First time visiting this franchise in South Florida. The restaurant was clean and offers and very nice and welcoming environment. Our waiting time was minimal. A little less than 30 minutes. When we arrived we were assisted by the manager who was very professional. All the staff seem very nice. The host walked us to our table where we also received paper menus. Phenomenal digital menu, photos and lots of choices that include a variety of pancakes, waffles, eggs, lunch menu including a great menu for elderly and also kids. We ordered the twofortwofortwo and the skillet with sunny side eggs. Both dishes were served with bacon. Great savory flavors and great quality ingredients. All the food arrived hot. I was very surprised by the pancakes because of their flavor, they were delicious. Fluffy and freshly made. I did order extra mushrooms and cheese with my eggs and the presentation and taste was on point. Coffee was refilled by our fantastic server every time. She took good care of us and provided and exceptional service. An overall great experience. We will definitely return!!!

Breakfast was served today by The Original Pancake House in Biscayne Blvd. The coffee was good, strong flavor and tasty, ordered the Two by Two by Two with 2 fried eggs, bacon and pancakes and also the Two eggs any style with hash brown and toast, everything was good, I can say that I enjoyed the breakfast. Hard to pinpoint what "local" means in the Aventura area as its such a transient area but living in the area my whole life I can safely say that OHOP is the closest thing to exceptional local breakfast in this area. The staff is kind and thoughtful, and has been for as long as I can remember. Although it is usually packed, service is fast. Most importantly, the food is amazing. Everything made in house and you can tell with the first bite. 49ers flapjack are the way to go. And if with a hefty appetite, go for an oven baked omelette. It will be difficult to finish as its huge.

My husband and I really enjoyed this place. From our waitress Ms. Darla to the manager DJ. The food was great and the wait time to get our food was nonexistent. They were very friendly and attentive. We didnt have to waive them down to get anything. The manager was even friendly enough to take a pic with us. The Brown Sugar Banana French toast were DIVINE! Great job OHOP!

This was a first visit to the restaurant for my family and I. We came in to grab a bite for breakfast. The wait was long because it was a Sunday but, we had frequent updates about our table status. Finally we get in, sat down, the waitress ordered our drinks and they came quickly. We ordered or food, and the wait was worth it. Our table ordered various meals from omlets to pancakes, to waffles. Everything was so good. When we come back down for Christmas break, we want to come again.

Glad we remembered this restaurant is here. Used to going to the one in Minnesota, and the one in Redmond, Wa. so this was a treat. My husband ordered the apple pancake and I ordered the 2, 2, 2. It is a 20min wait for the apple pancake but it was worth it. There's parking right in front of the restaurant. We were there at 7:45 am. Wen we left, the restaurant was getting fuller and there was no front parking, so come early if you need to park at the front. There's also handicapped parking but limited. Waitress was excellent and food was delicious, no matter which one you visit.

I’ve been going to the OHPH all my life. It’s pretty hard to beat. The coffee is great, the food is always excellent and the selection is extensive. The waitstaff is also very accommodating always. This last time I didn’t however notice that the steak in the steak and eggs was anemic lol. I was surprised it was as small as it was. Hopefully this isn’t something that’s standard now because the prices are higher so less food would be a mistake to maintain their patrons.

The Original Pancake House doesn’t give you what you think you want, it gives you what they know you need. Food was delicious, service was excellent, vibe was old school and clean. Would recommend to any one looking to have a delicious breakfast. I also went in expecting to not have espresso and drink drip coffee, surprisingly they have a very tasty balanced espresso, no sugar needed. Also our server Cindy was excellent and on top of everything.

I was SO glad that I chose this spot. Had been wanting to come here for quite some time, it was well worth it. Everything I ordered, I loved. Note: GET THE OJ!!! It's LITERALLY directly squeezed from an orange!!!!! SO good! The omelets are HUGE! French Toast is BEAUTIFUL! I don't really like onions, but the Corned beef was REALLY good. From what I saw with my Sis Chicken n Waffles---the chicken should have been better. Different options for "chicken" should be used vs what they give. But she liked it. Just Awesome!

This was such a great experience. From the time we walked in our Hostess Veada was so friendly. Maria, our waitress was so very kind and helpful in helping us decide on our breakfast. She was extremely attentive to all her customers. The restaurant was extremely clean, the food wells GREAT. It's been such a long time since I have had good French toast that is cooked properly. My eggs were cooked perfectly with the best cheese mixed in them. The bacon was smoked bacon and cooked right crispy. I will definitely be back when we come back next year. We actually ended up coming back the next day Sunday 11.19.23 on the day of the Dolphins/Raiders game it was extremely busy but we still got seated within 10 minutes and everyone was still extremely friendly, food was great , and clean restaurant. so I definitely recommend eating here.

The Irish omlete was good it was huge it comes with either pancakes or toast. If you are not a big eater get the toast . I could not finish my meal. The waitress was attentive but still made a few boo boos but overall it's a pretty good place.

The only issue I had was the butter dish was rusted, unpresentable, but I let my server aware of the issue she switched them out right away! My server was Shantavia, and even though me and mom was a bit extra and needy she was pleasant and simply awesome providing us with great customer service. Nice place. I really wanted to taste the Dutch baby but my dining partner didn't cooperate and order the dish I wanted to taste. The staff was very nice. The omelettes do.take a while to cook. It's a traditional diner in Aventura they can't afford to pull shorts. The people are friendly. Its worth a stop in for a quick breakfast recharge. When I had my heart attack. This was the first place I came after being discharged from Adventura hospital. That should say something!

This really seemed like a good place to get some breakfast food in the middle of the day. After arriving, we were sat after a 2 min wait at the door. After being seated for over 25 minutes with nobody to take our order, we had to manually get someone’s attention to help us. After finally placing our order, the food took another 25 min for part of our order to come out. 15 min after that, the rest of the order showed up. It didn’t seem like there was much regard for our being there and/or being served. That was quite disappointing. However, the food did taste good and we left no longer hungry. Prices are average and the environment is good. The wait time... that’s another story. DON’T eat here if you can’t afford to spend longer than an hour.

1st time coming to this location. Normally, go to the location up north. It looked busy. Food came out in a reasonable time. Ordered Flapjacks - awful. Looked okay but were not cooked all the way. Cheeseburger - looked ok, was like cardboard Kids chocolate chip pancakes - my son didn't even eat 4 bites. Side of corned beef hash- Awful brought it home as a doggie bag. Will never go back.

By far one of the worst meals I’ve had,Everything was overcooked . I frequent The Original Pancake House at other locations, not impressed. My steak was over cooked,hash browns were overcooked or old, hot chocolate looked like it was backed up sewer water. Pancakes were definitely overcooked (look at pictures). Maybe we came at a bad day. Definitely won’t give this restaurant a second chance when ihop/ Denny’s has a similar product at a better price point. Wonder if the cherry crepes would come out better in the restaurant. Cherry sauce was more like solidified jelly than a sauce and eggs were well done not over easy. Waffles were good especially after putting them in the toaster, 2 of the orders were missing pecans, we even paid for extra, got nothing. Potatoes were cold. Always a good idea to fully heat food after it arrives. Normal cooling is to be expected with delivery, but after eating we got extremely sick to our stomachs and had to an alka seltzer.

That (WAS) my favorite place to go to when it comes to breakfast ! I’m always ordering the 49ers flapjacks wich are some kind of hybrids between crepes and pancakes ! The menu is pretty large and diverse and you can try signature items too such as the Dutch baby Which is a huge cake shaped like a big bowl. Be careful though it takes a long time for this particular one... you have not to be in a hurry. This place have been there for decades and became kind of an institution for many and for me too. Edit (September 2nd 2022) : Sad to realize that after the Covid pandemic, this place changed a lot, and not for the best ! First there was a malfunction of their fire alarm system, which resulted in a pretty disturbing and permanent bipping sound that just wouldn’t stop and ruined our experience there ! And apparently nobody could do anything about it ! Got to leave with a headache finally… But wait for the best 😁, the place is supposed to be « specialized » into making breakfast since it closes at 2 or 3pm max. And guess what !? The management (which is obviously everything but clever) decided that a breakfast place which is serving literally thousands of coffees, hot chocolate with whipped cream and stuff, WILL STOP PROVIDING COFFEE SPOONS 🥄 to its clients who are now compelled to use wooden sticks like in gas station’s markets ! Seriously, has basic common sense totally disappeared from people’s minds !? What were they thinking, seriously 😳 !? On top of that, add a free fall of the overall quality : 3 eggs that looked like one inside the plates, dry tiny pancakes and 49ers flapjacks that are now looking like skinny anorexic crepes and you’ll understand that the place is clearly not what it used to be ! It’s sad but I clearly won’t come back anymore…

Worst Eggs Benedicts I’ve ever had. The hollandaise sauce tasted more like a drippy bad bland cheese sauce, thin sause, the English muffin was not lightly toasted-tasted too mushy and cold. The syrup for the pancakes was watery. The seats in the booth were hard and uncomfortable-felt like a piece of plywood cheaply upholstered, w/ no padding. The server was very nice. The coffee was good but not good enough for me to return to this overpriced "has been" restaurant-its' really gone downhill. The paint on the wall of our booth was chipped and pealing. Food was honestly disgusting. It was a pick up order. Server got order wrong. French Toast tasted like corn bread. Syrup was watered down. Potatoes looked really sloppy and awful. The food went straight to the trash after one bite. Really disappointed with the food for the price I paid. First and last time ordering from here

Since service charge is included , server took forever to come to our table. On top they tax 7% tax on service charge. I called the manager and she said I should be okay since places in the beach charge a lot more for big parties. My table was 3 people total and we are not in the beach. We are near the swamps. Lol. Last time I come to this rip off place.

CUSTOMER ADVICE BE CAREFUL IN THIS PLACE, ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE PETS THE SERVICE DEPENDS ON HOW BUSY THEY ARE. WHEN THEY'RE EMPTY, THEY'RE VERY KIND TO YOU AND YOUR PETS, BUT WHEN THEY'RE BUSY, THEY MAKE YOU WAIT, TRYING TO GET YOU TO LEAVE, AND THEY TREAT YOU VERY BADLY. BEWARE. THANK YOU.
