Reminds my of a place in Mexico where my wife's family lives called El Pollo Feliz. I never go to Ojinaga without eating there. This place has GREAT Pollo Asado. Good prices too. The only problem is that they are TOO busy.

The chicken is out of this world! I believe some call it crack chicken. Lol. I have it once a week. A friend has me pick up for them & deliver to their side of town. The salsa, get EXTRA! For those with a weak spicy palate, the salsa may be much , but if you like it hot, go for it.

There chicken is awesome and always very fresh. Me and my family drive down from San Antonio cause we just love the pollo asado from your restaurant. Today was a first for me ,but my chicken was a little over cooked and dry, but I dipped that chicken in that hot sauce and made it work. To the restaurant dont let your chicken over cook. The chicken is always juicy, not burnt, just perfect!! Sides are good and quantities are decent. Good prices. I love the fact that they open at 12 pm but I can call at 11 and they answer the phone, let me place an order and then pick it up when they're open. Staff is also friendly. Need a plus ? I am relatively new to Texas and Corpus Christi coming from Seattle. Today, I had an absolutely delicious meal from this restaurant. The plate I ordered for $10 bucks came with a large portion of Smokey grilled chicken, cooked perfectly. Spanish rice made to perfection, beans and homemade tortillas, with grilled peppers and onion, lime and salsa all on the side. It was amazing. The gentleman was professional and the place was clean. The chicken is very good. Every now and then we get a couple pieces that are overcooked, but the flavor makes it ok. For a whole chicken and the sides at $19 this makes it a great deal.

Whenever we have family a different amount of town, we like to go pick it up and swing over to eat at the park on Ocean. The food is consistently good! I especially love the beans…so good! This was all around a great dish with zero complaints on the Chicken, Rice or Charro Beans. I didnt really care for the Salsa, the Onion, it was a bit undercooked but it all still made some really good tacos with leftovers as well.

This is a true hidden gem! Fantastic chicken with a smoke yet grilled flavor. Beans and rice were delicious. This was a gem of a find. The chicken was exceptional, the beans were fantastic, and the rice was terrific. I don't know how they prep their chicken, but each bite of chicken is juicy, packed with flavor, and char grilled to perfection. We fed a family of 4 with one whole chicken dinner for $15. Unassuming place but food is really good, kids wanted fried chicken but I wanted grilled, so dad wins. Their rice is top notch, the charro beans were ok, weren't spicy at all but I understand that way they do appeal to most people that don't eat spicy food.

I love this place. The best charros beans in Corpus if you ask me. The only things is that the breast can be dry at times. That can be solved easily busy using a thermometer to check it. They probably go old school and go by feel. A warning: the Serrano pepper they give you is hot! The price you see is the price you pay. Tax is included. It's a take out place but they do have seats but it's best if you're eating solo. It's bar like seating.

This place is definitely worth checking out. The chicken is amazing lots of flavor great price. Now the reason I had to knock it to 4 stars was the rice. Was mushy and honestly felt like it came out of a bag. If you sit and eat there it’s all like a bench table along the wall. Small for eating in but it works. I would like to see the cheap plexiglass divider removed.

Super dry , definitely over cooked and burnt, Pieces so small, it looked more like a pigeon to me, and it was cut up so weird, there was a piece with only the ribs and hardly any meat.,..I do not recommend, I've been there twice and both times the chicken is burnt and dry.....
