Commonwealth Turlock Reviews
I almost don't want to do a review because I don't want everyone running over and driving the prices up! My daughter, her best friend and I found this place and it was amazing! Food was absolutely amazing. Staff was absolutely wonderful. We had Mimosa flights delicious! And the prices are so affordable. Thank you for that cuz it's hard to go out to eat anymore with everything going up! We have definitely found our new spot, and will be coming back here all the time! We had a variety of food and everything hit! We had tray of tacos. We had the Napa nachos. We had the Reuben sandwich. Delicious! Chicken pesto sandwich delicious and a buffalo chicken sandwich. Also amazing! The ranch dressing. Wow! Homemade delicious!
We had a really good time at Commonwealth. The sour beer was really good but the cider beer was excellent. Breakfast was good however the real gem here is the cider beers. Definitely recommend as part of the Turlock pub crawl. Food was just a little above average but the service and beer is excellent. Come here for the sours beers and the cider beers.
We have never been here before but we will definitely be back. Our meals were great, the atmosphere was perfect and the beer on tap was most enjoyable!!
Great service, great vibes, and great food! Highly recommended! I will definitely eat there again!

Great service. Good beer selection. Good vibe. Location in downtown Turlock is cute. Looks like it would be a good place for a date. Looking forward to coming back.
The food is so delicious. I had the cobb salad with the homemade ranch and my sister had the chicken BLT sandwich and garlic fries. The chicken is super juicy and tender and flavorful. We are super satisfied.
Really great burgers and fries! Get the bacon and blue if you want a savory burger. It was rather busy when we arrived on Sunday after church. But we were able to get a table after a short wait. Lots of folks watching football at the bar. Recommend!

The chicken Cesar salad was delicious!! It filled me up surprisingly. My husband got a burger and fries and he said it was good. The ONLY thing I will rate bad is.. the flies. We sat indoors and right when we received our food, we got swarmed. We couldn’t enjoy our food fully because we were swatting away about 5 flies the entire time. It was so annoying. But other than the flies, the food and my mango peach lemonade was delicious.
Great food, mild selection of beers. I was able to substitute bread with lettuce wrap I appreciate that option but not happy it costs 3$ to sub fries with a salad. Very friendly staff nice place
Great selection of beers and tantalizing burger combinations.
Went to Commonwealth for the first time last week. I gave them four stars because: - Price: reasonable pricing for entrées and appetizers. I actually thought it would be more expensive since it’s downtown. - Location and Parking: Parking downtown can be a pain but it’s not awful. We parked around the corner and walked to the restaurant. - Dine-In Ordering: they don’t have waiters so you have to order at the front, with the take out orderers and alcohol orderers. Kind of a pain. - Time to get order: it took an hour to get our food. They were busy but it seems they don’t have enough cooks or the kitchen isn’t big enough for a full restaurant. - Staff: polite and helpful. A waiter/ress or two may help speed up service. - Food: the potato nachos were amazing. The M80 sandwich was good too. Tacos were somewhat plain. Garlic fries had a bit too much garlic and too concentrated (not spread enough over the fries). Overall it was a good experience and we plan to go back.
One of my favorite new spots in Turlock. Great atmosphere, good food, and an awesome beer selection.

One of my favorite new spots in Turlock. Great atmosphere, good food, and an awesome beer selection.
Food is good but the beer selection is the reason to come here! So many good beers on tap. You go up and order beer rather than being serves at your table (only reason I rated 3 on service because not really much to rate) and the downtown atmosphere brings its own charm for downtown Turlock. Great place to grab great beers. They fill growlers too!
This location has both indoor and outdoor dining. It is particularly more accommodating for smaller groups of 4-6 people. I would consider this to be a fast casual dining, meaning you place your order and they bring it to you. Any refills are on your own accord to ask at the counter. Their food is generally good - I like their salads, m80 sandwich, and buffalo chicken. I’m really disappointed with their recent service as I ordered to go and they made my chicken sandwich grilled, which the app specified, it was fried. I can forgive these oversights, however, the customer service rep was extremely rude and short with me. Overall, I would not return to this restaurant as their customer service experience is seriously lacking and disappointing.
It was a nice atmosphere, we sat outside. Ordered burger, good but very greasy, dripping from burger ( u can see in pic) I had club sandwich, it was average. But loved the bacon was crispy and bun toasted. Fries were yummy and salad good. Staff were ok.
Sat at the bar with a few friends. The chicken tacos were great! The fries not so much, bland and hard. My friend loved the pulled pork sandwich and would recommend it! The hamburger was too pink and inedible. Enjoyed the beer choices and friendly staff with a good atmosphere. Won't be back but would recommended checking it out at least once!
Loved the cider selections here. Wish the food was as good as it looked, I was very disappointed. We got the Buffalo nachos and cauliflower bites.

Horrible customer service from the lady behind the bar area. If you are looking for an easy lawsuit because you have a food allergy, go see her because she will insure that you have a valid case against this place. After we ordered our food and drinks, she continued to slam beer after beer behind the counter and play on her phone. Before food came, they came to tell my girlfriend that they didn’t have cheddar cheese and so they put American on it. Food came, burger and fries cold even though burger was burnt up. No napkins at the table, or anywhere for that matter. A few tables down received their cheddar cheese skirt burger after we received our food, guess they got cheddar after all. The beer was the only saving grace to this visit on a St. Patty’s Day weekend. Save your money on this establishment as Turlock has far better service and food to offer.
I think these reviews are just fun at this point because I’ve noticed the management has not responded to any of these reviews which is probably an indication that this place will meet at shelf life pretty soon. Reading all the other reviews I don’t feel bad about giving two stars. This place was dismal. Actually, the Cobb salad was really good, but don’t get the cauliflower and make sure your chicken sandwiches are cooked thoroughly. The cauliflower are overly sauced and it just taste like smoked. Nothing, it’s like having Covid again with no taste buds. We had to return one chicken sandwich because the chicken was rubber, I have to check on my cousin, I hope he’s OK. Poor guy had to wait 15 minutes to have the chicken sandwich re-made. I think they probably only had one cook. Out of the four of us, three people got sandwiches and my salad came out really late and last, that makes zero sense to me. The cauliflower bites also came out with the dinner meals, which also made no sense and I think also wrong sauces. Let’s keep talking about the cauliflower. It should’ve been crunchy with a better proportion of sauce. It was mushy, bland and very disappointing. I mean, it’s cauliflower, I’m not expecting the heavens to open up in my mouth. But I would think, honey and Sriracha would make cauliflower great again. I’m really upset about the cauliflower. One last thing about the cauliflower, it came out cold, which made me feel like it was sitting there for a long time so maybe the service is lower than two stars. The workers were nice though. But one girl chimed in about sauces after we fully ordered and interjected when we were asking for water. Everything was off today. Especially the cauliflower. There was a girl that was streaming sitting on the table across from us, that was enjoyable. I was happy for her. She was doing her own thing, but it was fun watching everybody watch her and make jokes.
The food was pretty disappointing, considering how good it sounded on the menu. Pickle fries were chewy, potato fries tasted old, and the spicy bbq sauce on the cauliflower was soulless, like it was missing umami or msg. I like the idea of potato chip nachos but many of the chips tasted like ash and the toppings were sparse. Service was nonexistent to slow but the guy who finally appeared to take our order did pour us a couple drink tasters with only a small amount of attitude. The heat lamps on the outdoor patio worked great and the karaoke looked fun so I added another star for atmosphere

Come here if you want to be told by their staff that you’re wearing a stupid hat and told that there’s an extra 10% charge on your check for wearing a stupid hat (the opposing team to the employee’s/managers nfl team I presume). Being told you’re wearing a stupid hat on top of the poor service was the icing on the cake. Will not be back. Oh and constantly trying to get get rid of flies while we were eating was the best part 🪰🪰🪰. I will be filling a complaint with the Stanislaus County Health Department for the flies.
