How did I not know about this place?? Tasty European sandwiches - my favorites are the Jambon Beurre and Saucisson Sec. The multigrain baguette is the way to go with any sandwich. Will be back to try all the other goodies!

I swear I have Stockholm Syndrome with this cafe — I find myself drawn back every time I am in the City! The intimate setting, impeccable service, and insane food quality. Highly recommend their oat milk lattes, green tea scone, and honestly any of their baguette sandwiches. My favorite brunch cafe in all of New York and will forever be back!

Excellent cafe to sit down and take a break. There are many seats in the back and the wifi is reliable. The staff is very friendly. I only had a quick cold brew and a banana bread slice as a snack, but did enjoy them both. Would come back to try the other interesting food options.

Such a cute little shop! Their bread was hands down the best I had. Even hours after ordering (bread and butter) that I got around to eating it, it still tasted so fresh! The staff was very kind and efficient. I had their orange juice and it tastes so fresh, not sure if it is freshly squeezed.. They were very busy, as almost all seating was full. Not only do they have food and pastries, they offer a variety of coffee/teas/drinks.

The place had a good crowd inside on a Thursday around 11am. Was in the area just looking for coffee and a snack. Friendly staff, tasty croissant. I paid around $10 for drip coffee and a croissant including a tip. Decided to sit outside on the small table.

The food is great, the service is good and the prices are reasonable. I eat in this very nice place at least once a month. Love their Turkey croissant sandwich and their salmon sandwich. The coffee is very good too! I recommend this place.

Loved the croissant, which was springy and fluffy and highly aromatic due to the Bordier butter. For me, the canele’s interior was a bit too loose, and the paté tasted perfect on its own but needed a pinch more salt when sandwiched in a baguette.

Wonderful find in midtown. The baguettes are on point, a thin crunch on the outside with a very moist and airy medium. The jambon beurre is the top top top recommendation, with a lovely fatty butter and a tangy mustard and a thinly sliced meat that work perfectly together. The country pâte had those great moist chunks of meat and fat and flavor, soft enough for the baguette but not a paste as is often found in NYC. The drip coffee was on point, actually being not too hot with the water. The atmosphere is great, with a front part for the quick socialization and a back part for the deeper chats. Use the front to work or to say hi quickly. If you need to give dating advice or career advice, get some coffee and sandwiches and go to the back. The staff are excellent and ensure the area is clean, making the cafe easy to enjoy. For coffee nerds, I was told Tuesdays are when you can get the pourovers (their lineup looks legit). Highly highly recommend, this will be a place I visit frequently as long as I work in midtown.

Pavé was such a lovely surprise in the middle of busy Midtown. It’s a small, cozy place that instantly makes you feel relaxed, a perfect escape from the usual city madness just a few steps away. The staff is genuinely friendly and welcoming, the kind of service that makes you want to stay a bit longer. Breakfast was excellent, beautifully prepared, and the coffee was really good - exactly what you need to start a New York day properly. We liked it so much that we actually went back a second time, which says it all. If you’re looking for a calm, charming spot with great breakfast and coffee in Midtown, Pavé is definitely worth a visit

Amazing cafe - spot on food, service, and vibe. We absolutely loved it. Order at counter - lots of choices from pastries to sandwiches. Plenty of seating in back with cosy vibe. Service was friendly and personal. Food was excellent - we loved the sandwich with melted cheese and ham… genuine raclette by the kitchen. Very cool. Highly recommend.

Pavé in Midtown is such a lovely escape from the Midtown rush. I ordered the passion fruit brioche and the green tea scone — both were delicate and beautifully made. The brioche had a soft, buttery crumb with just the right touch of tropical tang from the passion fruit, not overly sweet but full of flavor. The green tea scone was fragrant and slightly earthy, perfectly balanced with a tender texture instead of being dry like most scones. The space itself feels calm and refined, filled with the scent of freshly baked bread and espresso. Service is friendly but relaxed, and everything feels quietly confident. A perfect spot to pause and treat yourself to something genuinely well-crafted.

I had the most unforgettable salmon sandwich in my life. I modified it to be on a croissant, and I don’t think I’ll ever be able to forget it. It was savory, slightly slightly sweet from the croissant, creamy, crunchy, tangy, FLAVOR BOMB. The capers, dill, and onions added such an amazing freshness to the sandwich, and the cream cheese also tasted out of this world. I don’t know how it was so good, but I will dream about this place after I leave NY. The coffees we got were not my favorite, the flavor of the coffee itself was a little weak, and Im not sure if it’s because they do one shot in their lattes or…. I tried a plain latte so I was hoping for something a little stronger, but maybe it was just my fault I didn’t size down to a smaller cup. My husband is picky with coffee too, except he’s picky in the way that he needs it diabetically sweet. Even asking for extra sweet, it wasn’t sweet enough for him (more of a him problem than anything else lol), so be warned if you like reaalllyy sweet coffee. There were lots of places to sit at here, and the house was full. It must be a pretty popular place for locals and tourists alike. The service was also great, the guy taking our order was very kind and friendly. I would go there again for the food, but perhaps not the coffee for my personal taste.

I can see why this is rated one of the best cafes in NYC. The vibe is rustic, idyllic, and serene. I love that I can talk to my friends without shouting at each other. The coffee is silky smooth, and very delicious. It’s like a cool escape in the bustling midtown.

Hidden gems in cafe and bakery for breakfast in downtown. Wide selection of food and everything is delicious. Price are high as about 25-30/per

Avocado toast is one of those things that are on almost every menu and hardly ever worth the price lol. This place is different! Every time I’m in NY, I come here for their toast and a latte. Fresh food, clean place with ample seating, and good service. I recommend it if you need a quick breakfast on the way to work!

If you love croissants- this is the place to go. The NYT was right- once again. It’s buttery and flaky, just the way you want it. The cafe itself is also very aesthetic and cozy- highly recommend!

This has to be one of the best coffee shops in New York City! I heard about Pave after eating at Noreetuh. The quality that we had at Pave was great! The baguettes had the perfect texture and were fresh, I even saw them baking some in their ovens. The Country Pate was amazing and my wife loved it. We also got the Truffle Baguette which was also really good! The Canale I had was super good! And lastly my cappuccino was the best I can remember in NYC! If you’re looking for a great vibe, great coffee, and not way over pay! You need to check this place out!

Came here for breakfast, with a couple of coffee and pastry. I love the coffee served in ceramic cup (rather then disposable ones) with beautiful latte art! The cozy ambiance definitely makes the dining experience very enjoyable!

Took the first sip of their flat white and was so pleasantly surprised by the taste of their espresso. I asked what coffee beans they used - regalia rainbow hopper. The coffee taste was bold, fruity and acidic. Very unique and delicious!

Definitely worth 2025 NY local favorites! Glad to find this coffee shop near my hotel. It’s bigger than you see from outside, many seating spaces and nice interiors. Friendly staff, great coffee and very relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Nice cafe, open early. Had their jambon beurre with cheese - nice crisp piece of baguette, generous ham. Coffee was good. Lots of seating, but the place was crowded on a weekday morning.

It’s an alright place. In my opinion too overpriced. The food was good but did not blow me out of this world for this price. The cafe mocha was amazing I will say. Worth the money. It’s a bit cold in the place and I would say you might want to keep your layers on.

Unfortunately I think their coffee is getting worse - which is a shame because I loved it when first going. The espresso is thin, with next to no crema, and tastes watery. Their milk drinks leave a bit to be desired tasting overly milky and zero attention to detail when pouring. Food always looks great though and vibes are unmatched there, and it’s a great cafe escape in midtown.
