You can never go wrong with The Cheesecake Factory. We’ve done some birthdays there for adults and kids. We waited recently for an hour. That’s reasonable for a weekend night. Go during the week for faster seating. And I haven’t been, but I’ve also heard Happy Hours are also an optimum time to go for time and price. Our recent meal was pricey. But you get absolutely what you pay for in the best way possible. On this particular recent night we went, there was seasoned staff, staff-in-training, and hands-on management all of whom were there to guarantee our experience was enjoyable and memorable. Which it most certainly was. Every member of our party was stuffed to the gills. And we had strong variety across our order spectrum from soups and salads to appetizers to entrees to the breads and of course the desserts. The portions are ALWAYS more than generous. And we can’t wait to eat the take-out that we couldn’t finish. Definitely do make this a dining destination. Especially The Cheesecake Factory @ the Oxnard location!
What a wonderful lunch at Cheesecake factory in Oxnard. We sat in the bar area and Danni was our amazing server. What an amazing person with fantastic customer service skills. We started with drinks and bread. My wife had the virgin Mojito and I had an iced tea. My wife had the turkey burger and I had the skinny chicken pasta. Both dishes were fantastic. The ambiance and service were stellar. Highly recommended
Nothing short of amazing. The portions are out of this world and the taste of each meal was great. Pasta was decent, nothing too spectacular, but I personally liked the Parmesan Chicken and the Cajun Salmon. The best part was actually their mashed potatoes, well seasoned and cooked to soft goodness. Cheesecake wise, great presentation and delicious, but I was a little too full to enjoy it, would recommend to share it and eat less of the meal to appreciate it more.
My family loves to go to the Cheesecake Factory in the Oxnard Outlets. The service is always phenomenal, the food is reasonable and it is very delicious! Thank you Claudia - You are a relational and beautiful server.
From the host to the management just top notch picked up a peach cheesecake slice & a slice of chocolate Godiva with candy apple sprinkles
My bestie and I stopped in for a quick bite after shopping. I had the buffalo wings and she had the crab dip. I loved it, the blue cheese dressing was so good. It tasted fresh and not like it was full of preservatives. It was very filling we couldn’t finish. I was impressed with the service, and the food service being the best! We sat at the bar and everyone was super nice & working really hard as a team. It is super clean and very busy.
I’ve been here twice and love it! The cucumber lemonade is my new favorite drink! SO GOOD!! This last time we went, however, my sister was brought a water with an old piece of lettuce in it and my lemonade had a tiny bug, however I want to concerned cuz it’s from the mint that was in it.. no one’s fault. Definitely going back!
The location is perfect, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. I especially enjoyed the great outdoor seating. Everything was clean and tidy, and the food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!
It was really busy on Friday night, about 30-50 minutes wait. I’d recommend join the waitlist before going window shopping. The atmosphere was good, but the most important thing was the food was tasty! Everything came with a decent portion for 3-5 adults. We were too full to get any dessert. The chicken basil pasta was the most impressive dish!
After a long day sitting in a courtroom, my thought was, "Treat yourself to some Cheesecake Factory!" Today, I went outside the box and had a California omelet with potatoes. Holy cow - the omelet was delish, but the potatoes... they were a step above!!! Don't even get me started on the bread. For desert, I got strawberry cheesecake, and my son got Oreo - we had to get them to go we were so full. Our server, Jill, was awesome - our drinks were never empty - that's top-notch. Now I need a nap...
We sat for open seating in the high table area. You still get the full menu and service. They had gluten free bun for my burger. I enjoyed my pineapple cocktail (I think it was a mule). I forgot the names of our drinks. I recommend the Cinnabon cheesecake.
Good food - we got stuffed! Large portions and very delicious. I had the baca chicken tortilla and my wife the veggie burger. Both great. Plus the spinach cheese and nachos as an appetizer which was also great. But way to much for us. You can eat easily two days from it. Mad desert strawberry cheesecake plus cappuccino. Server were attended and helpful and nice. Place was also clean and good organized. Price is ok for what you get.
Great menu, a little pricey, but good food and drinks. Service was great from our waitress, Allison! Very attentive and friendly, she helped everyone narrow down their decisions. Also, their happy hour menu is great! Better prices and good variety. Will eat again.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Devon is an absolute gem at The Cheesecake Factory in Oxnard! My boyfriend and I have been helped by him twice now, and both times he’s been phenomenal. The first time, Devon helped us pick out two cheesecakes that were spot on — like he somehow knew our taste better than we did. The second time, he helped us choose another flavor, and again totally nailed it. He’s upbeat, friendly, and just has this way of making the whole experience feel fun and personal. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does — his energy makes a difference. The takeout area was spotless, everything was packed perfectly, and he made sure we left happy (and drooling over dessert). If you’re picking up cheesecake in Oxnard, ask for Devon. He’s the kind of employee who turns a quick stop into a reason to come back.
For many years we have come here getting a lot of the same sometimes different of amazing dishes! Today my favorite Umami ribs, Cajun fries, chipotle ranch, and Chicken Caesar salad to share. This has become one our favorite places to visit together. Trevor our server today was very helpful as was many of the others through the years. Thank you for wonderful service! - Jenny and Chris
We had an amazing experience at Lazy Dog! The food and desserts were absolutely delicious, and everything—from appetizers to the main course—was cooked perfectly. The staff and manager were incredibly friendly, professional, and welcoming. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing. We left very happy and satisfied. Thank you for the great service!
I'm giving Lazy Dog a solid 5 stars. Not because its the best food ever, but for the price and selection of menu items it is incredibly.consistemt and great value for money in today's climate. We ordered the chicken meatball tika masala appetizer, which was delicious. It would however be greatly improved with some mini nan bread bites to mop up the delicious, perfectly spiced sauce. My hubby ordered the Mediterranean Bowl that looked really fabulous. This too would have been greatly enhanced with a little pitta bread to scoop up the hummus that was seasoned deliciously. The Lemon Chicken plate with the cauliflower mash and green beans was top notch too. No complaints whatsoever on this except the probably served too much chicken for me 😉 Overall great value and great food all deserving of my 5 stars!
Excellent food, excellent service, excellent atmosphere! This was our first visit, and the manager graciously came to our table to meet us, welcome us, and gave us an additional complimentary appetizer. Couldn't ask for better hospitality and service. The quality of the food was top-notch, and our server was very kind and attentive. And the happy hour prices are incredibly fair. We will definitely be back!
We had one of the BEST dinner experiences we have ever had tonight! Ruby was a PHENOMENAL server! She greeted us immediately, recommended a YUMMY drink and our drinks came out so fast! I witnessed her with 3 other tables while we were dining, and she showed each one the same amount of friendly/attentiveness as us! Our toddler’s food was out so quickly, being our first time, we got a yummy appetizer delivered from the manager, and we ordered the fried deviled eggs-something I wouldn’t usually venture for but OMG. SO delish! Every single thing was exceptional-the food, service, manager interaction, the atmosphere, drinks. 20/10, we will definitely be back!!
The restaurant features a modern, spacious layout with high ceilings and a pleasant ambiance. The welcoming team provided a complimentary appetizer, enhancing our first-time dining experience. The fish and chips were generously portioned and delicious, and the fried chicken was also quite good. While the menu is predominantly deep-fried items, we plan to return.
I'm back in California I really liked this place the last time I was here, hopefully tonight will be fantastic. O yeah this was AWESOME!! SARAH was my server, she was great! Deviled eggs, pulled pork sandwich, cheeseburger and tortilla soup fries, onion rings and to drink huckleberry lemonade was fantastic. Great time.
Lazy Dog is always our go-to when we can’t decide where to eat, the food is consistently delicious! I especially love the chicken tortilla soup, perfect for colder days, and the peach sangria is a favorite too. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean, and our waitress was friendly and attentive. Overall, a great experience!
The lazy dog offers high-quality meals in a laid-back bar ish atmosphere. My potty and I were there for lunch, and there was not a wait for a table. Everyone was very pleased with their meals. And it will certainly be visited again during my stay in Oxnard. I personally had the grilled chicken with lemon which did not leave me feeling overfull and the quality of produce on the plate met my expectations. Allowed me to have a lunch without feeling like I had blown my diet out the window. The staff also had no issues with splitting the check eight ways which we were very grateful for. Will definitely be back.
Some of the best hospitality I've ever enjoyed at a restaurant. My server Eddie was amazing and the manager came around to greet everyone as well. 11/10 for service. They have a really great happy hour menu with an excellent line up of appetizers so make sure you come early. The garlic parmesean chips are a standout.
My husband and I had lunch there last Monday and it was amazing! The staff was amazing our waiter was super nice and he gave really great suggestions as it was our first time there. We also had the pleasure of meeting the manager and he made our experience there so much better. Hands down the best customer service we've had. Now the food. I have to say we were able to try quite a few items including dessert (not featured as it was to go). Every single thing we ordered was delicious. The calamari is on a league of its own on uniqueness and taste. The pink sauce on my pasta was so delicious and creamy. We hadn't even finished our meal and started planning our next trip to eat here. So excited to go again definitely worth our 2 and a half hour drive.
It's a nicely presented restaurant which serves excellent cheesecake. I mean it really is brilliant cheesecake. I had the red velvet one which I would thoroughly recommend. The rest of the food is okay, nothing to write home about but it tastes decent. Our server was a bit off the ball, not giving us enough menus, taking quite a long time to bring us water etc. but she wasn't rude or anything like that, probably just having an off night. They have such a big menu, I'd be happy to go again and try something new.
09/28/24: they've raised their prices in the past couple years. Portions shrunk and worse, the bang bang chicken and shrimp that I love and ordered today consisted mostly rice and barely any protein or even sauce which was really disappointing, not worth it at all for $26! . . . Post-Covid: We've been doing a lot of takeouts from here by placing orders through their website. Took advantage of their promo when they offered $15 for every $50 gift card purchase which I thought was a great deal. Pickup process can be a bit of a hassle since parking is always taken in the front and depending on time, it could get congested. Best to park in the back and walk to pickup food. I've tried curbside pickup and let's just say it'll be less frustrating to just walk in to pickup the order. I usually pick up a bit later than estimated to give them extra time to prepare because they can get busy, depending on what we order, food can tend to get soggy by the time we eat. They always include bread+butter in every order which is always a great incentive 👍👍 . . . . . Pre-Covid: My first time at cheesecake factory, was here on Sat afternoon after our movie. Place was buzzing for sure but got seated almost right away. Dalton our server was a gem, kept us happy with fresh bread and that sweet butter. Food came out timely and wow the bang bang chicken and shrimp blew me away! My husband loved his chicken marsala, I was more into the mashed potatoes with mushroom, another wow from me! After all that bread, I could only finish half but cheesecake factory are also notorious for big portions, not complaining here! Very happy with service (checked on us, made sure our glasses are filled), quality, taste and of course portion of food. Might be our new fave place in Oxnard! Even though we were stuffed, we got a slice of mango cheesecake to go. Heavenly!
Went here for the first time. Food was pretty good, service was very good. However, they play horrible music and too loudly. Also, the barkeep has no idea how to pour Guinness. Those were the only negatives. Wil probably try it again if we are in that area.
Overall the food and atmosphere are really good, but the volume makes it a bit hard to have conversations if you're looking for a place to catch up with someone and can make ordering a little difficult at times. Will say that it is very family-friendly, so if you need a place to go with little ones, this could be a good option. I highly recommend the 5 cheese grilled cheese and will definitely be coming back here again later with family and friends.
Lazy dog is a pretty consistent spot for food, service, and quality. I’ve been coming here ever since it opened up with my family & friends and the only change has been some employees and menu options both of which were good & bad. Lazy dog has one of the best happy hour menu’s I’ve seen when it comes to food with pretty good options and very decent prices. They have very solid burgers and fries options but also have other tasty options like fish and chips, pastas, some Asian fusion dishes and many classic American style spin offs of meat loaf, pot roasts, fried chicken, steaks. Lots of dessert options, drinks and appetizers as well. This spot is one of the latest open restaurants in the area which is nice. I’d definitely recommend anyone to stop in and try this place out if you haven’t already. They have great seating inside and outside. Pretty decent staff overall that’s kind & helpful. Nice spot for the whole family including your dog. They have dog friendly areas and a dog part of the menu. Come by the collection and stop by Lazy dog and see for yourself.
We went around 12 PM on a Sunday afternoon. We got there right before the rush-hour and our server was great but the drink that I was extremely sweet. It was a cucumber martini and I had asked for it on the stronger side, the waitress told me that that drink was with 3 ounces of hard liquor, so I was gonna be OK with it but when I got it, it was very, very sweet and it tasted like juice. I did not mind paying for the extra shot to just get a real drink. I was splurging taking my parents out and I wanted them and me to have a good experience and my parents love the food. We do not have any complaints about that, but I just feel that they can work on their drinks, I think the mai tai is the only drink that’s good and I would assume if you have a full bar, they should be able to have make drinks that match the standards of their food. So I’m very disappointed in what I got. So if I ever wanna go for drinks, I would never come back to this place again. Everything else was great. Our server was great. Our food was good. I was just really looking forward to that drink and I did not get what I was hoping for.
They are well known for their Cheese Cakes and considered as one of the better restaurant chain. The servers are well trained. We had a large group. My food was bland and one of the vegetarian friends ended up getting a non vegetarian food This was not a good experience while expectations were higher.
I had such high expectations for this restaurant, but unfortunately, it fell short in several ways. We arrived five minutes before our 7pm reservation, only to end up waiting an additional 15 minutes for a table to open up. Given that it wasn’t very busy for a Saturday night, this was already a bit disappointing. Throughout the entire time, they kept lowering the lights. I understand that dim lighting is meant to create a certain atmosphere, but it just kept getting darker and darker to the point where it was more annoying than ambient. For appetizers, I ordered the fried mac and cheese balls, which arrived lukewarm, almost cold. They were severely lacking in flavor, though the marinara sauce that came with them helped salvage them a little. The wait for my entree was longer than expected, which was honestly surprising considering the restaurant wasn’t that packed. When my tomato basil pasta finally arrived, it was, at best, mediocre. The flavor was underwhelming, and to make matters worse, it wasn’t even warm. I didn’t bother finishing it, and for the price I paid, it definitely wasn’t worth it. To top off the strange experience, there was a woman in the restroom who was singing loudly in the stall next to me which was incredibly off putting. What saved the meal was the Oreo cheesecake. It was absolutely delicious, and honestly, the only reason I’m giving this place 2 stars. If you’re in the area, I’d recommend skipping this spot and heading to Lazy Dog right next door instead
This place was the best restaurant around. But it has changed and unable to handle rush.. i went on new year and we ordered quesadilla and tacos.. and both came burnt.. Manager was apologetic and did not charge us but it destroyed our evening.. I went there yesterday again and ordered a sandwich no bacon to the order taker.. I repeatedly asked him to make sure there's no bacon and he said " I got you".. i had to take the sandwich togo as we had already eaten enough and today when i opened the togo box sandwich had bacon.. and had to throw it.. such a bad experience again in 2 weeks.
Walked in to the bar on a Friday evening and let me tell you that's the last time on coming to the bar! First, I Walked myself to the bar, Hostess do not greet you because they're more interested in their conversations, after I sat myself on the bar area I had to wait a minimum of 10 minutes before the two bartenders made any approach, I guess it's more important for them to have a conversation with their colleagues rather than greet the guests. Finally one of them came and asked if I wanted to order anything to drink, keep in mind they did not offer any specials or happy hour options just an overall rushed and plain below average service! Very disappointing experienced I will not be coming back and spend my money here.
The most disgusting service in Oxnard is here! There was a very rude and slow waitress Sarah who didn't even standard her work! She brought dirty cutlery with leftovers on a fork and a knife and dirty glass! It's outrageous!! Bringing dirty forks and knives after previous customers for this place is the norm!!!! It's happened several times already! More than once!! The question is, why is the management so swine towards customers?! Next, after dinner, we ordered dessert and a drink. They brought the dessert right away, and the drink in 20 minutes because she forgot about it!!! This is unacceptable! And the most disgusting thing, asking for the bill, this impulent person wanted to calculate us and cheat us for money! She added an extra drink and an extra dish to the bill!!! Where is the management of this place looking??!!! Since we have visited this institution many times and repeatedly brought me dirty dishes, I think it is necessary to complain to the Health Department. Or is the norm here treating customers like pigs??? I think it is necessary to invite inspections from all departments to this restaurant to put things in order! I don't recommend this terrible place to anyone!
