Cannella bistrot Torino Reviews
A pleasant surprise. Wide selection of pastries and savory items. I'll definitely be back!
Federico: A young owner with extensive experience, the restaurant has grown very well after a series of management changes! Excellent quality, highly recommended.
A friend took me here, and it was so pleasant and delicious to have breakfast here. The atmosphere is delightful, welcoming, and fun!
Regular customers for 4 years now, they delight you with fragrant new treats every day. Homemade pastries and excellent coffee service. Highly recommended if you're passing through Corso Casale.
Beautiful bar and pastry shop in Corso Casale. One of the few, moreover, open on Sundays. We often go, also, to buy last-minute dry pastries to take to those who invite us to their home. The brioches and biscuits with pistachio cream are delicious. Really honest prices and very kind staff.
Great spot for breakfast. A huge variety of brioche including vegan options and oat milk for coffee. We have also come for evening drinks which were also good.
We went to this bistro for breakfast. It was a warm and welcoming place with innovative decor. We tried a bit of everything, including truly excellent cakes and croissants! The quality of the products was truly top-notch. The cappuccino was the best in terms of creaminess and flavor. The staff was young, friendly, and personable! Kudos to the owner.
Recommended. Young and friendly staff. Excellent selection of sweet and savory dishes. The kitchen prepares excellent lunch dishes with great attention to vegetables. The savory croissants with zucchini/eggplant and the semi-sweet rolls are unmissable. A wide selection of artisanal cakes, biscuits, desserts, pizzas, and focaccias.
A lovely place along the Po River promenade, recently discovered. Their strong point is undoubtedly their pastries (we're talking high-end pastries here). The coffee is excellent, and the interior and spacious outdoor area offer excellent table service. I completely disagree with the reviewer who described the place as dirty. The only downside, unfortunately, is the parking.
I'd say I've grown very fond of this place, especially over the last month. I walk along the Po River on weekends, and if I don't stop there to sweeten my day, the rest of my day seems meaningless. Excellent pastries, cakes, cappuccinos, coffees, etc. The staff is also very friendly. So, I recommend it... and how! If it was helpful, give me a like. ❤
Found it by chance for a quick breakfast. The place is cute, just steps from the Po River. Lots of pastries that look delicious. The service and atmosphere were average. The two croissants I ordered left me satisfied. Especially the cinnamon roll (or whatever it was). If I'm in the area, I'll definitely be back.
It was 6:00 PM on a Sunday when we went there, craving hot chocolate. Unfortunately, it was sold out, so we had to settle for two Margaritas. There was a little Nutella on the sides of the cups, and the milk was boiling hot, so the foam quickly collapsed (€3 each). The slice of strudel was good, but the portion was really small for the €2.50 we paid. There's a wide selection of cakes. On a positive note, the place is very welcoming, almost like a living room. The staff could be more engaging; we found them very cold.
I frequent and appreciate this establishment for a thousand reasons, from the location to the quality—especially the pastries and food. The only criticism I can make, in all honesty, concerns the table service and organization; in fact, some of the incidents reported by other reviewers seem realistic to me. Perhaps there's more attention paid to the kitchen and preparation—very good—but on this side of the counter, there's sometimes a bit of chaos. The philosophy of having to wait in line at the counter on weekends to order after you've already been seated is also unusual and not exactly forward-thinking.
I recommend it for breakfast but I don't recommend it for an aperitif. I drank a Chardonnay (it tasted corked), and they didn't even serve two chips, typical of any bar. I left for 5 euros, which is a fair price but leaves a lot to be desired in terms of service. I even made the joke: I'm leaving because my stomach is empty... but it wasn't picked up. Too bad I overestimated it.
