It was the best pizza and their service is great

Ordered online 4 pies and food was ready in just few minutes faster then expected. Everything was done right and food was great and great value. Will be ordering from here again.

The employees are very humble and nice! Excellent food quality. I've always been satisfied with the product they deliver. The delivery guys are respectful and humble as well.

I ordered pick up so I don't know about all these delivery problems but food was delicious hot had no problems there seems like a good place to me.

I ordered a pizza for pick-up, and it was ready within 15 minutes. I got a small pizza with original crust, topped with grilled chicken, mushrooms, black olives, and pineapple - it totally hit the spot. I wasn't a big fan of their garlic sauce - too buttery for my taste. Now, let's talk about Papa Johns garlic knots.. SO FREAKING GOOD. I’m afraid to say they might be the best I’ve ever had.

Ordered papa john for delivery directly on their website. They forgot the soda. The driver said he would go back and get it. within 15 min he returned. Thank you for being honest! Love you guys!

Every word is sufficient, one my favorite places in NY…. But there are some stuff which are bother me, like the prices and the sizes - they are selling “ Epic Stuffed Crust “ in Medium sizes and you are going to be charged for large size and you are going to get a Small size!!!

My food is over an hour late. I still have not received it it is most likely cold. But that is not even the reason as to why I am writing this review. The gentleman answering the phone at 1:30 AM is extremely rude and extremely unprofessional. He claims to be the manager but managers do not speak to customers the way that he is speaking to me. He is yelling at me, he is asking me “what is my problem” and he’s saying “oh my god”. The first time I called him I asked him how far the driver is he said 20 minutes. The second time I called him I asked him to please call the driver so we can figure out how far he is. He hung up on me twice in the middle of me speaking. I called him a third time and I politely asked him multiple times to please stop yelling at me because I am not yelling at him and if he was the manager that is not how Managers speak to customers. So I asked him for his bosses number. And once again he hung up on me. I am still currently waiting on my food that I ordered over an hour ago. Trust me I will be in contact with the real manager or his boss explaining the situation. Do not ever order from this location!

Still waiting for pizza! Ordered pizza through uber eats, 1.5 hours after expected arrival time still no pizza! No response when requesting updates, has said 'will be heading your way' for over 1 hour now. Have resorted to ordering from elsewhere as unsure if this pizza will ever turn up.

Terrible food. Hot, fast, and garbage. The pizza had no taste, the bread was under seasoned and dryer than Popeyes biscuits. Not to mention the wings were not fully cooked and to top it off the blue cheese and garlic sauce were expired. I give this Papa John's experience negative 1 star out of 5. P.s their halloween limited edition jack o'lantern pizza tasted like a cardboard cutout of the box it came in.

Took over an hour and a half to get my food even though we were a 15 minute drive from the place. I only ordered two things. We called a couple times and he just kept repeating "my driver is on his way" like a freaking robot. I definitely dont recommend at all, the service sucks!!!

This is my story on this Papa John's pizzeria. I order a cheese # 10 pizza, the women works at the cashier was very nasty , unfriendly at first when I say hi she didn't even say hi back with a face attitude, it was almost $10. they took so long to get it ready when I open the box at home guess what I found cockroach cooked with pizza. I wouldn’t recommend ordering from here. This location is the worst ever. I’ve always loved Papa John’s but unfortunately this is the one close to my house. I already gave them lots of opportunities, once I had to go and get my own pizza I ordered for delivery because it took 1 1/2 hour and no one answered the phone. Last time also took more than an hour and thats it. Order for PICK UP it’s the only way with them.

2h10 to deliver the order, the received drink is not the ordered one, the deliveryman is close to insult us because we took 1 min 30 to go downstairs of the hotel (we did not hope any more the order and no information on the position of the deliveryman), litteraly no shame. The pizzas are decent, I guess. Avoid this one at all cost.

Ordered online for 100 dollar food. They said they delivered it THREE HOURS later but they never did. I haven’t got my order and whenever I call, they say they know nothing about the delivery. The place should close down.

Horrible! Last week we order and the driver took the elevator up to my apt. This week, the driver will not come upstairs for safety (covid) reasons. No one is in the lobby. ordered from uber eats ordered 2 gluten-free pizza and 24 piece wings and a couple dipping sauce when the driver got here she only gave me the 2 pizza and dipping sauce when i asked her about the wing she said the store never gave it to her. i called the store three times to ask about the order and was yelled at through the phone when I asked about it so i told them that it should be packed together and nothing should of been missing he hung up on me when i said worst place and worst manager ever.

This franchise location is failing and it’s failing hard. I walked in with a coupon for the carryout special. The coupon was not expired but when presented, the manager, who was the only person in the store, refused to honor it because he claimed, “That isn’t the price anymore.” When I pressed him that the coupon wasn’t expired he changed his story to, “This coupon is for online orders only.” When I demanded that he show where on the flyer it said online orders only, I was met with silence. If the franchise owner doesn’t like the prices that the home office sets, he needs to take it up with the home office, not refuse to honor coupons. This location needs to hurry up and go out of business so that hopefully something better can replace it because it would be hard for it to get any worse. After this experience, I’m starting to wonder if maybe I dodged a food poisoning bullet. If someone is willing to nickel and dime their customers over a coupon in an empty pizza takeout joint, who know whether or not their ingredients are past expiration?

Ordered pizza at 11:30, and were told we could expect it 30 minutes later. After 45 minutes, we called and they said it would show up in 10 minutes. 15 minutes later, after no pizza, we called again; they said they would give us free chicken wings and that they would be there in another 5 minutes. We wait another 30 minutes. They keep saying they're close by. Finally, 2 hours after ordering, our pizza is delivered. The wings were just ok.

This is 3rd time my pizza is late more than one hour to be delivered i called tonight 2 times to ask them to call driver and they tell me ok 5 to.7 min. It is same story all the time I been ordering for 10 years with same location never had problem with delivery between 25 and 35 minutes always since we are 5 min away from each other but this year is horrible i really dont kpw if owner changed of this location but i told my self thats it i will not order from this location no more. We really like papa johns pizza and thats the only reason we stick with them but lately they are iresponsible and slow delivery. Last time driver argued with me saying he couldnt find parking ok i know NY is big hassle to find parking but at least call me amd let me know i could always run outside and get it from the driver. So i am very disapointed and i will likely never order from here again. Only giving 1 star because I have to. This place is a disaster. Placed an order only to find out after about 30-40 minutes the order never got placed in the first place. Almost an hour wasted. Please save yourself the hassle, time and energy., definitely not worth the stress! This place is always backed up for some reason. Be prepared to receive your order minimum 1 hour or more. After these series of incidents concerning this location, I’m making a switch to a different pizza place. This is my last experience with them.

Came to pick up an order around 11pm and saw one of the employees making himself a pizza and touching all the toppings with no gloves on. Told the manager that he shouldn’t be doing that because everyone who orders eats from that and he said it’s okay we don’t need to wear gloves??? Since when is it okay to wear no gloves when handling food. The cross eyed employee had his hands wrist deep in the shredded chicken he was grabbing. DISGUSTING!

I was really disappointed with this order. The garlic sauce looked spoiled, the pizza arrived cold and all over the box, and there was a whole soggy pepper inside that I didn’t order. It wasn’t even cut or labeled, so I wasn’t sure if it was part of the meal. Overall, very poor presentation and quality.

Once in a blue moon I will have the craving for fast food pizza not frozen pizza not pizzeria pizza but fast food pizza. So I walk in and I asked what's the special of the week and the lady ignores me keeps talking to some somebody and throws a flyer on me. At that point I turned around and left. I don't understand how retail businesses expect to survive when their customer service is horrible I mean I'm doing them a favor by buying their crappy food at least they could be or give me a smile but no so I left and I went to a real pizzeria and had some real pizza and that's what I recommend you do. Try Portobello in Astoria.

I ordered through UberEats and this location opted to not be tracked on the app. After 30 minutes of the estimated delivery time, I gave them a call and was told that my order is on the way. I waited over an hour. Still nothing. After a total of TWO hours of waiting, I get a notification from UberEats thanking me for my order... that I never received. Apparently Papa Johns cancelled my order without notifying me. They didn't even ATTEMPT to contact me. Never ordering from this place again. Nonexistent customer service. Save yourself the time and order elsewhere.

Never ordering from this location again. This “contact free delivery” is disgusting. At peak Covid, I get it - but places that delivered secured the food in containers so mice, rats and cockroaches couldn’t get into the food. I haven’t ordered from Papa Johns in probably 6 or 7 years. Today I did. They left on the floor of my apt building. When I asked the driver (who was just walking away from my door) why he left my food on the ground, he said “people like it this way”. I called the manager and she defended him saying he’s been a driver for 13 years. I’m sorry, I’m unfortunately done with NYC food delivery. Ever since Covid about 75% of any delivery I order is messed up and it’s often delivery people who don’t even want to enter my building. I went from tipping 30%, to now I’m routinely asking for tip refunds because of behavior. I stopped using Door Dash because I had too many completely drunk delivery people show up at my door with half my food missing. What gets me about Papa Johns is, it’s two blocks away! And the delivery driver works DIRECTLY with Papa Johns. So if their own paid employees are behaving like this, and don’t care, then I’m officially done. The great aspect of NYC has always been all the exotic take out foods available for delivery (and yes, even chain stores). But I guess everyone is “quietly quitting” because even delivery drivers want to be CEOs. It just disgusts me wanting tips but leaving people’s food on trafficked floors. It’s just disgusting. And they LIVE HERE. Literally my preference was Dominos and I was so tempted to order from them today but almost every day delivery had been a problem since Covid. Welp, Papa Johns done messed up.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE! My friend and I ordered a pizza, total was $25. What was delivered was what appeared to be frozen pizza from a grocery store. It was cold and inedible. The garlic sauce looked like melted butter. When I called, there was no apology, all they told me was "It's the fault of the uber driver, because he didn't have a bag so that's why the pizza is cold". They told me to take it up with UberEats ,but somehow I'm doubtful anyone will refund me the money. Save your money and DO NOT order from this place.

This is the worst pizza place I’ve ever been. The customer service was the worst as well. Pizza is supposed to come with chili or garlic powder if customers request it. However, Don’t ever asked for it at this place. They will literally charge you for it. The cashier or manager said it comes with a pack of garlic powder and chili powder, but it was not with my order. So, when I ask for it, the cashier or manager literally threw it out to me. They told me the driver is on their way. 50+mins later I called again to be rudely yelled at by the guy on the phone. I get if you’re busy but, they need to learn how to treat a customer. I have ordered a pizza to get delivered 50 mn max later. An hour afterwards, still didn’t get anything. I went back on Uber, and got the phone number of this Papa John’s. And woahhhh, it was such a disaster as an experience with them. The different guys I had on the phone were rude, unsympathetic, they just told me « they didn’t have time » to deliver the pizza and that I would wait for long again 😞. I told them it was not the behaviour customers should face, and that they should have contacted me instead of letting me wait just for nothing. Restaurants can contact customers through the Uber app, this Papa John’s chose not to. I should have read the previous reviews, they are all bad! And they just don’t care, they just keep acting like bad guys with customers. I think I’m gonna write to the big boss, to know why he keeps those stupids guys as employees.

I ordered pizza without any bacon and they added bacon. When i called the restaurant they said to take it up with Uber and refused to help me. Further, their delivery man was not wearing a mask and did not follow any of the instructions that I added on the Uber app. Do not order from this establishment. It has horrid customer service and I am thoroughly disgusted by their behavior.

I ordered a large thin crust 5 topping pizza and ordered a spicy garlic sauce with it. The spicy garlic sauce was missing in the delivery. I called the restaurant to inform them about it. The store manager said he will bring it in 30 minutes (by which time the pizza would have been cold already). So I asked him if he can just return the money via store credit, which he refused saying its not possible as I paid through credit card. I could hear his frustration on the phone. Then he said he will ask the delivery guy to bring back the $1 to me in 15 minutes. I again suggested about store credit as I have an account with Papa Johns. He repeated the same thing about bringing the $1 back in 15 minutes and hung up the call on me. Its been 2 hours since then. No one came. Did I tip the driver to miss an important part of the order? It is not about the $1, its about getting the order right. Because stores are quick to point out when customers don't tip, but they don't care about customer service so whats the point of this even?

Unprofessional and lacks basic customer service skills. Their pizza even tastes different compared to different Papa John’s locations. The girl that answers the phone will yell at you for asking where your order is at. I never even received my pizza (2+ hour wait, no exaggeration). I only learned that I wouldn’t be getting it when a random number called me to tell me that the driver delivered my pizza to the adjacent building instead. That in itself is a privacy concern as customer information is printed on the box (which is how they got my number). Complained to corporate but a discount won’t entice me from supporting this joke of a business. They don’t practice good hygiene skills (no gloves/masks) and overall this franchise is a joke.
