True Japanese food at a good price. I’ve been there a few times and loved all my experiences there.

A great place for affordable and delicious food. I got the menu of the day, which included tea, miso soup, a little bit of fruit, rice, sesame spinach, salad, and my entree choice was beef with sautéed peppers and green peas. All of this food for 155 pesos! It was nutritious and tasty.

Had the battered sailfish in a sweet mayonnaise glaze. Came with salad, rice and miso soup. Was one of the most delicious meals I've ever had. And it cost 150 pesos. Will come again I hope. Loved this lunchtime restaurant.

Update: prices for menu del dia $155 as of September 2025 Update: 2025 #25 (CDMX #25; Japanese #3, Comida Corrida #1) COME continues to be one of our favorite places to eat in the city (a quaint portal to Japan). Make sure to follow them on IG to see their Menu del Dia. We particularly enjoy their tonkatsu, karaage, and sierra asado. Previous review: #24 Super Mikasa Next review: #26 TBD -- Update: came back for the second time, and everything was delicious. This is one of our favorite spots in the city. *added photos of what we ate/ordered CDMX Eats 2024 #98, Japanese #4: this place is incredible. Not sure how I discovered this place (maybe browsing on Google Maps), but I am so happy I did. Friendly tip: follow them on IG to see their daily menu (they post about 30 minutes before open). We each ordered one of the menu del dia ($145) karaage for my partner and mero asado (teriyaki) for me. Each came with soup, salad, tea, and dessert (fruit). I was very happy with every single item. The miso was so much better than the packet stuff you often get, the salad was lite and well-dressed, and the rice was so good. I don't like rice (I know), and I couldn't get enough of it. The karaage was so fresh and crunchy, and my fish was cooked perfectly with a delicious sauce. We are in a hurry to come back here, but the restaurant's (scant) hours don't line up too well for us. Oh, well, we will be back! Other Japanese spots we like in CDMX: Kura (sushi, lunch sets), Fukusuke (udon), Deigo (ramen). Other Japanese spots we want to try: Hayateya (curry), Niri-go (sushi/nigiri), ORI KATSUO (omakase), Sairi (ramen)

“Comida corrida” is a traditional lunch with three or four courses for a modest price. This is a rare version in CDMX featuring Japanese-style food, such as miso soup, salad, vegetable, rice, and protein such as chicken, seafood or beef. Tea and a few pieces of fruit are included. Each day there are three menu options. It might be the healthiest meal you will find for the price.

Honestly the best home comfort Japanese food in CDMX.

Wow! Believe the reviews! I stopped in just looking for something different and I was amazed at the flavors and quality- not to mention the prices. Miso soup was a decent portion, flavorful, and not the plain, watery “broth” other places serve. Quite worthy. The salad though. Beautiful, fresh veggies in a much larger than expected amount, arranged in an appetizing display that was filling on its own. Then the sweet glazed Sierra fish over probably the most tasty rice I’ve ever had. Service was good. Free refills on the daily cool tea! C.O.M.E. just became one of my regulars.

Authentic Japanese Food The fried chichen is delicious and the "menu del día" comes with a soup, salad and rice! honestly it is so nice but it is the type of place you eat and leave and either come alone or with two persons max bc it is a small restaurant

It's a simple family place. The kids were playing, that sort of thing. Not a complaint, just so you know the ambiance. I was headed somewhere else when I heard two staff (maybe the owners) out front speaking in Japanese. I had to try it. It's really good - not sure you can find more authentic Japanese in the city. I had the katsu curry and I'd put it up against any that I had in Japan.

The food here is beyond delicious! This is a family-owned spot where the food is made with lots of love. I’m obsessed with C.O.M.E. and the prices are right. Zero complaints. I’d rate this place beyond a 5/5 if I could. Highly highly recommend.

We have been meaning to go here for awhile and it definitely exceeded all expectations. The daily set menu felt home cooked - and the restaurant itself was very welcoming. The portions were big and prices so reasonable (135 for the daily set menu) for the neighbourhood. We will definitely be back.

The daily set meal is healthy and homely Japanese food, very delicious and filling. Moreover, the price is reasonable, and I want to come every day for lunch.

I absolutely love this place! Cozy atmosphere, delicious and quality food, especially I like lunch of the day - it’s only $120 mxn but includes so much food - miso soup, bowl of rice, main dish, tea, and fruits. From 1 pm till 3 pm it’s line of people waiting for a table but normally it takes 15 min to wait. Also they have tables outside if you come with a pet. The staff is not always friendly, but the food is brought quickly enough. I wish you open from morning and close at night but the working hours from 1pm till 6pm. Thank you!

It’s a tiny place, very low key with amazing food. The service was attentive and quick. Everything was delicious and I’d come back to try more. The restaurant is very busy, so there might be a little wait time, but worth it!

Update of my last visit (I used to live a few blocks from this place and it was one of my favorite places to eat after work. With the time the place lost its quality, it's fine if you are looking for a cheap three course meal, but it is disappointing how the service is getting worse. The wait time is always long, because the service is slow, the owners are not giving the proper maintenence to this place, and the bathrooms are dirty also you can see through to the kitchen and it doesn't look hygienic. Sad

Bland and disappointing. The Gyoza and curry were as bland as the white rice. Better off getting equivalent from the grocery store or Costco. Waste of time and money.

Had gyoza, ensalada c.o.m.e, don arrachera. Mediocre. Not bad but we had higher expectations after reading the reviews. Salad felt healthy. Don was just alright, the root vegetable on it very bitter. Gyozas looked handmade, flavour good. The environment nice inside.

A disaster of a restaurant—waiting nearly an hour for half-decent food is simply not worth the hype or the time. Arriving on a Tuesday afternoon with just two parties ahead of me, I never expected to wait nearly 30 minutes just to be seated. There was a waitlist inside the restaurant, something I only discovered when another party arrived after me and wrote their names down. There was just a pen and paper, but no clear instructions—it would’ve been helpful to have a sign explaining the process for first-timers. During the wait, at least three parties left, and no staff member ever came outside to bring people in, which I thought was odd. Eventually, the waiting parties were let in, but only after a ridiculously long wait, long after the parties left. When finally seated, the service felt rushed, and the servers were completely indifferent—not even a smile. I ordered the meal of the day: chicken teriyaki with chickpeas, which included tea, miso soup, and rice. The tea took 10 minutes to arrive and was completely tasteless, just had the color of tea but no flavor. The miso soup came 25 minutes after ordering, which was insane for a miso soup. It was just okay, with some vegetables, but wasn’t worth the long wait (6/10). My main dish arrived a full 45 minutes after ordering, and by then, other customers were visibly annoyed. The chicken portion was small and served with a salad—but after watching the cooks handle lettuce with their bare hands, then touch their faces and clothing without washing their hands, I completely avoided it. Not appetizing at all. The chicken itself was okay—the sauce wasn’t overpowering, but it definitely wasn’t worth the wait (6.5/10). The rice didn’t even come with the chicken—it arrived 5 minutes later, which was absurd because it’s fundamental to the dish. Even then, the rice was just okay. Paying took another eternity, and by that point, I was just annoyed and disappointed. The waitstaff remained slow, uninterested, and completely disengaged. The whole experience lasted over an hour, which is just ridiculous for a simple lunch. The meal cost $145, which is reasonable and fair—but still not worth the frustrating hour-long wait. This place is simply not worth the hype, nor my time.

Overhyped and overcooked. I live on this street and this place is always packed. I went early with a friend while it was still quiet. The service was extremely slow. The fish was extremely overcooked. The flavours were not subtle as you expect for Japanese food but too sweet and just not good.
