It's a super chill restaurant that is open late. The food is delicious. I’m vegetarian, so I ordered the avocado and cucumber roll, miso soup, and seaweed salad. They have parking; the atmosphere was very nice to talk and get to know my date.
It's open late. I love this place so maybe not the most unbiased review. The food is very good, the service is good enough, but the atmosphere and vibe are right in my wheel house. Prices are fair.
One of my absolute fave places of all time. Always playing Miyazaki films, open late and consistently delicious
Impressed with how hot and fresh my meal was.
At this price point, Koryo Sushi is one of the best in the Bay Area! We tried their sushi dinner combo and a few rolls, and were very satisfied with the portion sizes and quality of the fish. Someone here loves Miyazaki films because the whole restaurant is decorated with it. Servers are very attentive and friendly. We asked for recommendations and got some great ones. We'll definitely be back for more!
amazing atmosphere with soft lighting, friendly staff, and open late - we ordered the mochi bacon yakitori, potato croquettes, and various sushi rolls, would highly recommend the Flaming Dragon Roll, very impressive presentation! definitely will come back
Koryo Sushi's late-night schedule is a game-changer! Their commitment to serving fresh and delicious sushi even during late hours is commendable. The extensive menu, impeccable service, and vibrant ambiance make it a go-to spot for sushi enthusiasts like myself. Five stars without a doubt!
Did god come down and make the sushi that was delivered to my table? It was absolutely devine. There was so much flavor packed into every bite of each roll. The hot sake was the perfect compliment to the variety of delicious bites. I wish I could eat here every day. The staff is great. The space is very intimate and has a wonderfully fun anime themed decor.
You cant beat good quality sushi that stays open as late as they do. This dedication to quality and consistency is not to be missed. One of the few places I feel welcomed as a solo diner. They have made significant changes in their menu over the years. They have different sections and varieties of toro tuna which they get fresh every week. They have salmon belly and its great. You can fill up with food and drinks for a good price and no judgement on the large apetites. I have only tried the sushi here.
Really good sushi and a surprisingly broad assortment of other foods, amazing service, and open until a ridiculously late time in the evenings. If you're not sure what's still open and you're hungry near Temescal, this is your place, right here. No need to settle for "whatever's open" when you can have amazing sushi and bento until after midnight! Their space is a little weird, they have two storefronts that are kinda joined at the hip. They make it work really well, though! there are TVs, but they usually have something chill on, like a Miyazaki film, and not filled with commercials and blaring. Very chill atmosphere, good place to hang out with friends, be human, and enjoy life. Their tuna tataki and spicy edamame are especially awesome.
Delicious, stays open till 2 am so it's perfect for us because we fish in the bay till late so it works out for us. Only complaint is, it seems like they rush us to get done. Totally understand because it is late, we will continue to eat here, it is delicious.
I enjoy coming here for a very late night light meal and sake bombs. I've also picked up Caviar deliveries from them... and both as a customer and as a driver, they have been very friendly! Update: no more deliveries, but it has become a family night spot to bring our kiddo. (Still enjoy the sake and beer!)
It's was an awesome time! The sushi 🍣 was delicious, and the miso soup 🍲 was great as well! The service was on point. Friendly and the food came fast. We will be back ☺️
I miss this place! (I moved away years ago). Oh a whim I looked them up in hoped they were still doing well. I'm happy to see they are. I worked in the service industry nearby & would come here all the time, even really late at night. If I remember correctly they had a late night happy hour? The staff was always friendly. It's such a cute & clean hole in the wall. I remember they would always play Miyazaki films too.
Amazing sushi and wonderful atmosphere! So good we went back twice in the same week. Our server Viet was so kind and helpful and made the experience really memorable. There was a huge selection of rolls and their tempura dishes always came out hot and delicious. You really can’t go wrong with such great service and menu selections.
Such a sweet atmosphere. They had some fun stuff playing on the tv and the music was perfect. Servers were the sweetest and the food came quickly. I got 2 rolls and an ikura nigiri. My partner got a bowl of ramen and a tempura roll. Super yummy and glad it was open late. Working a night EMS shift so stopping here during our break, the sushi here hit the spot.
everything i’ve tried is really good and they’re open late
Man do I love this place. Late night sushi that is always delicious. Hadn't been back here in a while but so happy that I was able to grab some sushi before a show at Eli's. Can't recommend highly enough!
The food here is very good and they are open very late which is nice. They also have a late night happy hour. The service is great. There selection of sake is good and at the sushi bar they often have specials. For a place that’s open this late. I don’t usually expect much but their sushi is very good.
We love eating sushi here. We were also pleasantly surprised by such a beautiful presentation! Plus it tasted amazing and price was reasonable. The atmosphere is cozy and they have friendly staff.
Happy to have finally found a decent local sushi spot. They have an overwhelming amount of rolls to choose from, with some very unique options. All the rolls we got were delicious. The tempura was piping hot, also very tasty. Service was super fast. Only thing that could have been better was the miso soup. It had good flavor, but was served lukewarm. Hoping to come back soon!
We always go here. Specially late at night and theirbfood alway taste delicious and fresh. The 49er role is my favorite!!
Not to be confused with Koryo Jajang, this is the sushi restaurant right next to it. They've always been great to me since coming from back in high school!! Great prices, friendly staff, and late hours. Saw they didn't have the menu posted, so here are photos.
It was a hard day for me , just got paid came here and the food make my hole body fell dopamine out of the new flavors
Love this place! It's incredibly warm and homey, the service is always great (including the candy at the end of service) and the sushi is decent too! We enjoy being able to watch the anime playing while we eat. Convenient that they're open late too! This time we tried their SOS roll (super spicy but great) and their california roll. We also had the fried oysters, and although they got lost in the tempura they were good too! Will absolutely come back again!

We order take-out almost weekly from Koryo, a nice way to end the week. Really love the fish, the size of the Nigiri is wonderful, but the freshness is one of the best in the Oakland/Berkeley area. The team in the Oakland store are always happy, nice and accommodating. Our only gripe is the miso soup, not much to it. We normally make our own (Miso, Dashi, Tofu, scallions), so you’d think Koryo would be able to do better than me, but not the case. Otherwise our weekly Friday night is full of tasty fish !
We have been coming here for 20 years, and we both dine in and take out. It's small, kid-friendly, and feels intimate. The sushi is always fresh, and the rolls and nigiri are generously portioned. This is one of our family's go-to sushi spots!
This is one of my favorite places, its usually my to go location for sushi in this side of the bay. But tonight I tried the ramen and it was sooooo good!!!! Also service is always good.
Loved the food. It was very fresh and delicious. The staff was very helpful. I have a gluten allergy, and they made sure everything was okay. So I could eat it, even the chef, asking me a few questions to make sure he got it right. As someone who has a gluten allergy like that.Alright, so appreciate it. And the food was very delicious!
Good Sushi, great service, and an intimately authentic atmosphere! A little hole in the wall for now... Parking can be tough, but it's worth it!
This is the BEST sushi I’ve had in the East Bay ! Excellently prepared, fresh & the variety of choices takes longer to read then the entire dinner took over multiple courses and a long talk. 🤣 We needed somewhere open late at night and there’s so few places. I’m so happy that one of them is Koryo Sushi! The staff was delightful and anxious to please, which they did hands-down. I’m allergic to fish, but not Crustaceans. (I know…weird.) They offered vegan and vegetarian sushi. My favorite was the shrimp, tempura, and the awesome New York roll. Black mushroom, avocado and shrimp. The fried gyozas were wonderful. My friend had sashimi and unagi and salmon and was very happy with her meal. We split a large bottle of hot sake. I wish they had more sake choices. I love the three eyed demon sake. A memorable and terrific dinner!
This is my fav sushi place. Open late so you can grab some sush after the bars, or to go if you have to get home fast. Hella good if you're whole night is just to get some good sushi. They are consistent, great quality, and great staff.

I'm in Southern California but I'd gladly make the trip up north just for this restaurant!! The service was perfect, the aroma that fills the building is beyond tempting, and the menu is simple but has many flavorful choices. The noodles are fresh and completely worth an 8 hour drive. Right before I left one of the cooks had just brought out some freshly folded dumplings and they smelled beyond amazing! So I'm sure the dumplings are definitely worth a try too.
We showed up at midnight, were seated right away, but then no one came to check on us for a really long time. After we made mention of it, they were super apologetic, and someone came to take our order almost immediately afterward. Then the owner came over to apologize again, and offered us free edamame. After we ordered, the waitress came back to let us know that they didn't have one of the sushi rolls we asked for. Then the owner came back out to offer us something comparable, on the house. I truly appreciate the efforts taken to ensure that we enjoyed our experience despite the minor hiccups. The food was really flavorful also.
Late night sushi! Good enough for being open super late. We arrived around 12:40am and they said they are taking last orders though, so don't go too close to 1am. Food was pretty good except their tempura seemed really old and stale, and their scallop nigiri did not taste fresh. I loved the time they put into decorating the place though- one piece, totoro, kikis delivery service, and many more anime related decors can be found. Quite fun!
Sushi was good. But the restaurant is of questionable cleanliness.look no further than the curtain separating the sushi preparation area from the back room. It's literally black on one side. Then, standing right outside the door, are two guys smoking cigarettes. Cigarette smoke is blowing into the restaurant. Service was slow but friendly. I won't be back here.
Parents and I were in the neighborhood&wanted some Korean bbq. Mom enjoyed her short ribs. We all agreed the Hawaiian Poke and Sea&Land sushi roll was, good, as expected. I also ordered the short ribs dinner which is served with coleslaw, rice, and miso soup. We enjoyed everything for a reasonable price, which also matched a good portion. My short ribs was a little dry but my mom’s was just right. Also, we had a friendly&attentive server. The bathroom was clean. It has graffiti all over the wall as decor. I guess people leave their signatures upon leaving..didn’t care for that but at least it was clean! Ran out of paper towel so we dried our hands with toilet paper.
It’s awesome that this spot is open late into the night however the food was just okay. The nigiri, sushi rolls and tempura were all mediocre however the miso ramen was really good.
It’s just ok. Ordered to go. I’m used to nicely tight wrapped sushi, and bright colors and flavor in the wasabi, tobiko and seaweed. Sushi is loosely wrapped, a little bland in flavor and the rice seemed a couple minutes overdone. Crunchy skin but dry hemachi, dynamite was a little gooey for me, gyoza maki was interesting and crunchy too. Overall ok.

The staff were lovely, but the food wasn't even mediocre. Nice that it's open late, but that seems to be all the it has going for it.
Got food to go, and it was decent. Attention to detail wasn't great, as my order was partially incorrect, and the portions were rather small for the price as well. The food itself was good though, but not something to write home about. I expect this to be around a 4 star restaurant if I went in person, so I definitely will come back!

Ordered a dinner bento box. Shrimp tempura? Literally 1 pc. And the rest was vegetables. Disappointed that this bento was $30
Bad. First time trying uber eats and enjoying the delivery, I was compelled by the high ratings from this place and bought around $90 of food. As soon as opening the bag, I knew it was going to be terrible. Cheap, cheap, cheap. Cheap, frozen fish. Just the color of the fish told you it was going to be bad - super red, dyed tuna that looked like it had defrosted in a sink. I actually could not eat it because it was so bad - I gave some to my dog.
Although the restaurant has good food and service and atmosphere, One car is broken into every hour in their parking lot. In response, the plaza hired a security guard that does nothing. Going out to eat here cost me more than a hundred dollars to repair a broken window in my rental car, plus an hour of my vacation the next day.
