My friend and I visit this Mc Donald's almost daily because I am very fond of their caramel frappe. I actually have them prepare it in a somewhat different way from the usual method, and it is this activity that has given me reason to comment positively on this store. First, all the staff here are terrific. They are friendly and helpful, and work far too hard, especially considering what they are paid. I suppose it never occurs to most customers to tip the staff there, but I think tipping here is absolutely merited. One of the gals, Rosa, is especially wonderful. She has been an employee at this particular store for more than 20 years. She makes every visit there a joyful experience, and I always depart feeling better than when I went in to the restaurant. The managers there are great too, and they treat me like family. I highly recommend the Kanan Rd location. These people know what customer service means and show it by their actions. Here here, in an age when customer service is a forgotten art and simple courtesy has flown on the wind in most places. Considering the fact that I have been a strict vegetarian for over 30 years, it takes a lot to get me to go to a fast food establishment, but in the case of the Kanan Rd Mc Donald's, it is well worth it. Stop here everytime I head north. Clean McD's, always. Same morning manager for forever. Well ran and pleasantly ran convenient and efficient road stop. Ratings based on oatmeal, hashbrowns and iced tea.
Clean restroom, fast service. I used the drive thru and it went smooth, nothing was missing in my bag, unlike several Mcds I've been.
Sometimes this McDonald's is a little bit hard to get to because it's set back from the road. However, the drive-thru can be approached from both sides and it is extremely efficient. McDonald's uses the approach of a separate money take her from a food Giver outer which works very efficiently and my usual driving food of chicken nuggets fries and a Diet Coke work hot nicely made and ready in a minute.
Having experienced this particular McDonald's for the past twenty years, I've come to appreciate it as one of the best in Southern California. The staff is remarkable, food is as expected, consistent in every way everyday. Besides my wife's fantastic cooking, this McDonald's has been a second home for breakfasts, lunches, and dinners over the years for our family. Keep up the good work, we love you!
MacDonalds never disappoints. You know exactly what you're going to get and when served hot it's the best. Using MacD's app is really helpful too. All in all not a bad choice when you're hungry and don't want fancy.

This is a really nice McDonald's. One of the better if not the best McDonald's I've ever been to. Though i only 1 vaule you meal, I could tell it was proficiently managed, super polite and helpful staff, and just a happy atmosphere. If you're looking for a positive quick bite experience, this is the place.
I usually don't rate McDonald's Restaurants, but this one deserves it for not just it's food but you will love the area, the view of the mountains and the freeway. You don't feel like you're at a McDonald's actually. It has really nice atmosphere, employees are awesome. Sit by a window and you'll enjoy your meal even more, you'd probably not going to want to leave. It's always clean too!
Right off the freeway so it is very convenient on/off quick eats. Next to a gas station so you can feed your car. Interior decor is really nice. Staff is bilingual English/Spanish and are nice and quick. The best part is the view of the Agoura Hills. Get a table by the big windows and enjoy your meal with a great vista.
This is the fastest McDonalds drive through I have ever experienced. Your car almost doesn’t stop lol. Aside from some items (large fries) being breathtakingly expensive at this particular location, if you use the app it becomes very reasonable. Polite, fast, efficient service.
Late night drive thru, the lady working there was extremely Polite and Friendly. It's a easy stop as it's super quick to get there and also super quick to get back on to the freeway.
Service here is fast. The access is a little weird how the location is situated on Kanan Road, but that's nothing that McDonald's controls here. The place usually has a couple people in the drive through line, but never so many that it causes a long wait.
This is my favorite return trip from LA spot. I've been to this location several times over the last 7 years and it always reminds me of what McDonald's can be. Food is always among the best.
Very clean, and convienently right off the highway. Clean restrooms for a quick pit stop. The staff was friendly, although I still felt compelled to buy somthing after using the restrooms, I don't think they require it. The ice cream cones are to die for... Haha.
The employees at this location are always so nice and they don't try to rush you through the drive thru. And if anything is ever wrong they are super quick to fix it without any hesitation or make you feel like an inconvenience.
Pro tip: this location uses the self ordering kiosks as of March 2022. We just visited and it was great to "jump ahead" of the line by just ordering by using the kiosk instead of waiting to order. The food was ready in about 5 minutes which was great. It tasted great and was hot. One of the best run McDonald's I've been to.
The gentleman at the register was very friendly & courteous. He also helped me save some cash. I had a 2 for $3 coupon. He didn't take it. He gave me the deal without the coupon. Plus, I got a $3 coffee for $1 because I had a coupon for that, too. Most McDonald's don't let me use 2 coupons on the same visit. Thanks to the honesty of this gentleman, I was able to get 2 deals without using 2 coupons. Service was very quick too. I avoided the long line of cars by going inside and carrying out the food with me. I will definitely visit this McDonald's location again!

I wanted to highlight the service at this location. This morning I made an order on mobile app for a sausage McMuffin, but I made the mistake of ordering their new item the “spicy” sausage McMuffin. I took a bite, and I knew it was incorrect. I went inside to complain, but that’s when I realized I made the mistake and clicked the wrong item on the app. The ladies there were so nice, the manager over heard me when I was talking to the front counter girl, and immediately brought me a sausage McMuffin before I could even thing twice about my mistake. They definitely did not need to do that because it was my mistake, but the remedied my situation, and did it was a smile and class.
Very clean location, the fries were so fresh! Hot and with just the right amount of salt. Love McDonald’s fries.

Honestly one of the best mcdonalds experiences i had, (this may be biased) first mcdonalds i ever had in america, taste wise was so perfect and their portion to price ratio was way better than anything compared to european mcdonalds, the menu was diverse, portions were again perfect, staff were kind and hardworking, thank you
I try not to eat fast food however 2 nights ago I drove over as it was too crazy with the angry x at home. I forgot my wallet. I went to pay and was horrified. The young man at the window told me not to even worry and gave me the food. I so wish I knew his name. I would praise him here and take him a gift. I will try to find out. Of course it was yummy!!
I'm not a big fan of mcdonald's, so I haven't been to McDonald's and probably a decade. I was on a work trip, and the carpool that I was with decided they wanted to stop here. The food was decent. The prices were decent. The staff was decent. The restaurant was very clean, including the restrooms. I would say that this McDonald's is better than your average McDonald's for sure.

Never was a fan of fast food, but this is a great stop to get iced coffee (cheap, plus comes topped with whipped cream and a splash of chocolate syrup) when driving between So Cal and the Central Coast. Easy on and off at Kanan offramp going either direction. Bathrooms are plentiful and clean.
It is what it is... for a fast food breakfast on the run or long drive with kids, it fits the bill. There is nothing to write home about, but this location got our order right, which is the best expectation bar.
Wait was long. I waited 20 minutes for our food, and they never even bothered to call out our number that I was listening for while standing waiting near the front counter. I had to look through the food sitting out on the counter to locate our food. They did have a tracking screen up but our number was never shown on it. Our food was cold as well. It's fast food, I don't expect much. Our cashier was very nice.
I really liked the service at the window & the food Southwest Salad was quite good. The reason for 4 stars is I requested 2 Ranch & instead got 1 vinaigrette. Check the bag before leaving. Otherwise everything good. Even the young man trainee was really trying hard, he is not the person who got the salad w/incorrect dressing.
The mobile app order does not work well lately but you can still order the deal menu items at the counter. Great staff and discounted Big Mac Meal for $6.5 is a very good value nowadays.
This place is pretty nice for a McDonald's. It's nothing spectacular, but it is always clean and the bathrooms are VERY nice. It's easy to get to from the freeway and a little tricky to get back to the freeway, but the lines and drive thru are fast and it's the perfect place to stop on a long road trip.
Used to go here all the time when the coffee deal was 99 cents. That’s all I would eat/drink here for myself because I don’t like fast food, BUT that deal got me buying other food for my kids who LOVE McDonalds (like all kids). Now that they stopped the 99 cent coffee I stopped going here altogether (which is probably healthier for my kids anyway) and I’m back to going to Starbucks for my coffee. Oh well, you lost a customer McDonalds, over the price of coffee. UPDATE: 99 cent coffee came back to my app after I found some McDonalds corporate number somewhere and complained about it disappearing from my app in my location, so adding some stars. Also happens to be a decently clean and nice looking McDonald’s and the staff there are always pleasant. Thank you McDonalds 🙌

I ordered my teen nuggets and cheeseburger with no onions and pickles. It took some time to get our order but I was able to sit and wait so no biggie. It definitely looks like there is a need for more staff because the person taking orders from behind the counter was also delivering it to cars. This restaurant has a very cool vibe in terms of decor and is very clean. Biggest issue is the drive thru. That was my initial plan when I realized there was two separate ways to enter. I saw someone in front of me move thinking there was another line but it was awkward to get to the spot without reversing and it would have been harder for me to do it where I was positioned. I should have stayed put. I decided to park and pick up the food from the restaurant or try there 'Take it to Go'. If you come here, just know that and be patient which ever direction you come from.
This location is always great for a coffee and breakfast sandwich plus it's the perfect place to get out and stretch after a drive north from Orange County. I'm usually there between 4 and 5 AM and it's always clean and feels very safe. The employees are always happy. In spite of the early hours and seem happy to help you. The other thing I like about this location can be seen well before the exit road traveling both north and south on the 101.
I have been coming here weekly for a little over a year (on my way to my job site). The food is good and the staff is very friendly. Especially Lulu, who by now knows my order and always has a smile 😃 and is particularly nice. Being my weekly ritual, I look forward to stopping the early morning as I head to my job site. It brightens my day!

Customer service is not good at the window. I always order sauce when I use the app to order food. It’s literally on the receipt for them to add it to my bag. They never put the sauce in the bag. So when they hand me my food, I open the bag to check and so then I go to ask. And they have already walked away. At this point I’m annoyed, so I wait. For them to come back. They look at me annoyed and I ask for sauce, then with a roll of their eyes they toss me the sauce . However this whole second interaction could have been avoided had they (did their job) and read the receipt and put my WHOLE ORDER in the bag. But no. Here we both are. Annoyed .
They tried to force me to use the kiosk for my order. I said "you're standing right here, next to the register"
I don't think that I've ever gone to this McDonald's and received an order correctly. The last time I went I ordered breakfast and they forgot the utensils and napkins syrup , ketchup, butter and salt and pepper. The food was cooked well and presented nicely.
This McDonald’s is located on Kanan Road in Agoura Hills, California right off the freeway, clearly visible as you drive by. It’s situated next to the Shell gas station, just like it has been for as long as I can remember. The food here is exactly what you’d expect from a typical Southern California McDonald’s. I usually go for the Egg McMuffin with a hash brown, and occasionally a coffee. My wife prefers the hotcakes with a hash brown, which she shares with our boys. I rarely have complaints about the food because McDonald’s generally maintains solid quality control. If you need any adjustments to your order, they’re usually able to accommodate small changes without issue. Service here is consistent with most McDonald’s locations. You can dine in the restaurant has plenty of seating or choose the drive-through. They also offer curbside pickup with designated parking spots labeled 1 through 5. Just enter the spot number in the app, and they’ll bring your order out to your car. The ambiance is what you’d expect: clean, functional, and updated every few years to keep things looking fresh as seen in the photos I’ve included with this review. I visit McDonald’s often, like many people do, but this location holds a special place in my heart. It’s where I used to go with my parents when I was a kid growing up in Agoura Hills. I’ll always come back, whether it’s for a quick breakfast, a coffee, or just some of those perfectly crispy French fries.

Service was ok. But, sadly, there was a homeless man sleeping on the sidewalk, rt on the side of the front door, without a blanket & it was absolutely freezing. It was heartbreaking. It's Christmas time. Hopefully, he has some kind of family to maybe take him in during the holidays. My prayers are with him.
A very mediocre McDonalds. The service wasn't all that good, and was definitely sub par compared to other McDonalds. The food was also below average. The fries were not very good, and the burgers were messily put together (however most McDonalds are like this). The reason why this isn't getting less stars is because there was a lot of seating room, and it was definitely a larger McDonalds. It was kept clean so my criticism has more to do with what's happening behind that counter.

They have the option of hot cappuccinos and lattes on their menu but upon asking for one, they informed me that they don't have them available. This was so not poggers! It was rather disappointing and I had to order a regular coffee. Here's a suggestion, how about you update your menu or fix your machine. All in all, the food was alright, upkeeping mcdonald's standards.

We went through drive thru. No problems at all until we got to the window to pay for the food, I tried to use my McDonald's app to apply a discount for my food and the lady wouldn't let me use the coupon code. Times are tough and now McDonald's doesn't want you to be aloud to use any discount we can get. Unbelievable! Money Hungry!

HORRIBLE place, taking advantage of fast food being limited in Agoura Hills. Overcharges, has value menu they DO NOT HONOR it. They actually charge almost $7 for a breakfast sandwich. Rude employees shrugging things off rather then explaining them...stay away from that rip off place! They don't deserve even one star but had to give it to write review.
The worst service. After stating 10 times at the drive through that I only wanted ketchup and nothing else on my burgers, they still made mistake. I called and talked to a manger and explained the situation, but he ended up hanging up on me. Worst service and the staff doesn’t care about the customers. I hope that the owner will see this post and try to do something about it.
Our fries were limp and cold and they got out order wrong once again. We had to get back in the drive thru line again a second time because they screwed up. It's fast food it's really not that hard to take an order and read what's on the screen and make that order. But again it is McDonald's home of the incompetent.
English muffins are always doughy they don't grill them there and could hear employees complaining about wanting the food hot well done. Sorry wrong McDonald this the one on 100 N. Azusa most of the people in front of us were there to get their money back or get what wasn't in the bag or what they had messed up. Manager acts like she is on doggy downers.
McDonals 29161 Canwood St., Agoura Hills. This is my second review for this fast food restaurant. Unfortunately I'm going to have to lower my star rating a couple of points. When we stop by on Christmas Eve for a lite lunch with coffee before going on to celebrate the season. The service is still OK and the food is still fairly good. My complaints is a health issue with this McDonald's. I was standing at the counter after ordering and looking through into the center of the restaurant, I saw one employee putting together our hamburgers with his bare hands.just picking up the cook hamburger patties and sticking it on the buns. Not using a utensil or plastic gloves or anything to keep the food sanitary. This is very unsanitary. My second complaint is while we were sitting at our table a good man came over to clean up after a large crowd of people with several children as I was watching him. I noticed there were several of those little individual containers of catch-up scattered among all the messy food. Instead of dumping all the trash in a wastebasket he was picking up the unopened packages of catchup wiping them off then separating them to put back on the counter for unsuspecting people to pick up. I don't believe this man bussing the tables is doing this on his own volition because he would have no reason to unless he was instructed to do so by the owners to save a few cents at the expense of patrons health. No telling what kind of a disease or affection you could get from a restaurant that is not health-conscious. This is definitely a management policy allowing this type of behavior in my opinion.
Another 1star visit. ___ Older review: I've never been particularly impressed with this location. My most recent visit cost approx $8.50 for a Bacon Egg Cheese Biscuit, small fry, and a large drink. A more appropriate cost should be about $6.50, as it is at the surrounding areas other locations. The sandwich was $3.99. When I said that it's pretty expensive the guy goes "yeah it is."
The lady "accidentally" dropped my credit card down the donations box which they don't have a key for. My only solution from them was to wait until the person comes with a key (once a month) and pick it up. I live 400 miles away. Do you think they'd offer to mail it? Nope. Just move along and business as usual because it didn't affect them.

Sloppy Oreo McFlurry. The cup was practically half-full. Huge gaping hole inside. No oreo mix. Ice cream all outside of the cup. They spend more time inventing excuses as opposed to serving it as intended. The manager came out and tried to explain to me what an Oreo McFlurry was. Said nothing looks like the pictures. Unapologetically lame customer service skills.
The attitude of the employee is so bad. The staff take up the close parking area near the entrance.I seen these in a few staff. They alienate anyone who is not friends of them or co worker. I ask for a refill of tea because there tea was not by the drinks. He gave me just tea with no ice. I was like is it not second nature for you to get ice? Since the first time I enter that business I felt I was being alienated. Poor Customer Service Franchiser: Why hire staff who does not give a dam about your money. Who care about the people who conduct business on your investments? If I was working at McDonald I would treat people good not give a dam about anything. I would be happy working and getting discounted food.
The guy who took our order was so rude. When I asked for a moment to order for my daughter, he sighed (very loudly). When I was ordering he kept interrupting making me feel uncomfortable. When I was making sure it was all that we needed, I turned to my husband to double check. I said "Give me one moment please" he said "What else do you want?" in such a rude way. I'm never coming here again, not the first time this has happened. They screwed up my order a year ago, when I went in to ask for the last part of the order they accused me of trying to get free things, told me I was lying. I asked for the manager and he had said they forgot to put in the bag, handed me the burger and never once apologized for the way his employees acted towards me. I wouldn't come here if you don't like attitude.

Tonight 1/26/22 @7pm, I unfortunately witnessed the manager berating, intimidating and bullying the window server. I was in my car at the window, and it was just awful to witness. The window server just stood there taking it, and realized there was a customer at the window, me, and as soon as the manager stopped he turned around to assist me. I didn't know what to say and came out with I thought he was doing a wonderful job. I almost turned around to go back thru the line and let him know that harassing and intimidating employees in the workplace is illegal in California. I tried to find the owner of the franchise online before writing this to no avail, but will continue. Update: I called this McDonalds and asked how I might contact the franchise owner. The woman said she didn't know. I repeated, you don't know how to contact the owner of your establishment. Answer...no. I asked if there was a manager there who might assist with this info. She responded she was the manager. I tried a last time, and she would not give up any way to contact the franchise owner.
I placed an online order here at this location and produced a receipt yet shift manager denied that I purchased anything at all after waiting 20 minutes. Refused to make order (even though I had a receipt saying it was purchased here) and place is extremely disorganized.
They don't want to spend money on condiments.They kept asking if I wanted to plain cheeseburgers. I told them no four time and then clarified, when I drove up to the window, that it was two regular cheeseburger meals with everything on it. When I got the cheeseburgers, home they were plain. I won't go back.
The employee taking my order had difficulty figuring out how much to charge me for extra sauce, and called over their manager for help which was fine if they're new and learning. When I got to the window a different employee threw a fit about saying I wasn't charged enough for the sauce because he didn't see the fries on order, his mistake. He then also calls the employee over and argued with them about the amount of sauce to charge, then talks to the manager again about it while I'm sitting here. This whole time he's using the wrong pronouns for me and when politely corrected, just ignored me. After the absolute fiasco thrown over 2¢ worth of sauce I paid and left. Disaster experience here.
Ordered a fry and a coke. Took over 10 minutes. Fry’s were cold. Asked for hot fries, the worker dropped them in grease then put them back in the same container. Gross. Wonder how man other customers food has went back in the grease.
I have been a loyal customer of McDonald’s for many years. I recently moved to the Agoura Hills neighborhood and today I visited the McDonald’s location near my new home for the first time. Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience with several issues that I feel compelled to report. First, the female staff member was extremely rude and unprofessional. I had placed my order through the official McDonald’s app, but she did not bring the food to my table as expected. When I received my meal, it was cold and tasted bad. I asked for a cup of regular water, and she handed it to me with visible annoyance. Second, the chicken I had ordered was cold and had an unpleasant taste. I then ordered a cheeseburger instead, which was left on the counter for about ten minutes. I was waiting at my table, assuming someone would bring it over — but they didn’t. By the time I found out and got it myself, the cheeseburger was also cold. Third, there were many small flies buzzing around, making it very uncomfortable to eat. I will not be returning to this location again. I felt disrespected, and I am genuinely disappointed by the incompetence of the staff. McDonald’s is a reputable and well-known company, and most of its branches are excellent — but sadly, this location does not meet those standards. Masoud
"I had a disappointing experience at the McDonald's drive-thru today, just 15 minutes ago. The lady at the speaker asked me to provide the app code while I was ordering, which I found unusual. Despite my assurance that I'd provide it later, she continued to insist. When I ordered a Big Mac, I specifically said 'large fries and large drink' expecting it to come as a meal. However, she tried to charge me separately for them, saying 'if you don't tell me it's a meal, I'll put them in separately.' I found this frustrating, and her tone became rude when I pointed out the mistake, saying 'oh, now you know.' When I reached the window, the issue persisted. The staff member claimed I couldn't use the 20% off deal, and the male manager, who seemed to recognize me from previous mishaps, was equally unhelpful and dismissive. He claimed the app wouldn't let him apply the discount, and despite my frustration, the staff just laughed. I ended up canceling my order and leaving. It's disappointing that the staff lacked professionalism and customer service skills. Something needs to change to prevent losing regular customers like me."
14 minutes and 35 seconds. That's how long it took these guys to pull a meat patty out of the rewarming drawer and scoop some soggy fries into a cup. 14 minutes, 35 seconds. And you still think $20/hour is justified?
Totally creepy dude hit on me the first time and then second time kept my card hostage until line moved along and he could hit on me again. Can’t go back now, very upset I can’t go back. Please fire him so I can go back. I want to give you business but not with him there. Dec 22nd and January 1st at night
Apparently the size of the fish sandwich has been reduced. The bun size is about what the old single hamburger was. $5.99 for just the sandwich? Ridiculous…McDonald’s has overpriced themselves. It’s just a matter of time before they close their doors. I’ll never go back. Update: we decided to give this restaurant another chance this evening. We ordered 2 qtr pounders with cheese, the daily double meal, 10 piece chicken McNuggets, one order of large fries and two cheeseburgers. The total was slightly over $40. Once we got home we discovered that only one cheeseburger was in the bag. I’m done with this place and will never give McDonald’s any more business.
No coffee available, because the coffee maker is broken! Unacceptable, and missing one hashbrown of my order, sad.
Absolute poor customer service from their "manager" Brian. At the drive-thru I informed him I had a mobile order for Taj. Brian asked if it was "mobile" or "pickup", which I replied "same thing, it's a mobile order for Taj from Uber Eats". He chuckled, in a condescending tone laughed and said it was not the same thing, to pull forward to the 2nd window. At the window I asked for his name and if he was the one speaking through the drive-thru speaker which he confirmed his name was Brian and it was indeed him on the speaker. So I told Brian "do you think it's appropriate for you to speak down to customers like that through the speaker box?" He didn't say anything except for "UHH we need to confirm the type of order", didn't offer an apology for his tone or any inconvenience he caused. Even after I had clearly stated the order was for Taj from Uber Eats. I could see by his uniform that be was a manager. I told him as a manager he should know better on how to speak professionally to all customers. Brian just said "ok well have a good night". Unfortunately due to having a terminally ill mother who I care for, I now do Uber Eats as a way to make ends meet. The way Brian handled the entire interaction tonight, starting at the drive-thru speaker until getting my order at the drive-thru window, was absolute poor customer service. Not surprised to get home and have a notification from Uber stating I had been docked by a merchant (wonder by whom) as a poor driver. Repaying the favor here for you Brian with this review. Skip this place unless you're a masochist desperate for food.
One of the cashiers double charged me. When I in the drive though, it was a very bad experience, I paid ahead on mobile app so they ended up charging me again in person, I requested a refund online but never got it, very terrible McDonald’s place.
Their sweet tea in the morning is always awful. Whoever is making the sweet tea needs to learn from another McDonald’s with good sweet tea. Like most other McDonald’s.
This was hands down the worst McDonald’s experience of our lives. We pulled up to the first drive-thru speaker and the guy told us, “Hold on one moment”—then completely disappeared. Never came back. Just silence. We sat there waiting like idiots for 10 full minutes, thinking maybe they were busy. Turns out, he was just helping people in the other drive-thru lane like nothing happened—taking their orders, moving them through, acting like we didn’t exist. We finally had to drive up to the window just to place our order. No apology, no explanation, just pure incompetence. If your job is taking orders and you can’t even do that, maybe it’s time for a career change. Absolutely pathetic. This place needs a complete staff overhaul. Avoid this location unless you enjoy being treated like invisible garbage.
