Came in today with my wife. We ordered the deer and cabrito. The dear was not gamey at all and was quite savory. I was told by a few people that the cabrito was one of their specialties. We were not disappointed, the meat was tender and juicy as can be. It is paired with a dark sauce which adds more depth in flavor. Hand made tortillas! Need I say more? Our server was always attentive to anything we might need. Having live music, the ambiance is charming. For desert we had the flamed peaches, although canned; with the richness of the ice cream, sweetness and citric flavors from the peaches along with a coffee; it was a good way to end the meal. Will definitely be back.

Whats not to like. Not your typical Mexican dishes. Some dishes are exotic for most. Live music sometimes. A bit loud but not offensively loud. Clean. Service was is great. I came for the mole.

Fresh homemade tortillas are a must! Nice clean atmosphere. Friendly customer service. Everything I’ve had from La Casa de Samuel is very flavorful and fresh. The chicken mole enchiladas are my favorite along with rice and beans. Another delish dish is the stuffed chicken with Tamarindo sauce, very tangy!

Great food, excellent servers, terrific musical ambiance! Amazing choices on the menu. Highly recommended.

Service was great; very friendly. Salsa with chips were amazing. The salsa is served warm. I ordered the Sammy combination. Chicken was pretty good, meat felt a bit dry, chorizo was okay. All is served in a very tomato-y paste which was delicious but at times too overpowering over the bite of the meats and a bit too spicy for me. Husband had the alligator over garlic and said he enjoyed it overall but very oily. Kids had nuggets and fries but the fries were a little overcooked. Will need to return and try other items :)

Neighborhood place serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Spanish is the default language, but this old gringo had no problems! Friendly staff, quick service. Has authentic 'fillings' (squash blossoms, corn smut) in addition to basic steak, pork, chicken, etc.

I'm not trying to be mean the food was good but honestly I have had much tastier food. Service was good probably because it was not busy. They do have parking.

First time dining in, restaurant was buzzing with lunch patrons, fish tank greeting at the front of the entrance. Fresh tortilla station was kicking out tortillas by the dozen.. waitress was very welcoming, chips and salsa were fresh and warm, great flavor not hot at all..I did remove the top layer of water from the salsa, seemed to help and make it thicker.. Ordered the salsa egg platter with a side of bacon, the green salsa was delicious, mild. The red salsa was chipotle based and had roasted peppers,good smokey flavor. Will definitely revisit must try other menu items..

We enjoyed a delicious and enjoyable dinner of Mexican food at La Casa De Samuel. They have some interesting menu items including Iguana, goat, and bull's testicles. We found that Iguana is a bony meat that tastes a bit like chicken but with an interesting zip that's difficult to describe. We also enjoyed their Guacamole, Tacos, Fajitas and Fried Ice Cream. My favorite item was their fresh handmade Tortillas. You can see them being made on site. I haven't had Tortillas this fresh so can't really compare but these were definitely the best I've ever had. We also enjoyed their Micheladas, a citrusy alcoholic drink served in attractive clay mugs. Plenty of nearby paid street parking available.

Bring extra cash for tips! Everyone has their own tip jar. Tortilla person, music person, waitress, bar...they do not split one tip. If the music person comes from the outside, they charge per song.

Server was attentive and friendly, however the tortilla chips were cold, and also thicker than grandma's toenails. Prices were steep considering the area, and flavors could've been richer. Food was good, but very commercial grade quality - we likely won't be back.

La casa de Samuel, it’s a nice friendly overly welcoming scene. We had to wait over 25 minutes to be seated. Everyone waiter wants to attend to you and seated you in the table right by the door which I totally refused. The young waitress gave me an attitude, telling “which table you think will please you” if I am paying, I want to be comfortable were I am seated at. It’s a complicated and overwhelming when every waiter wants to attend to you. And come & asked the same questions, the 6 waitresses over & over again. I was not please or blowing away by their menu. Sorry, over price food for the quality of food you are getting for. They don’t even have handicap parking for their special needs customers.

Do not get cabrito after 1:00 p.m. They make it in the morning and by afternoon and evening it's completely dried out. Really disappointing and very expensive. See the photo. What they call filet mignon is probably backstrap. The margarita was a lime jolly rancher liquefied IMO. Pretty sure it's not real lime juice.
