Love this place!!! Reminds me of home, exactly a hole in a wall, blink and you'll miss it place. The menu is simple, decor is plain but the food is quality 👌 Thats is what matters! I grabbed the Ali bowl for $20 thar came with Kalua pig and it was good!!! They need to advertise that more i instead of keeping it in the back. Not perfect and definitely has room to grow as the gain experience. Over all amazing place and a must try into what old skool local Hawaii poke shops were like.

So so so so yummy! Proper Hawaiian poke for real guys. Fish is so fresh and delicious and the portions are generous. Even the sides are great! Please give it a shot if you love poke.

Friendly staff, incredible food. Ali'i is one of those kind of places you just want to go to regularly for the vibes. The food, the staff, it all comes together to create something special. It also works great as a place to take your friends if you want to show off knowing a food place they may not have been. Was travelling from the UK, the staff treated me like I was a regular from the jump. I explained it was my first time in LA and asked for a Poke Bowl I'd remember and they definitely delivered. I'll be thinking about it for ages. Can't wait to go back again.

I went here about 2 weeks ago for business event and was craving poke. It was my first time here. The owner was awesome and super friendly! He let me sample the different flavors of poke and they were all delicious! Will definitely come back when I’m in town. Highly recommend!

Great Quality Fish and food! I’ve eaten over a thousand different poke spots in my lifetime and I know the difference between Americanized poke and traditional poke. This is traditional! The female that helped me was very kind and helpful since it was my first time. Both the flavor and texture of the rice and fish was perfect.. Sizing is smaller than normal portions. But you will get full! Trust me! Pricey more than the usual, but this is Traditional Authentic style poke. So pricing is premium and worth it. Parking is very small and the only downside to the location. But there’s parking elsewhere around, and the streets. Overall the Experience and Food Was Excellent!!

Great fresh poke that I can't get enough of! I usually go there weekly for my fix of poke like I'm in Hawaii. Parking can be difficult at times for to the drive in Starbucks depending on where you enter the lot from but it's not to bad. Haven't had a long wait for service ever. No place to sit and eat but that's ok with me.

I really enjoyed the Poke here at Ali'i, fresh, fresh, fresh. That is a big deal for me on Poke you can judge the first bought on how "bright" the fish is to your mouth when you take that first bite. I like the salad rice combo bowl, right proportion of each. The second big deal for me is the rice, I think I saw it come out of a light blue tub (sushi rice maker) and after I got home it tasted like a lightly flavored sushi rice. Out of all the Poke places in da' south bay, this was the best. Not overpowering and not scooped up with an ice cream scooper like other places and it was not wet. Bravo for that.

This is the healthiest thing you can get in the South Bay without making it yourself. I’m not sure I could do better myself honestly. The fish is always super fresh and they don’t drown it in sauces. Im addicted.

Very fresh, but the flavors were too overpowering for me personally. I’d rather eat their fish as is. The fish had this sticky texture to it and I might have tasted the freshest fish here. That’s why I thought it’s a shame they added any flavor at all. There’s no need for masking or improvement when the ingredients are so fresh! After trying different flavors, I went with what I thought were the most mild, and even they ended up being too salty that I had to take big spoonful of rice with every bite to balance out the sodium, making the small portion of poke enough in the end. Perhaps I was dehydrated at the time or I don’t know what authentic poke is supposed to taste like, or the cook that day tends to over-marinate, who knows. When I go back, hopefully they’ll have something lighter. In terms of freshness, they got my utmost respect, and I’m willing to eat with a big bowl of rice on the side again if need be. Hopefully not.

I had been hearing about this spot from many different people so last week I finally convinced my boyfriend to bring us home a couple bowls. I thought the fish was pretty fresh which is important! But we are talking like 2 ingredient bowls here. You have the fish part and then rice (or salad). The rice was so bad. So many hard uncooked pieces. I had what would have been a hopefully filling meal became a light snack because I couldn’t stomach the rice. Boyfriend did not enjoy his rice salad combo either, and didn’t find his fish to be as fresh as mine. When half the dish is inedible it’s a no for me.

Their el Segundo location has a nicer vibe. We always get the poke to go (no where to sit to eat). Quality is good but you only get the premade poke over rice.

Eh! The bowl I ordered was quite small and didn’t seem worth the price. The tuna were pretty bland. I was left feeling unsatisfied, and despite considering myself an average eater, I didn’t feel full afterward. Sides options were also limited just seaweed salad and avocado. Overall, it was underwhelming. I don’t think I’ll be returning. There are better options out there for authentic poke and this isn't one of them.

Overpriced They have a strange selection of side. And I took a smaller bowl with avocado and it gets more expensive than bigger bowl and avocado and one more side includes. Taste was ok. But tbh will not return. Guys who work where are very nice!

Poke was average, service super slow. We went at 7 pm and three of their poke's was empty. The girl working out front was nice but too slow. She WEIGHED everything! Rice, veggies, poke, etc. A guy in back brought out one of the empty poke's but didn't even attempt to help the girl with 4 or so people waiting. A bit expensive, we got a sampler for $16, you get three choices of poke and I'm guessing 2 oz of poke each as it was literally 5 or 6 pieces of fish each.

Some people have had a good deal and the location made it on a top eater list. I will just say that they allow you to sample the poke. Be brave enough to walk out. I thought the poke was terrible, but felt awkward. I miss that 20 bucks I spent. No one else should have regret spending their money.

For $16 I would have expected better potions and quality. The poke was OK but it was about a spoonful’s worth. I would have gotten a better deal from a poke place at a shopping mall food court. My husband got a chicken bowl that was just so dry. We were both still hungry after eating it. For what we paid, it was just not enough. And it’s only a takeout place so no seating area at all. Disappointing.
