Jaffa Joint Wylie Reviews
Omg this place is soooooo good. Their cheesy cheesesteak is the best cheesesteak in DFW for sure, probably the best one I’ve had anywhere. Fries are good, lots of sauce options, friendly staff, and plenty of seating. Very affordable prices too.
This came across my fb feed and we chose to give it a try. We were PLESANTLY surprised! The food tasted even better than it looked...that Philly is the business! My wife and I have both had sleeve surgery so 1 was more than enough for us. But we got the 2 for 16 special...the fish was great as well and the fries were fresh, hot, and crispy. We going back there for dinner!
Amazing! Service was great, the food was superb, and the sports aesthetic was a nice touch. There are some options from the soda machine that need fixing, but other than that, everything was top-notch.
Walking in this greasy spoon delivers. I search out places like this for a reason. Sole lady took my order and cooked what made it even more special. I ate a Philly and my wife had a gyro. If we are in the area we will skip all the “classy” joints and head here
Me my friends and my mom went first time to check out Jaffar joint in Wylie and ordered the combo platter of grilled items and Philly cheese Steak sandwiches. The food was amazingly delicious and the lady working there was so polite she even offered my mom some french fries on the house. I would definitely recommend the place.
We had dinner here and it was a great experience to say the least. The food was fresh, delicious, and well prepared. The service was equally good. They had some of the best falafels I’ve had in the DFW area and I’m just sad that I didn’t discover them sooner.
Absolutely loved my visit! The Moroccan tea was incredible—perfectly spiced, sweet, and soothing. It’s a must-try! I also had the lentil soup, which was hearty, flavorful, and comforting. The chicken shawarma was delicious—tender, well-seasoned, and served with fresh sides. Great food, warm service, and a cozy atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back!
The owner is very friendly and the food is great! Beef kebab is really good and the chicken kebab is delicious with a little kick! Chicken shawarma is tender and juicy with a garlic sauce on the side. The hummus was obviously not from canned chick peas. The bread is hot and fresh. The rice is perfect. Definitely recommended.
Walking into this place felt like stepping into someone’s home. The warmth, the kindness, and the way they treated us with genuine care made the experience unforgettable. You do not often come across that kind of hospitality. It was truly something special. As for the food, it was absolutely impeccable. I am an extremely picky eater, but every bite was made with such love and intention that I could not stop eating. My only regret was getting full too quickly. I had the leftovers for dinner—cold—and they were still just as delicious. That alone speaks volumes. Their menu offers a fantastic variety, everything is made fresh on the spot, and the prices are very affordable. If you are thinking about trying something new or are unsure what to expect, I highly encourage you to go. It is comforting, flavorful, and made with heart. Ten out of ten. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone.
This is the best Philly meat I have had in Texas! HANDS DOWN! We got the cheesy Philly so it had LOTS of their AMAZING queso. The fries were perfectly crispy and were so good dipped in the queso. Also, they have like 5-6 different homemade sauces and all of them are phenomenal! We will 100% be returning!
We ordered takeout tonight mainly because I was really in the mood for queso fries, but they also make really good burgers! We both ordered the Rudy burger which comes with jalapeños, grilled onions, and mushrooms. They were perfect and just what I’d been craving! The burgers are cooked about medium, but not overdone. But I absolutely love the queso fries. The queso is queso-y and the fries are not too thin and not too thick, some are a bit undercooked but for the most part cooked perfectly. I’ve only eaten here in person once because it’s not the most inviting dining area, but for takeout, this is 10/10. I’ve seen some of the reviews regarding the cheesesteaks and I’d just say that you’re ordering cheesesteaks in downtown Wylie, TX. You get what you get. The burgers and the queso fries are delicious 🤷🏻♀️ Never had to wait more than 20 minutes from the time the order was placed. I always pickup togo myself and don’t rely on delivery services. Always good food!
Only reason I’m giving two stars, is because I’ve yet to try the food & at least it smells decent… However, I felt a sudden urge to write this review upon getting back in my truck after grabbing my carry-out order. So this obviously isn’t the “cheesesteak-house” anymore, but I figured what the hell… I’ll give it a shot. Normally I’d never, EVER, eat Middle-Eastern food of any kind, at least not intentionally lol. I guess the name should’ve been a hint… BUT, it’s been a long day & I wanted a cheesesteak!! I walked in at 8:15 PM, there was nobody at all inside of the restaurant… apart from, the lady cooking my cheesesteak. She was on the phone with one hand & boxing up my sandwich with the other. Not a, “hey welcome in, hi how are you, get the heck outta here”, not a darn tootin’ single word… My sandwich meal, with fries and a drink (that I’m just now realizing I didn’t get, because I was never handed a cup to do so) was, $15.13 total. I handed the lady two $10-bills & as she started to get my change together, (while still on her important phone call) I told her not to worry about it and to have a great night, that I appreciated the meal. Again… not a single word. Just put my money in the register and turned around & walked away, chattin’ it up!! — Like I said… I should’ve taken the hint upon seeing the name of the place. Unless this is the best cheesesteak I’ve ever had in my life, I will NOT be coming back to give these folks ANY more of my money.
First time visiting location Atmosphere is not great, bathroom was extremely dirty , too bad I ordered my lunch b4 using their facilities, other wise I would have left, cashier was friendly for the most part , kept everything short , food wise …cheesesteak was mid , fries basic , wasn't impressed, there are many cheesesteak chaines way better. Maybe I'll try different location , this could be a miss or hit, who's knows idk🤷🏿♂️
Honestly. Just no. It's a good try but I would not recommend it. I've had real Philly cheese steaks and this was not it. Dry meat, lacking cheese, lacking the onions and peppers. The queso was super runny. Like they added water to make more of it. Pro tip: just get yourself some canned Rico brand cheese . Best cheese hands down. The fries were eh. Just normal fries. The chicken nuggets for my kids were overcooked and hard to eat. My 1 year old had a tough time with them. The salsa was a little too salty. The total for this meal was a little over 43 dollars. Absolutely not worth the price. We had leftovers we did not take with us.. I'll stick to the cheese steak place in Allen from now on. Also, editing: they have no baby changing table in the women's bathroom. So I had to change my infant in my car.
The food at this restaurant just was not good, me and my wife had old lettuce that was turning brown, the sandwiches we had was not good, as pictured the okra was just disgusting I threw it away, it was overcooked and the breading never made it on the okra , the restaurant had nets over by the soda fountain, will not go back to this restaurant, enter at your own risk, I told my wife not one customer was in the restaurant, I was the only one, my wife says you should go to another restaurant cause its always a bad sign when its no one in your restaurant and it was around lunch time, I should've listened Follow me on Instagram docccwayne_reviews
Sent my husband up for dinner as we love cheesesteaks and never had an issue. Spent $50, tipped well, just to come home and see a underwhelming $9-$10 sandwich. Called and spoke to someone. They said this is the same amount of meat they always use. Offered to "make more meat" if I wanted to drive back there. I've never been able to see through the bottom of my sandwich or close it like a peanut butter sandwich flush. In this economy, I'll take myself to subway which I don't even like because they'd fill a sandwich up. Unfortunate to lose customers but our family won't be spending money there anymore. I'm supposed to tip on the screen when I pay before I even know if the service is good or food is right.
