Food slaps, cool place, they gave me free fries for no reason, the counter guy is really really friendly and will make small talk when you enter, really good small local business with extremely cheap price, you can make custom orders

We went late and the guy didn't even bat an eye. Stayed professional, friendly and was a great waiter. They have good food and it's clean.

I grew up on Tony’s Burrito Hut! Most Sundays we would go get 10 corn burritos for $1. (Yes! 10/$1!) So delicious! I moved out of the area 25 years ago. Recently I was in town again and made a special point to go in for corn burritos, hoping they were as good as I remembered them to be, and yes, they were every bit as delicious! The gentleman who helped us was extremely kind and friendly. I can’t wait until I’m able to return for another taste of my childhood!

Tasty, good value burgers, burritos, and similar Mexican fare in a relaxed, casual atmosphere. Ortega burger is good, so is the chicken fajita plate.

Got the small ground beef burrito with cheese and potatoes, instead of cheese and beans, I added onions and cilantro. It was perfect sized. For $7.95, the large sized burrito they use a 12 inch tortilla, for only $9.95, I honestly didn't need, nor want a bigger sized at the time. I also ordered chips with salsa. It was the perfect meal for under $10. I did get this place confused, thinking I was visiting a place I went as a kid, (Ralph's Taco House), Tony's Burrito Hit, also a landmark restaurant since 1973, was grub food. I am grateful they survived the pandemic. As a lot of long time favorite Ventura spots seemed to have shuttered their doors forever. I will definitely be back! So good!!

Bomb Bomb Bomb! Real Mexican food at real reasonable prices! I've lived in Ventura my whole life and am mexican....this is the best spot by far around here. Authentic and awesome customer service, HUGE PORTIONS!!! everything is fresh and tasteful. Don't regret not coming here!!

Best pastor burritos in town. I knocked off a star because one time they were out of pastor, so I got carne asada. I should've went with the corn burritos instead. Just saying. Other than that one time, this place rocks. Definitely a place you want to try.

I was there for 2 he's in hope some old class mat would drop by to see me! I use to live on Rugby Av. Back in 1975 I was 14 ! I was 16 when they open! Backed then the corn burrito was good you got 1 for .10 cents or 12 for $1.00!! So when I was passing thought and stop to see my Brother-in-law Richerd Senate ! We stop ate Sony's for So me of them Corn burritos! They was good ! It not as good when I was 16! ( They was little over fryed!! I also post to my friends that night be for I was come to Ventura and to Tony's in hope to see some one! No one show up 😐😎😭😭 I was sad but idid get to eat at Tony's!! I live inMo.. So you can see why I was sad!!

Now that they have new owners we don't go as often. We don't go as often because the new owner changed the recipes of some of the foods that we liked. Until a few years ago it was totally family-run and family staffed restaurant. The people were all just wonderful especially Grandma! I have been there several times since and I figured out how to order what I like and how to order it. I eat fish tacos with lettuce and tomatoes and no sauce. They're very good. The restaurant is very clean and the food is very fresh I would recommend it to anybody who likes Mexican food. My husband I just don't like anything spicy and they used to let the customer add the spices. Everybody Raves about their corn burritos!

There service is always great, once in a while it seems like they don't flavor any of their meat.

I got chicken fries. They are just alright. Not the worst but definitely not the best or worth the money. I got 2 fries for $20 after tax. The fries arent crispy enough and they use nacho cheese and cheap paste like guacamole and the chicken isnt seasoned.

They looked great with shredded cheese and a side of salsa to pour over. The inside/ beans were actually on the cold side; although my uncle's burrito looked very good. Clean place with okay but not too friendly service. I'm jot sure that I would go back🤔

The second time I ordered 4 corn burritos and they brought out four orders of 5 corn burritos and I had to pay for them all because I didnt want it to get thrown away... and the third time I ordered pazole and some other stuff and came in 25 minutes later and they didnt have pazole and they lost my order again so I had to go to the one on kimball.

I go to this food place regularly and I have to say a few things. When i first started going i had an issue with my debit card in which they charged me twice over the period of a week. They charged me that day then a few days later they charged my bank card again with same price but a few days later and when i was on the phone with my bank and went there and they fixed it and gave me cash back to make it right with NO QUESTIONS ASKED. Just pulled it outta the register . *Kinda sketchy* Now since then, I've been going there regularly ,probably 4 days a week or so because the food is decent . That being said they know me by name and I usually order the same thing every time. But I have to say that I feel they mess my order up probably 2 days outta the 4 days that I go every time. I'll ask for an item without certain ingredients and when I get home those ingredients are on the item. Yes, it is somewhat my own fault but I mean it seems to happen so often that I'm almost to the point in which I won't be going there anymore after today. Basically I'm writing this review to say that I am at fault here by not checking my order before leaving the store. But at the same time I order the same thing everytime I go and they know this and you would think they would get the order right after a while, especially if they know my name and I order the same thing EVERYTIME! Besides that, the food is pretty good!

Skip this place!!! Service was friendly, refried beans good but burritos (Colorado) and tacos (Asada) not so good! Salsa's were watered down to tasteless!!! Why not try quality ingredients at a fair price? Burrito was all beans with hardly any meat that was shredded so you didn't see it in there? Colorado is chunks of beef slow simmered in red sauce and what I ate was? Skip it!

I have lived in east Ventura and gone here for years. Come on Tonys! This price increases have got to stop. 9 $. For one 5 inch small breakfasr burrito. Made of : tortilla, potatoes and an egg. The cheapest food on the planet. There is no way you can justify that cost. I'm outtah here.

This was the first time I ate @ Tony's & the food was horrible! I had chile colorado & it litterally looked like mush, the food was bland no flavor @ all. My co-worker was disappointed in her corn burritos they were cold, the cheese did not melt & their sauce for the burritos was watered down, she also ordered a ground beef taco & was disapoointed as well no flavor & the ground beef was cold too. I have never in my life encountered chile colorado loking or tasting like the way Tony's does. I was very suprsied the had Mexican ladies in the kitchen so I naturlaly assumed the food would be good & authentic boy was I let down! I will bever eat there again!!!!

This place has gone downhill. Food is inedible. Burrito is full of fat and gristle. Extraordinary waits to get your burritos. Never again.

Bad, foul smell in the car on the way home with the "food". Should have taken that as a warning. Tried thier food months ago and thought we should give it another chance. Wrong. Never again..beyond bad.

Great service and friendly but burrito was all beans and rice got Chile Verde no meat tried it because Comales was closed if you want a good burrito try Comales or Tacos Mendoza that's the real deal.

I purchased a California Burrito and regretted it after the first bite lol. Instead of french fries they use traditional Spanish rice! Smh ...Definitely will not be going back to this establishment. They used day old carne asada on my burrito. Aside from that it was bland, no seasoning! This was my first and last time coming to this place.

Go to the other one. They would never turn you away 20 mins before closing. Food has never been great, go here for my mom but that's not happening again. Couldn't make an order of corn burritos? Take care

I will never be eating here again. Time of operation is listed on both google and their website. It clearly states 9am. I called, no answer. I drove-by and they’re closed. Due to their lack of consistency and failure to communicate correct times of operations, my family and I will NEVER be eating here again.

I’ve been coming here for years and it used to always hit the spot but not anymore. Quality and consistency on the food has gone way down. Sad to say but I do not recommend.

I have tried this place 3 times and all times my order was completely incorrect just an apology and some still cold in the middle corn burritos . Never again . No meat in my chile Colorado burrito . asked for no rice.. and git rice n beans n cheese sauce from meat but No meat just sauce too expensive to be this disappointed
