I'm writing this review because there is literally 2 competing pizza restaurants right next to each other on the same street so why not review them both on quick slices of pizza. So there's Mike's Pizza vs Pizzeria L'Angolo for the best slice of PLAIN pizza. My take? If u have a good plain slice then the toppings would just be a major bonus. Usually when u have a lot of quanity u lose quality. Not at L'Angolos. L'Angolos slices are bigger. They are cheaper. The sauce is better. The cheese is better. They do have an equal crunch. Yet the crust is better at L'Angolos as well. You can taste the oven more at Mikes. If Im hungry....I'm going to L'Angolos for sure. I'll post pics of both slices and the prices I paid for them. The one on the Left is Mike's which looks more desirable to me because it says...there's pizza sauce under the cheese for sure. The picture to the right is L'Angolos who doesn't show much sauce but actually has more. Here's to both restaurants, DONT BE STINGY on the sauce. Mike's needs to add a lot more and a better quality and L'Angolos...just needs a little more for me. Why? Because it tastes so good

Karissa the BEST employee on site, is patient, pays attention to detail, & actually cares about every customer that was in the building. I was customer number 5 after waiting in line with multiple door dash orders happening simultaneously. This girl should get a raise @Management

Gotta give it up to the staff here. The pizza is consistently amazing Popped in at midnight last night and the place was mobbed but they know how to take care of business. Appreciate youse!

Our Friday night pizza place for over 3 years now. Consistently fantastic. Always interesting toppings by the slice. Great staff. Tonight we got delivery for the first time. Excellent service and arrive hot.

Best pizza in manayunk/east falls. The capricosa and cacciatore pizzas are 10/10. Buffalo Chicken stromboli is also a solid choice.

This is by far one of my favorite pizza spots across the city. The food is amazing. Seriously, there is nothing that I have ordered that wasn’t delicious, from the pizza slices to their amazing sandwiches. This is one to keep going back to, if not for the food the amazing staff.

Always a great pizza and a great experience. We order 6-8 pizzas for parties several times a year and everyone raves about the Sofia, the Colori, the Luca and the fries. Always a great meal

The Ultimate stop in Manayunk. The Cheesesteak is a Top 10 Cheesesteak in Philly. The Pizza is the Ultimate Gourmet Pizza. The Staff is Super Friendly. They have inside & outside dining, both are very clean. The Prices are average but the food is not ! Pro Tip, get the Beet Salad, Out of this World. I can not recommend this Classic, Manayunk Staple enough. Do not miss out on this dining experience.

TLDR; Good food worth the price. Local spot, will be back! Great local pizza spot for good food! Was looking for a quick spot to grab some pizza for a family event and dropped by. Price can be a little steep depending on your outlook but the food is worth it. Been a while since i've had wings that aren't dry and the pizza, good crunch and savory flavor to it with a good size. Grabbed a medium and it was enough for 3 people and baby WITH leftovers.

Greetings from Germany, I recently visited this pizzeria and was truly impressed by the delicious pizzas. The flavors were rich, fresh, and simply unforgettable. The atmosphere was simple and modest, but the incredible taste of the food easily made up for it. Each bite felt authentic and full of passion. I can highly recommend this place to anyone who loves real Italian pizza.

After a long day walking the streets of Rome, this place hit the spot for my family and I. The staff was very friendly and offered their services in Italian, French, and English. They had a variety of pizza options so as to accommodate everyone’s dietary restrictions and preferences. Highly recommend if you need a quick bite !!

These low ratings are bogus. This is easily a top 5 pizza spot in Manayunk. Good slices and take away. Options are plentiful and the crust is really good. Also garlic knots are bomb and the owner is a cool dude.

Tia is one of the most underrated pizza restaurants in Philly! They make excellent pizzas of all types plus the pasta dishes are also delicious! The more I go here, the more I love this place! If you have the time and find good parking I’d suggest that you dine in, this isn’t your average pizza place

Found my hole in the wall! Best pizza I have ever had, and I've had plenty. Had a sausage and cheese slice. Thin, crispy, a perfect blend of spice, and just the right amount of cheese. The waitress and manager were very friendly and accommodated my ask. The price is just right. Will be catering from here going forward.

Best pizza in Philly. For those who are not aware, there was a staple on main st in Manayunk named Bella Trattoria which served rustic authentic Italian pasta and Pizza. The owner of Pizzeria L’Angolo is the former head chef and owner of Bella. This pizza place has all the highest standards. The chef even makes his own sausage for the pizza! The pizza margarita has an intense flavor, the garlic knots are the same as Bella’s and you will not find better calamari anywhere. I know you think this is just another pizza joint and it might look like that from the outside, but if you try this, it will be hard to beat. We drove here from Montgomeryville and it was outstanding. Staff was super friendly. Owner is a great guy. Cares about his food with passion. And it’s super clean. Highly recommend!!

So far this is the best pizza in the area. I really liked the pizza. It reminded me of the pizza I had back in New Jersey. The crust was crispy and the cheese was great. IMO, the crust was lacking a bit, because I like a soft crust. The wings were extremely small and not worth the price. But the fries were amazing! The meal was definitely worth it and I’ll be coming back, but I would not recommend the wings.

Pizza was great! Ready very quickly. Not sure why I was charged 18% for “taxes and fees,” though. Seems rather steep. And ordering through the website automatically adds a tip that you have to manually remove. These fees and forcing a tip is why I didn’t give 5 stars

Stopped by before movie on a Thursday evening. My friend and I both got a slice of pizza, which turned out to be very good. The garlic knot was ok though. The service was fast and friendly. The big bonus is that they have outdoor seating, which is pretty cool for a pizza place.

Pizzeria L’angolo sits on Main Street at the south end of Manayunk and welcomes everyone heading toward downtown. They’ve got counter seating inside and a large outdoor patio. I stopped in mid-afternoon and found parking right on Main Street. (Heads up: the bathroom wasn’t working the day I visited.) I ordered my usual cheesesteak with fried onions. The pizza looked very good, but today was all about the steak. I took it to Wissahickon Brewing in East Falls, where I enjoyed their tangerine sour and had two great interactions with bartenders — both had been to L’angolo, but only for the pizza. The cheesesteak came on a standard roll and tasted like there was a good amount of oil on the grill. On to the next stop as we march toward Cheesesteak Madness. 2026 March Cheesesteak Madness 64 Cheesesteaks • 4 Regions • 2 Champions

I stopped by Pizzeria L'Angolo with moderate expectations and left with mixed feelings. The wings were decent, but nothing to write home about, understandably so. Overall, for what they were I'd purchase them again. However, I was perplexed by the calzone. I'm not sure if it's their standard operating procedure, but mine was incredibly well done - to the point of being kinda burnt. I'm talking crunchy, crispy edges leaving a slight burnt taste to permeate throughout. Maybe I just got a dud, or perhaps that's their signature style? Either way, I'd love some clarification from the team at L'Angolo. Has anyone else had a similar experience with their calzones? I'm disappointed because I've heard nothing but good things!

I love their pizza. I have often said that it is the best in Manayunk hands down. However, after wanting the garlic knots and receiving such a pittance I am firmly determined to never offer my patronage to this establishment again. What a joke. Three knots at you kidding me and the world?!?!

$54 2 pizzas $10.80 tip $5.26 online platform fee $3.50 delivery fee $77.88 total I went out of my way to use the store’s app instead of DoorDash since it hurts restaurants. Guess who they sent to deliver my order? DoorDash. Except not MY DoorDash account with dash pass etc. This order would have cost $72.65 (including all tips etc.) if I had gone through DoorDash. And maybe I would have gotten my order faster than 1:07 for two pizzas. Not impressed.

We went for lunch here on the Manayunk street food festival day. The place was pretty crowded but their pizza sucked! We got 2 slices and garlic knots but the tomato sauce that was used for all the pizzas and the marinara sauce was SO sour that we absolutely didn’t enjoy the pizza. Also the lady who took our order had a very nasty attitude almost as if she was bothered by people ordering the pizzas at their place.
