Tasted fresh and the chipotle honey chicken had a nice kick to it. I had a big bowl and it was a big portion for $17. Perfect after a nice gym session. Must try.

I love hot peppers!!! It is so amazing to have a "halal version of Chipotle" on Steinway!! The food is sooo good!! I ordered a salad bowl with chipotle honey chicken and lots of toppings. Very affordable for the amount of food you get. I've been to this place many times already and each time have never left disappointed. The staff are very accomodating and the inside is very clean with good seating. Iwould highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great taco bowl type place with halal options.

I had lunch at Hot Peppers and had a fantastic time. When you take a bite, everything balances out since the servers are so courteous and generous with the quantities. 100% halal and fresh! Every protein was well-seasoned and flavorful, and their sauces are a must-try. The majority of the toppings were sweet and spicy! It was a reasonable price. The fresh beverages on the side are a perk, and their jarritos are delicious.

Hot Peppers was always a go to in Springfield and now a second location is closer to home. As soon as I heard about the opening I was super excited! I haven’t had Chipotle or Qdoba in years all thanks to Hot Peppers. The servers are super nice and generous with the portions, everything balances out when you take a bite. 100% halal and fresh! Every protein was nicely seasoned and had a lot of flavor and their sauces are a must. The hard shelled tacos didn’t break into a million pieces after one bite so that was a plus! Most of the toppings had a nice sweetness and heat to it! They carry burritos, tacos, nachos. bowls and quesadillas.The homemade drinks on the side are a plus and they also carry Jarritos. After trying everything on the menu I can confidently say that everything is of absolute high-quality. The menu options are a tad difficult to read but soon they’ll have it above the serving station.

the staff is SO welcoming and helpful. this was my first time here and i am so glad i stopped and got a burrito bowl! everything was cooked great. they even let my boyfriend sample their chipotle chicken (which was very good) and gave us free lemonades. we will absolutely be coming back! highly recommend :)

Prices are much better than Chipotle and it’s just as tasty. But in a different way and halal for our Muslim brothers and sisters. The sauce options and the fact they don’t charge for guac or queso is a plus.

The portion in my grilled chicken burrito was hefty and worth the meal alone. I wasn't too sold on the taste, I got a hint of halal flavors but I will try again soon.

Ordering from them online is horrible. They put too little and cost more and they end up not including all of the things i ordered. Old review:Exceptional , 10/10. Healthy and delicious, affordable, excellent customer service, halal option. And on top of that you get rewards.

Racist and Offensive Behavior by Staff – Very Disappointing I’m extremely disappointed with our recent experience at Hot Peppers. As regular Indian customers living in the U.S. for years, we’ve never faced such disrespect in any restaurant — until now. During our visit, the staff working the night shift (from Haryana, India) made offensive and inappropriate remarks. He wrongly assumed we were from Pakistan and started provoking us with unnecessary comments. He kept insisting that we “admit” we were from Pakistan, even after we clearly said we were Indian. To make things worse, he demanded that we say “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Jai Hind” to “prove” that we’re Indian. This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional — it’s racist, humiliating, and completely unacceptable. We urge the management to take strict action against this staff member before more customers are treated this way.

Extremely Disappointed – Portions Shrinking Every Time I’ve been a loyal customer at Hottpepper for a long time, always ordering the burrito bowl. It used to be a great value—generous portions, fresh ingredients, and always satisfying. But lately, things have really gone downhill. It seems like they’re constantly hiring new staff, and every time a new person makes my bowl, the portion gets smaller and smaller. This last visit was the worst yet. I had to buy two bowls just to make it feel like the one I used to get. Absolutely ridiculous. What happened to consistency? If you’re going to raise prices or change staff, at least train them to portion properly. I left feeling ripped off, not full. Sadly, unless things change, I won’t be coming back. Disappointed doesn’t even begin to cover it.

Overall, terrible experience. Went to this place at 9:30, I heard the worker saying out loud “I hate when people come in right before closing time” they close at 10 for reference. The same worker then proceeds to try and make my two bowls at the same time and add random toppings that I did not ask for him to add. He asks me what I want and then proceeds to not let me finish speaking. Packed out my order and threw it to the cashier and walked away. Customer service could really not be any worse. I have even ordered food through this place on Uber and they ALWAYS add the wrong toppings. They really don’t care.

The worst food I’ve ever had and I’m not even picky. The workers don’t even know what they’re doing, the food is bland. I had to repeat myself three or four times for them to listen to me. They prefer to talk to each other rather than take orders. Everything just straight up bland. I’d rather get chipotle

Ordered on Jan 20 at 9 pm for pickup. I ordered two bowls: one honey chicken and one with steak. When I got home, the two bowls were completely mixed up. The bowl that was Made with chicken had steak in instead, it was a complete mess because my friend has so many food sensitivity and could not eat their food. The steak bowl was made like the chicken except it didn’t even have the proper requests. DO NOT ORDER FOR PICKUP. I am certain they are just throwing random food together and getting away with mo quality control. Also the store closes at 11 and I called several times around 10 pm and no answer at all. Honestly so disappointed in this service. I do not recommend and please do not ever go for pickup or delivery because your order will be wrong. Also the food came looking so disgusting
