Incredible pizza! The grandma pizza starts off with a slight crunch, then feels like biting into a fluffy cloud full of flavor. The marinara sauce was the best sauce I've ever tasted. Once in a while you'll find a nice big chunk of tomato, or onion. I'm usually not a fan of big chunks of tomatoes, but this is an exception to the rule. They show up as pleasant little surprises packed with flavor. I'd honestly be happy eating it with just bread sticks or garlic knots, and it would still beat the food at most pizzerias. We took the rest of the pizza home and reheated it in the oven, believe it or not, it was still better than most freshly made pizzas I've had. This NY pizzeria definitely lives up to its name.

I’ve been coming here for 30 years and wanted to give the new owner a try, I was not disappointed. The pizza was delicious and tasted the same, if not better, than I remembered, also tried a square slice which was very good too. I also had a chicken Caesar roll, which was excellent. I met the owner as well, and he was very friendly and accommodating. I’ll definitely be coming back soon.

Been going there since a kid.. moved away and still drive there now as an adult . Fmfood is amazing , service is amazing ..I literally just walked in a got a free slice while I was wiring in my order hit and fresh out the over soon as I walked in . i’ve been going to this pizzaria for all my life, ever since i was a little girl! they’re amazing service and delicious pizza has never changed since :)! the people there are so kind and considerate! they truly do love their work and it shows in the pizza and the atmosphere! their pizza has a nice crisy yet chewy crust and perfectly cooked cheese and yummy sauce!

Ancona isn’t serving wood-fired fig-and-burrata nonsense. This is the kind of slice that makes you remember why New York pizza became legendary in the first place. Crisp crust, just the right sauce, cheese that hits the mark. No gimmicks, no fluff, just perfectly executed classics. It’s a corner joint, sure, but the kind that reminds you the corner is where the magic happens. Ancona belongs in the pantheon of neighborhood pizzerias that actually live up to the hype. Blue chip slice. No notes.
