We loveeeee the Blue Frog! The drinks are always made to perfection, the decor is awesome and the service is always flawless! This place is trendy and part of our Marshall tour of restaurants every time we visit.
The American hamburger was great and the live music really good! Didn't expect such a cool hangout in such a quaint town.
A hidden gem of Marshall, Texas. Professional, yet laid back. You will not be disappointed.

Delicious food, excellent cocktails, friendly and skilled staff, housed in an easily accessible location that was easy on the eyes and ears. We had the crab cakes and salad, the crawfish pies, Ellen's chicken and shrimp& grits. All we absolutely enjoyed. I had the negroni, she had the mule; both skillfully crafted in a well stocked collection. The location could easily accommodate a chief for the game, at a bar that was festooned with power outlets to keep everyone's phones going through the event. Definitely going into the standard rotation for us, and we hope it will be for many more.
Lots to choose from in food, wine, beer and adult beverages. The crab cakes are wonderful, as was the Pasta and shrimp. My ribeye was cooked perfectly. Live music during our dining just added the perfect touch. Friendly greeting at the door and even a visit from their talented chef to ensure everything was to our liking.
Everything at BRUNCH superior. Bloody Mary hand made. Mimosa with fresh orange juice beautifully served to pour in sparkling champagne as wanted Then Toad in the hole. +++++. Likewise the BLT omelet. Cheese grits really good. This place aspires to excellence and ACHIEVES excellence. Coffee really good and a carafe at table for hot refills. Service *****
I wanted to go out somewhere nice and enjoy the weather. Some time with my teen. Just us & this was perfect. The chicken breast with the veggies and the salad was amazing! The very best around here. Juicy tender perfectly concocted. ❤️
Food was good. Fish n chips. I bought a little coconut cake I got to go and it was fantastic! I can imagine their catering is good as well.
I've been to The Blue Frog a number of times. The food is always great, the service is friendly and excellent! Highly recommend!
We found this jewel restaurant downtown and had lunch today, home cooked meal, meat loaf, mashed potatoes, vegetables and a cookie wasincluded, all delicious. I believe they are open M-F 11-2 and 5-8. We will eat there again and we highly recommend. 😊
What a refreshing surprise in Marshall, TX. Delicious food prepared fresh by a gracious chef. Service was polite and attentive without being intrusive. Prices are fair for the quality of food served. BYOB lovely wine shop three doors north with great selection of Texas wines. Live music weekends!
We ate at Blue Frog Grill twice while visiting Marshall. This placed should have been packed! Great Tuscan Chicken. Went back for lunch. Great atmosphere, staff and live music. Highly recommend.
The folks there love what they do and it shows in their attitude and the quality of food delivered to the table. They treat me as though my business is important - not just to the owner but to each & every staff member. Oh yes - their food is tops. Want a great surprise? Order their crab cakes. Really. Their chef is from New Orleans and these crab cakes are stupendously wonderful. I enjoy well made food and this place is GREAT value. Hmmm. After writing this I am going their for dinner tonite. This is a wonderful idea.

Good food. I had the blue plate special. 2 spicy meat pies and a salad w/ drink for $9.50. the pies tasted good and we're spicy but not too spicy. The service was very good. She refilled my tea twice and gave me a to go tea for the road. I enjoyed talking to the waitress. She was nice and pleasant and did a great job waiting the table.
Very interesting location that combines a gift shop with an eatery. The menu offers some choices different from the usual faire including a French Fry dish that that is topped with cheese and crab meat. Very interesting. They will also make items off menu or adjust dishes as needed for dietary restrictions. Very friendly service.

Not bad, but not great either. Ordered a Rib eye steak, and while it was tender and cooked to the right temp, it was very poorly seasoned. The fish and chips were also underwhelming. The service was good, and the live music enjoyable (they do charge an additional $5 per table on live music nights). Overall, it's just so so and a bit pricy for what you get.

Food was ok. Nothing spectacular. Service was horrible. Burger was priced $12.95 , but the bill said $15.95 . They are trying to be high end . Not even close.
This was our first time eating at the Blue Frog and We will not be returning. We were seated and went over the menus for about 5 minutes when the waitress took our drink order. I asked her what the "Chefs choice starch and vegetable of the day" was and she said she didn't know. She didn't offer to find out, so i asked if i should just expect a surprise to which her reply was a dry laugh. 52 minutes after we placed our order for a Tuscan Chicken and a Blue Cheeseburger, our food finally arrived. In that 52 minutes, our waitress only stopped by once to refill my water. She never offered any reasoning on why it was taking so long and didn't seem to care either. My Tuscan Chicken was so drenched in Dijon mustard to the point that it overpowered everything and i couldn't taste anything else. It was served atop a potato kind of mix between mashed potatoes and a semi thick paste. Next to that was a small green salad mix with a dressing i couldn't identify nor stomach. The Blue cheeseburger was less than impressive as well. The patty seemed to be of the frozen variety with little to no taste. The side was sweet potato fries which were the only saving grace out of everything. After the food arrived, that was the last we saw of our server before she walked out the door, never letting us know she was leaving, didn't bring the bill or check for refills we needed. Eventually, a cook asked us how we were enjoying everything and at that point, I just asked if she could find someone to bring our bill. She advised us that Tina was taking care of us. That was news to us as no one else talked to us up to that point. Eventually Tina came and asked if she could take my plate and I asked for the bill as she did. She went back to the kitchen and brought out other customers food and drinks before ever returning to our table. When she did, she handed me a tablet that showed the bill total and 3 selections for tip amount. I didn't like the 3 options that were pre-programmed for tipping amounts but before i could ask her how to change the amounts, she was gone again, leaving me with a tablet i was unfamiliar with and we never saw her again. We left feeling completely unhappy and unfulfilled and will not be returning to The Blue Frog again. For a lunch that totaled over $31.00, the service and food left everything to be desired.
Service was almost non existent. Sangria was good. Had to wait a long time for appetizer. Eventually I asked if they had any off the menu specials was told what they were but we had waited so long for the appetizers we did not want to stay there all night. They messed up. If they had offered us the specials when we got there, they would have made at least 30 more dollars off us.
I came in and no customers were at counter. Lady behind counter completely ignored us. I'm a disabled vet that just had back surgery. I am standing there using a cane. She took 12 people that came in after us. All I wanted was some fudge. Felt like she viewed me as less than human.
