Trattoria La Cascina Viale Piave Reviews
A pleasant discovery in the city. We had lunch today to celebrate a birthday with friends. The lake fish menu was simply fabulous, a balanced combination of flavors, and the quality of the fish served on hot plates was excellent. Compliments to the very kind chef, Barbara, and all the staff. We will definitely be back.
An excellent restaurant where you can enjoy lake fish and meat dishes, all prepared with skill and imagination, without losing sight of tradition. This informal yet well-maintained restaurant is run by a friendly and welcoming owner who makes you feel at home; good, yet discreet service completes the excellent experience you'll have at this restaurant. Definitely worth returning.
Informal atmosphere, excellent hospitality, which puts you at ease and makes you feel at home. Attentive and friendly staff. We started with an appetizer: pizza with onions and char. We then chose something off the menu: tortelli with whitefish and pike Vicenza-style. Both were delicious, two excellent dishes prepared with skill and love. Delicious homemade desserts and coffee. Excellent place.
A lovely restaurant serving meat and lake fish, using locally sourced ingredients, well-cooked and impeccably presented. Excellent off-menu options, and a good wine list ranging from Franciacorta to the Garda shores. The atmosphere is lovely, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the service is prompt and attentive.
Intrigued by the name, we tried it. In the middle of a less-than-beautiful part of town, they've managed to create an excellent restaurant steeped in authenticity and authenticity. The food is well-made, the host is genuine, the kitchen is open (excellent selection), and the decor is true to the name. The atmosphere was very convivial and welcoming. We had a great time, and without further ado, we think it deserves 5 stars! Well done
The cheerfulness of the old-fashioned innkeeper, the background music, paintings hanging from beads... but above all, spectacular dishes, we're at The food is excellent, the inn is run by husband Riki and wife Baby in the kitchen; a true old-school establishment. There's also an outdoor patio where you can eat al fresco. Their Thursday evening APERITIVO is unmissable.
A discovery thanks to a friend who recommended it to me. I've been there for lunch... But I'd definitely appreciate the location more for dinner. Very friendly staff, excellent variety and selection. Excellent wine selection. Good value for money, in my experience. I'd say we'll definitely return!
Super!!!
We went on the recommendation of acquaintances. The place is easy to find, just a few dozen meters after the Fuksas Tower. The atmosphere is simple and clean, but unfortunately a bit anonymous. The only noteworthy attraction is the wooden sculpture of Winged Victory with a skewer. There's nothing visually reminiscent of the farmhouse. The dishes are well-cooked and equally well-presented. The Gran fritto di Lago is delicious, I must say, with three or four types of lake fish fillet, well-fried and dry, paired with zucchini and squash chips, also phenomenal. We then move on to the whitefish ravioli, beautifully presented and well-seasoned, with a nice piece of whitefish inside. To finish, we move on to the meat-based antipasto, presented on a wooden board that looks like a chariot's crossbow. Well, this was really disappointing. The ingredients were very good, but €15 for six slices of salami, three of cheese, and four of frittata seems a bit excessive. The dining experience was excellent, but I would advise the owner to update the menu on the website, as the price difference on some dishes is huge. Thanks
A truly pleasant new discovery in the city. A beautiful, clean, and welcoming restaurant. A tasty and elaborate menu prepared with excellent raw materials, with an emphasis on Lake Garda fish, without neglecting a wider selection such as the Florentine steak. The tagliolini with black truffle are memorable, and the fried perch fillets are equally good. Highly recommended for dinner, even with an outdoor seating area. The table setting could be improved, now using disposable tablecloths and napkins. The owner who welcomes you into the dining room is very kind. The price is more than fair for the quality. Recommended.
Finally, on Viale Piave, a trattoria worthy of the name, amidst the plethora of identical pizzerias and Chinese restaurants. Lake fish is a must-try, as could be expected in a restaurant that hails straight from Lake Garda. The cuisine isn't pretentious—even when it serves pappardelle with truffle—but instead focuses on local produce. The lake appetizer (whitefish, char, sardines, and trout) is unmissable, as are the daily desserts, an explosion of aromas and flavors. The wine list is good, with unusual offerings from small producers on Lake Garda. Excellent value, as a trattoria should be. A welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff. We'll be back.
