Olive Garden Longview Reviews
Server Jen, Was awesome! 20 out of 10!! Best Server I ever had in a restaurant! I am a very picky person. She is definitely a keeper! Don't let her go...
My favorite lunch spot when I visit Longview. Usually great experience but last time service lacked. I'll be back tho.
We had fantastic service from our server. She was great, Miss Michelle. 👍🏼. We landed in the bar area. Little dark but great atmosphere. Food was great the acholic drinks were good. They have the tablet also to order from on the table. Cleanliness was good and kept up.
Our waiter we had today on 2/23, Valentin, was great! Very attentive and friendly. Food was good as always
I was taken there to celebrate my birthday, the food was marvelous, as was the cake for desert. Very friendly & accommodating server. Super experience!
Great food. Great service. It's one of the better Olive Garden's that I've visited. Sade was our waitress, and she did a fantastic job! Drink glasses were always filled. Breadsticks never ran out. This was late on a Sunday night, too!
Great meal, our waiter made the meal extremely enjoyable!
We've always enjoyed eating there at the OG but this time we didn't, my wife's M- soup didn't have all the ingredients and we confronted the waitress about it and she pretty much argued with us about it, till she finally checked with the kitchen, and they did realized they did leave the beans out of it, and my Tour of Italy was left under the heat lamp too long and the noodles were hard and almost crunchy, the service wasn't what it usually was. Food wasn't either. Don't know if we will try it again or not. Hate it because we've always enjoyed it. They were not short staffed because alot of workers were standing outside the kitchen just looking around and talking.
Alison was our waitress and was over the top helpful and patient with my aging indecisive sweet mother. Her knowledge of the menu and suggested entrees made our Olive Garden experience memorable.
I so appreciate the friendly service of Jaffet and Sky.
Took my family here tonight for the soup and bread sticks. We had sauce with the bread, a nice first for me. The servings were good. Attentive staff made sure the drinks were full and of course, we finished up with the mints!
It's been always good but not this time. Sorry. The waiter took just almost 18 minutes to give us the ticket. Also he never refilled our water so another waitress had to do it because we asked, that's why. The little machine on the table kept blinking and not even one waiter stopped by, so what is it for anyway? I wanted to pay cash anyways. I'm thinking the waiter was new but certainly he needs training. After all, he even got a good tip because I know they supposedly are working hard. Also, he mixed our food but because they took so long to come to our table in the first place so we decided to not bother and went ahead and ate the meal, even tho it was the wrong dish contrary to what we ordered in the first place. I forgot to take a picture. I always do.
Our visit today was not the best. 5 people at our table, 1 order was overcooked and sauce not on the side as we suggested, water and salad tasted funny for 2 people, 1 person's pasta dish has another type of pasta in with it. Waitress was new and not attentive. A far cry from our usual here.
The bread sticks are always good and hard lately! Food takes like it was Microwaved. We go several times a month but, here lately hasn't been that good. Service was Awesome !
We had a birthday dinner . Had 30 people, service was great. Never had such great service. Everyone got their food at Sametime, all drinks were full never had to ask for anything.
The food is delicious, but the waiter we had was not very professional. It took forever to get our food and drink, being it was water and lemon , we had to flag him down and still had to wait ? When did we get our ticket ? Finally, we gave him 50.00 he said ok, thank you, and started walking away, and we said umm we would like to see our change first! He said ok oh I'm sorry? We weren't going to tip him at all, but we decided to tip him and not go back again !! We live an hour and a half from there, great food bad service!
The atmosphere, service, and food were great. Had the soup and salad. Delicious 😋
Love their Zupa Toscana, it's always delicious! Friendly staff, I enjoy it every time I go.
I have been to Olive Garden 3 times this week and each time I have been, the service is always met with a smile from the beginning with the hosts. The servers all have a friendly attitude and a smile and are always happy to help give an amazing dine in experience.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT THE MANAGER THALIA WAS SO HELPFUL AND CHEERFUL MAKE ME FEEL SO WELCOME I DEFINITELY COMEBACK JUST FOR HER ACTITUD 😘😘😘♥️♥️♥️🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
My boyfriend and I went to dinner tonight here, we ordered the toasted ravioli and the spinach and artichoke dip. Toasted ravioli was ok but the spinach and artichoke dip tasted sour AND had a hair in it. We let our waiter know and he took care of it no problem. Boyfriend and I both have been dealing with bad stomach issues since we got home around 8:30. I just wanted to inform everyone to be careful! And I also wanted to show my appreciation to our waiter tonight. His name was Dave I believe, but he said to call him D. He was spectacular and took the spinach and artichoke dip off of our bill. He had a decent amount of tables that were all 5+ tops, he forgot to put my dessert on our bill, so I asked if he was going to put it on there. He said “ya know, you could have just gotten away with not paying for that but instead you were honest. Since you did that, you just got a free dessert!” He was amazing! Next time we go to Olive Garden I will be asking for his section. We left him a pretty good tip! On a side note, our entrees were AMAZING! I got the Asiago Tortelloni Alfredo with grilled chicken and my boyfriend got the Lasagna. Both were amazing!
Great service. They were short staffed but still took care of customers. Our waitress was the bartender.
I ordered a lunch spaghetti to go; the meal portion to go was smaller than usual, the salad was too big, and the 2 breadsticks were soft and good. The bar area workers were friendly, attentive, and worked with excellence. It was a lovely visit.
The food was great, as always but our server, Alison, made our meal so enjoyable. She has a charming personality and was an excellent waitress!!!!
Went in for lunch and definitely enjoyed it. Our waiter was great and attentive. Had a manager walk by and check on the waiter that was serving us. Was easy to pay the bill and definitely love eating the chocolate mint, as it brings back memories from when I was a child.
The food was excellent! So tasty!! Eladio was our very courteous, very attentive server. We had a wonderful relaxing experience. The waiter and great food made all the difference!
The food is always good and the service had been great!
Love this location! The staff is super friendly; specifically the curbside pickup workers! I order the shrimp scampi with no tomatoes every time and I never have any problems with my order! Salad is amazing as well as the Alfredo dipping sauce for the breadsticks! The restaurant is always clean and well maintained along with their restrooms!
Order the tour of Italy. My first time eating here. I felt like I been missing out. Was worth money spent. My food was 🔥. After the bread and salad I thought I wouldn't be hungry. Your cooks are really 👍 good!!!
Food here is great. One of my favorite restaurants in longview. There's always a wait even if they just opened and parking lot is empty.
It had been years since my last trip to Olive Garden. The food was exceptional. The drinks were spectacular the weight staff was amazing. Thank you for the best ladies night out
Excellent service. Everything came out perfect but one of the plates spilled in my to go bag. The employee DK and the employee Carlos sprung into action and fixed it immediately no charge. I really appreciate that. Also DK made everything more easier by checking if everything was up to par due to my religious limitations on certain dishes. Ten out of ten service from both of them both need a raise
Our waitress was amazing. I can't remember her name but she was so kind and helpful. Her service was top tier
Our server Becca M was amazing! She was very quick and attentive to all of our needs and was so kind! 10/10 experience
Very good all around as usual. The waitress and hosts were great. There did to be small unpleasant smell in the are where we were sitting. This usually does not happen but it did the other day. All the servers had smiles.
Always a good choice! The food is consistently delicious. The service is great, and the atmosphere is cozy. Sometimes when the restaurant is full it can get noisy, like most restaurants. My favorite dish is the lasagna frittata. Though it’s an appetizer, it’s easily a full meal. Bursting with flavor, the ricotta cheese and deep fried crust melt in your mouth!
It is always been a favorite of mine. I love the salad and the breadsticks. The chicken parmesan is really really good! I don't think I've ever had a bad meal here.
Good friendly people to seat you ,served you and ask if everything is ok also managers asking if your visit was good. Great place to have a nice enjoyable meal. The staff was friendly but not so friendly and attentive to our needs. The staff asked if we needed our drinks refilled when they were know more then a third empty and asked if we would like more bread rolls and if we needed anything. We had an enjoyable meal with friendly people to see to our meal needs .Great place to take the family. We enjoyed visit with the local servers that came by to check on us .
food was delicious. i went with my brother and we got the unlimited pasta deal. our waitress, becca, was very friendly and informative when we asked any questions. she was polite and attentive without being suffocating and very sweet. the food was delicious and came out in a timely manner. we came at 5pm on a saturday and still got seated within a reasonable time. will be coming back :)
I had spaghetti with meatballs and the house salad, The main entrée was a little small but it was good. The salad was especially delicious the meal was very enjoyable. The meat balls were large but processed meat I wish this were different. Waitstaff was very attentive and helpful. The restaurant was clean and there was no problem waiting for a table.
So I come here kind of often and I’ve never had a problem, I love everything about this place!!! BUTTTTT today was the best service I have ever had!!!! I came in late in a little bit of a rush and my waiter Byron was THE BEST!! He was very understanding but still attentive he assured me that my food would be out very soon (literally I think the fastest it’s ever come out) and even tho I was rushing to eat he still made a point to make sure everything came out good, checked on me multiple times, and even brought me my Togo box RIGHT OFF THE BAT!! idk how many times I thanked him for everything and he even thanked me back right away!!! I also work in a restaurant so I know how stressful it can be to feel rushed so I tried my best to be patient and never asked about when my food was coming out because he let me know immediately when it was almost done and had a smile on his face the whole time!!! This was definitely my quickest trip to Olive Garden but definitely 10/10 my favorite also!!!
Went with a party of 6. I got the tour of Italy. Food was excellent. Waitress was nice and attentive as well as the manager who was just slightly overbearing. We didn't need the waitress AND the manager checking on us several times, especially when the waitress was very sweet and did wonderful. Context, she stopped by to ask if we needed drink refills, left to get them and right after she left, the manager came and asked if we needed refills. Other than that, everything was great and I would definitely return!
Absolutely amazing experience at olive garden, the food was amazing, I have fried shrimp for an appetiser before the main and it was the best appetiser I've ever had. The soup was great as well especially with the addition of the free bread sticks. The mains didn't take long to come as our waiter was great and made sure we constantly had everything we needed. Great food and great service.
I am never disappointed when I go to Olive Garden. The food is always very good and the service was good as well. I was very happy to see that all the workers were practicing social distancing and making sure our table was clean as well as all our essentials at our table. Thank you so much for all you do to help make it a pleasant experience during this stressful time!
It just can't get any better if you want Italian Food! New menus, new foods. The chicken Alfredo was great as always. Huge portions! We've never had a waitress or waiter that didn't go above and beyond their job description. We love how they greet you the moment you open the door. The atmosphere is so warm and welcoming, you often times find yourself just sitting and enjoying good conversation after eating, you don't feel rushed to give up your table. We have never left empty handed...we always tote out a bag of leftovers, they give you good microwave safe containers to take your leftovers home and a fresh bag of bread sticks. There are a lot of great Italian restaurants but I'd choose Olive Garden over all of them!

First night in Longview, and we went here for supper. The service was top notch, and the food was just as good. There were 5 of us, and all 5 of us left with a smile on our face, and our bellies …
Seating took a little long for a big party, but it was good service. Menu changed a lot no beef dishes to speak of mostly chicken . Everything was well prepared and taste great. Just not the same menu since the virus. I think set up for take out dishes understandable. We had a great time and every thing was good. We all eat our fill.
Really enjoyed ourselves. Food is great. I don't like that the servers never suggest a wine anymore. Those were the good old days. Servers just aren't as engaged anymore. Brought sweet tea instead of unsweet, and insisted on packing my to-go meal for me (which I don't like--I feel I should be allowed to keep whatever portions of my meal that I want, and not just have someone else take my fork and dump my food into a box) We will be back though.
Food was excellent, and so was our waiter. Hostesses were another matter. I came inside using a cane and they let people jump in front of us that were able bodied. Also I explained that I just had disc replacement surgery and she sat ne in front of where servers return trays. I will be back but I hope the manager reads these comments. Young ladies shouldn't let customers run over elderly and disabled patrons. Also they should listen to customers when they request accommodations.
I got the Herb grilled salmon with broccoli and it was delicious! The service was phenomenal. I would have given 5 stars, but I called ahead of time before we head a larger party (10 people) and they said that you can't do call ahead for parties of 7 or more.. Really!? That policy needs to change. When we got there we were put in a very small area with a table VERY close to us and we were very close to the wall... When someone needed to go to the restroom, everyone had to get up and filled out just so we could get by.
The food was awesome, just like always. But the service? ...not so good. I waited forever for a server, then forever for my drink, then forever for my salad. Lunch finally came, I ate, and then I waited and waited for the check. Finally, I left. The table looked a bit junky with the finished dishes.
There are so many servers and they all have small or shared section, so I'm really baffled at how hard it is to get one at your table. The food is great once you can finally get it to your table, but trying to both flag down our waiter AND get what we asked for was painful and slow. I sat drinkless for a good ten minutes after all the non alcoholic drinks were brought out and was finished with my entree before my soup ever even showed up (and I am a very slow eater!)
Pretty good Italian fast food. Occasionally service can be hit or miss depending on the waiter / waitress. This time was a miss, requested more breadsticks, they didn't arrive until after I had finished my meal.
I was upset the first time I went to Olive Garden. Apart from getting my order wrong twice, the food took longer than expected. The restaurant wasn’t busy either, but I decided to give it another try. The second time around everything was spot on perfection. The staff was so friendly and the food was delicious!!

We have eaten there three times. The first was wonderful. The second they got my husbands order wrong and made us pay for it. IT ADDED ALMOST $20. Bucks to our tab. This time we were seated and 7 minutes had to wait until I went and found the manager. He offered free dessert but we don’t ever do dessert. I’m just very disappointed at the downhill experience. The absolute best Italian food though. Worth all the BS.
Only reason it's not a higher rating is i went twice in 2 weeks...it's been years since I've been to olive garden but I went with my coworkers...anyways I got the Neverending pasta with the Neverending breadsticks..when I got my to go box they were super awesome boxed my stuff up an even brought me like 4 bread just for my meal!! Awesome!! Especially when I literally ate 1 bread stick the whole meal there so I felt like yes I'm getting my my moneys worth!!! Now let's fast forward to a week or so later to the same exact meal..the waitress you can tell just had an attitude an really didn't wanna be there...she gave me hell just getting the bread in the first place... not sure if she was just in a mood or what the deal was but I guess I'll see you maybe in another few years...😒
We did not find the special that were on TV. But it's always great
This particular Olive garden had a bad smell something a,sewer smell, normally I would leave but I had my 82 year old mom and she has never recovered her sense of smell and gets nervous easy I didn't want to upset her by changing plans. The server was awesome very quick efficient and friendly, the food was delicious as usual except for the bread sticks they were not their usual soft and warm state, they tasted rather stale. I probably won't come back to this location however because of that smell.
Ordered an app to come out with the meal to add to my pasta. Meals came but no app. Hit the button to get attention. 10 minutes later we tell Alison about it. She looks at the table kiosk and takes off. Returning rudely with the wrong app slamming it on the table and walking off. Another 5 minutes to tell her wrong again. She corrects it, puts on table and turns away. We have never been so disappointed there. We took a meal home because we waited too long and all was done except waiting to put app on top of meal.
I always cringe when I with a group and they want Olive Garden. The servers are fine, but the food is 2nd rate Italian at best. I think there are a bunch of cooks? back there throwing pre-made junk in microwaves.
I’ve been to this Olive Garden many times and with the exception of today, I have always enjoyed it. I’m not sure if it was an “off” day or what was going on but our service was fair to midland. Granted, this was our waitress’ first day so I’ll give a ton of grace. Where to start, the service was somewhat sloppy, and what I mean is that she wasn’t going the extra mile. She was super to quick to rush us out by overly asking if we were ready to order. She got the wrong order as well. She gave the incorrect (over) change back to us. It took about 30 minutes between the time she said she was getting our check until we actually got it. She added items that we didn’t order on our check. For the sake of respect, I won’t mention the waitress’ name as I don’t want to hinder her chances of someone enjoying her service.
General staff was kind, but our waitress Casey L was no good. I’m sorry to say this but in order for her to improve, this review is necessary. The waitress who was also in the section as our waitress served 4 tables that sat down after us Before we even got our food. And the tables even left before us. Never got a refill. Bedside manner was great, but that doesn’t mean her service matched. Hopefully, she gets a slap on the wrist and improves. But if I get her again as a waitress, I will likely ask for a different one.
We must have come during a change of shift because it was a little chaotic. The host's appearance was somewhat "unkempt ." He ushered us to a table that had not been bussed when there were several clean, open tables. He had us wait while he started to bus the table. Suddenly he left and other employees took over bussing. The waitress, Emma, was very knowledgeable & friendly... Assisted us with selections from the menu. We tried one new dish the seafood Alfredo & The Tour Of Italy. Both dishes were delicious along with the Minestrone soup, salad & breadsticks. Rickie came to assist us with drink refills as Emma was busy with getting drinks for a large table group. We were slightly disappointed that we were not offered to order a dessert or drinks to go. We paid at the table and left.. Not the best experience we've had with Olive Garden. If this review was helpful please "Like".
salad was good. Lasagna clasico was barely average. Wife got chicken Alfredo with broccoli. Again, it was average.

When 2 people come in and order 2 different meals that come with a salad, don't combine my salad with the other meal, give each person the same amount as you would if they were dining alone... You don't want people to share yet you combine our food..make it make sense. To avoid sacrificing your tip, wash a few extra dishes..
My husband & I ate at The Olive Garden in Longview,Texas this evening. I ordered soup and salad it was awful! Salad had the ends of the lettuce and huge chunks 2" wide of purple onion in it and was drowning in salad dressing!! The lettuce was old not crisp or fresh,! The soup was cold!! My husband had the spaghetti and sauce and some of the pasta was crunchy!? Worst meal I've ever had there!! So much for a nice dinner out with my husband! 12/05/2024
We used to love coming here, but not anymore. The moment we walked in the host was unpleasant. Grabbed menus and walked away without saying anything, then was annoyed when she realized we weren't right behind her. We didn't know if she was seating us or one of the many other families there. Our server forgot multiple things we asked for, and also acted bothered when we asked for them. The environment is nothing like it used to be. High prices for a crappy experience. We will definitely be going to Roma's from here on out. They have amazing food for better prices and their staff is so friendly and welcoming.
Had a horrible experience with our waiter. You need to train your staff better. From getting drinks to getting our food was horrible. He didn’t even offer waters. It took us asking 3 times where’s our drinks? Every time we needed a drink! Our food was taking forever to come out. He kept blaming everything on the people at the bar….the 80 year old hunched back people making our food ( that was his exact words). He never once owned up that it was actually his POOR waiting abilities that was the problem. He even told us that he didn’t work there to make money but to only socialize. He was so damn annoying. We almost got up and left. He told us that he’s only allowed to go to the bathroom one time on his shift! I don’t care….I came here to have a good meal with my family and it was horrible!!!! I will definitely pick a different place to go next time. Please train your staff better!
I would give this place zero stars if I could. My family (2 adults and 4 children) arrived at 3 p.m. in the afternoon--hardly a busy time. The parking lot wasn't even full. We waited 20-30 minutes …

Worst service… do better. When you have 41 empty tables, there shouldn’t be a fifteen minute wait. When you have someone standing in front of you, don’t ignore them and answer the phone. The front end staff with the personality of a brick, need some training. Whoever is hiring could choose better candidates. All in all, one star because I can’t leave zero.
I went with my family, from 7 years to 78 years old… It was supposed to be my birthday dinner. I explained that I had a birthday party of 12 and they said they will not be able to seat me until everyone is there. While 9/12 of my guests stood and sat in the lobby, I asked again 3 more times to be seated and they refused me service until the other three got there. So, instead of seating us, we watched as group, after group, after group was seated. I asked if they would have room for us by the time that my late guests arrived and if they were setting a table at least. I was told no, they were not setting up a table because my whole party had not arrived. We waited nearly and hour (45 minutes) because 3 guests were not able to be there from work yet. It ruined my birthday party, which was set to just be a simple dining experience with family. I will never EVER return. Eventually, all 9 of us left and found dinner elsewhere, but I stand by what I said. No second chances. That was an awful experience.
Family and I were in longview for a middle school basketball tournament and hungry after a 12 hour day. Daughter suggested olive garden, one of her favorites. Arrived at 7:30pm on Saturday, so they were busy, no big surprise and to be expected. Hostess wasn't very helpful in offering a time frame and I almost felt she was talking to me in a way that might discourage us from waiting in hopes we would leave. I told her very firmly we would wait, no matter how long. We were hungry and weren't leaving. I asked her about how long of a wait...she just kind of went...uhhhh...and ignored me. We stood for a bit until we found a place to sit. While sitting in the waiting area 3-4 servers kept "waddling" thru there looking all haggard and slouchy making "comments", mostly to do with seating and complaints directed towards the hostesses. The hostesses worked all stressed looking at their seating charts like it was a college algebra problem. One server waddled thru and had a stinky smell as she passed by us. The kids smelled it too. Ironically she ended up being our server. She was incredibly nice but lacked hygiene and smelled like sweat and other odors. 🤢 that was a bit of a turnoff towards our appetites. We ate our meals. The food was good and the value was good. No complaints there. As we left, there was an African American gentleman that seemed to be in charge and he was talking to most of the waitstaff and the hostesses in the front with some sort of gripes and angry demeanor. I think he was telling them not to be asking to leave early or something of the sort. This fella stormed off crossed right in front of me and was really flexing on everyone his authority. It was a negative vibe. Not very professional.
Went in told us bar area was only area open for last hour to sit anywhere. Went in every table was dirty and bartender told us he just wiped two spots at bar. Didn’t even offer to clean a booth off. Left went somewhere else.
The waitress brought the wrong wine to begin our meal My wife ordered the stuffed chicken and she got the wrong order and the waitress argued with her Other than that the service was terrible the restaurant was not crowded and the manager walked by several time but didn’t bother to ask about our meal. Probably because he was goofing around
They messed up my order and said they were going to call me back twice and they just ignored me by not calling me back to resolve the issue. l really think they just don't care, because I talked to two managers and they both said they would call me back with a resolution but just ignored me and I am very disappointed and very unhappy with the service of my order horrible and I would not recommend them to anyone!!!!
Went to eat there around 8pm got seated right away and was at the table for about 20 minutes and no one ever came to wait on us got up and left
AWFUL service. went yesterday with my boyfriend & baby, we were the first ones in the door. they told us they were clearing off a table & would seat us in just a few minutes. i then took my baby to the bathroom, & my boyfriend overheard the workers upfront say the servers said they didn’t want anymore tables. i then came out of the bathroom & we sat & waited some more time. they proceeded to sit down a family of 7 & three separate parties of 2, all while we were still waiting. no one up front ever said anything to us beyond the initial “it'll be a few minutes.” watching all these families get sat that had just walked in while we had been waiting was very much infuriating, & the lack of communication on why we hadn’t been sat. no one said a word to us, so we proceeded to walk out & don’t plan on coming back. i’ve been a manager myself for four years now & i would never treat customers in such way.
I would give this place zero stars if I could. My family (2 adults and 4 children) arrived at 3 p.m. in the afternoon—hardly a busy time. The parking lot wasn’t even full. We waited 20–30 minutes and still never got seated. During that time, I saw multiple people (2-tops and 4-tops) being seated right away, while we were completely ignored. I even walked a lap around the building just to make sure I wasn’t missing something—and sure enough, I could clearly see several empty tables on both sides of the restaurant. There was absolutely no reason they couldn’t seat us. All I wanted was to sit down and share a meal with my wife and kids at a place that tells you you’re “considered family.” Instead, we were ignored, made to wait, and watched as other people were taken ahead of us. It was embarrassing and frustrating to wait that long with children, only to be overlooked while plenty of space sat empty. If this is how they treat families, then don’t waste your time or money there are plenty of other restaurants that actually value their customers.
I wish I could give tbis dining experience 0 stars... Nothing and I do mean nothi g tasted like actual cooked food rather the cheap microwave varieties. My 13 yr old son's favorite food is spaghetti and even he bwho usually eats anything barely touched anything. I can not express my disappointment enough. I will never eat Olive Garden again.
