Okay we've had they're amazing pizza. So last night I just wanted a sub. My husband said " Let's stop here. They must do subs too." OH Yes they do! Meat to die for! I had the capicola sub and I swear there was an inch and half of meat! Nowhere we know still makes subs like that js!

HOTB is one of my favorite restaurants because it is consistently good food. Always friendly service. The pizzas are the best. Weove the sauce and highly recommend their upside down pizza. The calzones are killer. Just tried the Brick Box (seafood platter with fish, shrimp and clams) and it was so very good. Excellent batter the shrimp! We also love the baked haddock with greens.

We've ordered here many times. ALWAYS great service and food, 10/10. Very accommodating, also now carry a gluten free crust for the wife. Couldn't be happier with this shop.

My slice of pizza was dry.orded a slice it must of been sitting..but everything else was delicious my family enjoyed the wings and subs.. Friendly even the dinning room area was very nice and clean..I will be coming back..

Nice pizza shop. All the food was excellent, pies, wings and fried pickles. Steak sub and egg parm. The sub bread was awesome garlic and Parmesan encrusted .

Love their pizza, although doesn't taste as good reheated. Not sure why that is. We only buy what we think we can consume the night we order. Love their french fries too!

I drive there from Utica every week because the food is amazing. The char grilled wings are the best I ever had and I tried tons of places over the years. I wish they were closer to me but it's worth the drive even with high gas prices.

The service was quick, and the food was clean and well prepared. I had a Rachel (turkey rueben) with fries. The fries were crispy, and the sandwich was basic in the best way possible; sometimes sandwiches get a little "bulky" on flavor and experimentation; this was not the case at Hot Off the Brick. Good ingredients, well, prepared, sizable portions. Great lunch!

I asked my sister to get some Fish for dinner. Normally, she would buy Fish Fry at our local supermarket. This time, she wanted to try the Fish Fry dinner at this place.... and OMG!!! The batter itself was a symphony so wonderfully Crunchy, it would make Mozart cry tears of joy. The fish??? Deliciously, sinfully, moist and oh so flaky! They make their own coleslaw that would make a southern grandma proud! The fish itself is so generous, it can feed two people. I ate the whole fish and it was worth the extra workout time!(no regrets)The price is worth it! It's best to call ahead and place your order.(I have them on SPEED dial)If you have a craving for some outstanding fried fish, then run...don't walk, to this place. Hot off the Brick has certainly gained a new loyal customer!

Excellent! We are so happy to have a quality pizza/subs/ Friday fish great antipasto salad & daily specials in Westmoreland. We used to go to Clark Mills when we found them after many yrs. We order at least once or twice a week.

Big gigantic slices, thin crispy crust, amazing sauce. The cheese slice had a little bit too heavy of a layer of mozzarella on it... I prefer a lighter hand. The upside down slice what's phenomenal. Nice little selection of desserts. Chicken parm was insanely good. I like to support local business when I can, but it's a lot easier when the food is this good.

When in the area, be sure to have this on your list of eating places!!!!! You won't regret it. Remember to try the chicken riggies...yum!

Brought my daughter there for lunch. Super friendly people. A great experience all around. On the way out the door they gave us a free lg cheese pizza because someone ended up not wanting it. It's so good to see kindness still alive in the world!! Thank you for the experience!!

Chicken parm was outstanding - good quality chicken, covered in sauce and thick, melted mozzarella, on an airy but flavorful, perfectly toasted roll. Wow! Nice people, clean cozy environment. Turned out to be a great choice for our hearty post-Boilermaker brunch/lunch. =) (Still in search of the NY-style pizza of my childhood, with a thin - but not wet/floppy - foldable crust, with a thin even layer of cheese. This was slightly thicker than my ideal crust. Then again, cannot seem to find it anywhere....)

Stopped in here to grab a bite to eat with my sister and my two-year-old daughter after commuting from Canada for about five hours. The pizza was amazing and the hospitality was A1! The young lady who took our order greeted us with a huge smile & was super inviting! The young gentleman working with her was awesome as well! He was so patient and kind and even warmed my daughters milk up for me! Their food and service made all the difference with our 10 hour drive! Thank you all for being so amazing!!!

We ordered pizza the one day which was good. I ordered the BLT sandwich and fries another day which was excellent. Definitely a good place to grab a quick bite if you are in the area. Menu can be slightly limited at times. (Wanted to order salads and they were out of lettuce. Went to grab slices and they didn't have any available) Overall I would recommend.

Welcoming staff also fast and on time with deliverys. Highly recommended for catering and partie events. Great humongous slices with no wait. Amazing food all you something on the menu for everyone. A must try A+

I took the family to have dinner an let me tell you what, this place has really good food everything we ordered smelled and tasted just as good as it looked. At the end of the night when we went to leave the OWNER of "Hot off the brick" himself came an asked how the food was and then as we were leaving for the night he held the door open for me an my family. That right their shows the great customer service they have. Definitely recommend 10/10.

This is a nice clean place. Small for dining in but wide open if you do get a seat. This slice here is 5$. That's a good deal these days I think especially because they actually do the oversized slices that are so hard to find these days. It's BBQ chicken. Service is great, the menu was not updated properly and I asked for a couple of things they no longer had, in recompense they didn't charge me for upgrading some regular fries to specialty fries. The rest of my food is for a long drive so I won't get pictures of that this time. I get the sense the guys here like their job which is a good sign and the bathrooms are super nice, which is always a tell tale sign to me of whether a place is being taken care of by the owner. I'll be happy to stop here more often in the future.

We usually get slice of NY style pizza from here, but this time we tried there steak hamburger! As always they taste great! I also love there pizza slices. Everything was very crispy and delicious. You should try the french fries here, it is spectacular!!! Their steak hamburger is out of this world!!super juicy and delicious!

This is a great place to get NY style pizza and buffalo wings. The pizza was very authentic NY style, from the crust to the sauce to the cheese and toppings. It was some of the best NY style pizza that I've had in the Utica-Rome area. The wings, which we ordered with hot buffalo sauce, were also very good. The sauce was hot but not too hot, and the chicken was tender and well-cooked. The staff were friendly and professional and gave the impression that they genuinely wanted you to enjoy your time there. I'd highly recommend this place to anyone looking for some great pizza and wings in Central NY.

We had the Monday Lunch Sandwich Specials: Grilled Cheese came with THEE best fries for 6.95 Huge BLT with so much Bacon my husband shared a few slices with me to add to my grilled cheese!! The BLT with fries was 8.95 Mike the Owner was so accommodating friendly and has a passion for the food industry. A fellow guest got a HUGE portion of Delicious and flavorful Spaghetti and meatballs for $5!!! A MUST STOP for sure for Delicious food!! The dining area is quaint, so get your food to go. The everything wings are some of the best wings I've had. The party pizzas are huge and well worth it.

Small but with big flavor. Ghoulash is good large portions. Lots of kids during lunch fill the tables.

We have eaten here a bunch of times and the food is always great with great prices. We went there tonight for dinner and sat down after placing our order. Our order came out and there was an issue with my wife's food. I called the waitress over and explained it to her. She apologized profusely and took the food back to the kitchen. When she returned she told us that the entire dinner was on them because of the mistake. We insisted on paying for the food we got. I'm a firm believer that stuff happens and you can't control everything at a business, it's how they react to the issue that defines the quality of the business. They reacted very professionally. We will be back.

Stopped in Saturday evening. Food was quite good but I think a bit on the pricey side. Food was presented nicely on plates, portion size was good. We had: calzone, ham and swiss sandwich that came with tasty and crispy fries plus a plate of 10 wings and 2 bottles of soda. = $45. The staff was friendly but a bit overwhelmed. My reasons for not giving 5 stars are : the wait for our order to be brought to our table was over 25 minutes. Tables obviously were not cleaned for awhile since most had crumbs from other customers. All things considered: I would dine there again.

Hot Off the Brick makes an excellent pickle pizza when cooked right. I recommend avoiding orders on Fridays and Saturdays, as these days seem to result in lower quality pizzas. On other days, however, the pizzas are consistently top-notch!

Usually good, subs are great, pizza, if there busy, slightly under cooked a few time but not terrible. We get something Usually a couple times a month or so.

Great New York Style Pizza at the Clark Mills location! The only negative was the little one wanted a Slushi and they didn't have cups for it for 3 weeks in a row. One of the employees was sweet and gave her a little dressing/sauce container so she could at least have a little taste though.

My family really enjoys the pizza from Hot Off the Brick. Wait times can vary greatly - I ended up waiting an extra 30 minutes past the time they said. While the restaurant is clean, it is starting to look more like a general "storage" area - not really that appealing for people who want to eat there. Being right next to the river - they should take more advantage of that.

The pizza was very good. However we ordered a hot sausage sub sandwich not what we expected. If you like sloppy joes then this is the sub for you. We didn't care for it. We expected a sausage link with melted cheese. Not the case. I ordered the filet burger. It's just a burger nothing special. The older woman at the counter and answers the phone is nasty! I would recommend a take out pizza!

I called for delivery and they had no driver . They told me too use slice or DoorDash . I try slice and place my order which is far more expensive than direct ordering . But I wanted the food so I ordered anyways . After placing the order they canceled my order !! For no apparent reason , this left a bad taste in my mouth and I’m done with hot off the brick .

I understand inflation, but the price of pizza and wings is ASTRONOMICAL! We've ordered a few times, and their food is good, but not so good that it's worth $50-75 for a pizza and wings takeout order. Some of their other menu items like heros would have been more appealing except those prices got jacked up, too, and after trying to order online and finding that their own online menu is inaccurate by about $2 per item, I opted to skip ordering this time. It's just waaaay too expensive. Do yourself a favor, and get better priced pizza and made-to-order subs at Cliff's. Who'd have thought you could get good, fresh food significantly less expensive at a gas station, but that's the way it's going. These pizza places are on every corner and going to price themselves right out of business at $2 PER chicken wing!

Pizza is always great here, but decided to get other stuff and it was awful. CBR fries are terrible, portion is for a toddler. Buffalo Chicken sub had no buffalo sauce on it. Just greasy tenders and cheese. Clam strips were decent but should come with tarter sauce

The dough flavor is top notch. Something must have happened with my order though. I was quoted 35 minutes on a Monday night. My pizza wasn't done until 50 minutes later and it was under done. I'll definitely try again though.

Went to the downtown location, very small inside and a little run down. We expected since it was a pizza place, to see a counter that had a variety of pizzas to choose from. When we didn't we asked if they had slices and he said yes. When we asked what kind, he said cheese but I can add anything. Not sure why you wouldn't already have some made. It was good. So decided to try other location.... they don't have a variety of pizzas out either!! I never heard of this! I like my toppings then the cheese. Everyone is raving in their reviews, although i thought it was good, it definitely wasn't the best NY style pizza. I love jonnys pizza on genesee st, at least they have a variety to choose from and their delicious.... and there's more seating and alot cleaner. But everyone is allowed their own opinion

The pizza dough is always raw... Pizza dough should be raw before it is cooked, not afterwards. And the antipasto was just chunks of lettuce and other stuff..

Mozzarella sauce is watered down pizza sauce, pizza isn't a crunchy crust on the bottom not a bad flavor definitely the flavor is there, wings had very light sauce and could be cook a little more. People were friendly, I did get put on hold and forgot about had to call back

I have eaten at HOB many times and always enjoyed the food. Everyone was always pleasant and helpful. However, this past Sat. I ordered from the online menuu, 1/2 tray of chicken Riggins to take to a party. The menu price was $40. When I picked up, I was told it was $65! I paid ot because I was literally on my way to party. Today I stopped in to register my displeasure and was treated very poorly by the owner. He Saud he sent the change to the people who do his website and it'd not his fault it wasn't changed and if I'd asked for a price I would have known. Why would I ask for a price when it was clearly $40 on the menu. I asked what he could do to make it right and he nothing. It was my problem. I understand his supply prices have gone up but that is very poor service to a long time customer. I feel he could have offered me a $20 gift certificate to make it right. I will never go there again even though the food is good. He was very very rude! There was hardly any chicken in the riggies at all, just mostly mushrooms.

Placed order online for family night that was confirmed. No call back waited over 1 1/2 hours, called and they said sorry it was voided...no call or text to confirm cancelation Now we are making alternate plans at 8:30. Second bad experience, I suggest to stay away!!!!

Usually just get slices. Often times slices aren’t available and that’s fine but today got laughed at by the 2 girls up front when they didn’t have any slices? At least wait for me to leave the building before giving the “you were right laugh” when I ask for slices and there aren’t any. I get that it’s funny that all I get are slices and I’d there are none available I don’t get anything but laughing in my face while your friends looks at you to stop is all too telling. I’d rather go to a worse pizza place where I don’t get laughed at. My son worked for hot off the brick pizza since he was 14 years old. He started making pizza boxes. Over 3 years he slowly moved up to making food & pizza. Over the last 3 years my son missed family gatherings as well as Christmas Eve church just to work for this man. Recently, Mike told him he would fire him if he chose to play in his high school hockey game. Which he did in fact do!! Mike knew he played hockey & knew about his games. Instead of working with my sons schedule he just FIRED him. Which I’m glad he did because now he works for someone who cares & believe his family & school activities come first. So personally I would not spend 5 cents at hot off the brick pizza!!! Go to Mill Town Pizza instead!! Wow, I just saw your response with “happy holiday”. I should screen shot what you really said when you sent me all the personal messages calling me “stupid” among everything else! What an awesome business man you are! You should be so proud of yourself!!

Tried twice to place an order, got left on hold for 10 minutes. Not the first time this has happened. Their pizza is great but not if you can’t order it. Went elsewhere.

Disrespectful son ?-,Mike is more worried about his ego than getting sales. A customer that has spent thousands of dol lars at this place and the food is always burnt, wrongly cooked, and delivers are never prompt and timely. The answering service takes forever and rude. I think for a local pizza joint that has made it a little bigger for themselves is going to be their demise. I wouldn't reccomend my worst enemy to them. Mike the owner should take his son out of that place cause he's going to ruin that business.

The food is alright but the terrible service is getting a little out of hand. Tried calling for 20 minutes before it finally went through then someone answered, said nothing and all I heard was background noise for about 5 minutes before hanging up and calling back. I was placed on hold for another 5 minutes before someone said “hello is someone there”. seems like this happens every time you try and order from here. Not to mention I ordered a special that was less food and more expensive than the one they advertised all over the door when I arrived (no recommendation of the better special) but then again I’m not surprised based on the critters they have working in there…

Great food and prices but won’t order here no more. Every time I order since they have moved the order either gets messed up or they’ve ran out. This is the 4th time in a row I’ve had an issue with this place. They really need to figure it out because the ball is being dropped a bit much.

They delivered an old pizza and put pepperoni on top and delivered it in 17 minutes. It was old and looked nasty. This is the real large pizza. Called the owner and was told I had to bring the money back to put the money on the card and he hung up on me. Went there and then was told the lady left and I had to wait till she came back to get my money back on my card. No one else can put the money back on my card. The guy said no and there was nothing he could do about it. Save your money and order some really pizza such as Tony's.

Went in last Friday and I was given a meatball sub that was char burnt on the top. I call and they said I could drive back to replace it. Asked for a voucher for another visit since I had to drive back. He grabbed the bag and threw it in the garbage and was extremely rude. They were obviously having a bad night 34 for 2 subs

Updated 10/07/2024 HOTB Reputation is inflated by friends and family. BEWARE*** Do you like burnt crust? Do you like burnt or overcooked fish? Or simply do you like to pay high prices and very inconsistent quality? The restaurant is overrated and full of bad attitudes all the way up to the owner. There was also a FB post that landed on my page raving about how great this place is. Expressing my concern for miss leading people I responded in kind with my REAL experience. My post was removed and deleted.

Was one of my favorites.... but what kind of pizza place doesn't have slices available? Once I can understand but twice and in the middle of the day?? Plus last time there ordered baked fish came out raw, they took it back said they would cook a new one and then15 mins later overcooked the same piece of fish because they ran out of fish.... step it up people or you'll just become "another pizza place"...disappointed

Edit!!!! They charged me $105 more than their online catering menu shows!! And when I called and talked to the owner/manager all he did was talk over me and try to educate me on how much eggs, milk and lettuce costs!! When I placed my order the first thing I asked was “are your prices up to date for your online catering” ? I was told “yes they are”!!! They also took it upon themselves to charge my card $60 for a tip…for cooking my food that WE picked up!! He told me his “website guy” hasn’t updated his prices and he’s been waiting at least a year. But they tell you their prices are accurate on line!! Nice way to rip someone off that’s giving you their business. Example… full pan antipasto shows $40 online…they charged me $80!!! So below is my first review…no their prices are NOT reasonable but you don’t know this until you look at your receipt because they lie and tell you prices are accurate online when clearly they charge you what ever is on your receipt…because I don’t know where they have their NEW prices displayed!? So beware before you think about going here for your catering needs. An apology goes a long way but he’d rather talk over you and belittle you when you call to try to resolve an issue. Horrible customer service…No apology, no trying to rectify…NOTHING!! Catering Menu….I ordered large trays of food to serve about 25 people and everything was excellent! Many people also commented on how delicious everything was. Of course I ordered more than everyone could eat but that just means leftovers to enjoy at home! Price was very reasonable and they expressed their appreciation for giving them the opportunity to serve us. Highly recommend! Extremely satisfied! Not any longer!! Overcharging is disgusting and customer service worse!!

Ordered meatballs and was told they didn't have any, but gave me frozen meatballs. Pizza crust is hard and chewy and cheese & crust are burnt!!! $72 for food that is terrible!!! Asked for extra sauce and there is barely any!!! How do you put burnt cheese pizza in a box and expect customers to be happy??? Not a happy camper!!!

Pretty sure I just picked up someone else’s pizza that didn’t get picked up. We ordered peppers mushrooms and onions. Both mushrooms and onions weren’t even cooked. And the crust was very crunchy. Looked like they threw the toppings on and tried to reheat it. Sad, I wasted 31.00 that was terrible.

Stopped in for a slice on my lunch break. Drove back to work and opened the box to find a bunch of metal shavings in there. When I called to tell them, I was told, "I'll let them know" I said, "I don't have time to come back because I'm on my lunch break, but is there anything you can do about it?" They hung up on me. I don't have time to find an alternate lunch. Needless to say, I only went to HOB because Francos was closed, but I won't be buying anything here again. Your staff doesn't apologize for a literal hazard, nor did they offer to refund a $6 slice of pizza. Edit because it won't let me respond to your comment... did you read mine? I work 5 minutes down the road. I drove back to my work and opened the box, like I said earlier I WAS ON MY 30 MIN LUNCH BREAK and literally did not have time to drive back to you. My husband is a machinist, I am quite familiar with what metal shavings look like. It's not about the money or the food, it's about the principle of how you're treating customers who spend their hard earned money at your establishment. I will bring the box back in for you.

My rating is 1 because of the following: Price: 52$ for what you see😱😱😱😱😱 Small pepperoni, mozzarella sticks and a Sunday pasta special- waaaaay too expensive!!! My best friend lives in Saratoga Springs and paid the a little less for the same order!!!! I called her and she placed the same order to a popular pizzeria in her area. See the screen shot.. more because she added a tip and I didn’t because I couldn’t stomach it. Food: See photo… barely any cheese in the over fried mozzarella sticks. Pizza was over cooked and cut very unevenly! Very disappointed.. owner is over pricing everything.. this isn’t Saratoga Springs buddy.. you’re actually charging more than a pizzeria in a very prominent city!!!! The photo shows the price with a 5$ tip. Price gouging in our area needs to stop and I will no longer give my business to the places that are doing so. I’m done. Shame shame I know your name😂
