My girlfriend and I had a very nice visit here last night.  I was interested in trying a bourbon flight, and what better spot?  The place wasn't very busy and we were seated at the bar quickly. The bartender recommended the Russels Reserve flight, and it was delicious.  My girl went with a Sailor Moon cocktail, and she loved it.  We'll be back again.

This place is great and deserved way more than a 3.8 rating. Too may bottles of whiskey to count. The New York strip was cooked perfectly. Jay the bartender is top notch if you want to talk bourbon. This is a must visit when you are in downtown phoenix.

Really good food quality. The tuna and salmon plates were very tasty. Loved the dessert too! 😋 They have a big selection of bourbon drinks as you can imagine. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere.

Popped in around 430 to try some bourbon we wanted to try before buying. Went to do that and celebrate a birthday dinner. First impression was the nice block near Footprint center, view from the balcony above arrogant butcher and classy ambiance. It's really beautiful inside. The roasted cauliflower and the artichoke dip were great starters. Smokehouse BBQ combo was melt- in-your-mouth tender and very flavorful. Their bourbon selection is top notch; we tried/shared 6. Our server was attentive and great with menu and bourbon suggestions and didn't pretend to know one of the bourbons he hadn't personally tried. Had an issue with a gift card for part of our meal but they made everything work out so graciously. Highly recommend this upscale place. Thanks Bourbon Room!

It’s a little hidden, but there’s an escalator that takes you right to it. It’s located directly across the street from the Footprint Center where the Phoenix Suns play and you can watch them play live on the TVs inside the restaurant. The food was really good and it has a great ambiance. If you’re ever in downtown Phoenix check them out.

Wesley the bartender made us a NY Sour and it was amazing. So I asked him if he could do his same twist on an Amaretto Sour and he did. It was so good! We also had the Deviled Eggs and the Salmon, both were delish. Very good service. Great view of Footprint and people watching too. Highly recommend!

Had the place near to myself when I walked in around 4. Took a brief look at their whiskey options, an excellent menu separated by types. Went Irish with the RedBreast Lustau. Excellent (albeit pricier than expected) but the space and vibe was just right for what I was looking to do - relax. Barkeep was nice and patient too. Thanks. Hope to come back.

Great place! The atmosphere was similar to that of whiskey, bourbon or cocktail bar. I did not get to see a full list of bourbon available but from what I saw it had a good selection available. I had the PBR Burger which was cooked to order and the bacon on it was cut very thick for all you bacon lovers. Over all I had a great experience here and will return

Upon entering restaurant reception was helping another patron, bartender saw us and ran to greet us ! Brisket platter was tender and juicy , coleslaw was crisp and cornbread balanced zing of sauce. Pulled pork was bomb diggity, the bees knees and slap ya momma good ! They definitely take pride in there meals. Nicko was attentive and helpful in choosing drinks and meals. Made our day!! 10 stars. Thank you

Wow. The Bourbon Old Fashioned was phenomenal (they also have a flight). The ribs, loaded potato, salmon, asparagus, collards, shrimp and grits and coleslaw were delicious 😋 large portions, shareable indeed👍on second level above the Arrogant Butcher (good meatloaf, reasonable happy hour food and drinks) kitty corner of Phoenix Suns Footprint Center Arena. Thank you 🙏

Such a delight to have this place downtown. Stellar motif. A very good and hopefully expanding bourbon/whiskie list. The BBQ was on point as was our libation/foodie guide, Kyle. The messy corn bread was unique and perfect. Fabian the manager, was a pleasure to interact with. We will definitely be back.

New Menu is Amazing, new lunch menu is amazing, I think FABIAN makes sure the food is perfect every time... this is one of the only real bars in Phoenix, the quality and selection is unparalleled in downtown.... the ahi tuna is PERFECTION, THE ST LOUIS RIBS ARE TO DIE, THE GRILLED CHEEZIT IS FROM ANOTHER PLANET GOOD WHEN YOU ADD BACON AND AVOCADO... THE SHRIMP AND SCALLOPS DESERVE A BEST OF PHOENIX AWARD .... It feels shocking saying Phoenix bourbon room has the freshest seafood in Phoenix BUT ITS TOTALLY TRUE. Fabian is a true mixologist and Chef, he can tell you what you will enjoy best if you take a second to slow down.... the bourbon room Phoenix has a relaxed atmosphere and pace - other places will serve their fairs fast but Phoenix bourbon room serve art at a sophisticated pace.

A sultry lit ambiance at all times of day due to some sort of dimmable tungsten lighting leads to a Super easy happy hour to make as it starts at 11 and ends at 6pm every single day! It’s easy to pick between the deviled eggs the Kentucky Fried Chicken Tenders with all the sauces! I’m a fan of a glass of red they serve here ‘A Substantial Red’ and it’s only $10 for this tannin filled mystery nectar. Matt was a fun open kind of bartender who I’m sure is schooled in whiskey and bourbon but definitely entertained all things wine with me!

Popped in for a drink after dinner on a Sunday night. Knowledgeable bartender, friendly hostess, comfy chairs at the bar, and a couple of the best cocktails that we have enjoyed. Would definitely return.

Very chilled location. Very intimate atmosphere. Bartender/Waiter was on point. Seriously I took to sips of my bomb margaritas and food was in front of me ready too smash....I usually dont get both perfect

Went on an off night. No sporting events at the arena nearby. Practically no one there. Had a salad which was really good. Server Tova was attentive and provided excellent service.

The food here is absolutely delicious, and the service is just as outstanding. Tova made our experience exceptional with her warmth, friendliness, and fantastic recommendations that made every bite even better. The fun ambiance, great music, and impressive bourbon selection tied the whole evening together perfectly.

Go here! Good food, good drinks, great atmosphere. Great view. Waiters Patience and Wesley. The restaurant is great for getting a group together celebrating and your pic’s will be nice due to decor. Great bourbon drinks and Wesley makes great nonalcoholic drinks also… Just go!

Went to lunch here for the first time today with a friend. The bartender, D, was incredible. Very personable and attentive. We ordered the Sloppy Cornbread appetizer which was perfectly dense and moist. The corn gravy was great. For entrees we had the New York Strip with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. My friend had the Filet with mashed potatoes and carrots. Both steaks were cooked perfectly to temp and the seasonings complemented all the food very well. We both ordered old fashioned’s, they were divine! They make them with a brown sugar simple syrup that added just enough sweetness. They were perfect. Thanks, D! We finished off our meal with the Snack Time dessert cocktail and it was the perfect ending to a great meal. We will definitely be back!

This hidden GEM is a MUST visit! Bourbon Room has a restaurant and nice fully stocked bar with the BEST Service! Mixologist Patience (from London) is very attentive and has a sincere and cheerful charisma when welcoming you. Very cheerful and happy environment to watch the game, hangout, and has quiet spaces to eat a nice dinner or unwind with a drink! Bring your drink on and ask for the "LONDON GAL".

Our server was phenomenal. She did a great job helping our large group. The manager on duty, however, didn't appreciate requests to music 🎶 changes or increasing the AC (slightly hot when we arrived). He did begrudgingly oblige us. The drinks 🍸 were prepared well, and they had a large bourbon selection that were priced fairly. This could be a great bar but needs a boost to the atmosphere.

The Place is hidden on the top of the building. The first time we came there. I thought the Bourbon and Arrogant Restaurant are same place but we are wrong. It’s good thing we discover their restaurant is on top and nice view of the Foot Prints Center and street. I wish that they should put some sign that the Bourbon is different from Arrogant that makes some of the customer confused that they thought they will get their bourbon drinks from Arrogant😅. Anyway the food is good and my hub is happy about the bourbon drinks that the staff recommended and he likes it. The restaurant are so fancy looking and staff are excellent service, friendly and funny.

Our group of 6 were headed to the Phoenix Stand Up show at 7 and made reservations for 5 pm...now we were 15 minutes late but honestly, it was not busy at all and we were seated right away. The selection of bourbons, whiskeys and tequila is impressive! Unfortunately, we had to send back the margaritas - they weren't good at all. Overall, everyone was satisfied with their food - the pear salad was nice and light and the BBQ combo platter was massive and delicious. I took away a star because we constantly had to flag down our waitress. Drinks, to order, to get the bill, to-go boxes...it was a lot of work on our part despite the relative lack of customers.

Good food. I had the PBR burger and it was huge. The Kentucky deviled eggs were great as well, made with horseradish. My wife had the pulled pork and it was also huge. Also, lots of options for different types of whiskey. Flights available too.

T

I came late, so I was happy to get seated. The cornbread was delicious. The side of gravy was more of a cornbread pudding (its delicious). The mac-n-cheese with brisket was tasty. I didn't care for my burger. It was too much going on. Overall, it was a good experience, despite the obnoxious table seated near me (not the restaurants responsible).

We stopped in after a Diamondbacks game. We had a slight wait to be seated because there wasn't anyone at the host station. We ended up at a booth and after another bit of a wait, Sebastian took care of us. The tables are a bit dark so reading the menu can be a challenge. We ended up with appetizers as we weren't too hungry. Crispy ribs are something different to try. We also had the ahi which was tender.

Tony, was an awesome host! Right in the heart of Phoenix sits a swanky little place called Phoenix Bourbon Room. The menu has something for everyone, the beer is ice cold, the music is chill, nothing is like wayy expensive. There's a view, I think its the South Mountains, but I'm not from Phoenix so I'm not exactly sure on that. I had a burger, it was Phenominal! The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is... I had ordered some pecan pie with fresh whipped cream, I waited, and I waited, and I waited, and.... when I finally got my pie and paid my check, on my way out I opened the pie just to see... and it looked like a bad knockoff of Marie calendars, and the fresh whipped cream? Liquid. Had this sat in the heat window as I waited and waited? Who knows! But, I tried it and it was ok. The staff was awesome and attentive, they just maybe missed this one minor detail. I'm definitely not going to hold it against them, but next time, I will remember to order dessert first! I really enjoyed this experience, and this is a place I will bring any company who comes in from out of town. This place is a gem, go check it out

For us having reservations, the wait for taking orders was a little long. But, once we got everything going, it was great! Food was good. Drink fantastic!!!! We will definitely come back though and try other things.

Not crazy about the food— at all, however you can’t go wrong with $4 cocktails and beer from 11-6pm. Great outdoor patio which is often very under utilized!

Went to the Bourbon Room before an event downtown. The space is cozy and relatively quiet. Menu has a good variety of options. Fish and chips were really good. Service was pleasant. Will definitely go back.

In Phoenix on a business trip. We saw the sign for the restaurant from our hotel. Hubby likes bourbon so we decided to try it out. We were seated immediately, as there were only one other table occupied. We decided to sit outside. Our server took our drink order pretty quickly. He had an old fashion, I had Bourbon punch. Both were really good. We placed our orders when she brought the drinks. She didn’t come back to check on us until she brought our food out. We ordered our second drink then. This time I got a Rising Sun. For dinner I got filet, he got the strip, both medium, and we both got loaded mashed potatoes & Brussel sprouts. My steak was close to well done & was very tough. I ordered medium so it wouldn’t come out not done enough. Should have just ordered it my normal way. His steak was medium rare, which was fine. His steak was also very tough. The brussel sprouts flavor was good, but they were not cooked enough. Neither of us could eat them. There was a cheese sauce on the potato that was very gritty, so we had to try and eat around it. Their prices are very high for the quality of food they are putting out. We’d go back for drinks, but definitely won’t be eating here again.

We were there with a group of 8. The service was not good. It became a joke, actually. We had drinks at one end of the table finished, and the other end still had not received their bourbon flights. The food was delicious. Pulled pork sandwich, bone in pork chop, salads, jambalaya, meatloaf...everyone was happy. The spirit selection was huge, but at least 4 selections were unavailable. The dirty dishes were left on the table for ages. The server needs to know not to carry dishes next to her body with her long hair hanging into people's dinners. The bathrooms needed attention. No tp at 5 pm on a Saturday is poor planning. Could have been awesome. The menu needs an Irish Whiskey flight.

We walked in and the place was pretty empty. We were seated right away. Our waitress was really nice, attentive & always checked on us. Food was mediocre. The artichoke dip was lumpy, deviled eggs nothing special. Our entrees was a bit on the sweet side. Salmon over cooked, & risotto too creamy, pasta tasted like an enchilada, pork chops sweet & they forgot to top it with mushrooms. I hate to say, but the best thing there was my Heaven Hill 10 year bourbon, neat.

C
Chris Whitehill

Girlfriend and I went for drinks and appetizers. Walked in, place was empty and manager said it would be a 30 min wait? Huh? Ordered a mocktail that was straight up juice, Penelope old fashioned was good. Now the appetizers: coconut shrimp tasted like freezer burn and the “krispy” ribs were exactly that. Meat was super dry, sorry lack thereof meat. Horrible taste and texture Won’t be back

T

Our server was incredibly rude from the second we walked in until we left. She didn’t smile at my gf and I or greet us once, had an overall rude demeanor and acted like she didn’t want to be there. We both ordered burgers and I asked for both of them to be on gluten free buns. After a few bites I could tell they came out on normal buns. While she sat on her phone and ignored us I had to call out to her from across the bar to ask her if the buns were gluten free. She said they weren’t right and she’d go have the cook remake them. 5 minutes later a new burger came back out remade on the correct bun but this time extremely rubbery and overcooked. It was very clearly microwaved to cut corners and speed up the process. Not once did our server apologize. She didn’t offer to make it up to us. She didnt even seem sorry. In fact when she walked back over she rudely said, “it’s not like you’re going to die right?”. She then walked behind the bar and openly talked with the other server about a different customer who was being rude to her. She didn’t comp any part of the meal for her mistakes. As a result I wouldn’t tip her even 1 cent. I’ve never received such horrendous service in my life. Her name on the receipt was Am Bar. Slightly Asian looking white girl with dark hair. I only post this description so someone in management sees. Beyond disappointing service. I’ve never wished someone got fired so much. Was only my second time here, first time was some of the most incredible food I’ve ever had in Phoenix and great service from the some gentleman at the bar. This time was so bad I don’t think I’ll ever be back.

A
Angela Peralta

Manager was loud and obnoxious needs retraining, and customer service was handled terribly. Worst of all…when a cockroach is crawling on the floor you should comp your customers. It’s best practice!!! We have video and pictures.

This place is just bad. Glassware comes out with lip stains, clearly not washed. Waited 45min to get food order in, despite them not being busy. Food not worth the wait. Even the bathroom is just gross. Seriously, just avoid!

P
Paul G

Pretty bad. Place was empty and service was incredibly slow. Don't blame the server I think all their staff must have quit. Food was pretty bad. Dried out, room temperature and heavy handed. All other restaurants in area were packed and they were empty. There is a reason why.

C

2nd time at this restaurant, should not have gone back. First time we only had drinks and they were decent. This time around, waitress had an attitude. Husband ordered fish and chips, fish was chewy, overcooked. Ordered brisket, was touch, was thick and hard to cut even with a knife. Had no flavor and tasted a week old, like they warmed it in the microwave. Coleslaw had no flavor. Asked waitress to take brisket off our bill, made a comment that she was afraid to ask the manager then came back and told us he had taken it off our bill and she was surprised he did that. Seemed afraid of him. Not going back, was a Friday night and place was empty, 4 people sitting at the bar. Very disappointing.

J
James Gartside

2 servers, poor follow up, ribs were dry, salad was soggy. Wife never received her bar drink. Space was hot no airflow. Would not recommened. Waited 15 minutes for check, no one stopped by. Waitresses did not bother to make eye contact when walking by. Waitress left card in the machine., we had to return to get our card. Nice environment just no focus on customer service.
