I do not have enough good things to say about this place or the amazing people behind the counter. Today Irfan, one of their newer employees, remembered a drink specification I tried out once about two weeks ago and it was brilliant (adding nutmeg to the filter on a Mocha Tesora… game changer!) that attention to detail is just one of many reasons why this place rocks! Whether it’s Gabriel checking in, or Anastasia’s incredible customer service… I am constantly blown away by the amazing quality both of the product and of the people who make this place a gem! 🙌🏻☕️

I have become a regular at this Philz in particular because of the incredibly warm and competent employees here. Jilly and harrison always greet me with a smile and are genuinely interested in how my day is going. they are concerned with making every coffee to the exact preference of every customer and always ask me if i like it after they make it. they are both hardworking and make this place feel like a home!! they deserve a raise!

Good coffee with a lot of optionally between sweetness and cream, which we love. Tons of flavor options too. Staff is friendly here and didn’t realize this is right near Pepperdine — who woulda thought??

After my first try of Philz coffee, the staff, the brew master Jonathan, the chic vibes, and of course, delicious brews have called me here for a second visit, this time with my mom! She wasn't too sure about her Chai but my tessora with Mocha was great and the mint mojito with 2 shots of mocha was perfect! I prefer ice coffee and drinking it without a straw is genius. The best part of my experience is Jonathan, who you may catch singing a tune to the radio (he's quite good!), when he's finished making your drink and places it uncapped in front of you, politely daring you give it a taste test. So, as I dramtically stoop to medium cup level for a hands free sip, I feel the flavors I was expecting and the ones I didn't know I needed put a smile on my face because HE GETS IT. Nothing like a fire batista who knows how to make a good brew! I'll be back!!

My first time trying a Philz Coffee- I had a Honey Haze (oatmilk foam and honey) with their decaf instead of cold brew and omg. This has to be one of the best drinks I’ve ever had. No weird decaf taste, and just as creamy and sweet as I was hoping it would be, with a generous amount of honey drizzle and taste throughout. Service was polite as well and fast and the shop is clean. Only downside was that they had almost no pastries on offer but I did come around 4pm, so probably come earlier in the day if you’re hoping for something to eat. I will definitely be trying more!!

They used to be pretty exclusively standard coffees, but have started branching out quite a bit into different/unique flavors, sweeter options, and now a selection of teas. You can't really go wrong with any of the options, tantalizing Turkish is definitely my favorite for a good strong coffee

My daughters, Payton and Joy, and my son, Christopher, all joined me for some coffee and a snack before heading to a Super Bowl event, and this place did not disappoint. From the moment we walked in, Katie made our experience exceptional—she was professional, engaging, knowledgeable, and genuinely fun to talk to. She set the tone for a welcoming and enjoyable visit. Marie and Gabe, who prepared our food, were just as attentive, ensuring everything was made with care. Between the top-notch service and the great atmosphere, Philz Coffee in Calabasas was a win for the whole family. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

Found this spot while driving by and I was craving a latte. Glad I stopped by because it was great. I had a latte with almond milk and their breakfast burrito. Overall it was an excellent breakfast pairing. I’d definitely come back here again to try their other menu items.

Philz Coffee was... fine. My wife and I stopped by after a bike ride around the neighborhood, feeling good and caffeination-ready--only to discover there's nowhere decent to park a bike. We ended up wheeling them inside feeling like a couple bums looking for free water and public restrooms. The vibe? Minimalist, yes--but not in the cool, modernist sense. More like if a Burger King decided to sell pour-overs. The energy was low, the lighting flat, and the general mood inside felt like a Monday that never ended. I ordered the cold brew, which tasted like someone brewed drip coffee, forgot about it, then remembered and tossed it in the fridge for later. It wasn't bad, just... uninspired. Not the kind of drink you'd text a friend about. The baristas seemed like they were having a rough day, which happens--but we walked in buzzing from our ride and left feeling like someone had hit the emotional dimmer switch. That said, I'm giving it three stars. Maybe we caught it on an off day. I want to believe there's a better version of this place out there, hiding beneath the fluorescent lighting.

Elia has not yet been trained to consistently provide a strong customer experience. The rest of the team stepped in and handled the situation well, but she will need proper training on how to support customers when issues arise.

I was holding my phone: I walked to her and explained that I was visiting from out of town and I was familiar with the brand from Instagram. She continued with her rude talk and said that I could come back tomorrow. She explained that she was busy. No. I won’t go back. This was hugely disappointing.

I’m a frequent customer at the studio city location and love how my coffee always turns out. Calabasas location on there other hand should reconsider hiring new baristas. This has been the case for half a year now. Each time I’ve given this location a chance I was disappointed at how watered down my coffee tastes.
