The Wild Goose Woodside Reviews
The bartender Stacey was such a delight. Great atmosphere, with billiards, darts, a stage for performances and even a fireplace.
One of my favourite watering holes in New York. The espresso martinis here are fire and the owner Jamie was super cool and made one heck of a drink. Will definitely visit again the next time I am in town.

I had a great time at this spot that's a well kept hidden jewel. Had a nice gin & tonic, I enjoyed listening to their mixed music of classic rock & even Spanish rock. I met some very friendly locals, & the prices on the cocktails were good. Will be back again for sure!!
Had a brilliant night here last night, good drinks and friendly bar staff. Lovely atmosphere apart from the family of irish gypsies that were constantly yelling in what I presume is some dialect of an early primative celtic language, it was difficult to decipher but i believe they were saying "up degans"??? I am not sure of the context but i believe it was some form of a battle cry, similar to how the maori people perform the 'haka' before going into battle. Other than that i highly enjoyed my visit and i hope to be back soon. Kudos to the bartender Jensen who was excellent all night.
Love this bar-heart and soul. Great bunch of lads!
The best Irish bar in Queens. You are sure to have a good night if you head in here for a drink. Great service from Eoiny and Mary. One of the co-owners Dobbie made a great expresso martini and I got to hear all about his famous uncle who played professional Irish soccer. Don’t come to Queens and not visit this bar!!!
I visited this bar in Woodside on Monday November 28th…during happy hour 1-7pm! From the low priced excellent Guinness to the friendly and professional bartender, this bar exceeded all others in the area. The bartender was attentive, and she interacted well with customers, creating a friendly environment. I unreservedly would recommend this establishment!
This place was absolutely awesome. The staff were amazing and the drinks were incredible. If your in town and you want to party this is the place to be. And Jayson the bartender is the best Bartender this side of Hudson, the guys a legend 🤘🏼
Thanksgiving Eve was truly a night to remember at The Wild Goose. Just Wow! One week on and I am still not over it ! Owenie and the rest of the bartenders were all outstanding as they always are … but I must mention the tall dark and handsome stud that worked so hard behind the bar all night long. I believe his name was Declan. Dee Kay they were calling him. Just wow! I will be back as long as he is around. Excellent and a credit to your establishment. Thank you team wild goose for yet another great night. PS. The Christmas decor is outstanding. The best year yet in my opinion.
Mary is the best craic and best bartender of all time, and she pours a mean pint of Guinness. I think I love her🤙🤙 love the goose
I’m a big fan of this bar. I come here 3 to 5 times a year. All the bartenders are great especially the blonde lady, she is always kind and attentive. The other bartenders are also very friendly. The prices are fair and the majority of the regulars are cool and welcoming. I would recommend this place, especially for karaoke nights.
Wow, did you know Britney Spears Outrageous music video was filmed here… Big fan the bouncer was so sound Darcy, looks cross but actually knows the owner so let us in free of charge !!! Bartender was a bit too chatty & kept talking about raccoons and that one time he prank called someone ? All good just didn’t really know all these characters in his story. Girl bartender was brilliant though suprisingly best espresso martini I’ve had in the city. Weird accent though.
Gem of a place! Much love from your friends in Pittsburgh
Hi everyone, I love Mary she created a vibe like nothing I’ve ever experienced, her vibe is infectious and I can’t stop smiling
Great atmosphere, staff and tvs all around you to watch sport. Hoping to watch the US open here next week before I go out to it.
Just recovering from thanks giving eve, and boy oh boy was that one hell of a ride. As my first time in Queens I was pleasantly surprised, from the great selection of drinks, the fantastic Irish musicians and the brilliant bartenders I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Those guys sure do know how to throw a heck of a party. Irish, eh? Looking forward to the next time I’m back and hopefully the tall dark haired bartender will be there 🙌😍
We had a lot of fun this night at Wild Goose. I live in the neighborhood and I don’t go out for drinks often. A few weeks ago, my partner and I stopped by on a Thursday night. We had so much fun and felt so welcomed by Shirley. Since then, when I decided to to treat myself to a drink or a night out, I’ve frequented the Wild Goose and Shirley. I know most people only leave reviews when something’s gone wrong, but I wanted to be someone who can point towards some really great vibes your establishment provides. Thanks so much and I’ll see ya in a couple of weeks.
Absolutely loved this place. Always a warm welcome and ideal place to watch a game on the big screen. Always great live music also. Bar tender was called Only and he was excellent. Other bartender with the beard seemed quiet. I’ll definitely be back!
Wow! What an experience I had at this quintessential American Irish bar. This establishment can only be described as a home away from home for many and all. Surely and Owenie attended to me and they are top notch. DJ Benny was excellent and very welcoming when we wanted to request our own songs. There was one other staff member there but we did not interact with him as much as Surely and Owenie. Maybe he was having a bad day. I’ll definitely be back!

I'll just say up front I've never had the food because it doesn't seem like the kind of place that would have good food. But, your taste may not be mine. Taps and bottles are relatively static. Dogfish head on tap is the headliner. Mostly standard. Billiards, darts, live music often. Tvs for sports. If you're in the area, it's worth stopping in to see if it's for you.
Only way to get decent service is if you're a regular or if you're besties with the bartender. Literally have to raise you're hand to get the bartender away from her corner regulars . The music choices could be better.
