I am Italian and very picky about Italian food. I love this place. Food is well prepared and care taken for allergies. The staff is friendly and attentive. Been going to for years and will continue to. Highly recommend
Went here for dinner after a funeral with friends. At first when we entered, I thought it may be too small as 2 of us utilize motorized chairs. However, as we were escorted further in, there was enough space for us. The atmosphere was nice, kind of romantic and the music was from the 80's which we as 50 yr olds appreciated. We were greeted by Luis who is one of the nicest waiters I have had the pleasure of being served by. He made recommendations and all were good ones. The white wine sangria with watermelon was absolutely delicious. The bread.....YUM! Appetizers were so good, esp. the octopus which was my favorite. We also had mussels but no pic since they were gone before I got a pic. The entrees were a nice size, with fresh pasta and sauce. My chicken parm was so tender as well. I got dessert to go because I was too full to eat more. Hopefully my daughter didn't eat them both so I can take a pic and taste them. Will visit again and ask for Luis. 🥰
My group had wonderful dinner. The food was excellent, from appetizers to entrees to dessert and even the drinks. The waiter was very friendly and accommodating. The wait between appetizers and entrees was a little long, but worth the wait. I would definitely go back.
Wanted to thank you Paul, Stella and staff for your support of my father-in-law, Mr.. Segundo who worked for you for many years. We appreciate your kindness in these most difficult times for us out of Country from Canada and your support from your community and at the service. Appreciate your help, kindness and to all please do eat as prices and food is great. Matteo and Monica
As a NYer, I am a true foodie. I have to sing praises to this little gem especially to the cook! Phenomenon food..must try meatballs, mussels in white wine, and Insalada Bianca. Taste was on point, prepared/cooked to perfection. The Branziano was flavorful with mouth watering vegetables. The lamb chops were tender and delicious..The desserts were fluffy with the right amount of sweetness especially the cheese cake and chocolate mousse. I strongly recommend this establishment. Thank you for everything.
Wonderful service. Delicious food. Our party of 8 shared hot and cold antipasto. Mozzarella en carozza, baked clams, grana padano, sun dried tomatoes, salami and more. Everything was fresh and delicious. As an entree, I ordered squid ink pasta with shrimp, crabmeat and a red sauce. Really tasty, the pasta was perfectly cooked. For dessert we had poached pears. Lovely. Valet parking. A great dinner spot.
Food is just okay, not great. It was a weekday. My group of 4 just walk in. A+ for service. Great waitstaff!
Just had a WONDERFUL Christmas eve dinner !! Started out with the stuffed calamari - 3 pieces & the mixed green salad 🥗 😋 ( for those who like Romaine, arugula & radiccio, with thick Julienne style sliced beets - this salad's for you ) continued with the linguine fruttti di mare - as you can see from the photos- with shrimp 🍤 clams, scallops & mussels ( on the menu in a red sauce, I requested a white clam sauce - delicious !! ) followed by a single broiled lobster tail - PERFECTLY prepared, with broccoli 🥦 - also perfect & 2 potato wedges - toasty on the outside & fluffy on the inside. Ended the meal with a cappuccino & Italian cheesecake. Luis - the very accommodating young waiter, couldn't have been nicer ( he helped to make it a lovely evening - I appreciate him, & his father, Sergio working on Christmas eve )
The food was fantastic but the practice of charging an extra $10 because you’re paying with a card is ridiculous. Note: bring cash to pay. Portions are not large but were great in the moment.
Delicious Italian meal in Bay Ridge. Excellent service, daily specials offered. We ordered fried calamari and a caesar salad to start. Calamari was crispy and delicious, caesar was average. My fiance got the chicken special with bacon and gorgonzola cream sauce. I ordered the gamberi ortolana, shrimp with zucchini, artichokes, tomatoes and mushrooms. My fiance cleaned his plate. I was slightly disappointed by CANNED mushrooms and overcooked shrimp. When everything is made from scratch, including your croutons, why would you serve slimy canned mushrooms? Had to take a star off for that.
We used to love this place, but we’re not sure what happened this time — maybe things have changed since our last visit. We came for a Valentine’s Day dinner and, sadly, most of the food tasted off. It was a fixed-price menu with an appetizer, salad, main course, and dessert. The salad tasted like plain vinegar with a little oil — no salt or real flavor. The appetizer was extremely greasy, almost like it had been fried at the wrong temperature. For the main course, we all ordered different dishes, but none were very good. The fish especially was oily and seemed improperly fried. This used to be one of our favorite restaurants, so we expected a better experience, especially paying over $65 per person. Overall, it was a pretty disappointing Valentine’s dinner. That said, we still really love the people who work there — they’ve always been kind and welcoming. Because of that, we may give it another try in the future and hopefully be able to update this review on a more positive note.
I ordered filet mignon well done. They served to me burned on top like black, and the steak inside was red. I Didn't eat. Unsatisfied.
The food was really bad, it took long to get it, even we were the ONLY ones at the restaurant… Service was ok… I think they could do better hiring a chef who knows how to cook… The salad was the worst, it took me two spoons to realize how much I didn’t want to eat it… The Aperol was not even ok, just meh, so sad to see those ingredients treated this way… Feel sorry for the servers, because there is not an amount of good service that can compensate good food…
Went here because the wait at Brooklyn Roots down the street was too long. Food was abysmal - really unacceptable quality for Italian food in Brooklyn.
