Bobaloompia Tyler Reviews
First time here. I had the frozen matcha with honey boba and apple pop. Yummmmmy. I definitely recommend.
OMG! I am from the DC Metro area visiting my sis-in-law and did not expect legit Filipino food in Tyler, no less a mall. But wow! I ordered the crispy pata (pork hock) and it was crunchy outside and juicy inside without being overpoweringly greasy. Such fair price too! Too bad I'm leaving today or I would have tried every dish on the menu. Mabuhay, Boobalumpia! Thank you for giving me comfort through the food of my childhood.
As a Chicago transplant I am constantly missing the comfort foods available to me when it comes to a variety. This last week I was craving Lumpia… being that I have lived in china town and work in a Filipino restaurant I had just a mouth watering taste for it in my mouth from memory So I did indeed try out the Boba Lumpia and I have to say I was expecting sheer disappointment Much to my surprise I was greeted with the familiar crunch of the fried wonton wrap and the moistness of the meat mix inside …. Defiantly a 8/10 would recommend P.S. get a double side of the Garlic 🧄 🧈 butter rice 🍚 I am going to be making it at home now that I found the recipe 😍
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If I could give Boba Loompia six stars, I would—one for each of the layers in their glorious halo-halo. This place isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a culinary wonderland where Filipino classics meet modern magic. The lumpia? Crispier than the plot twists in a telenovela, and twice as satisfying. But the real showstopper? Their halo-halo, which is less a dessert and more a treasure chest of joy, topped with ube ice cream that could make even the sun jealous. Imagine diving into a glass filled with shaved ice, sweet beans, jellies, and fruits, only to find each spoonful more delightful than the last. It’s like they’ve captured the essence of summer and served it in a bowl. I’m convinced that the secret ingredient is happiness, because every bite had me grinning like I’d just won the lotto. And let’s talk about the service. The staff at Boba Loompia make you feel like you’re eating at your favorite aunt’s house—if your aunt also happened to be a culinary genius with a flair for flavor. They’re warm, friendly, and have the kind of enthusiasm that makes you feel like you’re part of something special. So if you’re looking for a meal that’s equal parts comfort and celebration, do yourself a favor and head to Boba Loompia. Just be warned: once you’ve tried their halo-halo, plain old ice cream is going to feel like an amateur hour. Trust me, your taste buds will be sending you thank-you notes for weeks!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE! Been going here since they were over on University befire they moved to their new location. Best Boba Tea in the area! I also tried a siopao (steamed bun). It was phenomenal! So delicious and fluffy! I will always recommend this place as a must try! Thank you guys for being awesome and always being so friendly every single time I have been to your place.
This place is to die for. The owners are so kind and personable. My fiancee grew up with a Phillipino family so he really enjoyed getting to talk with the owners and share his love of the culture and food. The prices are great, the portions are huge, the flavor is on point, and it's such a refreshing experience to have in Tyler. I highly recommend the beef Lumpia and the Boba tea if you're easing into the food and don't know if you like it or aren't super adventurous.
Acceptable but not good. The Hokkaido tea was watery imo but the flavor is still there. The popcorn chicken was your regular unseasoned bits of deep fried chicken and not the basil/taiwanese popcorn chicken I’ve come to expect from boba places or something similar at least. Kind of a let down in that sense
Sadly disappointed with whoever was preparing food on 9/9/25 around 11am. The Turron (normally one of my favorites) had VERY little chocolate drizzle, and only 1 of the 4 had a small/noticeable amount of powdered sugar. Not sure why this batch was so sparse compared to previous visits when this dessert was consistently delicious. Hopefully the cook was just having a bad day and only taking it out on my order and not everybody else's for the rest of the day.
We ordered well before 7PM and they already had tables put up for the night...they would not let us sit to eat with over an hour until they closed. More concerned with wiping the table off again than customer service. After we took our food home, we found they gave us OLD rice....my wife is Filipina, so I know fresh rice from old rice. The chicken skewers were cold and tough, and the Lumpia was chewy, not crispy. It seems obvious the crew tonight was more concerned about going home than giving good food or service.
Service was great. Lots of tables and chairs available and has a play area next to it in case you have kids who wants to go play while you enjoy your food. I was really just curious to try the halo-halo here. But it didn’t deliver. It’s loaded with beans, shaved ice and topped with delicious leche flan and ube ice cream. I’ve never had a halo-halo that had mainly beans as ingredients so this version threw me off.
I ordered the lechon kawali plate with garlic rice, 2 pork lumpias, and passion fruit tea with boba on 9/12/21. The meat was HORRIBLE. It was so overcooked, dry, and soaked up with oil. I’m from Hawaii and this dish I’m sorry would’ve been very frowned open upon. I ate the rice, lumpia, and drank the tea which both were good. This was a waste of money. Never ordering this dish ever again. 😡😡😡
