Ordered a grubhub delivery on New Years Eve, and wow! Delicious! I don't understand the bad reviews at all! I'll order again, for sure!
I've been ordering from here for the last 6 years. No matter what time of the day or evening the food is always delicious and fast! Most other places I order from sometimes forget something and you have to come downstairs or outside your building just to pick up the food. But No.1 Chinese restaurant always remember everything AND they come up to your apartment. I'm on the 4th floor so I make sure to give a generous tip. Even in the winter time when I order the food is always piping-hot! Yesterday I placed a huge order and they gave us 3 extra Shrimp Rolls and 2 extra Fantail Shrimps!
Absolutely no frills but they use an amount of garlic and spices/seasonings to let you know the food is always good!

Prices are good compared to other Chinese restaurants in the area. Friendly family establishment. Always order my broccoli w brown sauce favorites from here with brown rice and the portions are generous. They don’t skimp on the protein and will be very grateful if you call them instead of ordering thru an app.
I've been coming here for a long time, sometimes consecutively for months so I feel like an expert Numero Uno-ian. HahaJaja. Except, my GoTo is ONLY two or three items on the menu. Tehehe Before I talk about the food, I love the sense of community they embody. Sometimes I'll be having lunch and overhear conversations and it's so pleasant hearing staff genuinely enquire about customer's children, businesses, etc. Gives me all the great feels. The staff is very welcoming to me as well and often makes space for me when they're occupying the lone table (after all it's a takeout spot). I enjoy hearing them sing along with the music and I've added a few Asian hits to my playlist. Their food is good and consistent. I'm not much of an adventurer when it comes to my tummy so when I find a dish I like, I'll order it for months until my little palate begs me "no more". Each time I order it's fresh, and tasty just like it was the previous day. Prices are affordable and like most fast-food restaurants, they offer many daily specials. They get all five of my stars because hey, they're Number One. The End.
Consistently satisfying food that is exactly what you want and expect from your neighborhood American neighborhood Chinese takeout restaurant. Love the greatest hits – battered chicken swimming in sauce (sesame, General Tso’s, orange), pork fried rice and lo mein are deceptively simple and delicious, piping hot egg rolls, and the soups are always good. Generous portions. Run by an incredibly friendly family. Fast service – I usually call ahead by 10 minutes and my order is ready by the time I walk over. Recommended as your neighborhood Chinese comfort food restaurant.

They have the best freaking sesame chicken ever. This is the only Chinese food place I eat at. The food is always fresh and flavorful. However, delivery service can be improved.

Ordered on Uber eats, food came hot and arrived very quickly 10-15 min before estimated time! Portions and price are very fair. Jumbo fried shrimp came with tartar sauce which was good. Beef lo mein was good.
Favorite Chinese in the area! Our absolute favorites are the lo mein, sesame chicken, and scallion pancakes. Delivery is always very fast and it’s easy to order directly from their website (and much cheaper than going through third part websites).
Solid Chinese take out! My favorite spot I’ve tried in the area. Chow fun, fried rice, and orange chicken were all really good.

Ordered since it was highly rated on seamless. The order came very messy (how they packaged it). Food was overall good. Must confirm other comments about the "come down" call, but the guy was very pleasant when I met him in person.

Back in the day, this was the best ghetto Chinese spot when they still had the bullet proof glass up and it was so thick you couldn't make out facial details. Now the glass is down and it's catering to new (read: white) clientele and the food tastes bland and cost twice as much. I recommend it 8 years ago.
When I first ordered from this Resturant it was a nice. Now they have gotten very lazy and rude. One delivery guy tried to get extra money by moving my receipt. Time in and time out they forget my soda that I pay for and are skimp with their sauce very horrible I will never order from them again.

Ordered because of the 4 star rating on seemless. Got my food 40 minutes late. Delivery guy was kinda rude. Yelled for me to "come down!!" And when I got downstairs he wasn't even there. The food was cold and coagulated. Sesame noodle appetizer was straight gross. Can't eat it, guess I gotta throw away the whole dish. The Rangoon and orange chicken is okay, what I'd expect from basic Chinese takeout, but it was cold and the texture really suffered. I order Chinese takeout like once a year to satisfy the craving - anyone with a recommendation for good Chinese food in Brooklyn please reply!

Their food USED to be good. However, much was changed over the years. I waited 40 minutes and the food was cold, bland and actually the order was incorrect. I meannnnn, I guess onions are a vegetable but when i ordered VEGETABLE fried rice, i expected more than just onions. My recent experiences here have been disappointing. Time to stop holding on to thw past. I'll have to venture out and try other chinese restaurants in the neighborhood
Delivery driver tried to say he called repeatedly when I only got one call from the restaurant. He then threatened my mother who was visiting, yelled at her, and then punched the door after she had retreated inside our building. The food was okay but will never order again until anger issues resolved
This was literally inedible. Tried the sesame chicken, beef with broccoli and fried rice. The beef was too tough to chew and everything was way too salty. Fried rice tasted like some kind of stale curry spices. Possibly the worst food I have ever been served, and I'm not super picky.
I ordered chicken wings, and white rice I only thing I asked for y'all to put on it was salt and pepper everywhere and they can't even do that correctly. Like I'm so annoyed right now.
Absolutely terrible experience. I placed an order through Uber Eats, and not only did they mess it up completely, but I also called them multiple times trying to get it fixed—and they still sent the wrong order. It’s beyond frustrating. The lack of communication, accountability, and basic customer service is unbelievable. I wasted time, money, and energy only to be completely ignored and disrespected. This was hands down one of the worst service experiences I’ve ever had. Avoid at all costs.
Soooooo, I struggled with writing this review. I have lived in this neighborhood for over 20 years. This chinese restaurant used to be my go to, but I stopped eating chinese food and hadn't been here in over 10 years. Well, it seems that I wasn't missing much and this place needs to start over from scratch! I can get past the outside looks, but when you try to make egg foo young using one egg, instead of two or three, and then try to cook it in oil that has not been changed in at least six months, then there is a SERIOUS problem. All of the vegetables in the egg foo young were fried to a crisp and absorbed all of the oil, too the point that there was almost no egg evident in the dish. I was too mad and upset with myself to take it back to the restaurant, because I "secretly" knew I should've went in here in the first place! Unfortunately, this is one of only two chinese restaurants left in the area, without having to walk too far, so that is why they are probably still open. However you probably should stick to something simple like fried rice and some chicken wings(which is what my daughter had). Sincerely, AWFULLY DISAPPOINTED!!!!
I usually really enjoy this place. I’ve ordered from them on seamless A LOT. LOVEEEE their slushes. The fried shrimps were so bad today. I could smell the thru the box and bag and not in a good way. Smelled stale and old. I’ll try back again in a couple months. Need to take a break now :( thank you. -loyal but sad customer :/
