It’s been several years since I’ve been diving and I was feeling pretty nervous, but she made me feel really prepared and confident to go diving again. I highly recommend her as an instructor and this scuba shop seems like a great place to continue learning!

Great office staff and great instruction. We did our pool sessions with Hannah, she was great! Very clear in her instructions and had great patience and ways of explaining things. Come prepared for some long evenings in the pool if you do the sessions after work! Would definitely recommend Underwater Safaris!

100/10 highly recommend this family owned shop! I enrolled in and completed my open water dive certification through Underwater Safaris. John helped me pick out the basic gear I needed, walked me through the different packages and gave me some great tips to help prepare me. Stacy was our instructor for the in-pool portion; she’s very knowledgeable and made the experience fun. I usually like to shop online, but my experience with her and the trust I felt encouraged me to purchase some additional gear from the shop. I wasn’t disappointed. They have great deals and won’t push you to get things you don’t need. You can also have your gear serviced/tested there. For our dives at Haigh Quarry, Stacy, Ashton and Frank were our instructors. They all have a lot of experience and I felt safe and supported with them even when I had some mishaps. This was a great way to meet other divers and start building/involving myself with the dive community.

Did all of my training for my open water certification at Underwater Safaris and it went off without a hitch. I had my pool classes with Travis and open water dives with Travis and Phil. The instruction was great, very thorough, efficient but not rushed. Everyone at the shop is also cool, accommodating, and patient with any questions. As someone that buys everything online, I highly recommend buying your gear from the shop, the shopping experience is not pushy or salesman-y at all.

Hannah and Lotte were extremely knowledgeable and patient during the pool dives. They made training fun and had great practical real-world advice. I recently completed a Reactivate course with Underwater Safaris, which included eLearning and confined pool dives. Everything from the upfront information to the pool work was phenomenal. The dive shop personnel provided great communication and were friendly and welcoming upon arrival. The confined water dives were the perfect refresher after not having dived in several years. Instructors Hannah and Lotte were phenomenal at explaining and demonstrating skills and overall created a very low-pressure, friendly environment. Because of them, I'm excited to get back into diving and look forward to more visits to the shop.

I recently completed my scuba certification with Underwater Safaris, and I can't say enough good things about my experience. The entire team was incredibly kind, friendly, and patient, making the journey enjoyable from start to finish. What impressed me the most was the exceptional support I received during my open water dives, which took place seven months after the pool classes. It was a challenge for me to recall all the skills I learned in the first class, but I was fortunate to have Ashton, Cathy, and Parker as my instructors for the open water dives. These three professionals were not only incredibly kind and friendly, but also extremely patient. They willingly assisted me whenever I needed to redo certain skills I felt unsure about, ensuring that I gained confidence and proficiency. Initially, I had reservations about taking the class alone. However, meeting the instructors and the other students quickly dispelled my concerns. The inclusive and welcoming atmosphere created by the Underwater Safaris team made the experience highly enjoyable. By the end of the class, I felt confident diving with a buddy, thanks to the guidance and support provided by the instructors. I cannot thank Ashton, Cathy, Parker, and the entire team at Underwater Safaris enough for their outstanding dedication and professionalism. They not only taught me valuable scuba diving skills but also instilled in me a deep passion for the sport.

Def recommend this small family run business! This place was amazing! They made us feel right at home before and during our classes! We tried to go to another place that was a non for profit, and the time line was too long and it cost more money! Underwater Safaris was able to get us in within days and was a lot less expensive. They have a great indoor pool attached with a small class size. My bestie and I were the only ones in the class. Ultimately, Alex the instructor was badass! Thank you so much guys!

Very friendly and knowledgeable. Great family business. Bought all my equipment and had it serviced here. If ever there was an 'ooopsie' with anything, they've addressed it right away. Definitely recommend when you're ready to go into the water! (Pic is from one of our cert locations)

We did our pool work for scuba cert here. The instructor was fantastic, incredibly patient and worked well with a group that ranged from 12 to 60. However, the store manager was another story. We showed up with smaller fins, completely appropriate for a tiny pool. He refused to let us take the course until we dropped hundreds on fins and boots that met his arbitrary standards. He was so rude I wondered if I was being pranked. Incredibly disappointing, condescending and completely ruined our experience. If not for the instructor, I doubt we would have continued diving. The large fins were annoying with a large group in a small pool and he delayed the start of our class. This happened two years ago so I’m not sure if he’s still there. I emailed the owner right after but never heard back. We’ve gone on to dive many times all over the world and I’m glad we didn’t let one jerk ruin our experience.
