What a great place for a delicious meal. Went for late breakfast. Got the Tuscan Sunrise drink along with Molise Benedict. Juice was fresh and nourishing. And the dish was very good. Will come back to try more. Staff was friendly and attentive. Must try at The Collection in Oxnard.Only con is the wait but I was alone which made it quicker to be seated
Good food and great service! My wife got the eggs Benedict and I had the meatballs and a side of potatoes. The coffee was awesome! Our server David was very attentive. Will be returning.
The service is phenomenal! And the coffee is very good. I enjoyed the food, we got the caffe breakfast. The chicken sausage was delicious and their bread they serve with it is also delicious. I would definitely come back again.
1st timer and took my Wife on a date after work. This was the 1st time in a LONG time I was blown away by a restaurants food. Worth every single penny. We had deviled eggs to start they were super delicate and nice. I had the Chicken Alla Vodka and everything was perfect, the sauce, spagetti and the breaded chicken was all so perfect. I tried so hard to finish everything but couldn't. The portion was perfect as well and came in a bread type bowl which was cool and delicious. My wife had the Shrimp FRA Diavolo and she loved it as well. The host was very knowledgeable of the menu and gave us a quick run down since it was our 1st time. Our waiter was super nice and was very knowledgeable as well and helped me choose between 2 plates. Had a brief conversation with him as well before we paid about other restaurants. All in all we will be back and can't wait to try something else. Also there was a line when we got there and an even longer line when we left, and this is a weekday. So I'd show up 15-30 mins before the time you think of going.
5/5 – Excellent Experience! Immigrant Son Caffé delivers not only incredible food but also top-tier customer service. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel genuinely welcome. The menu has a great mix of flavors—clearly inspired by cultural roots—and everything tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. What stood out most was the attentive and friendly service, which made the whole dining experience feel personal and warm. Highly recommend for both the food and the hospitality!
Second time coming here and all services from the outside person to the staff inside are excellent. Food is amazing and coffee whether a latte or a cappuccino tastes amazing. The bartender/ coffee maker is awesome and filled with a relaxing personality. The building is a great size and helps keep everything mellow so you don’t feel rushed and can relax. The bar area is inviting and the booths are great as well.Pricing for two is roughly 50-60 including a tip. Keep in mind both visits coffee was purchased and with either a soup add or dessert. That being said I feel the pictures listed are a fair representation of how well this place carries itself for the customer.
We had Sunday brunch here, and everything we drank and ate was delicious and mouth-watering. We started with a limoncello and sangria for drinks. Our entrees were traditional eggs benedict, the immigrant son sandwich, the breakfast lasagna that was so good. The dessert was a tiramisu to die for. Let’s eat!!!
Pretty good food. Outside and inside sitting the tallow chicken and waffle is amazing would try again. Be prepared to wait. Good food though
Amazing service. The food was excellent and super fresh. I will be going here often. My husband loved his omelet, and we both thought the breakfast potatoes were the best we've ever had.
What a great breakfast experience! The lattes were excellent. The menu was lovely and hard to choose! So many interesting options. I had the charcuterie breakfast and it was delicious and beautiful! The staff are kind and attentive and the ambiance is warm and bright and very appealing. We had a lovely breakfast-our favorite on this week-long trip! Definitely stop in here for coffee and breakfast! It is a gem!
Visited this place during their soft opening. Alessandro their manager was nice enough to welcome us. And so as the staff. Food was delicious and nice presentation. There are times we'd like to go back there during the late afternoon but unfortunately, theyre only open until 2pm. I guess because they are mostly breakfast menu.

Food was fantastic service was great. Chef James made it a point to interact with us and reassure us our food was laking a little while because it was fresh and it was FANTASTIC. Fried chicken pasta. A la vodkA DELICIOUS!
So happy you guys are in the collection now! Congrats!! Had the steak & eggs. But I think next time I'll substitute salad for potatoes! 😋
This was our first visit, but won't be our last! We were warmly welcomed by Naomi who did an outstanding job managing the line and making everyone feel like they were important. Our server, Leo, explained everything and was very attentive. We had the Breakfast Lasagna, mainl5 because it sounded unique. It was amazing! Big enough to share and full of flavor. Leo wisely recommended an order of focaccia toast to enjoy every last drop of the lasagna sauce. Highly recommend! We will be back
If you haven't been to Immigrant Son Cafe in the Collection you are missing out. The food is top notch, the entire menu is excellent. Service is also the best with warm friendly employees and management (owner, back Manager, floor manger all making rounds to ensure you have a great meal expieience) we love this place and are there at least once a week. The bar is excellent as well, premiere coffee creations and cocktails with friendly and warm bartenders and premiere league soccer on the TV. Again you are missing out if you haven't yet visited this wonderful establishment across from REI. Regards, Ross B.
Came here for a holiday brunch with my coworkers and it was as amazing as everyone says in the reviews. I had the eggs Benedict and they were delicious. Everyone in my party loved what they ordered. Perhaps my fav part of the experience tho, was the hostess. She was friendly and overall just super cool!! They’re smart to have her up front greeting and seating people. I will def come back because there is so much on the menu that intrigues me!!
What a great morning. What a great way to start the day. Baby wife and I had such a good time having pancakes and lasagna in the morning. Staff were amazing. Food was gooood.

Service was great here! I came here as couple and then again when a group of friends for breakfast. I prefer the outdoor seating over inside. They have good coffee here too.

Came here on a Saturday for brunch, and there was luckily no wait. I got the breakfast charcuterie ($21) and shared the truffle mac and cheese side ($10) with a friend. The breakfast charcuterie was beautifully presented, and the combination was unique, although most of the items weren’t anything unique (smoked salmon, avocado, fried egg, Brie, grapes, roasted tomato). The candied pistachios and whipped burrata were the most unique items and were surprisingly good! I don’t usually like burrata, but it was good whipped (light and mild flavor). The smoked salmon and avocado were obviously good. The fried egg was cold. The chili crunch sauce was all right - it didn’t have a strong flavor. The focaccia bread didn’t taste fresh and didn’t have a strong flavor. The mac and cheese was solid. It was hot, and the top was crunchy. It was quite cheesy, although I like my mac and cheese thicker. It didn’t have a strong truffle taste
Had a wonderful lunch yesterday at Immigrant Son in Oxnard. Our party of 6 was seated right away, the service was great, and the food was delicious. I would give it 5 stars if it weren’t so noisy inside.
I had heard so many good things about this restaurant so I was excited to finally try it. Wait staff was very friendly and my food came out very quickly. I ordered the breakfast sandwich. The portion was large, the focaccia bread homemade. The problem was that it was so bland. literally no flavor. The scrambled eggs had no salt, nothing. Bland. Very little chicken sausage. I added salt and pepper and that really didn't help. I may have just ordered the wrong thing? I'm reluctant to try again because it's not cheap. I don't recommend the b-fast sandwich though unless you're looking for very bland food. Please, add some herbs to the eggs and add more sausage.
The service was great and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, which made me hopeful for a good experience. Unfortunately, the food was very disappointing. Everything we tried was bland and lacked flavor, and even the pancakes tasted off. I also noticed a recent review from the same day describing a very similar experience, so it doesn’t seem like this was just my table. I had heard good things about this place, so this visit was honestly a letdown.
I had heard good things about this place and was excited to visit with friends. The manager and staff were very friendly as we arrived. I asked about gluten free options and was happy to learn they have a bread option that can be substituted for any sandwich or toast. They also have a penne option for any pasta dish. I was very excited about a gluten free waffle and chose that along with breakfast potatoes. Shortly after we ordered, the atmosphere changed. Most of the staff stood around, not doing much of anything. We each had ordered the hot chocolate and when delivered it was room temperature. The waitress dropped them off and disappeared. When she returned with our food, my waffle was hard and dry. It came with a half of an unripe strawberry on top, a small metal dish with butter and another with syrup. Nothing was hot, it was room temperature. Even the potatoes were cold. It took another 10 minutes for the server to come back around so I could ask for additional syrup to try and soften the waffle up. I choked down less than half. Very disappointing. When I asked for the manager I was told he had left. It was a $30.00 breakfast. A cup of cold chocolate, a hard dry waffle and a half cup of cold soggy potatoes. Not including tip. I will not be going back. So disappointed.
I came here for the first time on March 4, 2026 to celebrate my mom’s birthday, and unfortunately it didn’t live up to the hype. She ordered the breakfast lasagna, and I ordered the Molisa Egg Benedict. Both dishes really lacked flavor. The lasagna sauce had an unpleasant bland taste and wasn’t anything to rave about like so many reviews suggest. The Egg Benedict also had very little flavor it mostly just tasted like bread and egg. Even the potatoes were just plain potatoes without any seasoning or standout taste. As for the drinks, my flat white tasted like it came straight from a basic coffee machine it didn’t have that rich espresso flavor you’d expect. The Americano just tasted like regular coffee. Overall, it was disappointing, especially since we were celebrating a special occasion. I was really hoping for a more memorable experience.
I am so dumbfounded on how this restaurant has great reviews. The food was disappointing. The lasagna breakfast lacked flavor. The sauce was borderline bland. Nothing special about it. The Giovanni omelet was dry. How in the world do you make a dry omelet? The side potatoes looked flavorful but there are yes, you guessed it, bland. The jam that came with the toast lacked flavor as well. Seriously how are there so many great reviews? I was so excited to bring my mom here for her birthday along with other loved ones and nobody was satisfied. Why we didn't we complain you ask? Because no one had anything to eat before going so that we can "enjoy" our breakfast. We were so hungry we just ate our food. The food is overly priced and definitely not worth it. The service was great. Everyone was friendly. That was the only good thing about this place. Other than that, we will not be returning.
While the staff is professional, the manager was hostile and unprofessional regarding patrons with a dog at an outdoor table, including rushing us out after paying and rudely interacting with us regarding a dog who was barely out in the area of passersby and his staff. When I spoke with him after, he was also extremely hostile. We were regular customers and will not be returning. The food is o.k., but extremely overpriced. Life is too short to pay this kind of money to be treated badly. There are pancakes of roughly the same quality and other breakfast items at a number of places. What people are willing to pay for is the “experience” ~ helped by atmosphere & staff ~ where they feel a sense of celebration, welcome, and, yes, even a moment of being transported out of their daily lives… or they’d all be making breakfast at home.
