My homeschool group visited Urbane Cafe Oxnard for a field trip, and the experience was exceptional, thanks to the general manager and staff. The general manager, Jimmy , was incredibly welcoming and ensured everything ran smoothly, demonstrating impressive leadership and care for our group. The staff were equally outstanding—friendly, approachable, and highly knowledgeable. They patiently answered our questions about the menu and operations, even sharing insights about the restaurant’s culinary approach, which made the trip educational and engaging. Their enthusiasm and professionalism created a warm atmosphere that everyone enjoyed. I highly recommend Urbane Cafe for both dining and group events, and we’re grateful for their exceptional hospitality!

Urban Café guys is one of my favorite sandwich joints. I love their quality of products that one can taste. Today, I enjoyed their Santa Maria chicken, coleslaw, and bacon sandwich. It was delicious it made my food soul sooo happy. So guys if your in the mood for a delicious gourmet sandwich, and you want to make your food soul happy, come here. Had a Salmon Bowl and it was delicious! First time eating there. I dined in and my order came pretty fast. Friendly workers and it was clean. I recommend and will go again to try eating something else! It was not crowded during the late afternoon on a Sunday!

Honestly thee best urbane cafe in Ventura county and I can even say in the Tri county because I don’t go further and I’m lucky to live near it. It is the cleanest and always has the best service. I work with an agency so I do alot of catering and always use this location because of how organized they are and how they are always ready on time. Jimmy is thee best and his crew is amazing. Truly this is an example of what it is to run a business. I love this urbane cafe they are thee best!!

First. The bread is absolutely heavenly! Made from scratch and fresh baked in a wood fired oven! To die for! Second, the fish sandwich was one of the best I’ve ever had! So good! Third, their bowls are so fresh and healthy with huge portions! Fourth, Jimmy the manager cares about his customers and their experience, and it shows! Thank you Jimmy! Did I mention the bread!!! You have to try it! First time customer but wil be back whenever possible!!! 10+ all the way around!

I grabbed lunch here while in town on business for the day. I ordered the steak chimichurri sandwich and a white chocolate cranberry cookie. The sandwich was AMAZING! You can tell the bread is homemade and fresh. The chimichurri sauce was 🔥! What a great place! The manager Jimmy came over to introduce himself and ask how my lunch was. He was very kind. 5 star service. Will be sure to come back if I’m in town again.

One of my favorite lunch spots! LOVE the seared ahi tuna bowl and the Bella portobello sandwich (vegetarian option). Those are my two favorites. However, everything I’ve tried is pretty good.

Had a UC Banh Mi sandwich. Very good as usual. The manager was very friendly. Drinks are good. As far as atmosphere, that’s not the reason I come here. The food is always very good and they have great specials. Not crazy about their salads.

jimmy and his team are INCREDIBLE. besides the amazing sandwiches, they are such a nice, compassionate group of people. i’m a behavior specialist for a local school district and they opened early to teach our special education students about what it’s like to work at urbane! it was such a wonderful experience for everyone!

I had a great experience at Urbane Cafe. The food was fresh and delicious, but what really stood out was how attentive the general manager, Jimmy, was. He made sure everything was perfect and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Excellent customer service like that truly makes a difference. I’ll definitely be coming

My dad and I come here for lunch often and the food is great but the service is even better! Friendly and proactive staff. We’ve even had them after for work events and have never had an issue, they even helped me load a million salads into my car. Keep it up guys!

I usually go to the if it let her location but this Oxnard location was great. The service was quick, the food was tasty (it was my usual power veggie salad with tofu), and the place was not too crowded. I appreciate the vegan options on the menu. The only thing for this location I would change is better slow. As you enter the front door you're confronted with the cash register so it doesn't allow for any line at all or exiting out that door when you're done.

I’m not a big chain restaurant gal, I usually pack my own and want fresh ingredients. My mom and I were in need of a quick lunch. And boy was this a great surprise. Fresh, delicious, nice price point and still got to feel like treat lunch out for us! The outdoor dining tables were very pleasant. For sure coming back here when I’m in the area. We had the Baramundi sandwich and bowl. tasty and healthy. The ma aged Jimmy was really nice and cared about the experience!

I usually get my lunch here to go when I don’t bring food to work - the food is fresh, delicious and fast. The manager, Jimmy is very attentive and friendly. I am so grateful for having Urbane close to our office as it gives me the option to pick healthy meals even if I am always on the go.

As far as atmosphere, why do they have to have the music up so loud everyone has to practicly yell to hear each. Overall it's ok but the lack of portions is bothersome. I for one am willing to pay more if they go back to how it qas.
