Nice place, quite quiet, the waitress was attentive, and the beer was pretty good. I was just passing through and it feels like a place to chat and have a snack. I don't understand all the criticism... I'll definitely be back since it's a regular stop for me. P.S.: It's not a dive bar; it's a very quiet place to have a snack and a drink while enjoying good company or being alone.

Really great old-school spot if you want to get some authentic history on you. This is in a suburb of Merida called San Juan and established in 1666 and was the first neighbourhood and has stood the test of time and is an excellent spot to go hang out and shop, eat, drink and just enjoy an authentic Mexican experience….🇨🇦🙏🇲🇽

This is a gem - beer is cold, service is friendly and welcoming. The botanas are good - we can’t wait to see a band here one night.

A cantina with affordable prices. They offer Tecate and XX Lager shots. They don't serve many snacks, and the place is quite clean. It's across from San Juan Park. The service is generally good. A good place to stop for refreshments, but not a good option for lunch.

A great place to stop for a beer before continuing your journey. I appreciated the service, the decor is fantastic, and the building itself has a rich history. I've been visiting this city for many years and have seen this building change quite a few times.

The place is spacious, it might seem like a dive but it's a decent place, the beer is reasonably priced at $100 pesos, the snacks are fried pork rinds, bland but filling kibbeh, popcorn, and tostadas. For the experience or the anecdote, it's fine. I visited on a Saturday at 4 PM.

I went for cocktails, but they weren't available; maybe I went too early. I had a few beers. Nothing special. Maybe I should come back later in the evening.

It could be cool, but no... be careful what they charge. They charged us $10 extra per bucket and even asked if we could keep the change (referring to keeping the change, despite the poor service). Very few snacks. Good music, clean bathrooms.

Had the waiter cared, I would have had many more beers and tipped much more, but he clearly thought ignoring us was a better option.

What a waste of a place. They only sell Tecate Light beer, the only snack is liver (cold and tasteless), and the service leaves much to be desired. A waste of such a beautiful place. If I could, I'd give it zero stars, but I can't.

Terrible. The customer service is awful, which is why there are no customers. They advertise that they don't have snacks, claiming the kitchen closes at 5 pm, even though the bar closes at 10 pm. I don't recommend it; it was a very unpleasant experience.

They no longer sell food, the service is terrible, the staff is awful, and the drinks are outrageously expensive. 90 pesos for a small glass of vodka and 50 pesos for a 355ml soda is outrageous.
