Excellent food and service. Great strip mall location too. Although, I heard they were closing for good next month due to owner's retirement.... Which saddens me after so many decades of serving us hungry, Italian food loving Miamians. Good luck to the Nunzio family and thank you for having served us so well.
This is a great family run Italian restaurant that has been around for years. I used to come here with my grandparents as a kid and now I bring my own kids here. Food is always delicious and the service is friendly.
If you been to miami and haven't eaten here,. You haven't visited Miami

This classic Italian restaurant has consistently been an amazing choice. I recommend the pizza and for desert zupetta or capucino which are both delicious.
Value for money the best Italian restaurant in Miami. Great homemade pasta. The owner is very friendly. Great place!!
Food was delicious. I love their bruschetta! Service was prompt and friendly. Their special lasagna with white sauce was superb.
Amazing food, great service. We always feel like family when we go. Simply the best!
For a true Italian experience, the best place to go. I love their gnocchi and unbelievable Zuppeta. There is nothing else like it! Yum!
Hadn't been here in over 15 years. Food was excellent and it had nice family atmosphere. Would definitely go back.
Just an amazing, home-style restaurant. Family owned and has delicious food. Can't recommend anything because it is all just so good.
The food is amazing...true Italian home style food. Cozy family style restaurant with great service.
My favorite little Itlalian restaurant is a true family owned establishment that has been serving the best authentic dishes for over 30 years. LOVE U NUNZIOS
Been coming here for years and have yet to find another Italian restaurant of this caliber anywhere near this area. The only thing is that it would be a good idea to call in before during Summer to check if the family is away to Italy; the restaurant closes during this time.
I've been going to this restaurant since I was a kid and it is one of my favorites! I always order their pizza and baked ziti. They are must haves!
Authentic small Italian restaurant - the kind of place where you could see an Italian birthday or wedding celebration. reminds me of the original Mario the baker that used to be on West Dixie in North Miami.
My mom heard about Nunzio's years ago from an Italian patient of hers, which was his favorite restaurant. We've been coming for years, love the good, love the ambience, and have always been satisfied!
All I can say is GOOD WITH EXCELLENT ON THE SIDE.....staff was friendly, atmosphere was nice and the main attraction beside my girlfriend was the food....fresh food cook into perfection.. We will return..
I'm going to describe it in one word: DELICIOUS. I tried the fettuccini Alfredo and added chicken and it was amazing. I always love going to that place and I'm looking forward to going again.
Was and still is my favorite Italian restaurant . The stuffed shells are amazing and service is always the best. More like eating at a friends house :)
Great food & very good & cheap wine. We have the spaghetti & clam sauce. Really good.
Amazing homemade food and excellent service. Still a homey welcoming little place after 30+ years!
THE END OF AN ERA OF BEAUTIFUL MEMORIES 1974 TO 03/25/2022. I HAVE BEEN GOING TO NUNZIO'S SINCE 1976 WHEN THEY WERE ON SW 97 AVE & CORAL WAY & CONTINUED GOING AT SW 40 ST & 114 AVE UNTIL THEIR LAST DAY WHICH WAS YESTERDAY 03/25/2022. MY HEART ACHES TO NO LONGER HAVE BIRTHDAY, ANNIVERSARY, RETIREMENT CELEBRATIONS AT NUNZIO'S. I ALWAYS REMEMBER GILDA & NUNZIO, TWO BEAUTIFUL & LOVING PARENTS & THEIR 3 SONS WORKING DILIGANTLY & UNCONDITIONALLY TO MAKE THE RESTAURANT A SUCCESS. AND A SUCCESS IT WAS. UNFORTUNATELY FOR US , BUT FORTUNATELY FOR ROBERTO THE OWNER, WHO DECIDED TO RETIRE AND CLOSE THE RESTAURANT. AFTER HIS MOM & DAD PASSED AWAY, HE MADE HIMSELF A PROMISE TO CONTINUE THE FAMILY BUSINESS AND THAT PROMISE HAS BEEN FULFILLED. IT IS TIME FOR HIM TO RELAX AND ENJOY LIFE. YOU ALL ARE A BEAUTIFUL FAMILY! WE LOVE YOU ROBERTO, BIAGIO & THE REST OF THE FAMILY AND WISH YOU ALL THE BEST IN THE FUTURE. GOD BLESS Y'ALL TODAY AND ALWAYS. XOXOXOXO FOREVER MORE ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Excellent Italian restaurant, loved the food, and how cozy is the place. Excellent services.
the very best Italian food, family owned for over 40 years, I love their Alfredo Nunzio
Great place, been coming here for years. At Nunzio’s they make you feel like your coming home to the family. Love the place.
The Best homemade Italian Food in Miami! The dessert (Zupetta) is amazing!! Highly recommend ❤
I have been dining with them since the early 1980s. When they were located on coral way. Still fantastic!
Best Italian food in Miami, has been around for a long time. Every time I go the food has been great.
Excellent we had meatballs the chicken parm and chicken white parm cheese cake thin spaghetti and sauce salad bread all were great Thank you
So sad to see this place go, its one of the best family owned Italian restaurants out there!
4.5 out of 5 stars. Between like and loving it. I have to say the Manicotti, Eggplant Parm, Chicken Parm, Veal Parm, Cavatelli, lentils soup, ricotta cheesecake, and zupetta are what I definitely really like. besides the stuffed peppers. My fav. is Eggplant Parm, Chicken Parm, lentils soup, and of course the sandwiches when I go there during lunch hours. I hate cheesecake from anywhere and anyplace that I've tried; I cannot eat cheesecake for the life of me; besides the gelatin cheesecake that I made, yet I can actually eat the ricotta cheecake over here and not feel sick of the texture but feeling soo wanting more of it. It's this light airy cheesecake that the texture and consistency of it is very balanced and airy. To feel really good, you would definitely need two slices of this R. Ccake --it's heavenly delicious cuz it's like something frm heaven. It's defi. worth it, even if you're very lactose intolerant. Other than that, if you need something satisfying quick and into chocolate, then the Zuppetta is for you. I heard from friends that they like the tirimisu. I haven't tried the tirimisu yet. You could even have the dishes changed up and anyway you want it if you ask on the spot. Pizza and Calzone are a must try at this place. They're the best when you eat them hot from the oven; otherwise, it won't taste that great. For me, the bruschetta and sicilion pizza are amazing. Usu. I get the bruschetta. - I think on Friday and Saturday nights it's jus packed crowded and noisy; that's the only downside. -esp. if you wanna eat in peace and quiet. -wished you could eat outside or something. All tables are only inside.
Awesome genuine southern Italian food in a pleasant family owned restaurant. My husband and I have been going there for the last 30 years and we have never been disappointed.
This is the best Italian restaurant in Miami. Great authentic food. Meat lasagna with the cheese breads is my favorite then finish it off with a cappuccino. Highly recommend.
I love this restaurant. The staff and owner are friendly and helpful. I've been coming here 20+ years and it's the only Italian restaurant I go to.
A neighborhood gem. Been around for decades. Great thin crust pizza and anti pasto. Next favorite is the chicken parmigiana. Save room for the zuppetta and capacino. (Dessert and coffee).
Food feels authentic homemade and taste beyond delicious. Atmosphere is relaxed, unsophisticated. Service is very good. Great value for the quality.
Delicious pizza and garlic rolls, service was great as well! Had an early dinner and by 7pm restaurant was pretty much a full house, wil be back again and again!
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. The place feels very homey. I've been eating here for 30 years, ITS AMAZING!
This is by far the best Italian food in Florida. Being from NY I have high standards and this place meets them all. One bite of the chicken parm and I'm back home in my family's kitchen. Thank you Nunzios!
I have been going to Nunzio's forever. The food is always good. The servers are family. I miss Mama and Papa may God keep this family safe.
Great family restaurant. Excelent food with real italian flavor. Perfect place to go with your family or celebrate with friends. You can also call and order the food and then pick it up.
True Italian cuisine, straight from the old country. Owned and operated by an Italian family from Napoli. After my trip to Italy I will never eat at another Italian restaurant other than Nunzios.
I love this restaurant. Dishes are authentic homemade Italian food. The tomato sauce is great and the desserts are awesome (try the Zuppetta).
Nunzio's Restorante is a MUST! For authentic Italian food and atmosphere, you definitely need this family run/owned restaurant on your bucket list. Don't leave Miami without visiting Nunzio's on 40th Street!
This the best Italian Restaurant in Miami, they have a great family atmosphere. THE OWNER IS SUPER NICE....who happens to be a waiter also. I have been coming here for years.
This is the best Italian food in South Florida, hands down. I've eaten here for at least 30 Years. Don't miss the pizza, pasta and Zupetta for desert!!!
Like home made Italian food. Excellent menu and specials. Deserts are yummy. Pizza is great. Have been a frequent customer for 35 years!
Food was so fresh! Not to mention the plates are the same as in Italy’s and they have a great variety. I loved the inside of the restaurant as well. Made me feel I was in Italy 🍝
I have been going to Nunzios for the past 22 years (Oh boy, I just aged myself) and it is THE ABSOLUTE BEST ITALIAN FOOD IN ALL OF MIAMI!!! I kid you not. Once you start frequenting it, you will never stop. Going there is like going to a friends house for dinner. The family who owns the place is ALWAYS there and the wait staff never changes. The restaurant is small and homey and you can literally just close your eyes and order whatever your finger lands on... you will not be disappointed. Please order the Zuppeta. It is a dessert like not other and I don't believe I have ever seen it anywhere else (and I eat out A LOT). I LOVE YOU NUNZIOS!!!
It was amazing being able to see their pics of the Italian 🌹family traditional restaurant, exellent service, 😁waitres and bus boy were attentive and their food 😋 was delicious the liquor dessert was made by the👨🍳 owner. 👍the best original ♥️ Italian restaunt we have been to.
We went there for dinner and it was some of the best home made tasting Italian food. Bread was warm and veal parmigiana was tender. We thought he servings were very proportionate. We will be back.
What can I say... my wife and I have visited Nunzio's since 1974. They used to be in a small little place on 97th Ave. and Coral Way. It was a hole in the wall, red and white checker table cloths, and the lines on Friday were quite long. I am a little sad cause I heard that the restaurant is closing its doors, and I know that there will never be another place like it, but I am sure it is for the best, and wish the owner the very best. Will miss it for sure... especially the red sauce... none like it.
Amazing family owned restaurant with daily specials! I had the Linguini in white wine sauce and Shrimp. I was really good with warm buttered bread and a side salad. For dessert I had Zeppto! It was soooo good! I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone visiting Miami for the first time.
First class food and service. Great taste and service with a friendly service. Been going here for 25 plus years! Good wine, cheese breads, chicken alfredo, nice desert. A family business.
I just read my favorite restaurant in the world is closing. Not much to say except 'thanks for the memories', actually Great Memories my family and I have enjoyed for generations. We wish you well for eternity. Mangia!!
Been going there for many years and they have never faltered in the consistancy of the deliciousness of their food. One of the owners is standoffish, but, so am I..it's not rudeness as another reviewer said. The other owner, his brother (though we've not seen him in a while there), is very friendly and personable.
I have been coming to this place for many years. They have a family atmosphere and the food is authentic Italian. Bring me good memories of my childhood. If you are looking for Italian comfort food, this is the place.
Amazing service (always) and delicious authentic italian food! My recommendation is to always order one of the "specials" because they're usually the BEST! Can't go wrong with the Tronchetti di Spinaci or Canneloni di Pollo. Please excuse any typos. I love this place because it's so cozy and intimate, great for a date, dinner with friends or even a family outing. I love that the plates come with bread and a house salad. The house salad is probably one of my favorites, believe it or not. And you can't forget to order a Zuppetta for dessert!!!!
What can I say about this place? We've been eating at Nunzio's for... I'm guessing over 40 years since they opened in the Sweetwater area Everytthing on the menu is excellent. Gnocchi, chicken parmigiana , eggplant parmigiana, pizzas, Gildas, etc. Try the brushetta (it's different than you get at other Italian restaurants) but one of my favorites. Service and food is always great and Roberto and Biagio are terrific. They are sure making Mama and Papa Nunzio proud. I highly recomend this little gem in Westchester! Thanks guys, for the excellent food we grew up on.
Absolutely love this restaurant! The food is amazing , the staff is friendly. This is just a very quaint place that makes you feel part of the family with each visit. Love love love
This place is a real gem. Not very big or very fancy but truly genuine home made italian food. You can feel the deep italian roots as soon as you walk in. I promise you that once you eat here you will become a regular!
Wow first time but definitely not the last! Enjoyed an extremely delicious veal with spaghetti. My girl got the baked ziti which was also scrumptious. Service was good with the owners flying all around the restaurant. Would highly recommend! Price also was right on.
We have been going to the Stanley restaurant for at least 23 years. Service is exceptional, food is extraordinary it's like walking into a family's home. My husband's favorite dish is the gnocchi, you can taste the potatoes and the sauce is incredible. The fettuccine Alla Nunzio's is my favorite. Creamy delicious, with ham and mushrooms. If you want real Italian food this is the place.
Amazing food and service! Authentic Italian American dishes with a welcoming ambience. Not a chain, which makes it a gem among imitators. They make you feel like you’re part of the family. Great ingredients and great portions. Try the zuppeta, you will not be disappointed.
Wow! This is a family oriented restaurant the food was amazing. I felt like I was in Naples, Italy. Great place and great food. It’s like a little gem hole in the wall place. Order whatever you want with your eyes closed it is great food. Bread looked deceiving - it was fresh out of the oven soft and steaming hot with great quality butter
This place is near and dear to me. Have been coming since I was a child. Family owned Italian restaurant. Food is great. It tastes like you walked into your Italian friends grandmother's house very authentic food. Love it.
We use to be regular customers but stopped going awhile back. Recently we were looking to cater a dinner and wanted 10 chicken parmigiana and pasta. No one else would do it accept Nunzio’s. The food was great they gave us a great price which included salad and bread. Thank you Nunzio’s, you brought us back as customers.

If you want to spend money on something that is worth tasting, I eat you visit this Italian restaurant, which is very up to what they offer and without a doubt is worth trying. I recommend the fettucine and the pizza with alfredo sauce, life itself

Great food, cozy atmosphere. The service is great. You may have to wait, it does get busy bit well worth the wait.
Good atmosphere. Good good. Fair prices. I encourage you to visit, relax, partake of wine, and enjoy good Italian food.
Food was good. But for some reason they charge 8% sales tax when everywhere else it’s 7%. Figure that one out :)
I have been attenting Nunzios for over 20 years. This italian restraunt is great. I have ate there countless times. I would recommend this place to anyone. Chicken parmigiana is my favorite.
Always great food, the service could be a little better 7 out of 10 on service, the wine could use a little revamping but in all, it was good as always. Been going there for years even they were located on coral way and 97 ave .....
It is a quaint little place. Very nice but very small and Har to tra erse through to your table. The staff was helpful and we were rated right away even though it was really busy. We got our bread a little late and the butter was frozen. Our house salad was an embarrassment. Agtef all of that the main dish came promptly and hot. The food was incredible. The pizza was delicious and perfect. My polpetonne was to die for. The final meal made the trip well worth it despite the shortcomings. Fix the salad and bread issue and they deserve more that 5 stars!
Food is solid, probably as good as your going to get as far as Italian in the area. Service wasn’t the best. They were just very understaffed with two servers and one bus boy for the entire restaurant. Would recommend for a sit down dinner or family lunch.
Haven't been to Nunzio's in a long time. Service was good. Salad and bread was provided just a few minutes after sitting down. Food was good and very hot. Nice italian-style dining room. Bring a jacket - it gets a little chilly.

Used to love this place, the food used to be great. I feel the consistency is not there anymore. It's a shame, because it was amazing before.
Had not been here for a few years and returned with friends...service was good...no complaints...i ordered a chicken parmigiana and side of spaghetti....just ok...plenty of food and good but not great...hybby had lasagna with. Bechamel sauce...again just ok and this is not a little cheap place. Bread and salad delish.
Excellent food, average prices good portions. Our waitress was Terrible (slow, forgetful) but I think other servers were much better. Dessert (zuppeta) was not memorable
To be fair, I’ll base our review against other mom & pop Italian restaurants...The good: the salad and dressing they use is delicious. Sweet & zesty. We ordered a small plain pizza as an appetizer and it was good, thin crust and good cheese. The bad: the meals come with just plan house bread no garlic rolls. I get it...trying to save a few bucks but most places give you at least 2 G-rolls each entree. The veal parm was too salty. The side pasta was ok but my wife liked it. The service was acceptable considering the current challenge all restaurants face now. They weren’t far from 4 stars and 5 is for the best top places. You get what you pay for here which is expected. No bad but not outstanding. Thanks
It's hard for me to rate this place 3 stars because it is a place my family and I have gone to for years. However, it really isn't that great. The pasta sauces have no flavor, pasta fillings have no flavor, I'm just not a fan of their pasta. Their pizza is alright and I love their calzones. My favorite thing on the menu is the cappuccino so be sure to try it. I really wish they would step up their past game though because it really is not the best.

Service was awful. Not one smile, people reaching over you while not saying excuse me or are you finished, basically treating you like a inconvenience to them. Food was sub par, salad was lettuce cores with a couple of slices of tomatoes, the entrees were covered with so much cheese it's all you could taste. Will not return
Coming here for over 32 yrs. Food is GOOD, but gotten TOO expensive for the area (pasta served at Coral Gables prices). Service has noticeably degraded (not the 1st time it happens) Dining room kind of empty, dining service very slow and not properly timed. OWNER needs to talk less to customers and monitor kitchen/servers. Also asked for entree to go at 9:15pm: ran out of salad and bread, are you serious? If owner keeps dropping the ball, business will continue to go down...what a shame. Good luck to all!
Looks cozy on first entering. Greeting was less than cordial after a minute or two of eye contact. I decided on take out. Simple spaghetti and meatballs were ordered. Having worked in an authentic Italian restaurant for a few years I was underwhelmed with the quality. In the restaurant business a warm smile and a pleasant disposition can compensate for a lot.
Been going here for over 25 years and it's sad to say, but the quality of my experiences here has significantly decreased. Within a two week period, I've ordered soup for takeout twice and both times, they had run out. The most recent time, I ordered the soup with no problem and as I was on my way to pick up my order, I received a call from the restaurant to tell me that there was no soup and it was only 7:15pm on a Thursday. Very disappointed.

Not a good place to have dinner, service is bad, food tastes frozen, and I saw the boxed spaghetti, not even fresh spaghetti. Bought probably from Publix overcooked and then served to you for $14
I’ve tried, really tried, for the sake of years of patronage, to give them the benefit of the doubt. But NO MORE. Tonight, for the likely the 5th time in last 6 orders, my order was wrong (my mistake in not checking closer). And when I called: “Oh, we didn’t have that in your order.” No, sorry, no how can we fix this. The owners are checked out and, let’s face it, the quality is no where close to what it once was. DO YOURSELVES A FAVOR, look to another place!!!!
Super slow service, the expresso was reheated, and tasted old. One of the waitresses was rude, tossing things on the table and rolled her eyes when I asked for the expresso. Will not be coming back, although the other staff seemed nice.
ORDERED FROM HERE LAST NIGHT .1 CHICKEN PARMIGIANA AND 2 EGGPLANT PARMIGIANA ,1 TIRAMISU ,1 CHEESECAKE.THE CHICKEN P THE PIECE OF CHICKEN WAS SO SO THIN AND LOAD WITH BURNED CHEESE ,THE TIRAMISU WAS ABOUT 2 X 2 INCHES VERY AVERAGE TASTE CHEESECAKE WAS ALSO VERY SMALL PIECE AS FAR AS EGGPLANT THAT WAS FOR SOMEBODY ELSE .DO YOURSELF A FAVOR PICK SOMETHING UP AT BURGER KING AND ENJOY. GARCIA
I visited the restaurant today for the first time with my son. We entered and waited at the lobby for about 15 min and no one came to assist us. At some point, a lady who seemed to be the cook, saw us standing by the front door waiting, but did not say a word or called anyone. After that, we just left. What a disappointment!
What a disgrace! Sticky and overcooked spaghetti, with tomato sauce that clearly came from a can, without any taste. Bistecca (steak) and vitello (veal) that was so dry and tasteless it resembled a baked shoe sole. Burrata was okay, but clearly not fresh, not italian and made from pasturished milk without any cream. Extemely overpriced ($14 for just plain overcooked sticky spaghetti) and bad service. Europeans and especially Italians be aware: STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESTAURANT.
Very expensive for the amount of food served if not for the mozzarella cheese melted on top of most items ordered. Flavors would be a bust! Items oredered were specials and entrees. So they may be known for pizza. YOU be the judge sorry but never again. So update..... it is now 4:55 am and fam is sick with food posioning. Masssive stomach upsets NOT A FUN NIGHT!
Incredibly slow service, only one person working during lunch rush hour. Little to no personal attention is paid to customers. Had to ask several times for water refills and what you would think is common sense at an Italian restaurant, bread. When eating with someone else, they brought the food out at different times causing one of us to stare at the other person as they are.
I have been going to Nunzio's since the 1980's, when they were on Coral Way and 97th Ave. I don't go as often as I like, since I now live in a different part of Dade County. Last night, I went to Nunzio's, with my family, to celebrate an accomplishment by one of my daughters. I was glad to see the restaurant incredibly busy with full tables and plenty of customers picking up their "to go orders". The meal was delicious, as usual, and the service just as good. Towards the end of our meal I asked our server for another order of chicken parmigiana with olive oil and garlic sauce on the pasta, in place of the regular red sauce. She returned after a few minutes to tell me the chef will not make another special order. Initially I thought someone was pranking me and I looked around to see who was kidding around. I quickly realized she was serious. The restaurant was very busy and I decided not to pursue the matter and opted to write this review. I have NEVER been told that I cannot buy a plate of food because I want it a certain way, especially when I had just eaten the exact same plate. Hell, even fast food restaurants accommodate their customers likes and dislikes. I'm not looking for any special treatment but it's a shame that Nunzio's now has this type of disposition and person cooking.
I really don't know how people can give good and even great reviews about this place. I've been there for lunch a couple of times and it's always the same bad experience. I just happen to work in the area where this "restaurant" is at, but I told my friends that today will be the last day we're going to this terrible place for lunch. The owner, who is also the waiter is the rudest guy I ever met. He is always angry and in such a bad mood all the time. There is only another waiter or waitress serving table during lunch time. The quality of food is just alright. You can have a much better Italian dining in other places. I assure you that. Oh, and if you try to split the check, this guy will give a really hard time to the point you will either pay only with one card or argue with him for a long time. In summary, DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE EVER!
I have not been here in 20 years and what a DISAPPOINTMENT. To start off their prices are extremely high for the quality of the food, I ordered chicken parm and it was a step above a Tyson chicken patty covered in melted cheese and my pasta was swimming in tomato sauce. The special my hubby ordered was in béchamel sauce and I do not EVER remember béchamel sauce being gritty. It was purely awful we could not even eat the slop served. I went to pay for the wine we drank which reminded me of 7 11 box wine, and the owner came out and wanted to know what was wrong, I proceeded to explain and he defensively said well I guess your an expert and walked away, I said I’d like to pay for the wine we drank and he says no and that he worked really hard on his food, well I never thought opening a jar of RAGUE was hard!! AVOID THIS PLACE!!
I understand a place can have a bad day, that is my conclusion after reading so many great reviews. My experience here was horrible, the waitress was very nice but the food was so bad, the lasagna was dry and cold in the center, like it had been frozen, and we ordered a fungi pasta that made me and my friend literally sick for two days.
