Food, drinks and service is amazing. Went out on a Saturday night and enjoyed a good time out with my girlfriend and friends. They have karaoke at 9pm, so be prepared to sing your lungs out and have a good time with friends and loved ones. Make sure to try “El Conqui Old Fashioned” 🔥 💯

Love the atmosphere, love the cuisine, and the drinks are amazing! I had an ecuadorian platter mixed with seafood, steak and chicken, it was 🔥 , I see myself coming here on my days off to have some great cocktails and some great ecuadorian food, if you're in the area looking for some good food and some fire cocktails, this is the place to be

Very nice waitress. Clean establishment. I ordered the churrasco Al conquistador. Came with eggs, fries, avacado and rice. I enjoyed it. Also got a mamay shake. I would recommend.

ECUADOR 🇪🇨 Eat the World NYC review: Finally had the chance on a recent chilly evening to stop in for some warming Ecuadorian soup at Broadway mainstay El Conquistador. This stretch just northwest of the busier areas near the Broadway/Roosevelt intersection is much quieter but has always had a small contingent of good food, some at restaurants that are no longer around. ° After my first choice choice caldo de bola was not available on this night, I opted instead for their encebollado de pescado. This fish stew is popular throughout the country, but obviously the best ones are usually found in coastal regions with the freshest supplies of fish. You can also find a mixed version with other seafood, and restaurants that specialize in this dish are open from early morning serving up both from dawn until well past dusk. It was not as flavorful and complex as some other versions, but after dumping in much of the spicy green aji shown in the photo and squeezing in some lime, the temperature starting feeling more manageable. Hearty Ecuadorian soups are so good for this.

The experience I just had here was non-other than excellent. First off the server was kind, she waited on us with patience. The restaurant is clean, and atmosphere is welcoming. I ordered Chicken, Rice, Beans, and tostones. Everything came out fresh, hot, well seasoned, and tasted great. Plus it is reasonably priced. Definitely recommend stopping by!

The food is authentic and delicious. I ordered the Bandeja Montañera to go and it is a large portion. A great bang for your buck! The woman who took our order was also very nice and gave us free sodas with our order! At time of this review, llapingachos are only available on Saturday (not sure if this is a regular thing but I’m looking forward to trying them soon!)

The food was good. I tried the tripe soup and had more vegetables than tripe. We had a Bandeja, and it offered steak, fried pork rinds, rice and beans. Waitress was very nice. The pork was hard could not bite the ends. The steak had great flavor, I imagined eating a rib eye with the flavor they have here, it would be amazing. They provide a decent amount of food. It's a quiet atmosphere throughout the day with a karaoke turnaround.

It was an unexpected stop at the neighborhood. We were doing some business related shopping and wanted to grab something to eat. I’m a fan of Ecuadorian food. We ordered a few items, including the sweet plantains, the Cuban sandwich, the rotisserie chicken, and a fish sandwich. Generally pretty good and quite flavorful. I would like to try the ceviche next time.

I was told it was an ecuadorian restaurant. But they had no Tropical but they had Inca cola. The food was not fresh, El Seco de gallina tasted like they open a can of tomato paste and put it on top of the chicken. Service was horrible. Waste of gas and time, never agian how this place has 4.3 stars it's a surprise, maybe the family is rating them or they don't know what ecuadorian food is. I rather eat from a food truck next time.
