Opiniones de Sbarro New York
Service is always good. Pizza is always thick and delicious. Yeah I agree the Pizza is expensive , but its Manhattan . Lets be realistic the Pizza is not gonna be cheap out there. Been coming here since 2016 and I look forward to going back in a few months when I go shopping again.
Was craving lasagna and I'm glad I stopped here. The staff was so nice and greeted me soon as I walked in the door. I had my order placed quickly and was out the door within a few minutes. I appreciate that I wasn't ignored and just standing there, the customer service was excellent!
They probably have the best deal as far as meat pizza with their "meat primo". There's no reason to pay five dollars less and get a significantly lesser product at a Pizza Hut. The meat primo here is a girthy, hearty experience. And they even have a seating area in their lower level that no one seems to know about (I'm consistently the only one there) in case you are feeling self-conscious about how much you ordered and want to indulge in feasting without any judgmental, prying eyes.
Long ago my office was across the street, at 11 Penn Plaza. I used to go for a quick lunch to Sbarro's. 2 slices of pepperoni pizza and a lemon coke, no ice please! The Hotel Pennsylvania was still in business. My company no longer is in business.
There's nothing more comforting than setting foot in Manhattan and enjoying a slice of pizza like Sbarro's, simple, affordable, and very satisfying. I would have it again every time I'm in New York. Their restaurants are fast-food style, unpretentious, but very comfortable and perfectly in tune with the city's fast pace.
I ate pizza, the truth is that the pizza was good and at an acceptable price. The attention of the gentleman who gave it to me was very kind, I can't say the same about the person at the checkout. She was like annoyed or fed up with people asking questions. There are a lot of tourists, many speak little or no English and she was a bit rude to several foreign people trying to order. I know that working with an audience that "you don't understand" can be tiring, but it's your job, try to do your best or change to a venue where you don't have to deal with this and be happier. Other than that, the other food I saw looked very good and I wanted to try it, it will be another time :)
I have seen Sbarro pizzerias in other countries with better quality in service and cleanliness, regarding that this shop was a little bit of a disappointment. I might say this one is an average New York pizzeria with various types of pizzas. Price for a piece starts from ~6 dollars for the time being. I would suggest checking other pizzerias as well. You can find crazy number of places to have your pizza at Manhattan.
In NYC since 1956, Sbarro pizza might just be more of a tourist trap pizza than what it is worth. At $9.12 for two slices without a drink this pizza location ranks as one of the costliest slices ($4.19 per slice) in NYC. Maybe you pay for the individual pizza boxes given per slice which is probably the best feature of the slice. The cheese slice I had was ok. Nothing great with a good sauce although it did have a decent flavor. The slice itself was more on the doughy side where it was not crispy on the bottom. Again this is another pizza location that the slice is very comparable to the slice a 2 Bros pizza (.99 pizza) but at 4X the cost. on a side note, this location was featured in an episode of the “Office” where Michael Scott refers to Sbarro as his “favorite New York pizza joint” and says “I’m gonna get me a New York slice”.
Typical pizza Joint located in the shadow of Madison Square Garden as such the prices are overly inflated. They sell specialty slices stuffed slices, calzones, pepperoni rolls, pasta, etc. The staff is not friendly at all it can also get a very busy especially during peak hours. If you absolutely need a slice have at it.
Sbarro is not a true representative of New York Pizza it's got enough oil that if you tossed their pizza in the ocean there would have to be a environmental cleanup and the price for two slices and a water is almost $20 but that's the tourist trap area price. On the plus side the staff is friendly
I feel horrible for the people who go here when they first get into NYC and think this is what New York pizza is. And it’s irrelevant that this place started In New York years ago, it’s turned into nothing more than expensive strip mall pizza. Terrible chain food that is overly expensive, thick, and inauthentic. A tourist trap, and still somehow does business despite better options on every block because tourists don’t know better and see “New York style pizza”
The worse pizza I've ever had in all my life is located here you can tell they don't care about cooking anymore because my pizza was overcooked and I hardly had any cheese on my pizza ! Or sauce . The place when I went was dirty and filled with flies it's like nobody cares anymore I'm surprised this place is open because the pizza isn't even good I rather spend $1.50 for a slice than to come back here to eat .
I order a cheese pizza and the slice came with a surprise. A piece of hair was in the cheese disgusting told the cook and said nothing not even money back or an apology. So if u coming to eat here’s it’s a nice place but look at your food carefully might find a surprise in there….
