Dr Kappel takes all patients and their eye care seriously. I have seen him several times w different symptoms and worries and he is reassuring and he knows what he is doing. If he has to do research prior to the next step, that is exactly what he does telling the patient what he is doing as he does the next step. He is patient abd kind and always does his best for each patient whether he is working w a child or a geriatric patient like me. There is no better practicing ophthalmologist.

Dr. Battenburg performed my anterior hip replacement surgery December 17, 2025 I was in excruciating pain. Dr. Battenberg was able to relieve my pain by his professional surgery done for me. Dr. Battenberg is the best surgeon that I’ve had in my whole life. He’s very detailed in his Anterior total hip surgery. I highly recommend Dr. Battenberg. I never felt hurried. I have emailed him and he always answers thoroughly and promptly. I have a lot of respect for him as a doctor and as a caring human being. I trust him with my eyesight so that tells you a lot about him. He has a friendly manner and is patient and I have recommended my sister to see if he can help her with her eyesight.

I had a very pleasant experience with radiology in Vacaville. The nurse was very kind explained everything. She kept coming back in the waiting room and letting me know when my time would be. She didn't just leave me out there. Then the doctor came in and explained what would be happening during the CT scan. Very professional with a great bedside manner

I recently had a knee replacement and all the pre op and post op staff were friendly, cordial and always with a smile. But I have to give a special thanks to Michelle in pre op. She gave me a painless IV and we had interesting and calming conversation. A true 5 star professional. The other 5 star professional I encountered was Yvonne in post op. A very friendly, caring professional. She gave me important information, along with casual, friendly conversation. I couldn’t be more satisfied with my surgery experience at Kaiser Vacaville.

Dr. Pierson in the Adult & Family Medicine Department was very kind and friendly during the visit. She listened to my concerns and let me know what my options were after doing an exam. She helped me by ordering a medication refill and was more than happy to send the order to a pharmacy closer to my home. She also informed me that an X-ray order she put in could be done anywhere and also shared the hours for the Radiology department onsite. I was very happy with my experience with Dr. Pierson and would definitely come back to see her again.

Dr. Meloni is the best eye doctor I've ever had. I need retinal injections every 8 weeks. She explains thoroughly the status of my retinas, the options for treatment, what I can expect, and any new treatments or medications that may be available. I was assaulted by one of the ophthalmologists in 2019 during a retinal injection (I reported to the State, reported it to Kaiser, and nothing was done. That guy is still employed in the same department at Kaiser). I had panic attacks afterwards every time I needed an injection. Dr. Meloni has been kind, patient, gentle, and reassuring each time I see her. I no longer have panic attacks and can get through my injections with no anxiety. She is a treasure and deserves a raise.

Dr. Kornsand removed/take away my fear of Doctors, medical procedures and those medical instruments he used in my ear. Loved it. 6/27/25 Friday kaiser in Vacaville also should put solar panels in parking lots just like Union city & Hayward. 6/16/25 Monday my wife has blood test n pharmacy pick up noticed nice plants n bench but no shade Kaiser should put more big trees or Gazebo will look more beautiful. 12/9/24 Monday very good location. The best hospital in the nation. Hope they open more n more kaiser hospitals n clinics in other states as well.

Doctor Pabla and his staff were very polite and professional. He was very patient and took the time to answer my questions and explain things to me and made me feel comfortable. I also really like the self service blood pressure kiosk as a really convenient way to keep track of my blood pressure.

Primary Care 1st Floor, Suite A18. I arrived for my appointment and checked in at the front desk, but unfortunately my interaction with the receptionist was disappointing. Her demeanor came across as unprofessional and noticeably annoyed. After checking me in, she directed me where to sit, but did not offer a receipt. When I asked for one before walking away, she rolled her eyes as if I was asking for something unreasonable. She did print it, but the interaction felt unnecessarily unpleasant and dismissive. On a positive note, my experience with the medical assistant and Dr. Trung Lap Nguyen was the complete opposite. The medical assistant was kind, welcoming, and professional. Dr. Nguyen took his time answering all of my questions and thoroughly reviewing my records, which I truly appreciated. Overall, while the clinical care was excellent, the customer service at the front desk left much to be desired.

ER is a joke. Staff are friendly but the service and wait times are terrible. Came in yesterday waited 5 hours. No rooms available and the Doctor actually told me to use the bathroom to take my pants off and wrap a gown around me and sit in the hallway. Had to return today due to symptoms progressing and have waited 4 hours and still have not been seen. Lady came out earlier to let us know wait times are 8 hours or so due to not enough beds. I guess I have to be in cardiac arrest before I receive any care. For the amount you have to pay in insurance premiums, as well as copay they should have enough staff and enough beds. Definitely looking to switch my provider when the time comes.
