Town House Restaurant Uvalde Reviews
Fast and friendly service, the best chicken fried steak in town.
Traveling from out of town and wanted somewhere to sit down and enjoy a meal. Town House checked every box. Service exceptional! Food hit the spot! Polly was the sweetest and every person we came in contact with was genuinely happy to provide service to us. We will definitely stop here again on our future travels.
Had not been in there in a very long time. The place is nicely renovated and the food was really good. Prices are great as well
Food was great, had veggies with my plate, they were cooked perfectly! Waiter was attentive to our needs. We'll be back.
Our church youth group had the pleasure of eating at this wonderful establishment. There was a total of 65 of us in our party and the staff went over and beyond to make our visit pleasurable with great attentive service, kindness and good food. The cook staff even came out and sat with us making sure that all our orders were complete and satisfying. Thank you so much for such great service and I highly recommend establishment.
Ordered the Chicos Chicken Fried Steak. Good meal.😊
Food and service were quite decent. Pricing seems a bit high for the quality. Appears we were double charged an 18% tip as well. Prices already too high for me to consider returning, let alone having a 36% tip tacked onto it. Be mindful when checking out here, I didn't expect a tip to be autocalculated in when it asks at the machine to indicate tip.
Sunday steaks were like unseasoned strips of leather. Monday breakfast would have been better if we didn't have to buy our own bread for toast because they were out
The place still has covid protocols threw out the restaurant the fried onions were just onion rings meh 😐 the liver and onions was tough and they put molea Sauce 🤮 on it my son's steak fajitas were way overcooked and gray so won't be back
Still had the Covid crap up.the fried Onion was just regular Onion rings. The Liver and onions was over cooked and they topped it with Mexican mole sauce 🤮 yuck .the steak fajitas meat was gray not tasty.
Derby deluxe has lost its taste.old avacado.no flavor guiso, rice and pecante pureed to a fine catsup.has taste no body.was lot better in priovios years.needs to go back thier original recipes and preparations
My plate was inedible. The crispy taco was ground beef with zero seasoning. It was actually the best item on the plate. Enchilada had about a cup of salt in it. Canned enchilada sauce and a chemical aftertaste. Cheese was not right. Something was off in it. Beans were hard and crusty. Rice tasted like microwave rice a roni. Weirdly enough the guacamole had no salt or garlic in it. Tasted sweet. Will not go again.
On 6/25 me and three other friends visited this place. Colton, our waiter, asked one of my friends if he wanted fries with his meal. Our friend told him “No not if they’re extra”. Colton assured us that he was pretty sure they came with the meal. Our friend then showed him on the menu where it says “Add steak cut fries, homestyle potato chips or onion rings for just 2.99.” Colton then assured us AGAIN that he was pretty sure they were included with our meal. When he got to me he asked “Fries, chips, or onion rings” I told him these EXACT words, “Onion rings, but if they don’t come with the meal then I don’t want them”. When it came to checking out lo and behold we were charged for two fries, an onion ring, and a chip. An extra $11.56 on sides we were ASSURED AND TOLD multiple times came with the meal and wouldn’t cost extra. I talked to the manager about it and he showed me on the menu where it says they cost extra. I understood that it says it on the menu, but when you have a waiter ASSURING US MULTIPLE TIMES that they came with the meal and wouldn’t cost extra, you would lean towards trusting the waiter. This place was a sad and unfortunate let down. Aside from the overcharging, I’ve had cardboard that tastes better than some of their items. The onion rings were absolutely flavorless, stale, rings of disappointment. It is a very sad and unfortunate thing that we had to experience this place and not some of the other options in town.
