We had a wonderful brunch experience. The salmon egg Benedict was delicious, one of the best I’ve had in a long time! The steak and eggs that my husband had was also really good. The bread pudding was absolutely delicious 😋 I am not much for desserts, but this one was fabulous! Our server was also very nice, and gave us great service. The music was great, overall a great experience. The hostess could smile a little, as she is the first impression as you walk in.
A 5-star experience, with no hesitations. Yilian and co-workers made sure our experience was exceptional in every way. Scenic waterfront views, covered outdoor seating available, and a beautiful interior dining area help provide the perfect ambiance. The various dishes sampled were on point and were individual works of art. The desserts are made on premises. Not inexpensive, but worth every penny. Looking forward to returning for weekend brunch. Hope to see you here!
My wife and I's must go every time we are in South Florida. We have been there 4-5 times and everything they exceed expectations. Try their special, chef never disappoints. Great staff, amazing food, and spectacular views from their patio.
We went to Juniper On The Water for our 32nd Anniversary and couldn't have been happier or treated better. Valet parking was respectful, our server was super sweet, the atmosphere was beautiful, and the food was cooked perfectly and delicious. They made our night even more special for recognizing our special night. Thank you all!!!
I came in for happy hour. The happy hour options are great! I had 4 plates and some drinks.. the Juniper Moscow Mule cocktail which was fantaaaastic!!! My bartender Eddie was super friendly, attentive and he answered all my questions promptly! I highly recommend this place! 5 star service!
We had an incredible dinner at Juniper on the Water, located at the Hemispheres condominiums in Hollywood, Florida. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. I ordered the Hemisphere’s Mai Thai, and it was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had—perfectly balanced and just the right amount of kick. For my entrée, I went with the mahi mahi special, and it was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. My wife had the sea bass, which was equally outstanding—tender, buttery, and beautifully plated. Our server, Eduardo, was the highlight of the evening. He was attentive, friendly, and made us feel truly welcomed. He offered great recommendations and timed everything perfectly. The waterfront view added the perfect backdrop to our meal, making the experience feel relaxed yet upscale. We will absolutely be returning on our next trip to the area. Highly recommend!
Located in the picturesque setting of Florida, Juniper on the Water is a hidden gem boasting breathtaking views, tantalizing drinks, and a laid-back atmosphere. Nestled along the waterfront, diners are treated to stunning vistas while enjoying their favorite cocktails. The drinks menu is diverse and offers a refreshing array of options to suit every palate. Whether you're sipping a classic mojito or indulging in a signature concoction, each sip is a delight. The ambiance is cool and inviting, perfect for a casual evening with friends or a romantic date night. Juniper on the Water effortlessly combines great views, nice drinks, and a cool atmosphere, making it a must-visit destination in Florida.
Went for happy hour and it was so delicious! The plates all had varying flavors and came at the perfect temperature. The service was very attentive and going at golden hour made the lighting incredible inside
Amazing experience from start to finish. Came on a Saturday with my husband for an intimate brunch. Valet is included, but we tipped the valet guy accordingly. Brunch includes bottomless mimosas, Bellini, bloody mary, and sparkling champagne. There is inside and outside seating available (both are picture perfect). The menu captures all breakfast and lunch favorites, but designed for a certain type of people $$$. Thank you to Paula for her service!!
This was our second time in town coming to Juniper On The Water and let me tell ya it didn't disappoint! We love this place! The food is fantastic and it feels like a hidden gem!
Ana provided exceptional service as our server. Upon our arrival, she warmly welcomed us and offered fantastic suggestions. I opted for an espresso martini, followed by ahi tuna nachos as an appetizer, avocado toast, and the bread pudding. Every dish was exquisite, and we enjoyed the outdoor view accompanied by a gentle breeze throughout our meal.
On a whim, we decided to try Juniper’s on the Water, and we are so glad we did. The food was outstanding. We started with the crab cake appetizer, which was delicious-the remoulade was just the right amount of flavor and heat. We then had the clam chowder and cesear salad, both very good. The star of the evening was the sea bass. Cooked to perfection, we enjoyed every last bite. The owners were very friendly, and treated us as if we were guests in their home. The restaurant itself is quite lively, and the tables on the water provide the perfect ambiance. Can’t wait to go back!
Juniper on the water is a perfect spot for great food, chilled atmosphere and beautiful views of boats cruising down the intercostal. Food is prepared fresh! The pancakes are amazing, the shrimps and grits are a must, the fruit are sweet and the COCONUT MOJITOS ARE PHENOMENAL!!!!!!!
Had the Chilean seabass and a side lobster. Couple of drinks. Everyone else had a filet that were perfectly cooked and the flavor was amazing. Service was excellent and tge view was great as well. Eddie was excellent and really took care of us. Highly recommend if in north Miami area.
A Delightful Waterfront Experience: A Review of Juniper on the Water Nestled along the serene waterfront, Juniper on the water offers an exquisite dining experience that seamlessly blends exceptional food, attentive service, and picturesque surroundings. Griselle, our waitress, demonstrated impeccable service during our dining experience. Her attentiveness and genuine hospitality truly set the tone for a memorable evening. We started our culinary journey with the fish tacos, a tantalizing blend of fresh, flaky fish nestled in warm tortillas, accompanied by vibrant toppings that burst with flavor. The street corn was a delightful surprise, complemented by the sweetness of charred corn and savory undertones.Even the kids' menu surpassed expectations, with the grilled cheese sandwich boasting gooey melted cheese sandwiched between perfectly toasted bread, and the buttered pasta eliciting satisfied smiles from our young ones. As we savored each bite, we couldn't help but appreciate the inviting vibes and ambiance that enveloped us. The gentle lapping of the water against the dock combined with the soft glow of lights created an atmosphere of tranquility and relaxation, making it the perfect setting for a memorable meal. In conclusion, Juniper on the water is a hidden gem that excels in every aspect, from its delectable cuisine to its impeccable service and charming ambiance. Whether you're seeking a romantic dinner for two or a family-friendly outing, this waterfront haven is sure to exceed your expectations. We can't wait to return for another culinary adventure.
This is the best place I've ever been. The food is absolutely divine. I was so anxious to eat all that I forgot to take pictures of it. The staff is nice and the order was prepared quickly. I reserved using open table and the table was ready. We were 2 people and spend 150 usd including the tip. There is also a valet parking that belongs to the hotel and you only need to tip the worker.
What can we say about this place? First, Raquel at the bar was amazing, greeted us in such a welcoming and friendly manner, she’s a delight. Atmosphere is incredible, low key Florida design with an open space and nice bare. We were here for Happy hour and split the calamari which was a nice tapas portion. For Maine course my wife got a Cesar salad and sliders and I had the Paella. All was from the Happy Hour menu and was excellent. Can’t recommend enough, especially when Raquel is at the bar!
For content creation, I visit many restaurants all over the country and I assure that … Great service from Eduardo, Eddie was very cordial. I usually don't drink alcohol, but I assure you that the margarita he made will definitely make me come back. His attention made the wait very pleasant for my companion. I am delighted with this aspect and the warm welcome. Looking forward to trying their food and seeing how the service continues. Without a doubt, they deserve my 5 stars for now.
Are. Seating was at 7 pm, when we arrived our table outside on the deck was ready, thank you Emma. Our server Grace was very knowledgeable when it came to the menu and service. Our appetizers were served promptly as were our drinks. Our meal was deliciously crafted. We enjoyed our meal and atmosphere. Thank you Grace.
Been coming here for years! Recently, their drink menu has been revamped and it’s the best! We had Yolanda as our bartender one night and Katie for brunch and dinner! The brunch, cocktails and dinner menu is exquisite! Amazing bayside views and friendly staff! Be sure to try the mezcal margarita and cucumber Margarita!
We are here on vacation. My boyfriend and I were walking and happened across their sign and we decided to go check it out. The restaurant is stunning. Great views from the inside and the outside seating areas. The food was amazing. I highly recommend the ribeye. I also had a mixed drink called purple rain that was delicious. The staff was amazing. Our server Stacie was so kind and welcoming. I highly recommend this restaurant. We will be returning.
Thursday, August 3rd, 2023 Birthday Party Celebration 11pp we stayed between 7pm-11pm ($153.00 for 2pp w/tax/tip) Hallandale Beach Coastal Waterfront Dining Cuisine Mediterranean Menu, New American Seafood & Steak PARKING Valet Parking only -Monday thru Friday $7 -Saturday thru Sunday $10 -Holidays $14 ***Looks like you're driving into condominiums however go through security gate and valet is there for the venue in the back*** FOOD & DRINKS absolutely outstanding (5 stars); we had the grilled octopus, seafood paella and seafood pasta but our large party table had all kinds of appetizers, entrees and delicious beverages....no one complained, everyone was smiling, happy and shared; no one's plate had left overs. The drinks were made good and strong; when my husband says "oh yeah" like the kool-aid guy from Family Guy, that means they made it strong. People were ordering back to back drinks all around. SERVICE Our server was simply flawless; zero mistakes on any aspect of the entire service. Pleasant, friendly, professional, timely, efficient, and completely on her game. SEATING Our large party sat at a massive double high top table and the seats were comfortable; there were additional seating outback facing the water & marina LIVE MUSIC & DANCING Perrrrrrrrrrrrfection and multi talented; I couldn't keep my eyes off the duo. Flawless vocals; playing the trumpet, maracas and piano as if they played them from birth. They even sang happy birthday to the guest of honor which was lovely. A lot of salsa and merengue music.....had the guests up and dancing including 2 small children. Even the intermission music was good. Who ever is managing this venue knows exactly what they're doing!!!!! Bravo to the entire chef and crew. We will be back to sit outback to enjoy the sunset/water. My only suggestion is to hire two professional dancers to perform and then dance with guests like the Dirty Dancing movie.
Everyone ordered something different and it was all wonderful. Surf n turf, Chilean sea bass, burger, and lobster.. Ladies 1/2 price drinks tonight but only one of age so they brought out some mango lemonade for the younger ladies which was delicious. Steak was tender; everything (including sides) was flavorful. Mac n cheese was so good! Had a table and drink change and staff took it in stride — Eddie was a great server. Finished up with the bread pudding — not my typical choice but SO glad we went for it. We were able to sit overlooking the water with patio fans to support the breeze and overall a very pleasant experience. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area.
Unbelievable intracoastal waterway views and above and beyond service from our waiter, Ana. She was friendly and professional, with outstanding recommendations to boot - she recommended a rum mule and the crispy tuna rice to our table which were both great (the mules alone I would come back for!). Chilean seabass was buttery and the portion was generous (8oz fish, plenty of rice and bok choy). Everything was beautifully presented. Great experience for one of our party member's birthday.
Raquel, our waitress at Juniper, provided exceptional service that made our dining experience truly memorable. Her engaging conversation about Spanish cuisine added a personal touch, and her guidance in selecting dishes was invaluable. Raquel even introduced us to Jorge, the talented cook behind an innovative Spanish paella we enjoyed. Jorge's culinary skills were evident in every bite. Overall, thanks to Raquel's warmth and Jorge's culinary expertise, our visit was nothing short of outstanding.
Our best meal of a five day stay in Hollywood! Our evening was perfect in every way. Phenomenal service from Jose. He was warm, welcoming, and funny. He recommended the Juniper Martini - cucumber with a salted cumin rim. Very tasty and refreshing. Their lobster bisque is a favorite and the grilled octopus was divine. His clam bake included 1/2 lobster, clams, mussels, shrimp, andouille, corn, and tiny new potatoes. My 1/2 lobster was perfectly prepared and my side of Brussels sprouts crispy and citrus. Plus we had a table on the Intercoastal so were treated to a lovely sunset. Highly recommend!!
Place is perfect for date nights, anniversaries or if you're looking for a place you just can't go wrong with anything you order. Because this is the place. Guys You wanna impress your date ? Take her here. The server will ask , inside or outside ? Go for outside seating, because the view is amazing , just like you and your date. The oysters 🤌🤌🤌🤌 order a dozen . Tastes just like they got them out the ocean 10 mins ago. You won't regret it. Then go for the braised lamb shanks ...so tender and savory. That's it. She'll love you forever for taking her there. She'll love it so much, she'll propose to you. So yes , Juniper on the water is the place to go to. Definitely coming back here. Also don't forget to bring cash to tip the server and valet. Thank you Ana our server for being awesome.
This is my first restaurant visit in Florida and I had the pleasure of being served by Miriam, Paula, Katelyn and Dasha as well as the lovely bartender, Eduardo. The food was exceptional, I recommend the miso Chilean seabass! I felt very welcomed and taken care of by the servers. Exceptional service and amazing food
Had a really sweet experience at Junipers this evening . Raquel was such a warm delight and attentive. Food was amazing and the juniper martini was delish and refreshing. Everyone was kind and I’d definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area looking for a great place to eat with great service.
Took my girlfriend for a mother's day dinner and it was fantastic! They called earlier to confirm the reservation, which was a great, then a nice table by the water was open for us, then some really nice waitresses came to take order and help and food was served EXTREMELY quick, which tells me that they know a thing or 2 about fast operation of a busy service establishment. Kuddos to the management and to the crew! Will come back again!!
On vacation and made reservations for brunch. Arrived and seated right away at the last table on the deck. Awesome waitstaff, kept the water glass ful. Bottomless mimosa glass kept FULL! Food appetizing and tasty. They included 18% gratituity in the bill (not a problem, because I tip 18% and better). Wonderful experience!
A Hidden Gem with Unbeatable Views and Incredible Food We had an amazing experience dining at this Intracoastal waterfront spot in Hallandale Beach. The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. To start we had the spicy tuna with the crunchy rice I had the paella and my husband had the burger. We didn’t have alcoholic drinks but soda and lemonade which was delicious. No room for dessert unfortunately. The service was top-notch as well; staff were attentive, friendly, and genuinely made us feel welcome throughout the meal. What really sets this place apart is the view. Watching the ships glide by on the Intracoastal while the sun sets is something truly special — it adds a magical touch to the whole experience. It’s the kind of view that makes you want to linger long after dessert. That said, the outdoor grounds and railing area could use a little love. A bit of sprucing up and maintenance would elevate the ambiance to match the quality of the food and service. It’s not a dealbreaker by any means, but with such a prime location, some improvements to the outdoor space would make it truly exceptional. We’ll definitely be back — this place is a gem, especially if you time your visit around sunset!
I'm giving 4/5 stars because my husband and I had a really nice time here. There were some flaws with the food but the service was excellent and the view was good. I ordered one of the specials they had, I believe it was the miso grouper with bok choy and rice. The fish was overcooked and flavorless, the bok choy was basically raw but the rice was good. Was it worth the $40? No but oh well. My husband ordered the greek salad, which he enjoyed. We also had oysters. They were large, not properly cleaned, didn't have any moisture left to them and were hard to eat. They were hard to eat because they were still attached to the shell, so we had to do the work to scrape them off. Maybe this is typical in Florida, I don't know. Overall, the service made up for the food.
Great food. Service was less than for a restaurant like that. Server never asked us if we wanted another cocktail, nor did they ever ask if we wanted coffee or dessert. We waited a long time and finally got someone to bring us the check. For food that tasted great and a location that is beautiful they need to step up the service. Hopefully, it was just a bad night. Not anything that would prevent me from going back!
The service was great. The food was just okay, but nothing better than an average diner. The eggs any style were a bit too buttery and the vegeterian frittata was just ok (probably would have been better if they used another cheese, like fetta). Thr fish tacos were good. Generally, I don't like giving bad reviews to restaurants during the pandemic because they are having a hard time as it is. This place is nice as long as you expect a diner type place and not a brunch restaurant.
Juniper On The Water is a very nice restaurant with a beautiful view. I think that’s the main selling point, and sitting outside on the water is the best part of eating here. I thought the food was good, but incredibly overpriced. Portions are small for what you’re paying for. $32 for 1/2 cup of noodles and 5 broiled shrimp seems like a lot to me. My husband got the seafood pasta for $38. It wasn’t enough food and he was still hungry afterwards. And we had apps & drinks too…so it was kind of frustrating to pay a $150 tab and not be full….so for that, I give it 3.5 stars. Pasta is cheap…you can add more noodles to the dish. I will say the service was great. Great server and great host.
Richie, our server was fantastic. Attentive, but not intrusive. The food was fabulous! My Shrimp and Grits were seasoned perfectly and the shrimp were large . I would give it 5 stars except the Hostess needs some improvement on customer service skills, however she was able to find a table for us during Brunch on a Sunday .
Really beautiful place with nice interior. Recommend to sit outside at night time. Beautiful view and fresh air. But sadly taken off one star for service because we had to wait for our server for very long time and it wasn’t busy at that moment and when we had to pay our server disappeared. We were waiting 20 minutes and after that had to go to the manager to find our server so we can pay and leave. But over all definitely recommend this place.
Delicious food an incredible setting with views over over looking the river. We took our grandparents here for their 50th anniversary. Chelsea, our waitress, took amazing care of us and we were a party of 8. She was a real professional and got all our our orders perfect, never once writing anything down. As a lifelong service industry person myself, it is alway impressive to see this talent. I would have loved to give five stars but the lady who called us to confirm our reservation and the hostess were just to rude to forgive.
The reservation process was very simple. We arrived and seated at a great location outside on the water. Nice to watch the boats come in through the waterway. Had a nice Salad that was shareable and had the sea bass. Very good with mushrooms accompaniment. Very laid back atmosphere and great server. There was a charge for the valet parking but it was pretty easy. This was a recommendation and was pleased.
El lugar es agradable, el ambiente es bueno, hoy estaba tocando un grupo muy bueno,la comida buena...nada del otro mundo,el postre si nada que ver
Let’s start with the pros, great food and value! Drinks were great! Descent portions and ambiance and views were amazing. The con for me was the restroom being outiside and the fact of us moving from a table to the bar we needed to close the tap and open a new one, we decided not to order. Last, I parked and when getting to the restaurant a lady just scream at me “valet” which is right in front of the restaurant so for me this valet made no sense! Just a charge on my card for something I could do
Was disappointed in this place as reviews had said good things. The service here was poor all around. Our bartender disappeared and we couldn’t find her to settle the bill before sitting at our table. Our server was very inattentive from the appetizers on (pretty much after we ordered our shared dinner). He abandoned us for nearly a half hour as we watched him serve another party and he hardly apologized at the end. We almost left without bothering with dessert because no one was paying us attention. Other staff were reluctant to help us or didn’t know what the food was that they were giving us. As a server myself, it was very upsetting to see. The appetizers were good with a nice Mediterranean flair but the dinner portion was just average for how expensive it is and not too flavorful. Overall would not recommend because the food was not tasty enough to offset the service/prices and had more positive experiences elsewhere on S Ocean Dr.
Nice place by the canal. We had brunch, and the food was quite good. Unfortunately most of the personel was extremely uninterested. We did have a great server though, Danielle, whitout her the service rating would be zero. I would say that they do not at all reach the level of similar restaurants in the area.
Juniper On The Water boasts a picturesque waterfront view of the Intracoastal Waterway, creating a pleasant atmosphere. However, my dining experience was marred by the disappointing steak and egg - the steak was underseasoned and lacked the expected quality. The calamari, though flavorful, was unfortunately chewy. On a positive note, the service was attentive, but regrettably, the overall enjoyment suffered due to the unsatisfactory food quality.
The service is top notch here, excellent customer service. I visited for brunch. The avocado toast was fresh and good. We also has a burger. It was over cooked and dry. On the bright side, the french fries were perfect. Also, a great place for bottomless mimosas 🍹 The ambiance is great also. I will definitely visit again.
When we arrived the place was almost empty. They almost forced us to sit at a table with the high chairs, saying that the other tables were reserved and the so-called customers never came. The service was Ok. The menu was quite lacking in options. The food was nothing to write home about, for the price it could be much better. The worst lemonade I've ever had in my life made with artificial lemon. For the rest we had a nice time celebrating my wife's birthday.
We originally had reservations for 17:45 and needed to push until later. When I called, they said the latest time was 18:45 and there was NOTHING for any other time. When we arrived, the restaurant was definitely not anywhere near full capacity for inside or outside seating: they could easily have accepted any walk-ins and could have allowed us to change our reservations for later. Other than that, our server, Emily, was amazing! She was extremely attentive and friendly. Food was super yummy and portions were perfect for sharing!
Beautiful restaurant and nice inter coastal outdoor seating. Brunch menu very limited with zero flexibility. Asked for an egg white omelet and they wouldn’t make any eggs without yolks even though I offered to pay extra. No gluten free bread, waffles, pancakes. Eggs Benedict overcooked and were actually hard boiled eggs. Manager was nice and asked if we wanted anything else. Not likely to return anytime soon. I have cholesterol issues and food sensitivities and this place is strictly by the menu with zero flexibility.
Beautiful setting with food that fell short of the mark. The intercoastal views are beautiful, relaxing and a perfect setting for an anniversary meal. The food however, fell short of the mark. The calamari were excellent. Lightly battered and fried. The seafood pasta was a let down. The chorizo was heavy handed and overpowered the entire dish making it not enjoyable. Generous serving of seafood which was well cooked and tasted nice. Those bits that had escaped the overpowering chorizo were tasty. I imagine without the chorizo, this dish would have been quite good. The seafood paella was beautiful to look at. However, the rice was quite a bit underdone, accompanied again with a strong chorizo taste that drowned out the variety of seafood in the dish. Large chunks of chorizo with nearly every bite made the dish un-enjoyable. Pleasant evening with a stunning view. I feel without getting as lucky as we did with the view, the overall feeling of the evening would have been far lower. Expensive meal with a lot of disappointment.
Walking in to the restaurant, the decor is inviting and the ambiance is great. Unfortunately the food and the service left much to be desired. Oysters had to be sent back because there was barely any meat in the shells. Skirt steak was overcooked. Asked for more sauce, it never came. Kept having to request more water. I think the brownie for dessert was the highlight of the meal. It’s a beautiful restaurant right on the water, but honestly not enough to bring me back.
Had dinner at this restaurant situated in front of the Hollywood intercoastline. It was hard to get a reservation on OpenTable on a Monday night but when we got there the restaurant was literally empty. Our first impression the valet and hostess were not too friendly. The inside/outside decor was casual nothing fancy. Nice outdoor seating to watch the sunset but the sun can be hot and blinding if you sit close to the water. If you plan to siting there go a little after the sun goes down. We had catch of the day which was yellowtail snapper with roasted potatoes and daily special skirt steak with added shrimp and potatoes. We enjoyed both dishes but at $55 for catch of the day we thought it was excessive pricing even for that location. For drink we got strawberry mojito and Moscow mule both very good. They also automatically added 18% gratuity which we would have tipped at least 20% as our server was good but decided not to tip extra. I am glad we tried it as it was highly recommended by locals but didn't meet the value for the price.
This place looked great based upon the reviews, but extremely deceiving. Overall, the location and the views are amazing unfortunately that’s where the positive ends. The food was average but expensive.the views were drowned out by loud dance music. It even got worse when my wife needed to use the ladies room to find out. It was a porta potty in the parking lot. It seems that the bathroom has been nonfunctional for months you would think a place like this would fix their plumbing issues with urgency . Will not be coming here again overpriced for what you get
15$ for bread, arugulas and smoked bacon :) at home u can make it for 3$ total. Okay I may understand that u guys have an expensive rent here but you forget one thing . People come firstly for the food and then view. Waiters are good but overall is horrible and one more time HORRIBLE. I’m writing this review while I’m here and I can say for sure I’m not gonna come here again! If you want to enjoy a drink and view this is place can fit you but if you want to eat you better find something else
We went for brunch and, unfortunately, left very disappointed. We requested to sit outside, where several tables near the entrance were dirty. Rather than cleaning one for us, we were seated in a corner with no air circulation, as the fans in that area were not rotating. Staff should be aware of this and make an effort to seat guests in more comfortable spots—especially when the restaurant isn’t busy. There were maybe 10 parties total, far from full capacity for a typical brunch spot. When our server came to take our drink order, it took almost 15 minutes to receive the drinks, and she never brought us water despite the 90-degree heat. A young gentleman eventually brought some water, just as our appetizers arrived. The food itself was fine, and we expected small portions for brunch. However, our server never returned to take our entrée order. After waiting for some time, we decided to ask for the check and went elsewhere for lunch. When we stated we were not going to order entrees she proceeded to wipe our table with us still sitting there. Garnish from the food went flying on the lap. We spent $80 on two drinks and three small appetizers: 10 pieces of calamari, two small tuna rice bites, and half an ear of corn split into four pieces. The service and value simply did not meet expectations. Not to forget the $10 valet, since with all the construction it makes it impossible to park.
Valet parking. Formal attire. But some were not dressed formal. Not as “high end” as they seem. Pointless to make reservations. We wanted seating by the water and was told it would be about 30mins, we didn’t mind waiting well we ended up waiting for an hour and a half. We ordered the greek salad, shrimp scampi, lobster bisque, juniper burger, kids chicken tenders and kids noodles with shrimp. Everything was great at first. The staff was friendly. I got my salad and my kids/mother got their food. Everything tasted great. My kids/mother ate and finish their meals. The waitress barley checked on us and after my mom/kids were done eating which took a while she came and asked if we wanted dessert. My husband and I never got our entrées. They had said they were short staffed when we got there and we understood, but it is unacceptable that my husband and I were forgotten about. I asked her if she can discount our meal since she forgot about us. She said no that she had got side tracked doing other stuff but we “were not forgotten about”. Completely unacceptable. A manager never came over and asked how we were doing. I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND. For the price we paid I expected better service.
Please be extra cautious and review your bill before you leave the restaurant. I realized that I was charged $127 for a steak which was about 6oz size with half a lobster tail. This was one of the specials of the day so it was not listed on the menu & my husband failed to ask the price when ordering. We were a party of 4 people and multiple dishes were ordered therefore cost was easily overlooked. We were busy having a good time & did not review the bill when it was presented for payment. My complaint is not a matter of money but a matter of principal. I don’t appreciate being robbed of my hard earned money! Restaurants need to be honest & transparent about their prices and not take advantage of people like this. Juniper lost a customer that was actually considering returning frecuently! I will take my business elsewhere as a result. Shame on you Juniper restaurant!
