Joe Coffee Union Square West Reviews
Not to be dramatic but the banana bread latte with almond milk (asked for less sweetness) was absolutely life changing. Great music (bad bunny) and nice baristas! Really close to union square holiday market :)
The best almond latte in the Union Sq neighborhood. After checking out different coffee spots in the area, Joe Coffee got me! Great prompt and friendly service, cool space with a nice vibe, and the best creamy and luscious almond latte! Joe Coffee Union Sq is my daily stop for my coffee buzz.
The girls that work at night time are the kindest and sweetest people ever, they remake my drink and they did it without hesitation and I really appreciated the way that they treat you so 10 stars ⭐️!
Solid, well organized cafe next to Union square (west side) No nonsense menu, prompt service. A bunch of seats inside which is almost a luxury in NYC Curios how the chase bank is part of the same environment… This would be a 4.5 star review but: the macchiato was actually top notch stuff + the barista took her time to explain the difference with a cortado. Good job!
Cute stop and go coffee shop next to the park. A bit on the pricey side but has all the standard drinks and combinations you can think of. Decent room to sit down and kind wait staff.
Gotta love this coffee. Their oat milk is bomb with coffee. Love it. Fresh. Good service too. Bakery items are often super yummy too
Good masala chai

How cool for a coffee shop to share doors and even tables with a Chase ATM and banking kiosk area? I don't know what else Chase offers there but it's weird and cool. Cold brew (small) was about $5, delicious and filled to the brim of the to-go cup. All the usual offerings if a small coffee shop. I will go back again.
Great staff. Bean scones are yummy
I love this coffee shop. Just extremely overpriced!
Five stars to the amazing staff. Best matcha in the area. Great croissants and peanut snacks. Love being there every day for work. Sweet and kind baristas. I have some social anxiety and they are so patient and so positive to be around. They deserve all the respect when it gets busy. Hi from the Holiday Market. :)

Daring establishment next to Union Square Starbucks. It shares the location with Chase Bank. The place is small, but simple and streamlined. I got my latte really fast with compromising the quality. Staff can be a little friendlier. It is not that busy comparing to the SBUX nextdoor.
good consistent coffee served HOT. steps from Union Square when you need a beverage while people watching and catching a breath. a clean well lit space with decent amount of seating when it is rainy. and friendly efficient service. coffee shop simplicity is an understated need in NYC.
Good coffee, great service even in the middle of a snowstorm. Weirdly attached to a Chase bank and the google location seems to be off a little. Nice staff, would come back.
Ok coffee, ok prices, ok staff. A solid option for a coffee around Union Square. There are a few places to sit inside and the regular variety of coffee drinks you would expect.
Regular coffee place with an average coffee. Very small and nothing unique about it. Drip coffee was ok. Not a special place but it also does it job.

Good OK coffee. Pricey. Staff is impatient and have absolutely no clue how to respond to new customers. Hey, not everyone can see where the Milk/Sugar self-serve station is HIDDEN BEHIND the book shelf! DUH.

I just think their drinks are ok, the baked goods are probably good, but everything is overpriced for what you get in my opinion. The Nutella banana bread is good, but I got a breakfast taco there and it was not that good and expensive. Maybe that's my bad for ordering that late in the day like it had been sitting around, but they shouldn't sell it if it's going to be worse later, idk.
Hello neighbor! This review is about sustainability only. 🙂 We are currently in a plastic waste crisis. By 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish. Over 95% of plastics that we create do not get recycled, and instead break down into microplastics that we consume. I appreciate that your coffee shop has real mugs available to customers. But it seems like no one in the shop knows about them. I wonder how you may be able to better communicate you’re offering a reusable mugs. Maybe that means putting up a sign, encouraging that customers ask for them, or having your barista’s explicitly ask customers if they are dining in or working from the shop. It is a shame to see so many Joe Coffee cups in the trashcan here. A clear indicator that people are staying to drink your coffee, but not utilizing the dishware that would make it more sustainable. Thank you for considering my note, and helping New Yorkers make better choices on behalf of our local and global ecosystems. Love your coffee, love your service, and would really love a bit more communications to encourage greener behavior.
Worst instant matcha ~ barely green and completely tasteless! Do NOT COME HERE FOR MATCHA😖 $8 rip off

During my visit, I found the service dismissive and unwelcoming. The barista’s attitude gave the impression that I was inconveniencing them, which left a negative impression. Maybe they didn’t like I asked for a ceramic mug? I don’t know. I believe a more attentive and respectful approach would go a long way in creating a better experience for the customers. I hope this feedback will help ensure a more positive atmosphere moving forward. Best regards,
