Came here to grab a bite to eat after a long day. Staff was very friendly and service was great. Tried the Honey Chipotle BBQ brisket bacon fries, they were awesome. And my drink was free for being a CDL holder. Thought that was cool.

The only reason for the four stars on service was because they are understaffed. There was definitely nothing wrong with any of the employees it's more of a management thing It was an extremely busy day so I'll give them that. Food is great as always and the bathroom facilities are fantastically clean and quite large Definitely a decent stop in the middle of nowhere. It's now a couple years later since my review and I have to say our last visit the staff was fabulous and the restrooms were exceptionally clean well stocked and all around this is a good road stop As for the food and service? Perfect

The whole team that evening was great. A really nice Hispanic woman went out of her way understanding we needed some beans to mix in our dogs food. The cook was very nice. And can't forget the very nice tattooed young lady. She was also very nice and accommodating. She did a great job on our order even though we had trouble Hearing through the intercom. Five stats for value. The red and green bean/cheese burritos are delicious, made from good, fresh tasting ingredients and are pretty good sized. Excellent for only $2.79. Rest of menu is good as well. This particular store was also clean, had a nice pleasant atmosphere and the service was prompt and friendly.

Known as the best Del Taco so I had to check it out. 💯 true. There was no skimping on anything, food looked better than the menu and tasted better than the average Del Taco. I was driving back from Vegas so didn't get a chance to take pictured. Staff was super friendly too.

I have to give a shout out to this fast food place. The food was adequate, after all it’s fast food. But the staff and the restaurant cleanliness were far beyond what you’d expect in a fast food restaurant on a major highway. If you’re traveling on I 15 through Baker and getting hungry, definitely try this place out. It’ll restore your faith in fast food culture.

Returning home from a school trip on charter bus full of kids and a handful of adults there was a mess up with our scheduled dinner stop. We had to continue past and decided to stop at Del Taco in Baker. Upon walking in the staff was super friendly and when I told them we had a bus full of hungry kids they said bring them in and we'll take care of you. The place was very clean and well maintained. Staff was excited to see us and provided excellent service. Made the bus company mess up worth it and glad we stopped there instead of where we were supposed to in Barstow.

The food is reasonably priced fast food Mexican. However, if you happen to stop when they have tamales, you’ll be pleased you ordered them! Very clean dining room and bathrooms. Everyone is friendly. I’ve stopped her many times. Easy parking for semis and RVs. And truckers get free sodas! Just ask.

When I loaded the filled bottles into the Fiesta, my brother and I walked up to the taco shop’s door. “Okay, then,” my brother said in a low, menacing, but loud voice. “We’ll do this, but remember: NOBODY leaves this place alive. No witnesses this time!” I looked around to see if anyone had heard. There was nobody around. We went in. The people serving fast food inside knew us, and they knew what to expect. “Six large orders of French fries, please! To go,” my brother said. The person at the counter didn’t blush. My brother forked over the cash, then stepped aside. I stepped up. “I would like six orders of large French fries to go, please, and a small fountain drink: I’m on a diet.” My brother giggled. “It’ll take a few minutes,” Counter Guy said, still without a blush. The woman at the drive-up window said “Howdy” at me, and asked me how the turquoise hunting was going. I fished into my front left pocket and pulled out a pale brown rock that had a zero-quality (worthless) streak of turquoise and I gave it to her. She has been working that drive-up service window for over ten years, and I wondered at how she has managed to not shotgun her brains out, while standing in a bathtub in some motel, from the angst and despair such a “career” must cause. She was pleased with the rock. Our heavy bags of highly-salted deep-fried starch were ready. I got a cup of ice from the soda fountain, and we left. Nobody died. --- I entered the burrito store and was punched in the face with cool air. It felt strange to suddenly go from 108 degrees Fahrenheit (42.2 Celsius) to 66F (19C) in the time span of two heartbeats. The sweat on my face seemed to harden and then ice over in a patina of alkaline, calcium carbonate, and feldspar dust, bonded to my face with the greasy sweat my body produced from processing dehydrated refried beans and saltine crackers. I worked my jaw to alleviate the numbing chill from my cheeks. The smell of fried bovine and chicken flesh assaulted by sinus cavities.

Another Del Taco that beats everybody in the area when it comes to what you get. The Del Taco taco always looks like the picture and it's loaded. Not the kind of thing I would pick up through the drive-thru and eat in the car on the highway because it would be all over the car how well Del Taco in general makes their tacos

Older building look was cool. Inside was super clean. Food was packed and they did not short us on any of the things we ordered. Everything tasted great, and the fries tasted so fresh not like the typical Del Taco fries I've had at other places. Tasted like they keep their fryer oil clean. Great spot and we are definitely adding it to our return trips from Vegas.

From what I understand, this location is either the first or one of the first Del Taco locations ever. From my experience, the food here is always twice as good as other locations(other than Barstow).

My favorite del taco to visit, red burritos are loaded with cheese, the beans are not dry or too running. Fries are fresh. Always playing classic music like mash potatas and great ball's of fire. Its just a fun little memory for me to stop by every trip to Vegas

Cleanest Del Taco I’ve walked into, bathrooms smelled of bleach with no gunk in the crevices. The floors in the dining room were clean as well even under the soda machine. I don’t know about the kitchen area but to walk into a fast food restaurant and it be clean is definitely worth noting. My Del taco had more cheese than tomato but that is a personal preference Javier keep up the great work. I hope management shows their gratitude this holiday.

If you like Del taco in general this location makes things very well, the burritos were filled well and not flat looking and their fries were cooked fresh and somewhat crispy compared to other locations. Well done.

Not 24hrs I repeat this location is not 24hrs like their website says. Maybe they open at 7am but we just came through from Vegas around 4am and it was pitch dark.

Great pit stop. Large bathroom with lots of stalls, easy parking and access to the 15. We ordered food and it was great, quick and yummy. Will be stopping again for sure when we drive through again.

I came in on my way up to Vegas stop by and grab a mega burrito but however when I came in you had to order from a kiosk and it was new to me and it was a little weird and it kind of kills the experience of going. This is my favorite Del Taco, usually stop here a couple times weekly on my routes, great service, the best prepared food, super accommodating for truckers which is highly appreciated, the only problem is it’s been closed late at night!? I usually rely on them being 24hrs but it seems the last few times I stop in town to go there, nobody’s home ): otherwise, love it here

Absolutely my go to stop when traveling the i-15 to and from California to Nevada or vice versa. Food tastes like the Del Taco I used to know. Bean burritos with green sauce, filled with hot and tasty beans like it was served in the past. So many Del Tacos barely fill a burrito as it should be. Skimping on ingredients means I "skimp" on return visits. Good tacos, self service drinks are a plus. Side station well stocked with hot sauce and knapkins. Restrooms while traveling on the road are hit and miss, but the one here is clean and no line. The little road stop of Baker is a long time tradition. It's felt some hard times as the years go by, but make a stop and dine in at the Baker Del Taco. Good food done right, priced fairly considering the location. Overall my favorite stop when on the Cali i-15 🤠👍🌯🌯🌮🥤

The food was fresh, for a fast food chain it was very good quality fresh ingredients it appeared. Service was great very friendly staff. And the dining room has a stunning view over the desert and mountains. I enjoyed my experience. I had the grilled chicken guacamole burrito, I highly recommend it. Also for all my fellow truckers out there, they even have paved spots to park up your rig! Very convenient!

A hot spot (pun intended!) near the world’s largest thermometer, one would think this Del Taco location would be teeming with a zillion customers, but though we hit the lunch hour, service was quick and employees were super friendly! I'm reviewing the Baker CA, Del Taco, food and service was great! The overflowing trash can in front of the restaurant being ravaged by numerous birds was a little distasteful, only reason why a 4 star overall.

This is a great stop, but they really need more people. Our server was a superstar, but she was running everything by herself with the exception of a cook and a manager. If it wasn’t for that it’d be five stars easily! And honestly, the need for more people is super important. Our food was good but it was starting to get cold when we got it.

We did a late night snack from Vegas, and this was the only place open 24 hours. The food was good, but the downside is that they don't accept the app for any discounts or free items to redeem. I loaded a free grilled chicken taco, and now I have to let it disappear because once you redeem it, it is voided even if you don't use it.

Try this for a stop along a long drive. It’s 24-7 ! I enjoyed the veggie burrito deal to mix and match. I will say they got my order confused and had me running up to counter to correct it but I did get the right thing at the end.

A great stop along the way from Las Vegas to LA. I deducted one star for the girl at the counter that wouldn't accept a Del Taco coupon I received in the mail and was very unfriendly about it.

It was late and very happy to see a place open on my way home from Vegas. As far as Del Taco goes, this is probably one of the best ones I've had the opportunity to enjoy. The tacos are about $2.79/each, but well worth it. I got 8 thinking I would be able to eat them all, but only got through 3 last night. I enjoyed 2 more the next day. Service was good but the wait was long! Had to put my car in park. But that wasn't the issue for us, it was the doritos tacos. Those heffers were thin AF. You could put it up to the sun and see thru it. They crumble to the touch. They definitely had a weight limit, I put my hot sauce on one and it turned into dust. Think what the bottom of the doritos bag looks like.That is all.

Dogs on the food counter and roaches/water bugs under the fountain drinks. Seems pretty typical of Baker residents. Also, men's room has a trash can and sink that make it NOT ADA compliant.

Stopped here on our way to SoCal. The employees are very nice, and friendly. Which is a nice surprise! Usually you encounter miserable employees at a fast food establishment. Not here. Anyway the food is typical fast food fare. It's not crazy delicious, but it hits the spot when in need of a quick road trip bite.

Along the free way at night, not much restaurant available, this is one of the choose we got. No bad for the food, just have a short break here to continue the journey.

Horrible service from the one employee that wouldn't wear gloves while preparing food, claimed to have called my number when I was waiting at the register for my food for 20 minutes and they still had the ticket open on the computer. Employee also threatened me after explaining this to him, saying he was off at midnight if I had a complaint. Fire him!

Just left. Had a hair in my strawberry sprite after drinking a 1/4 of it and finishing my food, we noticed. We told the ladies just to be told it was a short hair?! so that it wasn't theirs? Newsflash, my hair is longer than yours..I never even opened the cap since they serve it for you so how would it get in? On top of that, they made us feel uncomfortable the whole time we dined in since the cooks were staring at us and talking about us the whole time as if we couldn't see them. Lol. The only okay one was the cashier who rang us up other than that, the rest were just plain awful and left a gross experience that made my stomach turn. Hope you washed your hair this morning before I drank it. Would recommend stopping at another fast food place unless you want some hair with your order.

We stopped here briefly on our way back to LA, plenty of people in the drive-thru and inside the restaurant. We were parked directly in front of the restaurant. Our car was broken into and everything in the front and middle seats were stolen. Our passenger window was shattered. My MIL tried to get the help of an employee who seemed very angry that we were requesting copies of the security footage and asking for help. The staff there couldn't care less. We waited for the police who confirmed the next day that their cameras do not cover the front of the store. How convenient. They must be complicit in this. Don’t stop here unless you want your car broken into. We had to drive 3 hours with no window and glass everywhere. We were with a newborn and young child. Along with many other valuables, they stole my newborn’s baby bjorn and swaddles. Unchecked monsters prowling around this establishment, steer clear.

Not sure of this is a california thing or what but they charged almost 5 dollars for a large coke. I eat deltaco all the time in florida and drinks are never this much. The drink alone will certainly keep me away from this location in the future.

Food was absolutely horrible. I ordered a chicken soft taco and red burrito. The chicken tasted weird and the tortilla was not fresh. The tortilla was so chewy that I had a hard time trying to swallow it and almost choked. I put the chicken taco down and thought I'd try the red burrito. It was cold and the cheese wasn't even melted. I wish I had checked my food before getting back on the freeway to go to Barstow. I would have taken it back.

Significant communication challenges. Ordered one snack taco and one fish taco, repeated the order for clarity as I worked fast food myself in the past, still got two snack tacos. My husband did not want tomatoes and I did, so there was a confusing conversation with the associate involving that.The associate kept saying, “no, no tomatoes,” when I was saying that I wanted tomatoes as an add on for my order. I did take at least get the tomatoes, yet that was after repetition and enunciation. I then order iced coffee, and expressly and clearly said cream and NO sweetener (after all, at this point, communication challenges were multiplying). I received it, took a sip, and am pretty sure that I immediately got diabetes and also cavities in every single one of my teeth. I returned to the counter and was told by the same person from whom I had ordered unsweetened coffee literally minutes before that it only comes sweetened. That information would have been helpful when I initially ordered. I’m not sure that I was told the truth about the coffee, yet if the only option is sicky icky, pancreas annihilatingly sweet, I cannot stress this enough: IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH AT ALL (with the awareness that this is a fast food restaurant, of course), DO NOT ORDER THE ICED COFFEE. Your mileage may vary, yet I could not stand the intense, unnatural sweetness. My dentist and endocrinologist are calling, so I close this review.

This is a good stop if you like del Taco, most of my experience coming here has been good, but not today.. I ordered my food and asked for coffee, I was asked how many creams for which I replied 3, I got my food and My coffee and drove off, when I was ready for my coffee I realized they didn't add cream or give me cream on the side, I do not drink coffee without cream, . I always stop here on my wait to Vegas. Great food and friendly servers. This morning I stop by and there’s no friendly workers, just self-serve screens. I tried to place my order, but couldn’t. It was because of the customization part. I simply walked out the door and will never return. They lost a long time customer for good.

Very disappointed in the change to kiosks. Genuinely enjoyed getting out of the truck to have interactions with real humans. If all I wanted was corporate greed mexicanish food, I’d have gone to Taco Bell up the street and saved both money and a 1/3 mile round trip into town. You’d think they’d wanna keep every last job in such a dying town. Guess it’s robot assembled tǎcos from now on. Huge disappointment

On a road trip with my partner. I tried calling this Del Taco around 11 pm as it says that it’s open 24 hours. I wanted to see if the dining room was open or if it was just drive thru. No answer. I call again, the line is busy. We are starving and she really needs to use the restroom, so we decide to take a chance and make the stop. As soon as we get there, I call again as we’re driving into the parking lot. I see 4 employees laughing and not doing anything as I’m literally on the phone waiting to be answered. Shortly after, I see all four of them lock up and leave. So I look up the reviews and it looks like you’ve gotten many complaints about your hours and not being open when you say you’re open. And don’t try to tell me what you’ve told everyone else for the last two years and instead, change your freaking hours dude. It’s such an inconvenience and we could have not wasted time and tried to find another place with an open restroom, or, I don’t know, is at least open when they say they’re open. Don’t even bother responding. Just change it.
