Opiniones de True Food Kitchen - Biltmore Phoenix
Oftentimes restaurants that tout their healthy, organic, and/or wholesome menus fall short of delivering on taste. But that’s not the case with True Food Kitchen in the Biltmore Fashion Park of Phoenix. They’re firing on all cylinders! I enjoyed a nicely balanced tuna poke bowl with a slight spicy kick. My wife’s wild mushroom and spinach sourdough pizza (which I helped her eat) was probably the best pizza we’ve had in years. The cook was ideal: a bit crunchy on the bottom with a soft and light top side. And the toppings made for a great combination. The edamame dumpling appetizer was every bit as good as described in other reviews. And the flourless chocolate cake was a wonderful way to cap the meal. The prices were quite reasonable and we were able to take advantage of a “two meals for $50” special, This restaurant is highly recommended.
True Food- where has this CHOPPED SALAD been all my life? I feel like I’m just experiencing food for the first time ever! The lettuce combination of the Jicama, Amaranth, Apple, Raisins and Dates, Is an incredible journey with sweet/savory and chewy bites! It’s perfect!! I bought it last night so I could have a nice salad for lunch. It’s not even 830 this morning, and I’ve already started in on it. It’s not gonna make it to lunch. I’m gonna eat all of it right now. That’s how good it is. It’s amazing. The salad dressing goes perfect with it. What an incredible salad.
If your looking for healthy great tasting food, you can’t go wrong with a Fox concepts restaurant. True Food is no exception Great Food, Great Service, and a whole vibe. Worth putting in your restaurant rotation.
Dined here yesterday and had a very good experience. The atmosphere is bright and comfortable, the space flows well, and the energy feels calm but lively. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and the menu is thoughtful with plenty of good options. Everything felt fresh, balanced, and well done. A solid, enjoyable place to eat.
My visit to True Food Kitchen was nothing short of exceptional. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared, and every dish highlighted the restaurant’s commitment to wholesome, high-quality ingredients. But what truly elevated the experience was the incredible service we received from Julie. She was attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely enthusiastic about making sure we enjoyed our visit. Julie anticipated our needs before we even had to ask and made thoughtful recommendations that perfectly matched our tastes. Her friendly personality and professionalism turned a great meal into an unforgettable dining experience. True Food Kitchen has definitely earned a top spot on my list, and Julie’s outstanding service was a huge part of that.
We always have a great time here at True Food Kitchen. This is one of my favorite places to bring friends and family. The food is always delicious, nutritious and extremely fresh. We ordered the Tuna Poke Bowl, Strawberry and Arugula Salad with Shrimp, and the Ancient Grain Bowl with Steak. The service was impeccable. We sat outside under the dual sun protected patio with a canopy and umbrella over our table with the fine mist as well. It was surprisingly comfortable despite the 107°F ambient temperature. Price is about what you would expect for Biltmore area, pricey but worth it for the quality of the food, service and ambience. We will certainly be coming back soon!
I went to Tru Food Kitchen with my husband for our anniversary and it did not disappoint. The food was so delicious. I got the ancient grains bowl and added steak. I really appreciate that the steak was grass fed and also that they no longer use any seed oils. This is extremely important to me when picking a restaurant. Overall, the food was amazing and the service was great. We will definitely be back again
Great place to eat a healthy meal. Even the green décor gives that healthy warm vibe. All bowls are great. The hummus is to die for, lasagna, Cobb salad. Great location to have lunch and stroll the outdoor Biltmore mall. My server was excellent. Lovely blonde bubbly young lady. Thank you!! 😊
The food was absolutely amazing! Eat dish was very flavorful. The menu has a variety of items from vegan, vegetarian, to gluten-free options. The only thing that I found odd was that they only have oat milk coffee creamer. It's not a deal breaker. I just drank my coffee without cream. It was delicious. I don't like ginger tea, but for some reason, their ginger tea was extremely delicious. You didn't even have to add any sweeteners to it. They added a slice 🍋, which topped off the flavor. Our server was so nice. I wish I remembered her name.
Amazing food as always! Extra thanks to Julie for the amazing beverages, especially for making me a OG classic specialty, and great service from Rae!
This place slapped. My wife and I heard about being seed oil free and we’re always trying to eat healthier. The food was very good, I got that buffalo chicken grilled sandwich with the kale salad and it was as good as I could have expected. I devoured it. Wife got some sweet potato bowl thing and she loved it. Waitress was nice and had a sense of humor. The vibe was awesome, the food prep is right next to the common area so it’s clear how they prep a lot of the food. Eat here!
I love this place. I have tried multiple salads, they are always fresh and delicious with big portions. The drinks are also very good They have indoors and outdoors seating areas with heaters outside and shades for the sun. The atmosphere is very nice and welcoming They are kids and pets friendly as well
We stopped for lunch on Sunday and had the pleasure of meeting Aaron who was our server. He was spot on for his recommendations and his personality and genuine kindness made the entire meal that much more amazing. We had the charred Cauliflower (always my favorite thing to order), Apple Lemonade and Hibiscus Limeade to start. The drinks were super refreshing and very tasty. For our entrees we ordered the Spicy Panang Curry with steak and the Fall Pesto Pasta with shrimp (recommended by Aaron). Our meal was incredibly delicious and we were able to take half of each entrees home as well. For dessert we got the Squash Pie with a scoop of the vegan ice cream. If you want to have a fabulous dining experience and eat amazing, good for you ingredients, stop by True Food!
......EDIT...... (READ BELOW) I dont normally do 5 full stars but this place deserves it. Also.... don't listen to the nay sayers... they don't know what they are talking about. We dined here for 3 days straight... it's that good! What we had.... Squash pizza (a must) Margherita pizza (also a must) Hawaiian rice add steak Chopped salad add salmon Edemame dumplings Charred cauliflower Seasonal harvest salad add steak Noodle bowl add steak Teriyaki quinoa bowl add steak Spicy curry (not spicy and very very good) Grilled steak *Drinks Bright eyes Kale aid (tart) The OG. *Desserts Carrot cake Flourless chocolate cake Turtle sundae (get this) *breakfast Blueberry pancakes Huevos rancheros Coffee cake Farmers market scramble (add avocado and steak) Literally we ate a ton! The food was consistent. It was always so good. I think we ate here twice a day. So thats saying something. .....EDIT..... I have eaten a this location, vegas. La. I have to say that I had to take a star away because they changed their pizza crust to sourdough. Which I was excited about but it is not great. They should go back to the other crust. I cannot recommend a pizza anymore. SORRY.
First-time visit and the food is good! Atmosphere was casual, semi open air. Menu offered great options for healthy minded. We started with the delicious roasted brussel sprouts (yummy), the turkey burger, grilled sustainable salmon, grilled Korean steak, and it was all so good! We will definitely be back here and our thanks to the staff for a wonderful meal. 808Hi 🤙
Inspiring experience as always. The #food is consistently fantastic and refreshing. The chefs bring an attention to detail and intention to their cooking that is hard to match. The courses were simple in ingredients yet complex in their creations. Extremely thoughtful, delicious offerings that were unlike anything else one might find. Really great option for healthy and clean food. My husband is a new heart patient and really has to watch his diet. True Food was a great option for us to go out and enjoy a nice dinner without worrying if the menu could cater to him. Everything was so good! Great flavors and great service. Stephanie took really great care of us and was happy to answer any questions we had. I have a feeling that we will be going here often.
I loved the ambience and clean food. Natalie our server helped us navigate the menu according to our dietary restrictions. Extra points to her given she was new to the place herself. Overall great experience and would recommend this place for date nights given its not too loud.
Found this restaurant by pure chance and am so happy I went. The food is healthy but it actually tastes good, which isn’t always easy to achieve. Servers are nice and the ambiance feels like you’re in a a lounge. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Bummer they don’t have a location in Tucson or NYC but worth the drive tbh. Will have to come again and try the rest of their menu.
It is my absolute favorite restaurant, and I seize every opportunity to dine there. The ambiance is warm and inviting, making each visit feel special. The food is always exquisite.
It's been a few years since I've been to True Food Kitchen, but they did not disappoint. My fond memory was a gluten free pizza. I ordered another one, this time vegan and it was fabulous! They had other nice vegan options which are clearly marked on the menu but my mind was set on pizza. Service was excellent and we were in a glassed in private room. It was a celebration for my daughter who was celebrating finding her wedding dress. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Thank you True Foods for having vegan options!
Lots of healthy options here and a lovely atmosphere that's even nicer now that the weather is good and the patio is open! The edamame dumplings are out of this world - I literally want to bathe myself in that sauce nightly. I only wish they would give you more than 4-5 dumplings! The burgers and salads are great here too!
I have been eating @ True Foods Kitchen since it opened. The food is always fantastic, but I wanna talk about Julie today. She greeted me at the bar with a dazzling smile, she also makes a mean Citrus Skinny Margarita which I desperately needed after some serious Christmas shopping! Did you know they let you take out cocktails for your shopping convenience? SOLD! I will be returning soon and I will be asking for Julie who never left my drinks empty, her attention to detail is unmatched. Next time you visit TFK Biltmore (Phoenix) ask for Julie and you won’t be disappointed!
We had such a great experience! I ordered the Chicken Parmigiana with spaghetti squash — absolutely delicious! My friend had the turkey burger and said it was perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. We also tried the prickly pear drinks, which were refreshing and so good. Our waitress, Grace, was lovely — friendly, knowledgeable, and made great recommendations. The atmosphere was calm and inviting. We’ll definitely be back!!
We had exceptional service today by Haley and Kayla. We came as an unannounced group of about 25 people today and Haley very happily and confidently made room for all of us on the patio. What great customer service! As always the food was incredible and they even brought us drinks to go once we were leaving. Truly a great experience, thanks to these sweet waitresses!
This is a great place to dine, especially if you have someone in your party that is vegan. The food is always good, particularly the Ancient Grains. The staff is friendly and attentive. My only disappointment is how loud the noise level is inside, which makes it difficult to have a meaningful conversation when you are getting together with family visiting from out of town. I miss the days of quiet restaurants. True Foods is our go to place for a sit down restaurant experience.
The burger was great! Liked the kale salad. They brought the air fried fries on accident...I ate only a few but they were good(tastes like the ones I make at home), probably wouldn't pay $6 for them as a side. Nice to see a healthier french fry offered at a restaurant. Lemon-lime spritzer was tart and refreshing. I dined alone and didn't care for where they sat me-directly facing the entrance, but whatever.😊
True Food was very accommodating to my son who has extreme allergies to pistachio and cashews. They made very careful care to ensure his meal was made safely. Our friend eats a clean keto diet and she was able to find food that fits with her dietary restrictions, directly off the menu. She appreciated that very much. My Meatloaf was good, my favorite thing was the sauce. The meatloaf is a bit different than I am used to. There is a seasoning in it that was not my favorite. There were several of my peers who had the Mac n cheese and felt there was very little cheese. Overall, we had a great experience as a group. Service was good and the atmosphere was very nice! It would be nice if management had a shade for the windows to pull when the sun sets.
The food is quite expensive, especially for dinner. The sea bass is $32 and the portion is quite small. Other dinner items are $17-27. Average food, to be honest. The pasta had too much olive oil. Service is great, and there is a good atmosphere. There are probably better dinner options than this. Not worth it at this price point.
Service was friendly and prompt. Food was good to average. The artichoke pizza was ok, the almond ricotta was not our favorite. The spaghetti squash casserole was very good. The Mediterranean chicken pita was good. The turkey burger just needed something, the flavor was a little flat, not bad, but could be better. The cashew pad Thai was good. Several items came with sweet potato,. We would have preferred a crisper outside, but they were tasty, just soft.
Small menu. Healthy Options. Fresh and high quality ingredients. We were seated immediately. They lost a star for the bean soup. It was very spicy. All the dishes, except for the dessert. we ordered were spicy. it overthrew the good flavors of the food. Service was wonderful. Server knew the menu well.
Went there with a large group (16). We got sat almost immediately. There was a little delay on food and getting checks out but overall they did a great job. Only didn't get a 5 star because for $30 (with tip) I thought that was a little high for lunch. It's more like a $20 plate/experience.
I recently went here on 10/2/24. I came here with 10 other people and although our server Nicole was accommodating, the payment process was inconvenient because while ordering our food we were then notified that with a party larger than 6 we can’t split our payments 🤔. We should have been notified that we were not allowed to split payments before the reservation was set. We were only allowed to split it by 4 cards and had to see how we were going to split it up and as college students it would have been easier to pay for our own meals instead of dealing with someone not paying there part and trying to estimate our taxes individually. I got the lasagna bolognese which tastes delicious but I don’t believe it should have been more than $15. It was one small square cut corner of lasagna with the meat and sauce pilled on top hiding it too look like a full portion, which it was not. “Not worth the prices” Overall, the experience was nice we had fun 🤩 and the birthday girl got a free desert! Thank you! “CHANGE THE PAYMENT SYSTEM - ALLOW SEPARATE PAYMENTS PLEASE” - “NOTIFY PEOPLE AHEAD OF TIME”
When we got there we had to wait for a while to be seated because there was no one at the entrance to help us. After waiting for a while, we decided to go in and ask one of the server if we should pick our own seat or will someone help us. Finally we were seated. The food and drinks was just okay. When you see the restaurant it looks nice and fancy and you expect good food but the food did not meet our expectations. But the ambiance was great.
Allergen warning - Avocado oil is used in all cooking. I don't have a severe allergy and was able to still eat but if you are severely allergic do not come here. Overall the food tasted really good and Haley our server was wonderful. I would give her and the food 5 stars except for the allergy issue and the other servers poor performance. The other servers though had a really bad attitude and it showed. They ignored you or if they helped made it clear that you were an annoyance to them. Someone at our table also asked another server for something and was ignored to the point she had to get up to find someone to assist her. We've been here before and really enjoyed it so I'm not sure if this was just an off day for them or what.
Put squash pie back on the winter menu and I’ll change the rating to 5 stars. It was a poor decision to limit one of your most amazing delicacies.
It took about 20 minutes after being seated before we received any service, and we eventually had to get up and request it. That said, our waitress Amanda was very sweet and helpful once things got going. I had the All-American burger and thought it was delicious. Unfortunately, we weren’t fans of the margarita pizza. I would definitely go back again for the All-American burger, though!
Overall, I was disappointed. I visit Phoenix every winter and have always looked forward to dining at True Food since they first opened. This visit, however, felt noticeably different. The menu itself has undergone a physical change, it now looks and feels far more commercialized, which took away from the thoughtful, earth-to-table experience I had come to expect. The service was unfortunately inconsistent. Our server was very kind, but forgetful. When we ordered a bottle of wine, the staff member sent to open it admitted that he had never done it before. After several minutes of attempting to guide him through it, I ultimately opened the bottle myself, which felt unprofessional from a service standpoint. There was also a prolonged disturbance on the patio caused by an individual from the open-air mall who was visibly distressed and yelling at security. While this was in no way the restaurant’s fault, it was disappointing that during this time no staff came outside clear plates, top up water, etc. Instead, staff remained inside watching through the windows as the situation unfolded for nearly an hour. While many menu items remain familiar, the quality did not feel the same. The butternut squash pizza, for example, was undercooked, with the squash still noticeably crunchy. It’s genuinely disappointing to see a restaurant I once loved feel so changed.
Ate at the Scottsdale location the previous night and had a much, much better experience there. We ate inside at this location and they had the doors open to the patio for the convince of going in and out at the expense of everyone sitting inside being cold. Aside from ordering we saw our waitress once the entire meal and had to keep asking other staff for things like salt, sauce, and more water. The food definitely was not as good, abundant, or flavorful as the Scottsdale location. When all was said and done, I tipped only based on courtesy, not based on anyone earning it. I don't think I'll be back to this location again.
I’ve been eating at True Food for years and stopped in for dinner last night for an early Mother’s Day celebration. The menu has changed and there’s a lot more food options to choose from, however our entire table was not a huge fan of the new hummus or pita bread. Also, we ordered two spaghetti squash casseroles which had about an inch layer of hard cheese on top , came out cold and lacked flavor. It was super disappointing especially with our terrible service from Britt. Not the ideal Saturday night dinner we were expecting.
Each time I dine in at true food I have a better experience. But, it is not worth it for take out or delivery. It’s expensive and the portions are laughable. My soup cup was 1/3 full, my Tuscan salad was missing the chicken I paid over $8 to add, the honey pizza had barely anything on it but hot honey. The three items cost me an outrageous number and were overall just disappointing… what is happening to the food industry. Everything is so expensive and truly just not worth it.
Went for dinner last night. Asian chicken salad was plain and nothing Asian or special about it except for a dressing with a lot of ginger. Hummus was overpowered by lemon. Teriyaki vegan bowl was 90 percent rice and quinoa with very little vegetables (wish I had a picture of that to post). Expensive meal for food I could have made better at home. Waitress said there was a new cook. Should be better trained before allowing to serve, especially on the weekends. Very disappointing.
Pretty terrible order fulfillment for a to-go order. Soup container was barely half full. Ordered a burger protein style and they gave me something totally different. Ordered Brussels Sprouts and it was the portion size for a small child. Other than that everything was perfect.
I use to really enjoy this restaurant. I am GF and dairy free. They only have a few options for this. Yesterday we went for Valentines day lunch. The service was poor. We seated right away and ordered, but didn't hardly see our person assigned to our table after that. Had to ask for plates. Our food did not come to our table as ordered, and didn't have time to correct it and send it back. Had to go all day without eating as I couldn't eat it. I won't be going back here. I don't mind spending the money for great food and service, but didn't get either of these here.
When I arrived, I was greeted by two hostesses who were kind and courteous, which was a good first impression. I mentioned I would be dining alone, and one hostess showed me to my table. Before sitting down, I let her know I was going to use the restroom, and she mentioned that a server would be with me shortly. I was gone for no more than two minutes. When I returned, I sat down and waited patiently, but no server ever came to check on me. What ultimately prompted me to get up was seeing the table next to me get seated and attended to multiple times (2–3 check-ins) while I remained completely ignored. I then went back to the host stand to let them know. They did apologize, and I decided to go to the bar to order a green juice instead. The bartender was pleasant, but unfortunately the green juice itself was subpar—overly acidic and not enjoyable. Overall, while the initial greeting was friendly, the lack of basic table service and follow-through significantly impacted the experience. Attention and consistency are fundamental in hospitality, and that was missing here.
I paid $33 for this ancient grain bowl and it came in a small side dish. I have ordered this Wall multiple times and it’s always come in a large circular bowl. In my opinion, consistency is key for a restaurant. Hence the reason why I am writing this review it’s actually pretty sad that I paid $33 and this is what I got for my dinner. I will never order Togo from this location again.
I generally love this place but I visited AZ for a couple of days and just ordered today via rideshare. They literally replaced my burger with a kids chicken strip order. Receipt included because….what..??
I was looking forward to some high quality chicken tendies, what I got was stale chicken worse than Walmart nuggets. I work 0.5 miles away, like 3min, and it's still cold and feels old. Not to mention you can tell someone tried to cook these in 1min and just started to burn it without actually cooking it.
The food was delicious, but unfortunately my experience was soured by being overcharged. I'll admit I was distracted at the time of payment and didn't notice, leaving $40 cash to cover my $19.50 TrueTrio, tax and a tip. When I got home and reviewed my receipt, I was surprised by the total of $30 plus tax. After calling the restaurant, I was told I had missed menu upcharges - however, by my calculations my total should have been $24.50 - not the $30 I was charged. What was most disappointing was the response on the phone; the person I spoke with showed little concern about the overcharge and instead shifted the blame on me, suggesting it was my miscalculation. I definitely expected better attention to accuracy and customer service. RESPONSE appreciated, but still blaming me for their overcharge - my meal (with upcharge s/b $24.50) and I was charged $30 - imagine the nice profit they build by doing this day over day to their customers.
We have been customers of this True Food location for the past 10+ years and unfortunately will no longer be going back. The food quality and service have gone downhill. I ordered the steak frites and they were out of fries at 6 pm. After waiting a long time for our food, the steak came well done when I ordered medium. After showing the server, she took the steak and I waited 30 minutes for a new one with no apology or updates. The rest of the party had finished eating and paid when I finally got my steak to go. On top of this, the waitress had an attitude.
