was homemade.

Waited 30 minutes for 2 burritos. My partner ordered a Chile Verde burrito which was underwhelming and soggy. I ordered an elephant burrito which was up to par, but was soggy by the time I received it. Price was around $24 for two mediocre meals.

A very cute little local spot. The food is pretty average, nice quiet relaxing atmosphere. Very good service and they keep everything very clean. The burrito and tostada we're rather small, but we were enjoying our visit to Tehachapi so it was no big deal.

Ordered the chicken hot cheeto burrito and got really bad food poisoning that lasted 2 full days. I recently decided to try them again since it’s been about 1 1/2 years. I ordered the taquitos. They are clearly store bought frozen taquitos thrown into a deep fryer and topped with cheap cheese and shredded lettuce. I will not be returning or trying this again establishment again. Idk what happened but they’ve gone downhill. Smh. Very disappointing

Disappointing. We have driven by this place often and finally decided to stop in for lunch... we ordered a fish, Carnitas and carne asada taco with chips and salsa. We were limited to one small plastic cup of salsa for the tacos and the reason was, " if we give you to much the owner gets mad." The meat was not seasoned and very bland. The service was definitely not with a smile. I would highly recommend not going there. We will not return.

Food had no flavor! guac. was probably bought from the dollar tree-was $10. Carnitas was flavorless. Worse so called Mexican food we've ever had.

Worst chicken tacos I've had in my life the chicken has no flavor and seems boiled. I ordered 3 of them and couldn't finish them. I had to buy more food else where.

$28 for an elephant burrito and two wet tostadas? Burrito wasn't horrible, but could've definitely been better. It was mostly rice and didn't have much flavor. Wasn't even given any lemons, but was at least given enough salsa to finish it. Lettuce was really wet so the tostadas were all soggy. Could've had something more filling and satisfying literally anywhere else. Oh well.

I bragged to my wife about this place and how good it was, the tacos were the best. Anyway I praised taco samich.... Man, idk what happened, I haven't been there in a few years and i didnt see the the older lady who was always there, i believe she owns the place. But the Food was horrible, the taco salad was gross, I had the Adobe tacos and Carne asada tacos, never tried anything so dry, my wife's mini tortas tasted like tuna, worst experience from the place I enjoyed eating... upsetting

One of the worst places we’ve eaten. The meat had sat so long it was completely overcooked and the flavor was too hot (out we like some heat), all of the salsa was extremely extremely hot with no mild or medium options, chips and salsa were super overpriced… Big disappointment.

Ordered daily special, Fish & Chips. Got 4 pc's of dark brown unidentifiable something. Most of them not chewable and all were soaked thru in grease. Chips were fine, so I spent $15 for fries. It was take out for my lunch break, so I lost out on returning food. I would rate this as a ZERO if I could. I was a long time diner, but this gives pause to ever returning. The cook should have some semblance of quality control.

I tried the carnitas enchiladas plate, it had very old, inedible meat in it. The rice tasted as if it had been left out for a few days, I had to spit it out. I wouldn't give their food to my dog. I'm glad I didn't get sick!
