Love the vibe here. Cozy, stylish atmosphere with great drinks and seriously good food. The pretzels and buffalo cauliflower are must-orders. Emry’s Garden is always a win.

My boyfriend recently moved to Troy, and I come to visit from New York City. Emry’s Garden is a gem and a real asset to the neighborhood. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff are always welcoming. The manager, Carl, has such a genuine and friendly way about him, which I really appreciate. That kind of hospitality really stands out. The prices are reasonable, the drink quality is great, and they have a fantastic cocktail menu with a wide variety of options. Their weekday happy hour is also a great bonus, and the outdoor space is wonderful when the weather is nice. The food has been consistently excellent. I’ve had the pizza, seafood, and pasta, and my boyfriend loves the tacos, pizza, and pasta as well. We always leave satisfied. I would absolutely recommend Emry’s Garden to friends, and honestly Carl’s kindness alone would make me want to return.

Visiting from SoCal and came back to this spot. We love the experience. Very inviting (comfortable) vibe. We don’t have resy but they accommodated our group. Staff was friendly; knew their menu. Service was fast. Food was delicious (burgers are bomb). Owner remembers us from last year. We’ll be coming back so until next time; keep doing what you’re doing.

Emry’s Garden in Troy delivered. The NY strip and sweet potato black bean burger were both solid, the Midnight Manhattan cocktail was smooth, and the birthday shot was a cool surprise. Service was on point. We are definitely going back.

Second time here with our friends. Ladies had the Sort Ribs Ragu and the hubbys had Mickies Riggies. Both selections were awesome and the on beer on tap selection was great. Service was top notch from Amanda and we loved the vibe. Cool place and great parking across the street. We will be back!

We used Emry's Garden to cater our small (7 people) intimate wedding that we recently held in our home. We chose them because the chef is the same chef from the classic Quintessence Restaurant that was located on New Scotland Avenue in Albany. We went to that establishment once a week for 9 years straight and since it was such an important element of our earlier dating years it is essentially part of our DNA. We placed an order of various appetizers - pretzels, bread, beer cheese, pepper jelly, etc. - with the main course of the Classic Quintessence Chicken Teriyaki with spinach fettuccini and salad. Our order came with plenty of spreads, dressing, and teriyaki sauce. We and our guests simply could not have been any happier. All of the food was delicious. The owner was so nice to deal with - thoughtful, communicative, and caring. Emry's Garden helped to make our special day all the more special. We simply cannot thank them enough!

The place is full of beautiful plants and it's a beautiful vibe to have dinner or a drink in, amazing date spot too. It's very warm and inviting and it's easy to forget the outside world exists when you're in here. I asked for grenadine in my gingerale and they happily made me a Shirley temple with delicious cherries. I also has the pretzels with cheese which was amazing and cauliflour. Prices were also surprisingly affordable as well. Waitstaff were educated and welcoming. Definitely returning.

What a night! Thank you to our server Amanda for making us feel so welcome in such a beautiful space, fantastic service and great wit! Celebrated 5 years together and couldn’t have picked a better place! The ambiance, the live music, and THE FOOD!!! Omg the best pasta I’ve had in a LONG time, and the pizza and wings were to die for! Definitely make a reservation as this is obviously a town favorite for a reason!

Solo date night + girls night out approved. The atmosphere is gorgeously romantic and rustic at the same time and plant filled! Host is lovely, our server as well. We didn’t realize VDay❤️ was a prix fixe menu but still lovely. The raspberry dark chocolate torte (?) was sublime the next day. Upstairs there’s a larger venue/performance space + downstairs the garage doors open to a plant-lined outdoor dining area during better weather months. Great central location in downtown Troy. Look for the Troy Beer Garden sign (it’s inside).

So happy we found this spot on the Happy Cow app! The ambiance was great, sweet music lots of plants and amazing food and drinks! I order the Pom Collins drink and my husband had the all agave margarita. Both were delicious! For food we ordered the Mac n cheese, grazing board, tacos, chick’s wings, chocolate fry bread and the general Taos cauliflower. Everything was great! Wish we lived closer, we would be regulars ❤️

Fun lively atmosphere while also cozy at the same time. Lots of seating and friendly staff. The food was delicious too (except for the sweet potato burger that was just a mushy disc). Will def go again.

My first time visiting this restaurant! I was there with 5 women, 4 of us ordered the exact same meal! 3 of the four meals came out. The forth (mine came thirty minutes later! Our server was good she kept apologizing! Said she entered order incorrectly! That because of excessive delay! I would not have to pay for the meal that arrived 30 mins after my friends had been served! When the bill was served it had all Charges for 5 meals … our server went to the female manager! She very rudely told us the late meal we would have to pay for ! I don’t expect anything for free but manager rudeness was unexceptionable! We will never return to emery Garden

Plants abound in this cozy, welcoming rustic restaurant with mismatched wooden chairs and antique-y framed pictures lined above the bar and scattered along the walls. Good, varied menu reasonably priced. Got the Chicken Teriyaki which is a dupe from Albany's long defunct Quintessence Restaurant which was very good! I know they usually do a German night on Wednesday's.

I celebrated my 25th birthday here with my twin sister and group of about 10 friends and we had a blast! I had never been before but loved the atmosphere and rustic decor. It was hard to decide what drink to order because all the speciality cocktails looked good but I went with a blood orange margarita and enjoyed it very much. The drinks were a little on the pricier side, but you get what you pay for. The service was amazing and they gave me and my sister complimentary birthday shots which was very nice of them. We ordered some appetizers, including the pretzel bites and fries and they were very tasty and shareable portions. It is also in a very central location in Troy, so a perfect place to start off the night before hitting up other bars. I will definitely be back!

Cute location near downtown Troy. We came on a Saturday around 5-6 pm and there was plenty of seating both indoors and outdoor on the patio. The regular drinks are priced a little high, and the non-alcoholic drinks are overpriced for what you are getting. Worth it for a couple of drinks but wouldn’t come back here regularly as the menu only seems to shift with each season rather than on a more regular cadence. Tables outside for two people are spaced too close to each other, not allowing for much privacy. The couch to the far left end of the patio does not have a back to it which can get exhausting to sit at for a long time. Be careful when ordering food to your table, as we’ve overheard multiple people over multiple visits having their orders never go through or show up in the system. Always double check that the kitchen has received your order - seems like something the restaurant should look into fixing. Ordering drinks at the bar is okay but it takes away from the calm vibes of the place, or at least what it’s trying to be. If this was the old cash bar Beer Garden that would make sense, but would love it if drinks were also able to be placed via waiter or through some other means. Overall, good to go once or twice but doesn’t offer a whole lot of enticement for repeat customers.

Just came home from our dinner at Emry’s after work. First time eating here and here’s our first impression. I thought the garden ambiance was lovely. The covered outdoor seating was packed but was seated quickly. The cocktail and beer selection looked plenty. We ordered a variety of dishes and unfortunately we found it mediocre. The watermelon salad was refreshing. The crab cakes were bland, soggy and uninspired. Salmon entree was overpowered w/ the tomato sauce. My partner found the flavours poorly balanced w/ the sauce. The chicken sandwich was good especially for someone who barely eats sandwiches. The sweet potato fries I picked for side was luke warm and soggy. I almost asked for extra crispy to begin with. The service, however, was great. I believe our servers name was Amanda and she was attentive, efficient and pleasant.

This was our first time at Emry's Garden, although we were here when it was the Troy Beer Garden. It does have a garden look. The bar area, with the stools, reminds me of a Tiki bar. My wife had a glass of wine and I had a beer. As usual, I wish they had a short beer. We had the pretzel bites appetizer. Tasty but a bit too greasy. We did not have an entree as it was early and I had 2 places to visit. So I may be selling the food short. It was a pleasant day to be in Downtown Troy, N.Y.
