Opiniones de Królewskie Jadło Ridgewood
The store attached to Pirogi Boys is so beautiful and has the greatest variety of gourmet treats and goods! They have the cutest, most eclectic flavors and you can tell a lot of thought was put into ordering each item. I loved everything I purchased from here. Just excellent quality of goods.
Lovely vibes.
I love this place. This was my first time here but won’t be my last. The pierogis are the best I’ve ever had. They had a special carrot and cheese with pea pierogi that was absolutely delicious! The drinks were yummy. Great service! My family and I tried many items and everything was good.
5 stars all around. Excellent food, very cute and cozy interior, and friendly staff. Will be back!
I've been going to the Pierogi Boys location in Brooklyn since they opened so was super excited to try their new spot in Ridgewood and it blew my expectations out of the water. I know this is a neighborhood restaurant, but if you're looking for a special evening, then make it your destination. The drink and wine selection is killer. The staff and service were top-notch. The vibe is singular (seriously the interior is beautiful and you can feel the attention to detail). Let's talk food: My favorites were the potato pancakes with the smoked trout, bread and crispy bacon butter, meat pierogi (c'mon, you just have to), and duck confit (I'm still dreaming about the fluffy silesian dumplings it comes with). The quality ingredients shine though and skill and imagination of the chef and team are front and center. Kudos! And do yourself a favor, plan on taking some items home from the attached market. It was the most eclectic and impressive selection of specialty foods, beer, coffee—anything you can think of, and stuff you've never seen before—I've seen in NYC. I hope I can swing by sometime soon to grab a sandwich, too. I can't recommend Pierogi Boys enough. Go for date night. Go for a special occasion. Go if you're hungry. Just go now!
I was absolutely blown away by Pierogi Boys. Upon walking in, you feel like your at a well-established spot that's been in the neighborhood for years. It's warm, welcoming, and the perfect amount of bustling. The drinks were fantastic (shout out to the pickle martini), and the wine list was great. For food, we got the bread, the cucumbers, a herring special, pierogis and the duck. Everything was delicious and plentiful, but the cucumbers and the duck were stand outs for me. It's clear a lot of love and time went into making such a special place, and loved everything about my first meal there. Can't wait to go back!
Amazing food and really great atmosphere in the restaurant both times I've gone. My partner and I also hosted a private dinner party in the basement space (it's beautiful) and everything was handled with such attention and care. I would recommend the party space with just as much enthusiasm as I would the restaurant!
Great great place! Walked in and was seated quickly and well taken care of. They have a great variety of foods so you ought to find something unique for your hankering. I tried the herring salad and sauerkraut pierogi, was blown away by the food! The servers were very attentive + the interior vibe was great. Will be going back soon!
Very tasty meat and potatoe/cheese pierogis, serving size is just perfect and prices are decent ;) grt service and cozy interior with polish music, I really like this spot and will return for sure!
Great vibe, amazing cocktails and food. I will definitely come back soon. Thanks for creating such a lovely place in the neighborhood 🌸
The food is delicious and super fresh. Definitely one of my favorite Polish restaurants in NYC.
Couldn’t ask for a better me or experience. I had the cold beet salad and pork schnitzel. So good. And the service was super friendly and fun!
Love the food! The market is also amazing w a great variety of diverse products. Great addition to Ridgewood.
Amazing food and great service; particularly recommend the potato pancakes with trout roe
Incredible Eastern European food and amazing ambiance, a place like this was definitely missing in New York!
A gorgeous new deli and restaurant! Tasty food that is reasonably priced. Will be coming back!
The best addition to the neighborhood!! Super friendly staff and the pierogis are so good.
So cozy with the warmest service and one of the best kielbasa I’ve ever had :)
The sandwiches from the deli counter (roast beef and chicken salad) were both fantastic.
The boys did an amazing job. Beautiful space and a great addition to the neighborhood.
Cutest bar and market. Just what this neighborhood needs. Owners are lovely.
Beautifully designed Superb assortment of goods Thanks, Pierogi Boys!
Great spot with a lot of really cool products
love the perogi boys, but love that barista even more
great food & atmosphere!
Delicious food and cozy atmosphere
Def need to check this spot out!
Truly delicious!
went to PB 2 days in a row bc they are incredible. articulated nd balanced decor that hangs between stained glass tavern and posh cafe. friendly nd warm service that gives you enough space to be pedestrian & transient. pierogi themselves are immaculate, the white borscht is probably my favorite soup you can get rn, and the cucumber small plate is one of the most pure and adoring framings of an often overlooked fruit. if you like being in places, enjoying company and indulging in delicacies, you would luv pierogi boys
The negative reviewers here are out of their minds. The market is great with amazing fresh produce and hard to find items. The deli counter has great cheeses and sandwiches. The coffee and pastries are wonderful and the pierogis are outstanding (and roughly 20% cheaper than MUCH more basic pierogi spots in the city). Can't wait for them to expand their offerings.
charming and warm, Pierogi Boys welcomed my friends and I for a dinner last night — everyone was SO NICE and the food & drinks were incredible: banger after banger. I can’t wait to come back for another kielbasa & apple whiskey :)
If you like Agi's Counter, you're going to love Pierogi Boys! I went last night with a large group; the hosts were incredibly attentive, and the eggs and pierogi were to die for. The owners are adding a modern twist to the Eastern European cousin. I will keep an eye on their seasonal menu additions as they grow.
I came here on a Saturday night and was eager for a quick bite. I ordered their cheese pieorgis. I saw they had an espresso martini which had a great nutty aftertaste. Overall this is a great place to go for some food.
Ridgewood is a historically polish neighborhood and this new spot pays homage to it in the coolest way. Pierogi boys is a market AND restaurant and cafe (during the morning). The food is delicious at the restaurant and the market has a ton of delicious and special things. Cheese, produce, and expertly picked groceries,
Pierogi Boys recently catered a lunch for us. They were wonderful to work with and the food was so good. Everyone was raving about how good everything was. Great experience!!
My wife and I had a fantastic meal last night. The deviled eggs were the best we have ever had, and the pierogi are truly amazing. We will be back soon.
Everything was sooooo good!!! I loved the way our server paced our courses. We ate slow and took our time. It was a wholesome and warming meal. Will definitely be back soon.
Was so happy to find this place. To begin with I don’t usually seek out polish food but our dear friends at Il Gigante suggested it (love the restaurant supporting restaurants vibe we have here). Between us we had borscht, tomato salad, kielbasa and potato pierogi. Everything was so good but the kielbasa was outstanding. So good I may have to go back again today. Drinks, decor and especially the glassware were all truly beautiful.
I called everyone who makes pierogis in the tri-state area. I was in a pinch and a client needed massive amounts of pierogis for an event. These guys came through for me and saved the day. Not only were they delicious, they were beautiful. Major crowd pleaser. Excellent communication and customer service but most of all.. the best pierogi ever!!!
Tasty food and great atmosphere. After tasting the dessert (sweet pierogi), I genuinely felt like I was back at my grandpa’s house, sitting down for a family dinner. Absolutely delicious comforting and full of nostalgia. I also couldn’t help but notice the artwork by Gosia Herba, which is a huge plus and fits the place perfectly. Lovely work. Awesome place. Highly recommended.
I have been waiting long years for a restaurant serving quality Polish cuisine in an updated version where I could bring my close ones and clients and introduce them to my culture. Now the wait is over, Pierogi Boys finally have a restaurant with table service. The space is a cozy mix of wooden tables and booths set in a space with big beautiful windows with traditional and modern Polish elements. There’s Polish art on the walls, the plates are unique, featuring traditional motifs and there are special coffee cups designed by a Polish artist Michal Loba. Feels like a heartwarming visit at your aunt’s with restaurant quality dishes. We visited twice and had pierogi and kielbasa which have been a staple for years - great classic. We have also tried the Schnitzel (Schabowy) which was absolutely top notch - the crust was puffy and the schnitzel was very delicate. We finished with the dessert pierogi with sweet white cheese filling and chased with the black currant liqueur (and other great cocktails). Throughout the evening the owners came up to check in on us and had a very nice conversation. Beautiful evening - I highly recommend to anyone, not only Polish food aficionados.
Pierogi Boys is an absolute gem! The food is incredibly delicious – the traditional Polish pierogi taste just like homemade, and the borscht is aromatic and perfectly seasoned. The pork schnitzel is also amazing: juicy, flavorful, and truly impressive. The interior, designed in a 70s style, adds a wonderful atmosphere – warm, nostalgic, and full of character. It’s a great spot for a quick meal or a relaxed gathering with friends. Highly recommended!
I love it here. The owners are so lovely and the market, cafe, and restaurant are clearly a labor of love. I’m obsessed with the cucumbers. Can’t go wrong with the pierogis. The staff are all lovely. The market is a dream and has great sustainable products and even refill station for household staples.
Three of us came on a Saturday night on a whim, having given the new spot a chance to breathe after the initial opening weeks. Naturally, we figured there might be a wait (a good sign to see lots of happy people hanging comfortably!), and were more than glad to hang for a couple minutes outside and in the attached grocery for a table to free up. We received such attentive service from the team, with an especial shout out going to Jamie and owner Andrzej (though truly everyone working service this night was on their A-game). We did not have to wait long at all, and were kindly received and hosted in genuinely meaningful ways. Drinks were stellar, and because no booze for me, I opted for a Beet-shrub spritz that more than earns its mocktail status (nice and sharp with a little earthy-ness, super refreshing). For our meal, we shared well seasoned deviled eggs with heaps of fresh dill and roe, a cucumber and farmer’s cheese starter with perfectly toasted walnuts, and finally one of each pierogi offering with all three being truly well executed and balanced. In a neighborhood with lots of options for food (many amazing, an equal number entirely overrated), I would confidently put Pierogi Boys in the former category for their genuinely remarkable customer service and just downright good food. If I would sum up the whole experience in one word it’s this: comfort. That means a lot to me. We’re excited to go back for dinner again and to check out their morning cafe!
We finally tried Pierogi Boys in Ridgewood and it truly felt like home! The meat pierogi, kapusta z grzybami, and schnitzel were all delicious, and the beet, cucumber, and tomato salads tasted just like our babcia’s. But the highlight was the sweet cheese pierogi with apples — soft, creamy, and perfectly balanced. Cozy place, friendly people, and real Polish flavor in every bite 🇵🇱💛🥟 I would give more stars if I could!
Everything delicious!!! Barszcz ukraiński- I have no words how good it is, outstanding, absolutely. Kiełbasa with potatoes the best I ever had in the restaurant. Pierogi with mushrooms…. My God!!!!! Like made in the best Polish house with the best traditions. Congratulations, and good luck!!!
Drodzy Panowie fajna ta wasza knajpka :). I will start with the food, we had 3 types of pierogis, in my opinion meat ones are the best, potatoe and cheese are very good and sauerkraut are not exactly my type but tasty as well, I gues some spices are added that my tangue wasn't fun of :). Good atmosphere, grt service and very cozy interior and I love little mushroom salt shaker! 🍄 After dining we went to your store and purchased some more pierogis🥟 :) Good luck 😊
As a Polish born and raised, I felt incredibly proud seeing how modern the restaurant is while still keeping that authentic folk character. I loved all the thoughtful Polish touches, from the beautiful panoramic illustration of the transatlantic ship to the PRL style plates and cups, and even small details like the Pierogi Boys font. It really felt like home. Now the food… I would honestly say these are the best pierogi I have had in America. I would even argue they could compete with my babcia’s pierogi, which is saying a lot. The meat and sauerkraut were absolutely delicious. I was also so happy to see soups like white barszcz and Ukrainian barszcz done properly, full of flavor and real ingredients. You can truly tell everything is made with love, and that is why it tastes so good. We came for lunch, but we will definitely be back for dinner next time. Of course, we could not leave without stopping by the market for some pączki, and they tasted just like they came straight from a bakery in Poland. Keep it up, Boys, and congratulations on creating such an amazing place. PS Dear waiters and waitresses, please do not forget about the guests sitting in the corner. We had to wait about 15 minutes for our bill. Do zobaczenia 😊
very cute and cozy spot serving up great pierogis and borscht. it was my first time trying white borscht and i think i prefer it now over the red. the pierogis were filling and delicious and also definitely give the reuben a try. the rueben was probably one of my favorite bites from this whole meal. the best part is after you finish eating, you can head to the market that it is connected to.
I can’t get over what a lovely spot this is. The ambiance is just as cozy and detailed as the food. As someone who doesn’t love mushrooms, eggs or gin I thoroughly enjoyed the mushroom pierogi, the Ukrainian borscht and a divine gin cocktail (the Happy Sad) only to be pleasantly surprised by the beet ice cream. The service was phenomenal and I left feeling warmed despite it being the coldest night so far this winter. I can’t wait to come back! The little market through the stained glass window is a must too.
Pierogi Boys Market & Restaurant is such a fantastically designed and aesthetically perfect place! Everything looks phenomenal and tastes even better. One morning I tried the almond raspberry croissant—and it was truly divine! The next afternoon I went to eat pierogi, and they didn’t disappoint either. The soft dough, aromatic and delicious filling (I had the Potato & Cheese) was served with caramelized onions, sour cream, and fresh chives. Last night we went for a drink. I tried "Bałtyk," a cocktail based on gin. At first the taste was a bit surprising, but with every sip I started to like it. The place has a great ambiance! As a Pole, I'm genuinely delighted that New York has welcomed a cutting-edge establishment which manages to showcase Polish cuisine in such a fresh, cool way. Highly recommended!
Finally, a neighborhood Polish restaurant!!! No more traveling to Greenpoint. I was genuinely surprised it popped up out of nowhere. We started with the pickles appetizer, which included dill pickles, pickled tomatoes, and mushrooms. Great start. Our waitress recommended the sauerkraut with mushrooms pierogis with cubed Polish bacon and WOW! I’m usually not a sauerkraut person, but paired with the mushrooms it was incredible! I ordered the duck leg. It was slightly dry, but still flavorful. What really stood out was the sauce and the Silesian dumplings it came with. Those potato dumplings were the highlight for me. They’re unique, lightly sweet, and absolutely delicious. It was my first time trying them and I loved them. The white kielbasa was perfectly grilled, juicy, and full of flavor. Another win. This is a MUST order: the homemade beet ice cream. You can’t find this anywhere else! It’s incredibly fresh, balanced, and not overpowering at all. So good!!! The waitress was fantastic and made great recommendations. I highly recommend checking this place out.
Growing up with a Polish grandma, I have fond memories of this food. But this restaurant’s take was if grandma went to the Culinary Institute. The beet salad had crispy Jerusalem artichoke chips and sunflower seeds, a crunchy contrast to the silky beet texture. The sauerkraut and mushroom pierogies were tangy ragout tucked into generous pillows of dough made from imported Polish flour. All the dishes were Top notch. The Pierogi Boys chef has managed to take this humble cuisine and elevate it to new heights. The trout, kielbasa, creamy deviled eggs with tiny trout roe (eggs on eggs!). The ambience is welcoming, the staff super helpful and efficient. And the cocktails are bangin’. After dinner, we went next-door to their store, which has a wide range of Polish food, fresh organic vegetables, and every unusual bottled, canned or tinned food you can think of.
Amazing place! We’ve been waiting a long time for a Polish spot that’s not only delicious but also beautifully designed. It has that classic old-school charm with a modern twist. We tried everything on the menu and can’t wait to see what else comes soon! Both the restaurant and the market are absolutely worth a visit!
Great date spot and perfect for family/visitors! Lovely atmosphere and the staff is always so considerate. There are no reservations so I recommend going in a warmer month so you can comfortably wait outside. Once when my party and I were waiting, we were able to enjoy a drink on the terrace outside, which was really nice. I’ve heard they’ll be expanding their menu soon. I’ll definitely be a regular here!
Love this spot. Cafe serves an excellent breakfast sandwich with sauerkraut, coffee is smooth & strong. Dinner plates are familiar classics lovingly prepared. Market is a foodie dream & great resource to the neighborhood for farm fresh produce and unique gifts.
I came here by accident just looking for a coffee and ended up having lunch and drinks because the menu was looking professional, creative but also true to the original recipes. I would never order a grilled cheese out at a restaurant because they usually are trash and I make a mean sourdough gc with dill and soup typically, so when I saw this option I had to try it and I was impressed! Also the environment is chilled out and casual so it’s easy to enjoy the food and drinks at your own pace
This place just makes you feel warm inside. The coffee is amazing, pastries are delicious and the energy makes me want to stay here all day. I can’t wait to come back for dinner service. It’s exactly the kind of place that Ridgewood needed. And the market is amazing for fresh produce and unique groceries!
Came on a Sunday afternoon, it was busy but only had to wait 10 minutes for a table for 2. The food was incredible, best potato and cheese pierogis I’ve ever had. The white borsht was also amazing. The attached store also had a really good selection of items. Looking forward to coming back!
I’ve been going to Pierogi Boys in Dekalb market for years now. Finally got to check out the new restaurant. Lovely place with delicious food options. I went closer to breakfast so I had a coffee, raspberry croissant, and the new menu item, the Reuben with mushrooms. These are wild mushrooms so I recommend if you’re a true mushroom lover. I imagine the kielbasa one would be just as delicious though. It was a tough decision for me. Heads up, Google states they don’t take cash. That is NOT true. They take both cash and card in the restaurant and market.
Simply amazing. The food was incredible, the service was warm and welcoming, and the market was larger than I expected. So glad to have soap refills stations in the neighborhood :)
Oh boy....where do I start? My dinner at Pierogi Boys was an absolute joy. From the moment I walked in to the second I left. I sat at the bar as I usually always do and was met with a warm hello and a beautiful view. We started with beyond delicious pickle martinis and finished with a crisp chilled red on tap. It’s hard to put into words just how delicious everything was. You can tell that each pierogi is made with care and tradition. The entire meal felt comforting and utterly satisfying. We shared everything (which was a problem because there was a fork war once or twice over the last bites) and started with the chilled borscht, then made our way to the sauerkraut & mushroom pierogi, and fought over the who was getting the last bite of kielbasa. And just when I thought it couldn’t get better, we stepped into the grocery section. It’s packed with so many incredible products — things you just can't find elsewhere. I wasn't expecting to leave with with two bags of groceries but the heart wants what the heart wants. Pierogi Boys is more than just a place to eat for me, it’s an experience, filled with thoughtful design, and a comfortable place with really good vibes. I’m so grateful they are in the neighborhood. I’ll definitely be back (probably more often than I should). Highly, highly recommend!
Pierogi and Maryla forever! Easily the best Polish place in the city. Food is amazing and so is everything else. Mushroom pierogi are a must!!
What a gem that we’ve gained in Ridgewood! The food was so, so good. They scored the kielbasa in a way that made the skin so crisp. Every part of the meal, including the drinks, was so thoughtful and delicious. The space is beautiful and the design is extremely well done. We can’t wait to return :)

I heard about pierogi boys from the Dekalb market. Once they opened the ridgewood location I was curious to go and try it. Stopped in for some dinner. Had the chłodnik, which is a cold beet soup. It was fantastic! Probabaly the best I ever had. The meat pierogi were interesting. Different than any pierogi I ever had and I am Polish. They were good just different. Would come back.
Delicious food. Hire one or two more people to help out because the staff members are too friendly for how hard they are working.
Welcome to the neighbhor. Happy to have a place to purchase food magazines! As excited as I am about another fantastic store and restaurant moving to the neighborhood, I ask you to please also show support for the local Polish and Ukranian community by patronizing delicatessans and shops on Forest, Fresh Pond, etc , such as Varenyk House (excellent), Zabka Polish Deli, Muncan, Seneca Garden and so many more. The services they offer are a different but it would be nice to see a collaboration . . .
Went to Pierogi Boys Ridgewood on Monday (MLK Day.) the food and server were excellent. I only had two issues; which I feel can be easily corrected because I would love to see this place really thrive. 1.) the food & drinks took forever (I’m giving them grace as Monday isn’t usually a holiday.) I ordered borscht and was delivered “white borscht” which I did not order and it took about 15 minutes for them to correct the mishap. Drinks (a Coke Zero, and dill lemonade) also took forever. We need to speed things up within the bar & kitchen to promote more successful service. 2.) After clearing the first course, the pierogis were delivered and utensils (spoons for borscht) were not changed for forks and knives leaving myself and my guest to eat with spoons. Again, not the end of the world but attention to small details like resetting a table should be taken seriously especially in a small cafe. Our server was super friendly and the staff seemed very helpful… but I think a better focus on attention to detail would be great for this establishment. Upon the bill, I noticed they did not change the white borscht I did not order to the regular borscht (there is a price difference of a few dollars.) I paid for it without mentioning it because I could see it was busy. The food and the people working there is a 10/10 for me. I loved every dish. I just believe a little more speediness in service and a better attention to detail (resetting tables with proper utensils) would do this establishment a lot of good. Will be surely coming back!
My partner and I were excited to try this new addition to the neighborhood. We felt the food was good, and we really liked the atmosphere. The white borcht was delicious, the pierogis were large and delicious too but both my partner and I felt it lacked something. Our main dishes, the schnitzel was a pleasant surprise, the components of this dish were definitely meant to be eaten together (the anchovies brought the saltiness that the schnitzel lacked, if eaten alone there was really not much flavor to it). Overall, would return for their borcht and other menu items.
Pierogi Boy's brings a new hope for the space of an old funeral home. The restaurant is finely decorated with intricate touches. The food is tasty and will warm the soul. And last but not least, there is also a market nextdoor as well, to take home a memory of the experience. However, there is still some fine tuning that needs to happen to really make this place shine brighter than their DeKalb Market location. When it comes to decor, the folky mushroom salt shakers clash with the modern atmosphere of the restaurant. However, the modern Polish music was a nice touch and set a nice ambiance for the place. I also found there to be too many servers squeezed into the small space and the service too attentive. Moving the hosts podium towards the window might help open up the space. I also did not expect the soup and pierogi to come out at the same time, which limited the availabile table space. And the food, it all tasted good. But, it could be better. I found the Ukrainian borscht too chunky, it was more of a beet salad au jus. Also, the short rib pierogi tasted sweet and could benefit from some stewed carrots or potatoes to balance the meatyness. The potato and cheese pierogi were stellar, but the caramelized onion garnish was a tad too sweet. Regardless of these shortcomings, I still recommend Pierogi Boys, but I'll stick to the DeKalb Market location.
Super classic but also fun! Great vibe and service. Perfect little casual brunch stop especially on a chilly day :) the homemade raspberry lemonade is a must get!

pierogi boys are serving pirogies AND a lot ink 💅🏻 where does a youthful tattooed ridgewood resident go on a Saturday? For a pierogi and a latke? To the pierogi boy. My parents will be returning. 🥔
Went in expecting to grab pierogis and borscht, left with sandwiches. I understand they are still new so they are working things out but you’d expect to get pierogis for lunch at place called “Pierogi Boys”. *DINNER MENU ONLY* Anyways we grabbed the tomato heirloom & chicken salad sandwiches which were good but not great (fresh ingredients, tasty but not worth traveling for). Disappointed due to the lack of transparency but still going to try keeping an open mind and try their dinner menu.
food was bomb. waiter had some kinda attitude for no reason and ignored my friend completely. really odd and shocking. again food was fire
I’ve been following Pierogi Boys on IG for years, so when I heard they opened a new spot in Ridgewood I was hyped. Finally, a cool new Polish place in the neighborhood! Fast forward to last week a few friends and I went to check it out, and honestly? Mixed feelings. The space itself is stunning! seriously one of the best designed Polish restaurants I’ve ever seen. The owner is super nice and welcoming too, so this isn’t a hate post. But man… the food and service have some work to do. Pierogi were fine, decent filling, tasty enough, but nothing to write home about. The kielbasa? Tasted like a $20 store bought one. Drinks were okay, but nothing memorable. Service was around a 3/5 at best, both in the market and restaurant side. Everyone seemed kind of lost and running around without direction. Need extra utensils or water? Good luck. Coffee after 4pm? Nope. Soda ❌ The market next door was honestly a bigger letdown. With a name like Pierogi Boys, I thought I’d be able to stock up on Polish stuff. Instead… one sad bag of flour from Poland hiding between overpriced Whole Foods type products. Also, what’s up with dill being in literally every dish and drink? 😂 Like I love dill, but chill with the dill. And they don’t take cash? Okay then. I really want them to succeed, the vibe and branding are there, but right now it feels like form over function. Beautiful place, nice people, mid execution. Hopefully they smooth things out, because the potential is huge.
Food and service great. But tables are absolutely crammed together so much so that the wait service kept bumping into to me for prolonged periods while taking orders and running foods. Would be nice for owner to consider the experience of the customers in that sense instead of trying to make max $ per sq footage
Went with my mom and we ordered the cheese and potato pierogis as well as the sauerkraut and mushroom pierogi. Both were $14 for 6 each which is pretty ridiculous seeing that the best part of the pierogis were the onions on top. The potato and cheese were bland and the sauerkraut ones are nothing special. You can definitely find better in any polish deli or even the frozen section.
Pierogis are good, although more to the sour side of taste. Not an explosion of taste. The schnitzel was the worst ever cooked in the history of human kind; like eating a shoe sole. Drinks nor exciting either. Weird combinations of beet root and vodka that were not successful; something was missing to make it explosive.
Wanted to support a new Polish place for takeout but was letdown. Got the sweet cheese pierogi dessert tonight -- 3 pierogi for $13.06 with chocolate syrup and strawberries with a dry flaky texture like they came out of a bag of chips. I understand the amount of work put in to the atmosphere, staff wages, etc. but I can go to similar places (restaurants that make fresh food) and get 7 pierogi for $14. Those 3 pierogi weren't enough to fill me, a young woman, up.
Went there for dinner since the place is new and we wanted to give it a try. Unfortunately, the experience wasn’t great. The cold air blowing directly on the food made everything go cold within seconds. The menu was underwhelming, with no coffee or dessert options (and sorry, sweet pierogi don’t count as dessert). When we mentioned the air issue, the staff seemed annoyed, and as soon as we finished eating, they dropped the check on the table without us asking—even though there was no one waiting for a table. Overall, not impressed. The only positive is that the attached market does have some nice fresh veggies.
