The fried whiting is insanely good!! The best fried fish I’ve ever had. Ordered the fried shrimp, and seasoned fries as well! Shrimp was great and the seasoned fries are exactly what you’d expect. They put in a sample of their macaroni salad in the bag and wow I will be coming back for that and to try the rest of their menu!

This place understands good taste. You receive plenty of expertly prepared food that tastes wonderful. The staff's approach makes customers feel valued. The workers are kind and the food hits the spot, with large portions at fair prices. This restaurant delivers notable performance.

Finding a great fish and chips spot can be a challenge, but Geno’s absolutely fits the bill! From the moment I walked in, I felt right at home. The customer service was top-notch—friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The food itself was even better. The fish was cooked to perfection—crispy on the outside, tender and flaky inside—and seasoned just right. The chips were just as delicious, golden and perfectly crispy. Everything was fresh and flavorful, making for a truly satisfying meal. If you’re looking for a go-to spot for fish and chips, Geno’s is the place. Highly recommend!

I was heading to another lunch spot, but then I heard a loud laughter coming from this place, so I peeked in, and I'm glad I did! Justin and Ethan were very welcoming and friendly, and the fried shrimps & fries were so satisfying. Delicious sauces were given too, but honestly, the fried shrimp was seasoned perfectly that it tasted great even without any sauce added. It was crispy outside and juicy inside. The seasoned fried batter tasted good, that just ate the tail part too that I normally take out when eating shrimps. I would come again and try their other offerings too!

We are new customers of Geno's Fish and Chips and let me share our experience! We've gone twice and, there was a different Chef and it was the same Grand Slam Homerun that brought us back! Geno's is warm and inviting, the Staff are amazing and feel like family! The establishment is spotless in it's simplicity. The food is scrumptious and the seasonings are balanced, the Catfish is delectable and the Whiting is as well, the Shrimp are delicious. We drive from Queens to this hidden Brooklyn Gem! The sides are just as mouthwatering good as everything we've tried so far. We will be heading back with the eagerness of Satisfaction. We had the pleasure of meeting Geno on our 2nd Visit! The warmth and kindness from this humble Man attributes to the success of this amazing place. I was born and raised in Brooklyn and now have another reason to drive back to my place of birth. We give Geno's a 10 out of 10!!

I always drove past this restaurant, and really wanted a good ol fried fish sandwich, I ordered the Whiting sandwich with side order of fries. everything was so delicious, I really enjoyed it. Will definitely be going back, they adopted a steady customer. dont wanna leave out as soon as I walked in I was greeted with a good afternoon, what are you having.. very professional, very positive energy. mind you this is my very first time coming to this restaurant

For a restaurant that serves fried fish, it was spotless inside...that was the very first thing I noticed! The place was bright, fresh, and very clean. I placed my order in advance and paid ahead. When I arrived to pick it up, everything was piping hot and fresh. The fish didn’t taste like it was cooked in old oil (I'm always nervous about that), and it was perfectly seasoned, lightly crispy, and delicious. I also tried the cabbage salad with kale, which was amazing. I’ve thought about it several times since and I'll definitely be back for that. What really made it a 10/10 experience was the owner. She was so kind and has such a warm, genuine spirit. It made my first-time experience that much better. Everyone I interacted with there was friendly and welcoming. I love finding local spots that get both the food and the service right — and Geno’s definitely does. Highly recommend!

The fried shrimp, yams, and rice were excellent. My 8 yo daughter kept going back for more and wanted the leftovers for dinner! The drinks and tartar sauce were a little on the sweet side, but that’s a personal preference thing. Can’t wait to go back and try the catfish and Mac n cheese. Would definitely recommend this place — the service was the best part. Super nice folks :)

Four stars because they didn't give me any sauces! I had to make my own cocktail sauce. Hopefully this was a fluke, and I will definitely kick this review up to 5 if I get some next time, because this was some seriously good fish, and I will order more. I'll make sure my refrigerator is stocked on condiments first, but I will order more. Even on delivery the fish was moist and firm and very flavorful. I wish I had tartar sauce. It would have been better with tartar sauce, but it was still good even without tartar sauce. The shrimp are big, fresh, and flavorful as well.
