The food is always delicious! Made fresh every day, including all of their dressings, soups, and fun recipes! Recently, I had a mixup with an order which they immediately rectified and refund my purchase! A definite must in the Albany area!
I love bountiful bread. Starting with the great way the front end is organized for ordering. The lady serving us was super nice and funny. The food uniformly delicious.
The food is excellent, and the staff has always been very friendly, quick, and conversational. I have been there many times over the last few years, and it is consistently good. Also a great local option for business catering. I recently had an office meeting lunch catered with Bountiful Bread(also did last year), and they did an absolutely amazing job. Doug(Catering Manager) goes above and beyond for customers, and is so easy to work with. I would recommend considering them for everyday breakfast/lunch options as well as catering. The hot menu catered items (chicken parm, ziti) were excellent. Thank you Bountiful Bread and team!
I've been getting the soups here for lunch for years and they have been consistently delicious. Great variety too. I have also enjoyed the toasted panzanella sandwich on occasion. Highly recommend if you're a healthy soup lover !
My daughter was getting married and we ordered a breakfast platter, seasonal fruit platter, yogurt and bagels. They set us up with plates, bowls, spoons, forks, and knives, napkins and serving utensils We also got butter and cream cheese. I have never had a company like this where I live provided everything I would need or antiseptic what I would need. Bountiful Breads was the easiest place I have ever ordered where the employees were extremely helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend them for anyone in need of catering.
Honestly, it kind of bums me out seeing everyone flock to Uncommon Grounds next door for their puffy, average bagels while this place sits half-empty. So I’ve started coming back here more often. The food's very good—nothing fancy, but solid. Coffee is pretty good. My only real gripe is that sometimes the bread that comes with soup is too hard. Other than that, clean and friendly, no complaints.
Under the weather and need soup so i was able to search this place. The soup and sandwich combo is a good deal. Soup is delicious and the sandwich is great! Tasty and not dry. It has mozarella and tomato makes it delicious. The cashier is friendly. I dd not wait too long for them to make my order. I will surely come back here
I went at the start of the day. Pleasant staff. I enjoyed how they interacted with each other. Felt very positive. Food was delicious, looked smelled and tasted so good! They have GF baked good, but all their delicious bread had gluten. I ate it anyway. No regrets!! I hot the South of the border sandwich, a massive cherry danish(because why not) that I did share and a homemade whoopie pie(not pictured). Those are my weakness. Say whoopie pie and I'm there!
First time there, the way to order was very convenient, food was done pretty quick. Had a steak and egg omelet witch was really good, the bread was awesome. only complaint I have is that the plates that they use were very small I didn't feel like I had much room for anything and made every thing feel really tight. I had to put my bread on a napkin on the table. Trying to make it look like you have more food then what you really do not a big deal, if the food is good and you do have good food. Need to get larger plates.
Soup and sandwiches for us. Jamaican jerk soup was bountiful pun intended with chicken beans celery. Very flavorful too. Ham & cheese was nothing really to write home about. Cranberry chicken sandwich was Right amount of condiments and the grilled sandwich tasted amazing. Linzer tart was supposed to be icing for the brunch was kind of soggy. All in all a bit underwhelming…..
EDIT: Although I had the issue described below I was incredibly impressed with the integrity of this business - they made it right. They refunded the cost of my salad, and went the extra mile to send me a gift card so we could both try again. In a day were customer service is virtually non existent, this is everything. Bountiful Bread, I thank you! Got a Cobb salad and for $17 I expect more than just a tiny bowl filled with excess tomato and cucumber. Very disappointed, and I feel ripped off and hungry. This place used to be great and had phenomenal salads, but now not so much. The quality and care is severely lacking.
I’m a frequent customer of bountiful bread. This is the second time I’ve picked up an order and returned to work to have things missing. Today I was given no salad dressing for my order which ultimately makes my meal inedible until I can get home and get some. And the chicken and rice soup I ordered today had no rice and was basically just meat. The attention to detail has really gone down which is unfortunate since I enjoy the soup and salad combo. I called to notify an employee today of this error and she said to me “I’ll notify our manager thanks” and hung up. Not impressed at all, especially for a $20 lunch combo.
This was a nice place to stop off for lunch. We took home some rolls that were delicious and we stayed for lunch as well. The sandwich was alright but I think it just wasn't to my taste. The pasta salad was really good and also the tomato pesto soup. I'll definitely come back and try another order!
Sadly the sandwich I get every time I come has changed. The bread changes. Smaller and stale. Not like their old baguettes that were large and soft. Three slices of tomato and some mozzarella for $15. I paid $2 for prosciutto which they didn’t add which was a bummer. I did to go so I didn’t notice until I got to my office. Will not return. Quality went WAY down
I've been going to Bountiful Bread for years and always loved it! But have been disappointed in the past few months. Prices have gone up but quality has gone down. Purchased a Caesar salad with chicken (see photos) and charging $14 for a salad that doesn't even fill the container and has brown lettuce. Also purchased a chicken pesto sandwich recently and noticed a premade one was taken out of the fridge. I requested it to be grilled but it was still cold when I bit into it! I understand refrigerating for efficiency, but a grilled sandwich shouldn't be cold.
Another disgusting capital area eatery. Why are you serving sad, wilted, improperly washed lettuce? Nasty. Easily the worst salad I’ve had in NY. Their house dressing is a thick gloopy nightmare, not a dressing. The chicken that’s included is 3 measly, rubbery, dry, nearly frozen nubs. I’d rather chew on a catheter bag. Now, I don’t normally complain about a piece of bread, but seeing as how this is “bountiful bread”, it should be mentioned. And wow, the baguette was day old, stale, and tasteless. So maybe their supply is not bountiful enough, or even well made. Whoever managed today 2/10/26 should be ashamed. I wish I could have my money back. Thanks for reading.
Love love love the tomato pesto soup and the rocky mountain muffins. They used to be worth a trip out to Stuyvesant plaza just to get some. Unfortunately, they've been hit hard by inflation. While sick at home and craving their soup badly a few years ago, I planned an order of it on door dash until I was sticker shocked to see that one bowl of soup costs nearly as much as a sit down meal! Out of curiosity, I looked at the menu prices for the fine dining, full service restaurant next door to them and found the pricing to be nearly the same as Bountiful Bread, where you have to order, pick up your food and bus your own table for the same cost. I would definitely return if the prices could be more reasonable!
I ordered 2 6" cakes: 1 lemon, and 1 strawberry and cream. Both were VERY disappointing. About 75% of each cake was a heavy frosting. There was very little filling and it was only in the center of the cakes (rather than spread across each layer). And neither cake had much taste due, I think, to the overpowering sweetness of the frosting. I will not order from this bakery again.
Unfortunately was so disappointed. Spent 50 dollars on avacado toast, power bowl and soup. Soup was room temp, the power bowl everything on it was ice cold including the cold eggs. The beans and corn seemed like they were just straight out of a can. The avacado did not seem like real fresh avacado and was spread in a thin paste
I typically don’t go out of my way to write bad reviews, but I ordered a caesar salad wrap, with chicken. Got a grilled chicken wrap with about 3 pieces of lettuce throughout the whole thing. Point being it needs more lettuce and less chicken. Entire wrap was smaller than my fists and it was $16.
Went to the bountiful bread location in Stuyvesant plaza just to get tomato soup for dinner. I showed up 20 minutes prior to closing and was told that the soup was put away for the night. I guess the full menu isn’t available if they are closing soon.
